Introduction:

Super Street Fighter IV is the upgraded version of the previous Street Fighter IV. The game offers new modes, balance changes and much more than any fighting game fanatic can ask for. Achieving the in this game is a HUGE accomplishment and you may find yourself playing this game for a LONG TIME trying to complete everything. Even Veteran players will still have to take the time to do various things.

Arcade Mode:

During your Arcade mode step you will be defeating arcade mode with all 35 characters, if you are having trouble playing as some of the characters refer to "All Clear" for additional help. When playing arcade mode you ideally want the following settings (unless the specific trophy method says otherwise):

  • Rounds to win: 1
  • Time: 99 Seconds

All of these trophies require you AT LEAST to be on Medium Difficulty. Try to knock out "Long Time No See" and "Speed Freak" right away to avoid having to play arcade mode too many more times then you already need to. You can earn the following trophies from this step:

Clear Headed
All Clear
Herculean Effort
Hard Times
Long Time No See
Rival Schooled
Speed Freak

Also if you wish to you can knock out one of the "online" related trophies right now as well. When doing "All Clear" or "Rival Schooled" for instance you can turn "Fight Request" on and you can face opponents online. You can have a friend search for you while you are doing this and you can have the settings set to:

  • Rounds (Best of): 1
  • Timer: 30

If you don't have a boosting partner however you aren't going to find opponents with this setting since a lot of the players online are regular SSF IV players, if you want to have a better chance at finding an opponent an ideal setting to have would be:

  • Rounds (Best of): 3
  • Timer: 99

The trophy you can unlocking doing this is Quarter Up. Once it is unlocked you can turn the Fight Request off so no one interrupts your progression with the Arcade Mode trophies.

Trial Mode:

This will probably be the longest step in the game for you, the Trials of Super Street Fighter IV involve A LOT of timing and throws combos with a small amount of frames. Frames can be described as the small amount of time in-between hits that you have to continue your combo and by time i mean MILLISECONDS not regular seconds. On screen it might not look hard however it really is when you are put behind the controller. Here are some links that may aid you in doing these trials:

VesperArcade - Super Street Fighter IV Trials: A Youtube user by the name of VesperArcade who does videos for all sorts of things fighting game related, in his channel not only does he display how he did each trial with a display of his fightstick, few of them he also displayed doing it with a normal controller.

The "How to do this trial" Topic: It may involve a little manual searching or use of the "Search This Thread" bar to find out other peoples inputs to questions on how they did a certain trial and see if the same method works for you.

Here are the following trophies involved with these trials:

Good Start
Trail of Trials
Trial Athlete

During this step you can also unlock 2 mini trials known as bonus stages that you unlock from arcade mode that both have a trophy correlating with it. Here are the following trophies that correlate with the bonus stages:

Oh! My Car!
Barrel of Laughs

Playstation Network:

PSN has a variety of trophies that may look hard but because everything is easily boostable then it has become just a timing consuming step. You have to win 10 matches in a row on both ranked and player matches, you need to win 100 matches in total and play 300 matches overall and much more. Use text chat with your boosting partner to communicate when you are boosting rank match related trophies and help you match up with each easier otherwise you can easily do everything else in player matches. Here is a list of the following trophies that can be unlocked during this step as well as sub sections for where you can unlock them:

Ranked Match Related:

First Timer
Threepeat
Fivepeat
Moving On Up
Now You C Me...
Tenpeat
From C to Shining C

Player Match Related:

Road to Victory
Battle Master
Worldly Warrior
Keep on Truckin'
Three For The Road
Legendary Fighter
Bring it on!
Endless Ten

Player Match Related (Team Battles):

Team Player
Team Mate
Teamworker

Misc. Related:

Replayer
Endless Lobbyist
Team Lobbyist

Refer to the respective trophies for more information. If you need a boosting partner please refer to this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread

Misc. Trophies (Mop Up):

During this step you will be unlocking in-battle trophies as well as the remaining Icon and Titles you need. You shouldn't need most of these however if you do need a good amount of them then a good mode to get rid of them in is Versus mode if you have a second controller otherwise find someone in the Trophy Boosting Thread to assist you. Here's a list of the trophies that could be part of your mop up step:

Fashion Plate
Dan the Man
Entitled
Iconoclast
Special Movement
EXtra! EXtra!
Super, Man!
Ultra, Man!
It Takes Focus
Superior Super
Ultimate Ultra
Sunspotter
Absolute Perfection

Arcade Edition DLC:

Overview:

  • Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 5+/10 (Skill Dependant)
  • Breakdown:: 6/2
    • Offline Trophies: 5 / 2
    • Online Trophies: 1
  • Price: 14.99

Effective June 7th 2011 when you insert a copy of Super Street Fighter IV into the disc drive you will be prompted to install its latest title update which is needed if you wish to purchase the Arcade Edition Patch. They're will also be a free update kit for online matchmaking and spectating purposes but it will not give you anything that you can earn a new trophy off of.

Upon downloading the Arcade Edition update you will notice small difference within the main menu.

As you can see there is now a small logo indicating which version of the game you are currently running. With this change you can now unlock the trophies from the downloadable content and play the game under Arcade Edition settings. If by the off chance you do want to switch back you head to your Options menu and select change version.

After the version change you will notice a change in the logo, instead of a Gold SSFIV AE logo you will have a Silver SSFIV logo.

(Original Picture credit goes to Neo Deus from Capcom Unity)

As far as anything trophy related, the Arcade Edition DLC does not effect any of it except for "From C to Shining C" if you had an progress for this trophy already and do not wish to lose that you can always revert back to the pre-DLC settings to continue that otherwise you must start from scratch. You would expect the trials to change at the very least however they wasn't any new challenges added with this DLC so if you were to enter Trial mode it wouldn't automatically toggle the game into the SSFIV mode.

Arcade Mode (Arcade Edition):

During this step of the Arcade Edition DLC you must clear Arcade mode on medium or higher with each of the DLC characters and finish it without using a continue as well as meet the requirements to face Evil Ryu and Oni. Unless you are confident in your SSFIV AE skills i would hold off on facing Evil Ryu and Oni until after completing Arcade Mode with each of the DLC characters and instead try to face them using other characters you are comfortable with. During this step for any trophy you are going after you want to have the following settings:

  • Rounds (Best of) : 1
  • Timer: 99

With the rounds set to best of 1 it makes it easier clearing all the rounds for the individual trophies for completing it with each character and also reduces the requirements to face Evil Ryu and Oni. During this step i highly advise having a second controller in hand and ready to use in case you are about to lost then you can press on that second controller to save yourself. Because you can't use continues you can't use Zangief or switch to a character you are comfortable with when going for the individual trophies so look under each individual trophy for tips on using that characters as well as tips for defeating Evil Ryu and Oni under their respective trophies. You can earn the following trophies in his step:

The Awakening
Birth of the Oni
Just Enough!
Up to Snuff
Overwhelming Power
Transcendent

Online Mode (Arcade Edition):

This step is relatively simple and takes no effort at all opposed to the previous step. Upon entering the main menu you can easily earn your first trophy by press and from there selecting a new title and icon from the SSFIV AE selection and then playing in a match online.

The next trophy you only have to go to the leaderboards and look for someone with a high BP (at least 3000 BP is good enough) and select there name, from there press to follow them and earn your trophy. During this step you can earn the following trophies:

Prep Time
New Threads

Conclusion:

Super Street Fighter IV is by far the best fighting game to date, no other game as gotten so much attention in tournaments than this game. The trophies given with it are brutal but if you can step up and get the then it is a game you can brag about. It'll take time but when you are done you should also be a polished player of the game.

Introduction:
Welcome to Ultra Street Fighter IV, the 4th expansion of Street Fighter IV to date! This expansion features 5 new playable characters, 6 new stages, various character tweaks, new online modes, new costumes, new gameplay mechanics, and a lot more. This DLC is huge in terms of what it brings to the game, and you may want to take the time to look at some of the new material brought to the game because they can be very useful in forming a battle strategy. If you are wondering if this DLC will reset your progress on the main game trophy From C to Shining C, you can be assured that it does not. A new set of Battle Points have been added to Ultra, but the Battle Points from Super Street Fighter IV & Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition still remain. Remember that if you are unsure of what version you are playing, look at the icon on the right side of the main menu and it tells you what version of Street Fighter IV you are currently on. As for the trophies in this expansion, they are very easy to complete and involve only the Arcade mode and Online Ranked matches. Feel free to do them in whatever order you see fit.

New Mechanics:
So if you are new to the Ultra expansion of Street Fighter IV, there are some mechanics not found in the original game that can largely affect the way you form your strategies and play the game.

Ultra Combo Double - This is a new ultra combo selection for every character. Before, you had the option of choosing between 1 of 2 ultra combos for a character to use. Now, you have a 3rd option that allows you to use both of them in a single fight! The Ultra Combo Double allows you access to both ultra combos during a fight at the cost of reduced damage. This gives more versatility and grants you more options during the fight. With the reduced damage, I find the ultra combo to be about equal to the super combo. That is still good considering how each uses a different gauge, so if your super combo hasn't built up yet, your ultra combo might be available as a substitute, or vise versa.

Red Focus Attack - In the original Street Fighter IV, you were introduced to the Focus Attack which is done by holding the MP and MK buttons (). This move could absorb a little damage and crumple your opponent if landed, making them open to other moves. Ultra Street Fighter IV has added the Red Focus Attack which is similar to the Focus Attack except it is capable of withstanding more hits without being interrupted. This does not mean it cannot be interrupted though as Guard Breaks and Throws still work as an effective countermeasure. To perform a red focus attack, you must hold the LP + MP + MK buttons (). If your character glows red during the move, you know you have done it correctly.

Delayed Standing - With the Ultra expansion of Street Fighter IV, players can now control the timing of their character's recovery after a hard knockdown move. By pressing any 2 buttons when knocked down, you can delay your time getting up which can mess up your opponent's offensive and allow you some breathing room.

Step 1: Arcade Mode & Versus
The steps for this expansion are interchangeable, and can be done in any order you choose. I say to start with Arcade because it allows you some practice time with the new characters against the CPU before you go on to face online opponents, so for this DLC, you'll have to go through the Arcade mode 5 times, once with each of the new characters. I will go through some tactics and moves in their respective trophies, but it will be useful to have a 2nd controller available if you are not too skilled at the game. This is because the trophies require that you use no continues, and you can hit start on the second controller if you find yourself on the losing end of a fight. For the fastest way to complete Arcade mode, have your settings to:

Rounds: 1
Timer: 99
Difficulty: Medium

These are the minimum requirements if you want the trophy to unlock. This should not prove to be too difficult, but you may struggle a bit if you are a novice to Ultra Street Fighter IV. After you clear the Arcade trophies, go into Versus mode. You'll need to defeat a CPU on the hardest difficulty for the Good old times trophy. Just go into Versus, select a character that was available in the original version of Street Fighter IV, and beat them. Make sure you are set to the Ultra Street Fighter IV version of the character, and your opponent is set to the original Street Fighter IV version. Set your handicap to 100%, and your opponent to 0%. Now hit your opponent once, and you win. This step should earn you the following trophies:

For the Utopia!
The world is my stage
Toxic Beauty
Giant Attack
A dish best served Cold
Good old times

Step 2: Online
If you did the Arcade Mode first as I recommended, you may be a little more familiar with the 5 new characters so that you can face some online opponents without getting obliterated. First, go into Network Battle and select Ranked Matches. Only Ranked Matches count for these trophies, not Player Matches. Try to go for a win with one of the new characters while using both of your ultra combo specials. This will knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. After you accomplish that, go into Team Battle and try to get a win with a team of 4 players. This may prove difficult since this mode is practically dead, so you can try and form a group in the Trophy Boosting Thread (Make sure to follow the Boosting Thread rules). After this step, you should have earned:

Double Feature
Ultra Effective
All For One

Conclusion:
Ultra Street Fighter IV is huge expansion that has so much to offer, and practically turns Street Fighter IV into a whole new game. With all the new mechanics and features, you'll have tons of fun experimenting with characters, forming different battle strategies, playing various modes, and more. Ultra Street Fighter IV is a must have for any real fighting game fan. It has so much to offer and so much to do, you'll find yourself coming back and playing it again and again. If you manage to 100% this brute of a game, DLC and all, you should be very proud of yourself as it is no easy task.

67 trophies ( 14  50  )

  • Attain all Trophies! The path of the warrior demands this from those who walk on it!

You have conquered SSFIV and the horrors of a true fighting game ... but can you compare yourself to Daigo Umehara yet?

  • Even a top rate figher needs to coordinate properly! You gotta get all of the Colors first!

For this trophy you must obtain all of colors for each character. Colors are given to you for the amount of times you start a match as that character, once you start you can back out of a match and it still counts as a match played with that character. You need a minimum of 17 plays with each character, you can check the amount played through "Player Data" in the main menu and go to "Character Records", select any character you want to view the amount of times you played as them to see how much more you have to do. This will probably be earned naturally while trying to earn "From C to Shining C" however if you are impatient you can follow this method:

(Video credit goes to paulietheboss from youtube

  • Mastery of the Saikyo arts requires mastery of the Personal Action! Collect 'em all, punk!

This trophy will unlock alongside “Fashion Plate“.

  • A Title does not tell all of a man, sir, but if I were see one Titles, I'd want them all...

For more information on how to unlock all the titles please refer to “Iconoclast“.

  • Oh my gosh, those Icons are so adorable! Don-chan and I gotta catch 'em all!

To unlock titles and icons you must meet certain requirements within the offline and online modes of the game. Follow this detailed guide on how to unlock all the titles and icons:

    Eventhubs: Requirements for titles/icons

  • Do a Special Move 100 times! If you're a true student of the Rindo-kan dojo, it's your duty!

Special moves are moves like Hadoken or Shoryuken, these moves require an EX meter or Ultra meter. This trophy will probably unlock easily over time. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

    Example of a Special Move input: Hadoken (+ , , )

  • Battle requires courage! Train by using your EX Gauge to successfully land 100 EX Moves!

EX moves are stronger versions of Special Moves as described under “Special Movement” however they take up an EX meter whenever you use them, they are much stronger and faster and are great for combos. To use an EX move you must hit all the P or K buttons depending on the EX Special you are using. To build up EX meter you must perform special moves, deal damage to your opponent, block or take damage from your opponent, it fills up pretty fast in a real battle. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

Example of a EX move: EX Hadoken (+ , which is a shorter for all the punches)

  • To battle is to win a fight with overwhelming strength! Show me you can do 100 Super Combos!

A Super combo is a move that takes up all 4 EX meters, each character has only 1 Super that you can check in each characters command list, the Super is a stronger version of one of their special moves and only requires an additional directional movement to perform. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

    Example of a Super Combo: Shinku Hadoken (+ , , )

  • If yer gonna fight, give it your all, pal. Performing 100 Ultra Combos oughta do it, eh?

An Ultra combo is your characters stronger attack. At character select you are given an option between ultra I and ultra II, depending on your choice the ultra can have a different input and be performed in a different way. You can check the input for the Ultra you picked in the command list in the pause menu. Most Ultra inputs require 2 direction movements and the input of all the P or K buttons. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

Example of a Ultra Combo: Metsu Hadoken ( + , which is a shorter for all the punches)

  • Your mission, should you wish to join Delta Red, is to connect with 100 Focus Attacks!

To perform a focus attack you must press and hold and , how long you hold it will determine the level of the focus attack you are about to do. A successful focus attack has a different effect which varies from the level of the focus attack. This may happen in normal gameplay, it will only register focus attacks that make contact with the opponent. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

    1. Level 1 -Only inflicts normal damage, stuns opponents if it was a counter
    2. Level 2- Stuns opponent if the hit was successful and allows for an easier follow-up
    3. Level 3 – Unblockable, Armor Breaking, Level 2 Properties
  • Trust your instincts and winning will come easy. Let's begin with 50 Super Combo finishes!

You must deplete your opponents health bar with the final move being a Super combo finish. This trophy is a bit harder because you need it to be a close match if you want to fill your Super meter up in one round. Refer to “Super, Man!” for more information on how to perform a Super Combo finish. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

  • Candy always says you gotta win with style, so go out there and perform 50 Ultra Combo finishes!

You must deplete your opponents health bar with the final move being an Ultra Combo finish, this trophy is a bit easier compared to “Superior Super” however Ultras have two levels of power. If you perform one with only one filled bar then the Ultra doesn’t do as much damage and it's possible it won't be enough to count for the trophy so watch out for that. Refer to “Ultra, Man!” for more information on how to perform an Ultra Combo Finish. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

  • Amigo, perform 365 Super or Ultra Combo finishes against your opponents! The dawn is coming!

Refer to “Superior Super” and “Ultimate Ultra“, this trophy may take a while … Take advantage of all the Arcade modes you have to play and all the boosting and online play you will have to do as well to ensure you do not have to player extra local 1p vs 2p matches or online boosting for Super/Ultra Finishes. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

  • Lauren's waiting, so how about you finish your fights quickly and get 30 Perfects. Sound good?

To obtain a perfect victory you cannot take damage from your opponent, not even small chip damage. Your health bar starts at a full yellow bar and if you win with that full yellow bar it will be a perfect. You can boost this yourself in 1p vs 2p local matches or you can work on it while boosting for “From C to Shining C“. This trophy is accumulative from the times you use it in Arcade, Versus and Online Mode.

  • Hey! Got time to kill? Try to clear Arcade Mode on Medium or higher! That's all you gotta do!

Please refer to “All Clear” for more information.

  • To get strong takes lots of fighting! Clear Arcade mode on Medium or higher with all characters!

For this you must clear Arcade Mode with every character on Medium or higher. Now it's understandable if it's hard for you use certain characters so an easy way to avoid playing the whole Arcade mode with them is like this:

    1. Start Arcade Mode with the character you wish to earn credit for
    2. When you lose, press to continue and select Zangief
    3. With Zangief spam his Spinning Lariat with and maybe a couple of focus attacks into a grab ( + > + )
    4. Fight until you Fight his Rival Abel, lose on purpose
    5. At the character select, select the original character you started with, you will then just need to defeat your rival and Seth.

IMPORTANT: Also I would like to advise everyone to play on Hardest when trying to get this trophy, there's a title for completing everyone's arcade mode on Hardest which correlates to the "Entitled" trophy, so save yourself the time and just play on Hardest.

  • Can you finish Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using a continue? Show me you can!

This trophy will unlock as you attempt the “Long Time No See” trophy, please refer to it for more details.

  • To escape death is to beat the strongest of the strong. Finish Arcade Mode on Hardest, kid!

This trophy will unlock as you attempt the “Long Time No See” trophy, please refer to it for more details.

  • Do you wish for defeat? If so, complete Arcade Mode on Hardest difficulty and beat Gouken!

To reach Gouken you must have reached the end of any characters Arcade Mode. Set your rounds to win to 1, make sure the difficulty is set to Hardest and meet the following requirements:

    • 1 Perfect Victory
    • 3 Ultra/Super Combo Finishes
    • 5 First Round Attacks
    • NO CONTINUES

On the hardest difficulty all of these can be very difficult standards especially for an inexperienced player. For the no continues requirement you can have a second controller on standby and ready for when you are about to lose a round, you can press and it will not affect you negatively at all. Two good recommended tactics for this are:

You can use Ryu and rely on Focus Attacks and his Hadoken’s, Ryu is one of the best overall characters, his Hadoken and Shoryuken can get you can easy first attack most of the time. His Super and Ultra moves are projectile moves and will deal a good amount of chip damaging almost guaranteeing your Ultra/Super Finishes. You can use this video as a reference or example on what you might want to do:

(Video credit goes to bluntslide42 from youtube)

Another good method is to use Zangief and his Spinning Lariat with and pray you can at least pull your Perfect early, then you just have to get the Ultra/Super finishes and the First Attacks.

    Zangiefs Super : Final Atomic Buster (720 rotation clockwise starting from ) + ( , , )

    Zangiefs recommend Ultra : I Ultimate Atomic Buster (720 rotation clockwise starting from ) + ( + + , )

  • See your future by clearing every Rival Battle on Medium or higher with every character.

In every characters arcade mode they have what is called a “Rival Battle” which is like a story related battle for that character. You will probably earn this going for “All Clear” however you must go back to fight secret Rival battles for the following characters:

    • Ryu
    • Chun Li
    • C.Viper
    • Guile
    • Cammy
    • Seth

To fight these secret “Rival Battles” you must first have completed arcade mode at least once with those characters. On your second playthrough in arcade mode with them you have to hold all 3 K buttons LK+MK+HK ( + + when the game shows ” Now ! Fight Your Rival” and hold it the entire time it says those words … if done correctly it should give you a new opponent for the Rival battle.

IMPORTANT: It seems this trophy can be glitched for some players, if that is the case for you the most well known and effective solution is to play through arcade mode again as E.Honda, various players unlocked there glitched trophy this way.

  • Finish each round in Arcade Mode on Medium or higher in 20 seconds or less. Too easy.

For this trophy make sure you have the following settings before starting Arcade mode:

    • Difficulty : Medium
    • Rounds (Best of) : 1
    • Time Limit : 99
    • Bonus Stages: Off
    • Fight Request: Off

You want that Time Limit at 99 so that if you do end up missing the 20 seconds you can let your opponent defeat you and you can press to continue and it will not negatively affect you. If you have trouble against a character in arcade mode, you can let them defeat you and switch characters and you will continue at the same stage and with a brand new opponent, if you switch back to your previous character you will get a brand new opponent.

A good recommended character would be Zangief, just follow the method under All Clear.

  • All of nature must withstand a trial. You must clear 10 trials in Trial Mode to succeed.

Completing 10 Trials in trial mode is a simply task, a lot of the beginning Trial Mode missions are simply 2 to 3 button combination that do not take much effort at all.

  • There is no shortcut in the art of Yoga. Aim to clear any character's Trial Mode trials!

Refer to “Trial Athlete” for more information.

  • I shall assimilate all and be all-powerful! Clear all Trial Mode challenges, and so can you!

This is by far the most frustrating trophy of the game. You must complete all 24 challenges within each of the 35 characters trials. Even veteran players have trouble doing some of the trials so don’t expect this to come easy.

    Tips:

    • Whenever you’re feeling tired from doing the other trophies, try to do some challenges for each character until you feel as if you can no longer do them anymore and come back to it later after you have played the game some more. You will come back to see some of the trials aren’t as hard as they used to be … but still very difficult nonetheless in the later trials
    • Some people suggest pausing in between frames to help you, do not listen to them, these Trials are better done in real time
    • Some trials can only be done in the corner, so if a trial doesn’t work try pushing Dan into the corner and see if you obtain better results
    • Use youtube as a good source for viewing other people complete these trials to visually see what you must do for some of the harder levels of each characters trials

For Additional help please refer to the following links:

VesperArcade - Super Street Fighter IV Trials: A Youtube user by the name of VesperArcade who does videos for all sorts of things fighting game related, in his channel not only does he display how he did each trial with a display of his fightstick, few of them he also displayed doing it with a normal controller.

The "How to do this trial" Topic: It may involve alittle manual searching or use of the "Search This Thread" bar to find out other peoples inputs to questions on how they did a certain trial and see if the same method works for you.

  • Hee hee, destruction is so much fun! Score 80,000 points or more in the Car Crusher bonus stage!

To unlock the Car Crusher bonus stage you must defeat Arcade mode (on any difficulty). For the Car Crusher bonus stage you must destroy a car within 1 minute by attacking the sides of the car. You must attack it repeatedly from the left side until it does no more damage to the car and then you must jump to the other side and do the same there and then back to the left to finish the job. Most beginners have trouble with this trophy but here’s an easy method to completing it:

Pick Blanka and repeatedly use his Hard Electric Thunder Move ( repeatedly) this will cause Blanka to sit down and shoot out rapid streams of lighting from his body, doing it with is the stronger and fastest variation of the move and can easily destroy the car within 20 seconds of the bonus stage.

(Video credit goes to luneydesmond from youtube)

  • No need for barrels without oil! Score 110,000 points or more in the Barrel Buster bonus stage!

Like the “Oh! My Car” trophy, this is unlocked after clearing Arcade mode. The mini game has barrels dropping from the platform above you and you must destroy them as they come down. Again use Blanka, set him directly under the platform the barrels fall from and spam Electric Thunder by pressing repeatedly, the lightening should destroy every barrel that comes down even those that are falling at an angle. Refer to the video under “Oh! My Car” for visual aide.

  • The fight starts here! Set your Title and Icon, and begin fighting online!

In the main menu or the Playstation Network menu hit and you can hit to set your icon or to set your title from that, the trophy will unlock.

  • This is your real power, child? Show me it's not luck by winning 5 Ranked Matches in a row!

Please refer to “Tenpeat” for more information.

  • Don't hold back your true potential! Win 10 Ranked Matches in a row!

Ranked matches are boostable and you can set the matches to any setting you want. If you are boosting this with a partner set the match settings to the following:

    • Rounds (Best of):1
    • Time Limit : 30 seconds
    • Region: Any
    • Opponent Skill: Any

Most regular players would never dare join a game with only one round and such a small amount of time in that round so it will be easy for your partner to search for this setting and easily join you for your 10 straight wins.

If you need a boosting partner you can find one in this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread.

  • Ya need to do anything to reach the top of the food chain! Let's see a Rank Up via Ranked match!

Please refer to “From C to Shining C” for more information.

  • I wrestle only the strong! You shall rank up to C if you wanna face me, comrade!

Please refer to “From C to Shining C” for more information.

  • You think you're good don't you? Prove it by ranking up all characters to C Rank!

To reach a C rank with any character you must first reach 1000 BP (Battle Points) with that character, BP can only be earned through Ranked matches so you will have to follow the set up under “Tenpeat” . Your BP will not decrease until you reach the C rank so if you so happen to not have a boosting partner you can play and lose to your heart content. On average it will take about 20 wins per character to reach the C rank.

Please refer to “Legendary Fighter” for more information.

  • I shall make you the right hand of Shadaloo if you can win 100 matches online!

For this trophy you must win 100 PSN matches, they can be either Ranked or Player matches. You can easily boost this in Player matches however it is highly likely you will get this as you are trying to earn ”From C to Shinning C“.

If you need a boosting partner you can find one in this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread

  • No comrade, this will not do! We must become stronger, for our fans! Fight 100 matches online!

Please refer to “This is Madness!!” for more information.

  • Fighting is fun, huh? Well then, let's aim for 300 matches online fought, OK buddy?

You must play 300 complete matches online, this will happen over time. There are 35 characters and you have to win at least 20 times on average with each of them for “From C to Shinning C” not to mention the other online trophies.

  • A 1-on-1 fight is fun, but it's more fun with friends! Try fighting in a Team Battle!

A Team Battle is a match where you and another team of players take turns fighting against other members of the opposing team, whomever's team is the last one standing wins. Win or Lose you will unlock this after your first Team Battle.

  • Win 1 Team Battle match, and you will learn that teamwork can help you become stronger!

Please refer to “Teamworker” for more information.

  • A pro can win with any team. Win 10 Team Battles but don't forget, you have to win too!

You can create a 2v2 Team Battle lobby with full private slots and invite one friend and boost the wins off each other that way. If you decide to go into a random lobby and play YOU have to be the one to win and not your teammates.

If you need a boosting partner you can find one in this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread.

  • If you want to focus on nothing but the fight, entering an Endless Battle is for you!

Please refer to “Endless 10” for more information.

  • In the pursuit of strength, one must have a goal! In Endless Battle, win 3 matches in a row.

Please refer to “Endless 10” for more information.

  • Throw away your fears and focus on the fight! Win 10 fights in a row in Endless Battle!

An Endless Battle! is a player match room where you can invite your friends in private matches and trade wins between each other. I would advise not to try earning this while playing in a random player match room … players online are scary so unless you are confident enough in your skills I would avoid them as much as possible.

  • Watch 30 Replays via the Replay Channel! Isn't it fun watching people go at it tooth and nail?

Go into either the Playstation Network menu or the Player Data menu and select Replay Channel. In the Replay Channel you can watch various matches that were uploaded of other players matches. The easiest way to earn this is by picking any of the filters and before each replay it will randomly select a match that fits the criteria of the filter you chose, after you finish that replay it will automatically bring you back to that screen and it will auto play another match for you, so you can just leave your game on until this trophy unlocks for you.

  • It's only natural for warriors to seek fights! Create 30 Endless Battle lobbies!

This trophy can be a little misleading, you have to create 30 Endless Battle lobbies AND play at least one match each time for it to register. Then you can disband the lobby and remake the room. Because this is a player match lobby you can boost this with your friend by making private slots in the room.

If you need a boosting partner you can find one in this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread.

  • Hey mon, battlin' is fun, no? Go out and create 30 Team Battle lobbies and enjoy the rhythm!

This is exactly the same as “Endless Lobbyist” however with the Team Battle lobbies. Make the lobby 2v2 and invite one of your friends and follow the same steps in “Endless Lobbyist“.

  • Fight 30 opponents via Arcade Fight Request. It'd be easy with the right bait, he he.

At the setting screen for Arcade mode make sure you have “Fight Request” turned on. If you are boosting this you can follow the settings under “Tenpeat” and have a friend find you otherwise you’ll just have to hope someone joins you. If you want more people to join you your ideal settings would have to be:

    • Rounds (Best of): 3
    • Timer: 99

This is a regular tournament play setup and more online players will join settings such as this.

DLC: Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition

8 trophies

  • As if you could ever defeat Evil Ryu in Arcade Mode on the hardest difficulty. See for yourself!

WARNING: You do NOT get a continue if you lose to him. So the current character you are using as you go in to fight against him with is the character you must beat him with. Remember to utilize the second controller trick and press with a connected second controller to save yourself from having to redo the entire Arcade mode.

To face Evil Ryu after defeating Seth on the hardest difficulty you must fulfill the following requirements if you are set to 1 Round Settings:

    • No Continues
    • 1 Perfect
    • Defeat Seth with a Ultra/Super combo Finish

Evil Ryu is a pretty predictable opponent but can easily overwhelm with pressure. Two notable move's he uses are Shoryuken and Hadoken. If you are using a character who has an attack that can go through projectiles punish Evil Ryu each time he uses Hadoken. As for Shoryuken, try to bait it out and punish it on block. Evil Ryu can now teleport just as Akuma can and move right behind you so be weary of that. Also if he so happens to fill up his meter bar watch out for his Super Raging Demon.

If you are already skilled enough this battle could probably be a joke to you but to those lacking in skills you may want to be patient when fighting Evil Ryu.

  • To surpass the power of Oni, you must defeat him in Arcade Mode on the hardest setting.

WARNING: You do NOT get a continue if you lose to him. So the current character you are using as you go in to fight against him with is the character you must beat him with. Remember to utilize the second controller trick and press with a connected second controller to save yourself from having to redo the entire Arcade mode.

To face Oni after defeating Seth on the hardest difficulty you must fulfill the following requirements if you are set to 1 Round Settings:

    • No Continues
    • 1 Perfect
    • 5 First Attacks
    • 3 Ultra/Super Combo Finishes
    • Defeat Seth with a Ultra/Super combo Finish

Oni applies much more pressure then Evil Ryu can ever wish to. Like Evil Ryu Oni will use the Gohadouken but not so often and even then you have to watch it when you try to punish it because Oni has probably the best version of Shoryuken (Oni's is Goshoryuken), its so safe he could probably spam it with no worries at all. Finaly two notable moves to watch out for are Demon Palm (Sekisei Jiraiken) and Demon Slash (Rakan Dantojin), Demon Palm leaps Oni into the smashes the ground below him, its very fast and hard to see and even harder to punish on block, Demon Slash is safe on block for Oni and can cross you up if he uses the Heavy variant.

I found using Level 3 Focus attacks from a safe distance still pretty effective but don't rely too much on it, back up and bait out moves like Gohadouken and Demon Slash. If he tries to get in too close watch out for the Goshoryukens and Demon Palms.

  • Dude, just clear Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Yun! Piece of cake!

For the following trophies you must play as the selected DLC character from start to finish, you can not use the same method under "All Clear" to switch out for Zangief otherwise it will ruin the requirement of not using a continue. When entering arcade have it set to the following settings:

    • Difficulty: Medium (No need to make things harder on yourself)
    • Timer: 99 (Incase you so happen to start losing)
    • Rounds (Best of): 1

Also remember to keep a second controller if possible turned on and near by incase you are about to lose a match, you can save yourself by pressing on that second controller.

Because Yun is a new character here are some notable basic moves you want to keep in mind when using him for this trophy:

Zesshou Hohou (Lunge Punch):+ , or
One of Yun's easiest and safest ways to get in. He leaps towards the opponent with his fist out also closing the space between him and the opposing player. Depending on the variant you use the leap might not be so far however the recovery will be much faster. This move is a good way to get in on your opponent and a fast way to punish whiffed attacks.

Kobokushi (Palm Strike): + , or
One of Yun's best moves, He stands in place stomps on the ground while pumping his palms forward. What makes this move so good is that he basically beats out any jumps and stops projectiles. If you use the variant he does a fake which can be used to bait out moves (which probably won't be the case unless you are playing online). His and variant builds meter and may or may not have push back depending on the variant. This move is also safe on block so feel free to abuse it but not too much if the opponent tends to be too close.

    Nishokyaku (Dragon Kicks): +, or
Yun's Dragon Punch move, he will leap up kicking both of his feet how high, far and how much damage it does it dependent on the variant you use. This move also has a nice amount of invincibility on start up depending on the variant however can be easily be punished if the move whiffs or gets blocked.

If you would like more information in regards to using Yun please refer to this link: EventHubs SSFIV AE Yun Strategy Guide

  • Clear Arcade mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Yang. It's simple!

Please refer to "Just Enough" for more information.

Because Yang is a new character here are some notable basic moves you want to keep in mind when using him for this trophy:

Tourou Zan (Mantis Slashes): + , or
Yang slices his hand infront of him and will keep doing it for the amount of times you input the moveset for the move (max 3 per). The is safe on block so long as you don't continue it with the multiple hits while the and variants are not and be punished on block. The move is a good poke to get in (if you are using the variant) and also serves as a good combo ender.

Byakko Soushouda (Palm Strike): + , or
One of Yang's best moves (Just like Yun's), He stands in place stomps on the ground while pumping his palms forward.

Senkyuutai (Dragon Kicks, Roll Kick): +, or
Yang will roll on the ground towards the opposing player and do an fast upward kick (the variant does not roll on the ground). This move is a great way to punish projectiles. In Yangs Rival battle he will face Ryu who will spam Hadokens, the variant of this move is a great way to punish it consistently. As good as the move is it is also VERY unsafe on block so don't use it unless you are sure your opponent is attacking.

If you would like more information in regards to using Yang please refer to this link: Eventhubs SSFIV AE Yang Strategy Guide

  • If you seek power, clear Arcade mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Evil Ryu.

Please refer to "Just Enough" for more information.

Because Evil Ryu is a new character here are some notable basic moves you want to keep in mind when using him for this trophy:

    Red Fireball (Shakunetsu Hadouken):+, or
Because you want to utilize the new tools Evil Ryu has opposed to his normal counterpart you might want to keep in mind his charged Hadoken. This move is a good way to chip away your opponent or win fireball fights against the opponent however the move is slow so it can easily be avoided so don't spam it as you would a hadoken.

    Shoryuken (Dragon Punch): +, or
Just like the regular Shoryuken's this one is just as good. One of the best anti-air moves in the game, you can choose between the Light Shoryuken which can combo into Ultra 1 with ease of if you don't have that meter you can go with the Hard Shoryuken which has the move invincibility. Be careful though because of blocked it can punish you severely.

    Axe Kick: + , or
Evil Ryu will swing his leg forward up and then down. This may look like an overhead however it is not (except for the EX version). This move can be fast and safe on block depending on the variant you use. The version is fast but if blocked leaves you wide up where as the variant is safe on block but doesn't come out as fast. The is simply for damage and for combo enders.

If you would like more information in regards to using Evil Ryu please refer to this link: Eventhubs SSFIV AE Evil Ryu Strategy Guide

  • Ascend beyond oneself by clearing Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Oni.

Please refer to "Just Enough" for more information.

Because Oni is a new character here are some notable basic moves you want to keep in mind when using him for this trophy:

Demon Slash (Rakan Dantojin): +, or
Oni will dash up and perform a forward slash in-front of him, his move is very important when applying pressure. The variant is safe on block and can be FADC'd into bigger damage. The variant is a bit slower and very unsafe on block however its immune to projectiles mid move and can knock down on hit. Finally the variant can cross up the opponent but is rather slow about it, its amazing for mix ups.

Demon Palm (Sekisei Jiraiken): +, or
Oni will leap into the air and pound the ground below him. Its very fast and hard to see coming, Oni will leap forward a certain range depending on the variant you use. This move is good during pressure strings if you're trying to get in on your opponent.

Air Hadou Dash (Zanku Hadosho): +, or
Probably one of Oni's best qualities ... an air dash. This move can only be used in the air and is a good way to close in on your opponent or bait out anti-air moves depending on the variant you use. Be careful though as you wide open upon landing so watch your spacing.

If you would like more information in regards to using Oni please refer to this link: Eventhubs SSFIV AE Oni Strategy Guide

  • You need study materials if you wanna make your battle plan. Follow one player in the Rankings.

In the Network Battle menu select leaderboards and press to scroll through the selections until you find one subjecting BP. Look at the top leaderboards of the BP selections for someone who has 3000+ BP, select their name and then press to follow them which will unlock this trophy.

  • Use a new Title and Icon, and fight in one online match. Right on!

Upon loading the game with the new Arcade Edition DLC downloaded and installed the system will already be preset to the AE changes. Simply press and then press or to see your icon or title. At the last few pages of both lists will be a SSFIV AE section filled with icons/titles for each of the 4 DLC characters, icons/titles that would normally be unlocked through arcade mode or trial mode are already there for you, set a new one for both your icon and title.

  • Assert leadership and clear Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Rolento.

For the Arcade Mode trophies, you'll want to have the following settings:

    Rounds: 1
    Timer: 99
    Difficulty: Medium

These are the minimum requirements if you want to complete Arcade Mode as fast as possible. 99 seconds gives you plenty of time to beat your opponent without losing to lower health, and medium difficulty is the lowest you can go without voiding the trophy. Also, keep a second controller handy so that you can hit the start button in the event that you are about to lose a match. This will allow you to beat the idle second player and continue the arcade without using a continue as per the trophy requirements. One general tip I can give is that knocking down the CPU and following with a grab when they stand is a decent way to deal some damage. I always try to follow a knockdown with a grab.

Rolento is a very nimble character that features a move-set heavily involving jumping around and fast combos. I found him to be one of the more "noob friendly" characters in the game since his combos are rather easy to chain and pull off. He's very mobile which is good for closing the gaps when you're fighting a character with ranged attacks such as Ryu or Cody. He also features a sliding Heavy Kick move that is effective at knocking down opponents from a distance. His Patriot Circle move is strong and great for creating a solid combo since it can be done 3 consecutive times. Some effective combos I found were:

Mekong Delta Escape > Air Hard Punch > Patriot Circle
    > During the Mekong Delta Escape > () x3

The above can also be followed by his super combo, Mine Sweeper. You can also switch the Patriot Circle for an Ultra Combo if it's available.

Stinger > Crouching Hard Kick > Grab
( or or ) > > when CPU gets up

Mekong Delta Air Raid > Crouching Hard Kick > Grab
then > > when CPU gets up

  • Dance with everyone! Clear the Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using continue with Elena!

Look under For the Utopia! for general information about Arcade Mode.

Elena is a character that has a nice amount of range in her attacks. Her attacks can cover a longer distance than some of the standard ones which is good against close range fighters like Hugo. I found it a little difficult to pull off any major combos with her, but i did manage to land smaller ones to deal some damage. I played the range game with her, trying to use her somewhat longer range to keep a bit of distance. If the enemy got too close, I'd try to back off or use a move like her Lynx Tail to do some damage. She also has a sliding kick move that is great for knocking down opponents to help initiate the stand up grab. Here are some small combos that seemed to work well for me:

Target Combo 4 > Scratch Wheel
    then >

Air Hard Kick > Crouch Light Punch > Crouch Medium Punch > Lynx Tail
    > > >

Those were the big 2 combos I found myself using, but I mostly kept my distance and used moves like Rhino Horn or Spin Scythe. These moves are effective from a nice range and can be used after you lead with a punch or kick.

  • No more mocking! Clear Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using a continue with Poison.

Look under For the Utopia! for general information about Arcade Mode.

Poison is a decent character who has well rounded attributes. She has some nice close up moves, but also a ranged move that can act as a grab and really do some damage if you're able to land it a couple of times. She also has a projectile attack, Aeolus Edge, that is good for keeping the distance if that's your style. Mix that with her Kissed By a Goddess special and you've got yourself an effective range game. Her Ultra Combo II, Poison Kiss, is a close range move that can inflict massive damage if you are able to land it. Here are some effective combos I used:

Air Hard Kick > Medium Punch > Whip of Love
    > > () x3

Air Hard Kick > Crouch Hard Punch > Aeolus Edge
    > >

The above combo can also be followed by her super move, Thunder Whip.

Crouch Hard Punch > EX Whip of Love > Kissed by a Goddess
    > () x4 >

  • Reach the league's top and clear Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using continue with Hugo.

Look under For the Utopia! for general information about Arcade Mode.

Hugo is one of the more powerful characters among the new 5, and probably one of the easiest to get a handle on. If you can learn how to rotate the stick correctly in order to perform his moves, you're all set. What's great about Hugo is that his move-set has a ton of different grabs that can be devastating should you land them on your opponent. I, personally, had no trouble completing Arcade with Hugo since he's just a powerhouse. Just be very careful around opponents with ranged attacks as that is a big weakness of his. He's very slow, so closing the gap can be a problem at times, but just watch your opponent and dodge accordingly. Here are some combos I found useful with Hugo:

    Ultra Throw > Shootdown Backbreaker
    >

You can replace the Shootdown Backbreaker with Monster Lariat if you want. That would be after the Ultra Throw.

Giant Palm Bomber > Monster Lariat
    >

Those were my main 2 combos, otherwise I just got in close and hit with a mix of punches and kicks. Get in really close and you can hit em with the Moonsault Press for some nice damage.
    That would be

  • Follow your anger by clearing Arcade Mode on Medium or higher without using continue with Decapre.

Look under For the Utopia! for general information about Arcade Mode.

Decapre is one of the more difficult characters to get a grasp of, in my opinion. Some of her best moves require holding the left stick for a certain amount of time and timing this can prove difficult for the more novice players. However, when you get a handle on her and her move-set, she can actually be quite fun to use. One thing she does have is the Light Scramble special move which is basically a kick slide that can knock down your opponent, putting you in a position to grab them when they stand up. She also has the rapid dagger special move that is great at chipping away damage. The EX version is especially helpful at chipping away damage when your opponent is guarding. Some helpful combos I found were:

Air Hard Kick > Medium Punch > Rapid Dagger
    > > rapidly

Crouch light kick > Crouch light kick > Light Punch > Rapid Dagger
    > > > rapidly

If your opponent is against a wall, try:
Crouch light punch > Target Combo 2 > Air Grab
    > then >

  • Initiative is everything! Surprise the enemy by using both Ultra Combos in a single Ranked Match!

This trophy is easier than it sounds because you don't actually have to land the combos or win the match for the trophy; simply using both ultra combos in a single match will suffice. You can use one of the new characters and try to win the match so that you'll knock out this and Ultra Effective at the same time. After you select your character and need to pick an ultra combo, make sure you select "Ultra Combo Double" so that you will be able to use both of your ultra combos. If you want to try and combine this with Ultra Effective, I'd recommend Elena as her Healing move doesn't require you to hit your opponent and will be effective otherwise. Then you just have to use her Brave Dance move and the trophy will unlock.

  • Strength in numbers! Gather a team of four and defeat another in any Team Battle!

This will probably be the hardest trophy in this DLC considering how dead the Team Battle Mode is. In Team Battle, players will form a team and fight against each other until one team has no fighters left. For this trophy, you'll need to form a team with 3 other players and win the match. Due to the low/non existent population in this mode, you will probably need to utilize the Trophy Boosting Thread (Make sure to follow the boosting thread rules!) You do not need to personally win your match-up, but your team must be the overall winner.

  • New adventures await! Win a Ranked Match with a character added in Ultra Street Fighter IV!

Simply win a Ranked Match with 1 of the 5 new characters. This includes:

    - Elena
    - Decapre
    - Rolento
    - Hugo
    - Poison

Try out each character and look at which one you feel most comfortable with. Personally, I did this with Rolento because he is an agile character and relatively easy to pull off combos with. His moves are not hard to learn, and they can be quite effective if you time them right. You only need 1 win, but should you be struggling to do that you can try finding someone in the Trophy Boosting Thread to help you.

  • Strong fighter has no fear of change! Defeat your Street Fighter IV self on the Hardest difficulty!

This is actually very simple. Go into Versus, find a character that was in the original Street Fighter IV roster, and select them. This includes:

    - Ryu
    - Ken
    - Chun-Li
    - E. Honda
    - Blanka
    - Zangief
    - Guile
    - Dhalsim
    - Balrog
    - Vega
    - Sagat
    - M. Bison
    - Abel
    - C. Viper
    - Rufus
    - El Fuerte
    - Seth
    - Akuma
    - Gouken
    - Dan
    - Fei Long
    - Rose
    - Sakura
    - Cammy
    - Gen

When you select the character, you will have a little menu pop up to customize their costume, win quotes, colors, etc. On the bottom, you should find the version selection. When picking your character, make sure you select "USFIV" as your choice. Then when you select the CPU as the same character, select "SFIV", not "SSFIV" or any of the other options. If you picked any of the characters besides the ones listed above you will not have "SFIV" as an available option, so make sure to check that. Now to make this trophy ridiculously easy, set your handicap to 100%, and your opponent's to 0%. Now your opponent should lose to a single hit, and the trophy should unlock upon winning the match.
