Skill Master
Get a skill to 100

And how do you get a skill up to level 100? Simple… over bloody usage! If you’re an archer, use your bow all the time, buy perks that improve and make you stronger in that discipline and just go crazy with it.

There are three ways though to improve a skill which you can take advantage of:

  • Use the skill repeatedly. The lower the skill is, the faster it levels up.
  • Train with another character – this is going to cost you gold though and the higher the level, the more it’ll cost you. NOTE: You can train 5 times per character level (across every discipline), so use them wisely.
  • Finally, find a skill book. Chances are though this will be down to chance, so concentrate on the other two and then take this as an added bonus along the way.

Here are some amazing tactics to raise skill levels (and thus, your character level) quickly:

  • Make use of the standing stones (see the "Standing Stones" trophy for locations. There are plenty that can speed the skill leveling so work out which ones you want to work on and make good use of them.
  • A good tip is making obscene amounts of gold and then getting training from people all round Skyrim. You’ll generally find deceptive tactic trainers in the Thieves Guild, merchantable trainers in the towns and cities, magic trainers in the Winterhold college, combat trainers in the Companions’ chamber in Whiterun and so on. Remember though, you can only train 5 times per character level (across all disciplines) so try picking the one with the highest level in your list, paying more gold and getting more of a boost.
  • A personal favourite of mine: if you do the quest "Discerning the Transmundane" (see the "Oblivion Walker" trophy for details on how and where you have to go) you'll get an artefact that significantly raises a selection of skills and attributes. Do this and heed the warning... use it when you have a lot of high levels to raise for added effect.
  • Smithing is an easy skill to raise and thanks to Vile Denial, there is a sound tactic already. He says: "If you want to reach level 100 in a skill easily (and get a few levels while doing so), I'd recommend smithing. Simply find/buy (I'd recommend buying) all the iron ingots/ore you can, along with leather and leather strips. Warmaiden's is a good place, since the wife outside and husband inside both sell these. Then simply make iron daggers. Once you run out of iron, switch over to leather bracers. Then sell all the items you've made (can even level up speechcraft here during selling). Simply wait until the shops reset (24 hours?), and repeat. You'll get to 100 in no time."
  • Another great tip from Vile Denial here, this time in regards to skill improvement books, which you can buy. He says, "Also, a small note for the skill books trophy. All skills books will have a value above 50 gold (although not all books with a value above 50 will be skill books - I believe there's one worth 200 which doesn't raise a skill)."
  • A great tip from rza_2002 on X360A here: "The Illusion spell, Muffle, you can cast this anywhere and everywhere, I just put it on my left hand [weapon on right] and as i explored everywhere I kept pressing ." You can buy the muffle spell from Drevis Neloren inside the Hall of Countenance at the College of Winterhold, from Farengar Secret-Fire at Dragonsreach in Whiterun or Calcelmo at Understone Keep in Markarth.
  • Another one from rza, this time in regards to sneaking: "If you're close enough to an enemy and he can't see you, you can sneak constantly into the wall/corner... I just rubberbanded the analog stick and left it while I watched TV."
  • Again, rza suggest for the heavy armour, light armour and block skills: They "all can all be levelled by finding an enemy that's not gonna kill you and just standing there." It does take a while though and if I can add, if you equip a healing spell when they're attacking you, you can build your restoration as well.
  • In regards to alchemy, rza again suggests: "All ingredients have 4 [perks or w/e] you can either experiment to find out or buy the recipes [from alchemy stores]. Turns out the the top left of EVERYTHING is found out by eating it. If you've got loads of cash, just head to all the alchemy shops, buy all the ingredients you can and just sit and make potions, then sell them all again afterwards and start again."
  • I've put together a list of all of the skill trainers in Skyrim organized by town instead of by skill. You can view it here.

I found a trick to leveling resoration to 100 pretty quick. You need the alteration spell equilibrium and your your basic healing spell. You have to cast them both simultaneously. Your magika will never run out and your health wont drop. I did this over night( about 4 hours) and leveled it from around 30 to 99 and also leveled myself from 30 to 34. I just used some tape and taped r1 and l1 down. Im sure the same strategy could be used on xbox and/or pc.

Hope this helps!

A very simple thing you can do is getting your sneak up to 100. Just go to Whiterun and enter the companions house, go into their living quarters, and wait untill they go to sleep. Next, go over to a empty bed and face the person who is asleep. Now simply go into sneak mode and tape your analog stick back so you are constantly moving. With this trick you can leave your game on overnight and it should be in the 80's or 90's depending on your current level

sneak level i meant to say above. You can also do the same trick above but train your illsuion. Simply cast the spell muffle (can be bought in dragonscreach) and cast it whenever you can.

Another easy one is blacksmith. You need around 10k gold. You buy Iron Ingot and ore from the sellers in Whiterun. Use ore in the smelter next to the blacksmith. Then use the forge to do iron Dagger. Make them, sell them, wait 48 hours and do it again. Sometimes, buy also leather for leather strips. After 1h30. you are lvl 100!

Happy smithing.

Conjuration is easy too.

-Find a Slaughterfish.(I got mine in the river south of Solitude)
-Get him to follow you to the coast, so he can't attack you.
-Summon your sword in conjuration spells and sheath it just before it summons.(you'll know it worked if you lost magika)

For Illusion you only have to cast Muffle on yourself, you don't have to be in combat, so I dual cast it whenever I have to walk somewhere.

for the sneak skill there is a spot at the very start that is great. in the cave you go through right before you get outside there is a sleeping bear. crouch to go into sneak mode and walk into the wall across from the bear. use a rubber band or something to keep walking into that wall and wait overnight. you will get a massive skill level boost, and the regular level boost will be a nice thing to start the game off with as well.

Easy stuff. Just keep casting the Illusion spell Muffle. My Illusion was at about 22 and I got it to 100 within 30 minutes.

Using a shield and picking a fight with a giant gets block up pretty quickly

Easy way to get sneak up is to get an Iron dagger and go to High Hrothgar and crouch behind a Greybeard meditating in the middle of High Hrothgar (make sure your cross-hair says hidden) then just hit the Greybeard with the Iron dagger and he'll ignore you unless your seen by him or another Greybeard (I did this on master difficulty so you can get more hits on him) this will take about 15-45 mins.

They fixed the Smithing glitch, so it no longer works. but if you go to Riften, and head into the Black-Briar Meadrey. talk to the guy behind the counter Named Ugrien (maybe misspelled). there will be a few options, but find the one saying "tell me about..." if your already level 25 speech you can keep persuading him until your level 100. if not youll have to bribe him a few times before you can persuade.

If your like me and dont really care for speech, then this gives you quite a few levels and perks if you need them

A real fast way to get level 50 & skill master trophy. During Discerning the transmundane. When you find the Ogmha Infinium, press X to open it, Choose do not read. Next fast travel to whiterun, if you don't have a house yet buy one. Go to your house, activate the bookshelf, while choosing a book to place in the bookshelf now's a good time to read it. Press sqaure to read it. Choose a path, place it in the bookshelf. Look at the book and press X choose do not read. Activate the bookshelf and repeat the process. This will take between a minute and a half hour depending on your current level at the time of the quest.

It's easy with smithing, because if you craft something, you can sell it and buy more things, you can craft from.

Archery, complete the Riverwood Love Triangle miscellaneous quest in Faendal's favor, make him your follower, ask him to train you in Archery, then ask him to trade stuff with you. Then take your gold back. This can also be done if you finish the Companions quest line, and then make Aela the Huntress, Farkas, or Vilkas your follower. (It's better with those three, because they're Masters. Faendal is just a Novice.)
