Capcom has announced the Capcom Essentials package, a value bundle of five games with a Capcom travel bag chucked in for good measure.

Consisting of a four game retail collection featuring Resident Evil 6, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2 and Devil May Cry 4, with a download card for Mega Man 10, the package costs the same as one full-priced retail game.

You'll be able to pick up the Capcom Essentials package when it launches in North America on October 8th for $59.99.

  • 60 dollars for games, and many more of dlc... Great deal btw for anyone, if there's any, who has not done the 5 games
  • does the DLC come aswell?
  • Damn I really want that bag.
  • It's a great deal, too bad I own 3/5 of the collection. Oh well.
  • This is just for the games. DLC is NOT included. This is 100% not worth it. First off there isn't one person out there with a ps3 that hasn't played at least 3 of these games. RE6 sucked. Dead Rising 2 sucked. Devil May Cry 4 was good Super Street Fighter 4 is okay but wait for the next 10 version to be released first. Mega Man 10, was good. This bundle would be good for $30 since most of these games are 2+ years old and have been a part of a sale on the PSN to get them either free or for $5.
  • Capcom Essentials without an Onimusha game is no essential collection... Oh and shouldn't DMC4 have trophies now since it is being re-released?
  • With DLC, instabuy. Without, waiting for pricedrop.
  • Devil May Cry 4 trophies?
  • @8 i don't think so since they rebooted the series. back to topic i've always wanted to play Dead rising 2 but i probably won't get this too many NEW and GOOD games coming out this Fall.
  • @6 no it won't have trophies, the capcom director dude says there will not be trophies for this game no matter how much people want them.
  • I would get it just for Resident Evil 6. I had DMC4 a long time ago, but I never finished it. Wouldn't mind playing Dead Rising 2 though.
  • RE6 alone sours the whole deal. I wouldn't pay any price for that game, no matter the freebies that came with it... still not a bad deal for anyone that doesn't have most of those titles and enjoys Capcom games. As long as they don't touch RE6, that is, lol.
  • Why can't DMC4 have a trophy list? They just need to pick the achievements list of Xbox and add a Platinum trophy... isn't that simple?
  • @1 this deal is awesome for me
  • I hate the fact trophies weren't mandatory from day one! I reckon my collection would be at least 2000 times richer
  • @5 last time I checked I only played dead rising 2 out of all of those and I thought it was a great game, not as good as off the record though.
  • players have asked the KONAMI to wish trophies in METAL GEAR SOLID 4 and KONAMI did it.. players have asked to CAPCOM to wish trophies in DEVIL MAY CRY 4 and CAPCOM sayd : " maybe it's coming in DLC..this cost you 15€ for 20 bronze trophies or 35€ for have a DELUXE-TROPHIES-EDITION with 49 trophies plus the platinum. "
  • @12 all i can say is omfg as for the deal i have SSF4 n MM10 tho ive never played RE6 ive heard bad things... DR2 however i played n liked tho i found it difficult and bought off the record instead...all in all would be an ok deal IMO but i'll wait till price drops say half that price
  • @5 I have not played ANY of these games. So this collection might be good for me.
  • -Dead Rising 2, not the vastly superior update known as "Off the Record" -Super Street Fighter IV, not the arcade edition that added 4 more characters or the remedied balance issues -Resident Evil 6, which they expressed sold much less than they expected and is in the bargain bin these days -Devil May Cry 4, a game that's about 5 years old -Megaman 10, which sucked ass (though it's not the point I'm trying to make) Let's face it. This is just Capcom cleaning up their warehouse that's full of extra copies of these games that never sold. They're just trying to make easy money through their Spring Cleaning.
  • @20 I highly doubt they're pulling extra copies for this, they're probably manufacturing an entire new set of discs. Using the name "Essentials" for this lot is laughable. Mega Man 1-3, Mega Man X, Street Fighter II, Resident Evil 1 and 2 and Devil May Cry are Capcom ESSENTIALS.
  • at #1 ive not played any of them..... well i did play DMC 4 briefly but it doesnt have trophies, so whats the point.... and none of the others interest me. well megaman 10 would be fine if it wasnt so hard like megamans 1-9
  • at #21 - these companies have tons of extra copies at all times, so they will open and dump boxes to get the discs, plus they should have spindles of games anyway. a similar trend has started in the uk with bluray steelbooks - 15 quid for a disc that costs a fiver in a standard amaray, stick it in a tin and charge triple. and i buy them all and it sucks, but its all old stock they are stuck with. in general these companies make more discs than boxes.
