The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Trophies
Married
Get married

Well, despite only being a bronze, it’s a bit of a rigmarole to get this trophy. Firstly, you have to head to Riften and speak to Maramal, who’ll be found inside the Temple of Mara, by the Thieves Guild’s back door. Ask him about the Temple (“I would like to know more about the temple”) then question marriage in Skyrim (“I could have a wedding at the temple?”) to which you follow up with “No, Not really.” Eventually he’ll offer to sell you the Amulet of Mara which you buy, equip and then get pulling.

You basically have to find someone who’s “interested” and then head to the temple to initiate the wedding. It’s easier than it sounds. This isn’t everyone either, so here’s a list (non-exhaustive) of people you can marry… if you can marry them, they’ll notice the amulet and say “Interested in me, are you?”.

they become your companions on adventures so i hear - should make same sex marriages in the game more appealing marrying a gigantic orc with an axe to go raid a hardcore dungeon

Who knows what kind of freaky shit you may find. There was the one chick in Oblivion asking about necrophilia laws in the city and stuff... Anypickle, whats with RPG's having characters always hook up now? This will be like the 4th one I have played in a row that you can shmooze the singles scene before shacking up with another player? Not complaining, it just seems like it will become more and more common amongst the genre.

You don't have to buy the amulet. I ended up getting the amulet for free from the priestess. Do a few of the love quests and you'll get it.

If you do marry, be careful, you cannot get remarried if your wife dies i believe. so save a life, leave your wife at home

i killed my wife to charge the ebony blade (heartless i know) and i cannot remarry. i would not have done had i known you can't remarry, i thought you could so a) its a bug or b) you can't do it. while looking for a spouse several men hit on me so yes there is same sex marriage. i wish you could have children like in fable but that is probably a pipe dream. and who wouldn't want a harem, lol, but think about you'd never have to explore another dungeon with a team of wives sharing the profits from the family business. :) but in all seriousness we should be able to remarry if they die or get murdered. oh yeah find amulets of mara randomly or but it from a priest at mara's temple or do the quest you can get there too

How do you get married?

You can get married by going to the temple of Mara in Riften and asking who Mara is, or go to the Mara priest that hangs out in the pub(cant remember the name) in riften and talk to him a bunch. Eventually he will give you an AMULET of MARA, wear this and you become available to marry. BUT you have to do a deed for the person you want to marry to get them to like you. (NOTE)Not all NPCs can be married.

If u dont see Maramal in the temple then he's in Bee and Barb. Also my first ceremony was somehow gitched and didnt start so I waited until next day and it says fail to attend ceremony. Then Just go back to your spouse and temple to rearrange the ceremony. Just a little tip..
