Introduction

Uncharted Golden Abyss is one of the best games available on the Vita at the moment. It has beautiful graphics, great controls and amazing use of the Vita's features. The story is set before the events of Uncharted Drakes Fortune (I think) so it includes old unseen characters as well as a familiar face. The game in terms of Platinum is a long one at least compared to the PS3 versions. There are 35 chapters in total, so more than the other Uncharted games. The main reason why this game takes a long time to Platinum is the bounties. Bounties are items that are randomly dropped by enemies in levels or you can receive them using "Near". They take so long to obtain because they appear at random, it took me 1000 kills to get the last few. If you have many friends with the game you can use that to speed the process up, see the guide for more info.

As for missable trophies there aren't any. All the chapters can be replayed again and there is only 1 trophy that can only be obtained through 1 specific chapter. The game's difficulty was also reduced a bit in the patches, before it was a nightmare. Crushing is a cake walk now and is on a par with Hard difficulty. That's about it for the intro, moving on.

Patch 1.03

Patch 1.02 made Crushing easier but also added some unwanted things. Kills are no longer cumulative by restarting checkpoints. If you are playing the game and it hasn't been patched then it will work, if you do have the patch then it will not. Other cumulative methods such as killing yourself during a chapter or backing out to the main menu and pressing continue do still still work, this effects all the weapon combat trophies. Patch 1.03 is now out and that increases the chances of receiving bounties but BEWARE, installing it resets all counters such as headshot, survivor etc.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Complete the game on Hard difficulty and collect all the collectables

The first thing you want to do is complete the game on Hard difficulty. You have to complete the game on hard before crushing difficulty will unlock. Also during this step you will want to get all the collectables across all the stages. Unlike previous Uncharted games, collectables in this game consist of 'mysteries' and 'treasures'. A mystery is made up of specific items, photos and rubbings. You need to collect every clue in the mystery to solve it, thus getting the trophy. For the treasures there is a few sets such as turquoise glyphs, jade glyphs etc. These are separate to the mysteries and there is a certain amount in each collection with a few scattered about in each chapter. This sounds complicated but once you play the game more you'll understand.

The final thing you'll want to do in this step is get as many weapons and miscellaneous trophies done as you can. If you have played previous uncharted games you'll be familiar with the concept of this and shouldn't have any trouble with them. A good tip is to prioritise weapons which you need a trophy for and don't use ones that you already have the trophy for, this will speed up the process by saving you having to grind at the end. At the end if this step you should have all the treasure trophies, charted! - Hard, some weapon kill and misc trophies.

Step 2: Complete the game on crushing difficulty through chapter select, clear up remaining misc trophies

The main thing you want to do in this step is just complete it on Crushing difficulty. This is the hardest difficulty in the game and if you don't have the patches installed it's even harder. With the patches installed however, it is somewhat easy and I flew through crushing in only a few days. You will also want to do what you did in the previous step with the weapon trophies. Prioritise weapons which you need a trophy for and don't use weapons that you already have the trophy for. At the end of this step you should have all but the bounty trophies and some of the weapon trophies.

Step 3: Bounty Farming and Clean up

Missed out on a collectable? Didn't find a miscellaneous trophy? Well now is the time to go back and get them. The main thing you want to do in this playthrough is farm the bounties. I recommend using a combination of "Near" and farming in chapters to get it done quicker. "Near" works by you clicking 'Black Market', then opening "Near" and updating it. This will send all your friends who own a Vita a 'Game Goods' which they can find and download in the "Near" app. This will give them 1 bounty of yours (Don't worry, you still keep all yours). You can do this every 3 hours, the goods also expire in 3 hours so you have to redeem them quick. If you had an army of people doing this on your list you will get the bounties easily but it can be difficult because of time zones.

The farming technique is slightly different. What you want to do is load up one of the following chapters I have provided in the guide below and keep killing enemies. Then restarting the checkpoint or backing out to the main menu and then using continue or during to restart the checkpoint so you can replay the checkpoint again. Unlike the weapon etc trophies you can still get bounties by hitting 'Restart Checkpoint'. I found that backing out to the main menu would make bounties appear more frequently though, it's totally random. Bend Studios say playing on Crushing makes more appear but that isn't true, I got them all by playing on Easy and Normal. I tried Crushing but the drop rate was the same. Prepare to kill about 1500 enemies too, it's not a walk in the park. At the end of this step you should have all the trophies and your Platinum, congrats!

56 trophies ( 48  1  )

  • Collect all other 55 Trophies for this Trophy.

Simply collect all 55 trophies for this Platinum, congrats!

  • Find the strange relic.

The strange relic is located in chapter 15. Part way through the level you will eventually reach an area where there is a wooden door which cannot be opened. You need to go on with the level and get to the other side of the wooden door to let Chase in. In the area where you do this look opposite the wooden door. On the wall to the right is a bit you can climb up, simply climb up and it will be at the top. This trophy will unlock as soon as you pick it up. See the treasure guide here if you want a video location, look for the chapter 15 video.

  • Defeat 75 Enemies in a row without dying.

Note: If your partner dies it doesn't count as your death, the counter will stay.

This is very easy to do compared to the other uncharted games as there aren't many climbing sequences in this game that will allow you to die. As you will be playing on Hard difficulty first to unlock Crushing you most likely won't get this as the enemies pack a punch on Hard, it is entirely possible though.

A recent patch caused problems with the 'Restart Checkpoint' method, so you cannot restart checkpoint anymore to get the 75 kills. There is an alternative method though. What you want to do is load up a chapter with many enemies (any chapter with a turret is good), kill all the enemies then press and 'Quit to main menu'. When the menu loads just press 'Continue' and the survivor kills will carry over. This works for the weapon trophies too. I had a kill streak of 1275 whilst going for the bounties so this trophy is unmissable, if you use the farming bounties method over "Near".

The trophy will unlock after you kill 75 enemies without dying.

  • Defeat 100 enemies with headshots.

    See 250 Headshots

  • Defeat 250 enemies with headshots.

A follow up from the 100 Headshots trophy, this time you need to get 250 Headshots. To score a Headshot you just have to make sure the bullet that kills the enemy is a headshot, it will usually be a one hit kill. The best gun I found to get Headshots with is the Dragon Sniper because you can line up a Headshot very easily, especially with other snipers. Upon getting 250 headshots the trophy will unlock.

  • Defeat 20 enemies by shooting from the hip (without aiming).

This is referring to when you free shoot. To free shoot you just want to press without pressing to put the reticle up. The best guns to try this with is the GAU-19, WES-44, Shotguns etc. These guns are one hit kill at close range and it is easy to get a kill without aiming. The trophy will unlock upon killing 20 enemies without aiming.

  • Defeat 20 enemies with gunfire by aiming while hanging.

You will kill more than 20 enemies while hanging from just playing the game, as in some chapters you have to shoot enemies while hanging to advance. Hanging can be anything from holding onto a ledge or holding onto a rope. If you still don't have it you can grind it in chapter 32 with the bit where you have to protect Chase while swinging around the roof. The trophy will unlock after killing 20 enemies whilst hanging.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with the 92FS - 9mm.

This is one of the most common guns in the game, it is found in almost all chapters and it is an all round good gun. The first time you get to use it is when you encounter the first set of enemies in the game, one of them will have one. Due to this gun being so common you will most likely get this trophy just by playing the game.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with the Micro - 9mm.

The first time you get to use this gun is during chapter 9. It is a fairly rare gun and isn't in the later chapters so chances are you will not get this during your first playthrough. There aren't really any good farming spots for this gun so I advise whenever you see it, to pick it up and get kills with it. Aim for Headshots as it has a low ammo count and Headshots are most effective.

  • Defeat 30 enemies with the Wes - 44.

I found this to be one of the best and most effective guns in the game because it is one shot kill on any part of the body (even on Crushing, except it's not one hit kill on the shotgun guys). You will want to pick it up whenever you see it available for use. It is a revolver kind of gun that Sully uses in the PS3 versions of Uncharted. The first time you will be able to use the gun is during chapter 7, it is a bit scarce then until about about the 20th chapter then it will become available again. The gun isn't common among enemies and you have to pick it up from areas in stages most of the time.

  • Defeat 30 enemies with the Desert - 5.

I found this to be one of the best and most effective guns in the game because it is one shot kill on any part of the body (even on Crushing, except it's not one hit kill on the shotgun guys). This gun is similar to the Wes - 44 but it is a desert eagle kind of gun that has a clip. You will want to pick it up whenever you see it available for use. The first time you encounter this gun is during chapter 26, only Dante's men will carry it and the same goes for the SAS - 12.

  • Defeat 70 enemies with the FAL.

The FAL is another common weapon and is first found in chapter 7. The FAL is a 3 round burst gun that you will most likely have used in the previous Uncharted games. It is very effective for getting Headshots with because the gun is so common you won't need to grind kills for it as I got it during my first playthrough, you will be doing at least 2 playthroughs anyway so you can't really miss this.

  • Defeat 70 enemies with the M4.

This is a weapon found very late in the game and the first time you will be able to use it is during chapter 27. The gun is similar to the AK-47 but it has hardly any recoil and it is very effective for Headshots. This gun is only carried by Dante's men but can be found in chapters just laying about. There aren't many grinding spots for it and in the later chapters you are swinging from ropes most the time, thus cannot use it. Just pick this up whenever you see it and get as many kills as you can.

  • Defeat 30 enemies with the Moss - 12.

The first time you will find this gun is during chapter 3. The only people that carry these guns are the big guys that take more bullets to kill. The gun is a pump action shotgun, short range but good damage at close range. Dante's big men mainly carry SAS - 12's, so you need to grind this earlier on. As soon as you see a big enemy just take his gun off of him and use it only at close range or you'll waste ammo.

  • Defeat 70 enemies with the SAS - 12.

The SAS - 12 is probably the rarest gun in the entire game. It is first found in chapter 26 and you have to pick it up from gun placements most the time. Dante's big guys will sometimes carry this gun. The SAS-12 is the same as the Moss - 12 but it has a slightly higher fire rate and shorter range. There's no way you will get this just by playing so you will need to grind it, which you can do on:

Chapter 29 - After the GAU - 19 grinding area you will see a few big guys with SAS - 12's coming towards you along a wooden bridge thing. Kill them and then get the SAS - 12 and all it's ammo. I highly recommend doing this on either Easy or Very Easy. You will see a few enemies across the ravine and you have to kill them for the bridge to drop, keep firing the SAS - 12 in the direction of them until they are all dead. IF you still have ammo left wait for the other guys to come then kill them too. Once you run out of ammo just jump off the cliff to restart the checkpoint. Trophy will unlock after getting 70 kills with it.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with the M79.

The M79 isn't the most common of guns but when you find it you can kill multiple enemies with one round. The M79 is first found in chapter 19, whenever you find it make sure to pick it up and try to make the ammo count. It will be one hit kill on Normal and below but it will take a few on the higher difficulties. The M79 is a grenade launcher and is NOT to be confused with the GP32 - BND. If you don't have this after your two playthroughs you can grind it in the following chapter:

Chapter 26 - At the very start of the chapter you are on a ledge with Sully. You automatically get an M79. Firstly shoot the guy who is on a tower, make sure you kill him. This will cause all the enemies to go alert. Look in the distance at the gap between two towers, a few enemies will be shooting you from here. A well placed grenade will kill then all. When you run out of ammo just kill yourself or do the whit to main menu method. Trophy will unlock after getting 50 kills with it.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with the GP32 - BND.

This gun is ONLY available in Chapter 21. The gun is similar to the M79 but it is smaller and carries more ammo per clip. The reason you can only get it in chapter 21 is because it is Sully's unique gun and you can only use it during the boat scene when you take control of Sully.

To grind these kills you will want to play the chapter until you reach the first set of enemies. Kill the first guy on the right, then the two just ahead. When you turn the corner look to your right and kill the two in the distance, then turn to face the wall to your left and kill the two here. You will then reach a bit where 4 enemies will be ahead of you, kill them as quick as you can. After that you will see 3 enemies on the right hand side, kill those. Just before you reach the rope bridge kill the guy that appears to the left just before it. As soon as he dies press then 'Quit to the main menu' then 'continue'. This is also the best spot to grind for Spanish gold bounties. The trophy will unlock when you get 50 kills with it.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with the Dragon Sniper.

The Dragon Sniper was one of my most used guns in the game and I had about 500 kills with it by the time I got my Platinum. This gun is first found in chapter 3 and it is a scoped rifle, a sniper. It is one hit kill anywhere on the body, even on Crushing. The game has a lot of parts to it where you need to snipe enemies that are far away to protect your partner, so you will get this by the time you finish up your two playthroughs without a doubt. The trophy will unlock once you get 50 kills with it.

  • Defeat 30 enemies with the RPG - 7.

This is another scarce gun, it is first found in chapter 32. You should know what an RPG is, it's a rocket propelled grenade that has a high blast radius and one hit kills most enemies. Chances are you won't get this after your two playthroughs so you will need to grind it, here's the chapter you want to use:

Chapter 32: There are a few RPGs in this chapter. The best place is when you reach an area with 4 or 5 RPGs resting against some concrete stones. There is a GAU guy on the ledge to the right, then some enemies and another GAU guy on the left. Simply kill them all and then jump off the edge of the cliff. The trophy will unlock after getting 30 kills with it.

  • Defeat 200 enemies with the GAU - 19.

This really isn't as bad as it sounds, it took me 20 minutes to get about 150 using the method I provide below. The GAU - 19 is first found in chapter 16. I'm sure you are familiar with the gun from the previous Uncharteds, but if not then gun is a massive Gatling gun that has one massive ammo clip. While using it you cannot run and you cannot jump either, it has long range and it kills most enemies in a few shots. It's a spray and pray gun so accuracy isn't great on it. As you will have no way near that amount after your two playthroughs you will want to grind it in the following chapter:

Chapter 29: You will eventually get access to a GAU - 19 when you meet the first GAU guy. Pick up his gun and kill all the enemies as you move your way down. A checkpoint will activate just before the bit with the enemies that come through a concrete doorway and the enemies just above. What you want to do is kill these and continue on, kill the RPG guy in the distance and then the GAU guy who is walking up the hill to you. Simply jump off the edge of the cliff when they are dead and you will get put back to the checkpoint. I farmed my gemstone bounties here too. Trophy will unlock after 200 kills with it.

  • Defeat 30 enemies with the Mk - NDI.

The MK - NDI is a grenade and is first found in chapter 8. The Vita doesn't have and buttons so you throw grenades differently on this game. You have to drag the grenade icon on the touch screen and then you will see the grenade arc. Once you line the shot up let go of the touchscreen and the grenade will then be thrown. You can also just tap the grenade icon to throw it, this will just make it go a small distance in the direction you were facing. You should get this during your two playthroughs as grenades are very useful to you. To speed the process up you will want to throw one into groups of regular enemies, not the big guys. As you'll be playing on Hard and Crushing, it won't be one hit kill so you need to use a few grenades to kill a group. After killing 30 the trophy will unlock.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with hand-to-hand combat.

This is when you are fighting enemies hand to hand, not stealth attacks which kill enemies in one hit. To initiate a hand-to-hand sequence just go up to an enemy and press or use the touchscreen. You will then start to fight and you have to swipe the screen to finish. Simply repeat this with 50 enemies. You shouldn't need to grind it and I got it about halfway through my second playthrough, even though I barely ever used it.

  • Defeat 50 enemies with stealth attacks.

A stealth attack is a special attack in which you kill the enemy in one punch/attack. You can only do these moves when not a single enemy has seen you. Most enemies are extremely stupid, they don't seem to mind that they can hear necks being snapped or see dead guys on the floor. The only time they will get alerted is if they see you, even then you have to be in clear view of them. A stealth attack is any attack that involves while the enemies aren't alert. It can be anything from snapping their neck or pushing them off a cliff. The trophy will unlock after you do this 50 times, which I got on my second playthrough as you really need to be sneaky in Crushing to avoid more enemies turning up.

  • Defeat 20 enemies with a single punch, after softening them up with gunfire.

Note: You having to be facing them when you initiate an attack, you cannot attack them from behind. You also cannot go into hand-to-hand combat, exit, then do it. You have to do is from fresh.

This is fairly easy but it won't be something you do accidentally. You have to shoot and enemy then kill them in a single punch. What you want to do is finish any pistol that isn't a Wes - 44 or a Desert - 5. Simply run up to an enemy and blind fire them (Shoot without aiming). Hopefully if you hit them then they will stumble and this is when you want to quickly go up to them and press . If done right you will punch them in the face and they will die in one hit. Just repeat 20 times and you'll get the trophy.

  • Defeat 10 enemies in a row with a single punch, after softening them up with gunfire.

Note: You cannot restart checkpoints or anything, this has to be in a single life. If you back out to the main menu or die etc then the counter will reset. Also, you having to be facing them when you do it, you cannot attack them from behind. You also cannot go into hand-to-hand combat, exit, then do it. You have to do is from fresh. The counter will also reset if you enter hand-to-hand combat or you do a neck snap.

This was the hardest trophy in the game for me, took me about an hour of trying before I finally managed to get it. You will want to replay chapter 9 in chapter select and play on either Easy or Very Easy. The first thing you want to do is go down the stairs and blind fire shoot one guys, concentrate on one at a time. After you have shot one you will see him stumble and you then have to go up to him and press and hopefully it will one hit kill them with a punch, sliding between there legs and knocking them over or drop kicking them. Once you have killed 3 enemies using this method kill the three guys in the next area, be careful of the big guy as he is prone to activating hand-to-hand combat if you get too close.

Once you have killed that lot Nate will say something about keep moving. A checkpoint will activate (If you muck it up here you will have to restart the entire level because the counter will reset and you won't be able to kill enough enemies). There is 5 or so enemies in here, including a big guy. Do the same as you did before and you will be fine. The trophy will unlock when there is one remaining guy left, because there is 11 of them in total. Here is a video guide by PowerPyx:

  • Finish the game in Easy Mode.

  • Finish the game in Crushing Mode.

Compared to the other Uncharted games, this is a cake walk. Before the patch though it was a nightmare because in certain sections of the game you hang from cliff edges, ropes etc, there was no cover and you would most certainly always die but Bend studios made it easier. The difficulty is on a par with Hard, I didn't get stuck at all (At one point I even had to check I was on Crushing because I hardly ever died). After you have completed hard difficulty you will want to go to 'Chapter Select' then start on the 'Prologue' and put the difficulty on 'Crushing'. You don't want to start a new game, just use chapter select.

Even though I found it easy, some of you may have difficulty. The hardest part I would say are the boss fights at the end of the game as you only have 1 life and if you fail any touchscreen QTEs, you will die have to start from the very beginning of the fight again, which can get rather tedious. Here is a thread which shows all of the swipe QTEs to make things easier for you:

    (Crushing) Boss Battle Swipe List

As for general tips you will want to do the following as best you can:

    • Cover - This is a life saver, you hide behind objects and therefore cannot get shot by enemies in front of you. This can get you out of a lot of situations so use it all the time. Cover by pressing next to an object.
    • Stealth Attacks - There is many points in the game when you have to the option to go sneaky and kill all the enemies without them noticing you. You will want to try your best to do this as if the enemies become alert more of them spawn and it can cause unnecessary hassle. Stealth attack by going behind somebody and pressing .
    • Picking the right gun - I always used the dragon sniper when it was available, if not I used the FAL and AK47 in the early stages and then later on moved onto the M4 and Desert - 5. Any gun is a good gun though so if your running low on ammo always, switch.
    • Infinite Ammo - This game has a feature where if you are on a rope or you are swinging in an area where you need to shoot enemies you will always be given a clip to reload with. Say I was on a rope, I would kill everybody but one would be be left with 1 bullet. I would simply shoot out that bullet and then I would be given a full clip. Very useful for guns such as the Desert - 5.

Most of them are in plain view and you will see them shining, the others you need to go down different paths. You can check you progress by pressing then looking on Nate's Journal. • Complete the bounty set.

See Bounty: Gemstones for an explanation on how Black Market "Near" boosting works.

A bounty is a treasure that is can only be found randomly by killing enemies. If you kill an enemy sometimes you will see a treasure like object fall off of them, then in the top right corner it will say 'Bounty Collected: x'. Bounties are divided into 3 categories; Common, Scarce and Rare. The rare ones are annoying to get as the chances of getting them are very slim. As you will be doing two playthroughs you should have between 1/4 - 1/2 of each set but it entirely depends on luck. Patch 1.03 increased the drop rates for bounties.

These particular bounties are the Arcana playing cards, they are found in chapters 2 and 3. The best spot for these ones to farm is on chapter 2. Eventually you will meet up with Chase for the first time and Dante will walk off and leave you to do some inspecting of treasures ad Artefact's. Eventually you will get ambushed by about 8 enemies. What you will want to do is kill them in the quickest way possible, once Nate says 'That's the last of them' or something similar either restart the checkpoint or back out to the main menu and press continue. I found the 2nd method worked best. You can see how many you have by selecting 'Black Market' on the main menu. The trophy will unlock after getting all the bounties in this set.

  • Complete the bounty set.

See Bounty: Gemstones for an explanation on how Black Market "Near" boosting works.

These particular bounties are pieces of silver, which are basically old silver coins. They are found between chapters 5 and 11. I farmed them in chapter 9 at the very start. What you want to do is go down the stairs and kill all of the guys until Nate says 'Come on, this way' or something similar to Chase. As soon as you hear that either restart the checkpoint or back out to the main menu and press continue. I found the 2nd method worked best. You can see how many you have by pressing 'Black Market' on the main menu. The trophy will unlock after getting all the bounties in this set.

  • Complete the bounty set.

See Bounty: Gemstones for an explanation on how Black Market "Near" boosting works.

These particular bounties are Spanish gold, which is basically gold coins. They are found between chapters 21 and 27. I farmed these bounties during chapter 21 with Sully's gun. You will eventually reach a part where you have to shoot enemies with Sully's gun in the boat. Simply kill them all until you reach the final guy on the left before the rope bridge just in front of you. Once you've done that either restart the checkpoint or back out to the main menu and press continue. I found the second method worked best. You can see how many you have by pressing 'Black Market' on the main menu. The trophy will unlock after getting all the bounties in this set.

  • Complete the bounty set.

See Bounty: Gemstones for an explanation on how Black Market "Near" boosting works.

These particular bounties are the Cádiz playing cards, similar to the Arcana cards. They are found between chapters 15 - 19. I farmed them on chapter 17. Just after you stealth kill the guys you will have to manoeuvre around a room and shoot the guys below to protect Chase. When you get over to the other side you have to protect Dante with the turret. Simply kill all the guys below and leave one so the checkpoint doesn't activate. You can either wait until Dante gets killed, kill yourself, restart checkpoint or quit to the main menu and press continue. You can see how many you have by selecting 'Black Market' on the main menu. The trophy will unlock after getting all the bounties in this set.

  • Complete the bounty set.

If you want to use "Near" to boost the bounties then you do it in the following way: Load up the Black Market and it asks if you want to launch "Near", press yes. Once "Near" loads you will want to press the circle in the top right to update Near. This will send everybody on your friends list with a Vita a copy of one of your bounties, it will expire after 3hrs and you can send one every 3hrs. For you to receive bounties you need to have someone do the above to you so you simply load up "Near" and then update it, go to game goods and there should be Uncharted ones in there. Hit the download button then go into Black Market and they will ave there. I personally didn't use "Near" to get bounties, I only got a few through it. You can find boosting partners here: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/uncharted-golden-abyss/146831-black-market-boosting-thread.html

I farmed these whilst farming GAU - 19 kills. During chapter 29 you will eventually get access to a GAU - 19 when you meet the first GAU guy. Pick up his gun and kill all the enemies as you move your way down. A checkpoint will activate just before the bit with the enemies that come through a stone doorway and there will enemies just above on the ledge. What you want to do is kill these and continue on, kill the RPG guy in the distance and then the GAU guy who is walking up the hill to you. Simply jump off the edge of the cliff when they are dead and you will get put back to the checkpoint. Repeat until you have all the bounties. You can also discuss bounty techniques in this thread and ask for help: https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/uncharted-golden-abyss/142292-bounties-opinions-advice.html

As you will be getting the treasures in your first playthrough you will unlock this during near the end of the after doing the final puzzle, that is if you have been solving them all. See PowerPyx's Video guide here for locations of them all.

  • Complete all rubbings.

Throughout the game you have the options to do rubbings, these are when you rub the touch screen to get the image to appear on the paper, a few are story related but most are not. As you will be getting the treasures in your first playthrough you will unlock this after doing the final rubbing in chapter 31, that is if you have been getting them all. See PowerPyx's Video guide here for locations of them all.

  • Complete all photographs.

Throughout the game you will have the option to take photographs. As part of the mysteries you have to take photographs of certain things to complete the mystery. If you are standing in a photo spot then the camera icon at the side will appear and you just need yo take the camera out and take a photo at the required zoom. As you will be getting the treasures in your first playthrough you will unlock this during chapter 31 after taking a photo of the gold throne, that is if you have been photographing them all. See PowerPyx's Video guide here for locations of them all.

  • Use the rear touch pad to climb a rope or chain.

This is very simple and you can get this when you first encounter a rope, which is in Chapter 1 with Dante. What you want to do is jump towards a rope and then don't press anything. While you are hanging on the rope use the rear touch pad to move up. You do this by swiping down on the right side, then the left side, then the right side, and so on. This will make Nate climb up the rope. The trophy will unlock as soon as you get Nate to move an inch up the rope using the rear touch pad.

  • Collect first treasure or mystery.

You will certainly get this trophy during chapter 1 as you have to pick up a Turquoise Glyph as part of the story. There are earlier treasures in the chapter than that one though and, as you should be going for the treasures in your first playthrough, you will have no trouble getting this. The trophy unlocks after you pick any treasure/clue up.

Secret trophies

  • Force José Parrot to squawk out 8 unique quips.

During chapter 20 the whole chapter is just a cutscene where you are speaking to Sully, don't skip the cutscene. You will notice a parrot as the camera pans out, you need to spam the the touchscreen on him to get him to say something, which is silly things like "Sully likes strange men". He will appear on the screen 8 different times so you cannot miss him at all, at one point only his tail will be visible and you can touch that for to get him to say something. Remember, don't just touch the screen once, you have to spam your finger as it doesn't count sometimes. The trophy will unlock during the cutscene after the 8th time of the parrot saying something.
