To platinum this game in one playthrough it'll require you to focus on all the collectibles (chests) as well as missable trophies. To ensure you don’t miss any chests, or overshoot an ideal spot for one of the missable trophies, it will require a considerable amount of saving. This game features a manual save option, and you can save at any time whilst playing. However, loading a save will place you at the most recent waypoint (autosave). You will know when you have reached a new waypoint by the blinking “Saving…” icon in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. It is recommended to either save every 2-3 chests you open, or you can even save at each waypoint. Each time you save it logs your current in game location in the save details which you can see in the load save screen. All collectibles and missable trophies are listed by their in game location, so making use of this feature is suggested.
Step 1 – Play through the story to unlock all story related trophies
Before playing the game there are a few things you should take note of. First, it’s possible to platinum the game in one playthrough given you don’t drink any health potions (see Dehydrated) and open all one-hundred chests (please refer to It’s Mine, All Mine!). Secondly, since difficulty doesn’t affect trophy unlocks, I highly recommend playing on Apprentice (lowest) difficulty. You can choose the difficulty when starting a new game; at the difficulty selection screen select Apprentice. Basic tips for playing through the game:
- Most trophies in this guide have a location listed. To view your current location, manually save then choose to load a game and look at your most recent save – the location will be listed.
- You can avoid attacks by either blocking with your shield or dodging.
- To remove shields from enemies, either shield bash or hit them twice with Ice bolt.
- Some enemies are resistant to certain types of magic so switch to another type if you are only dealing little to no damage.
- Earth, Ice, Fire, and Lightning magics have a limited number of casts before you must wait for your mana to regenerate, so don’t cast spells with these types too quickly.
To avoid playing a complete second playthrough, do not drink a health potion for Dehydrated. If at any given point you accidentally drink one, you can load the most recent manual save prior to drinking and still earn the trophy. To further reduce the platinum time, open every chest in the game without missing one. I highly recommend taking advantage of this amazing collectible guide written by Wozamil: Sorcery Collectible Treasure Chest Guide.
In the collectible guide, chests listed as ‘chest’ contain a random alchemy ingredient depending on your location and/or gold coins. If you pass a chest location, the game will put up an invisible wall behind you that will prevent you from walking back to open a chest. To ensure that you don’t miss all the chests, manually save often. This way, if you miss a chest you can go back and get it by simply reloading your most recent manual save. Keep in mind that when loading a save you will not start at the exact spot you saved – instead the game takes you back to the most recent waypoint (checkpoint) at the time of saving. Similarly, if you die it takes you back to the most recent waypoint. This means you will need to collect all chests after the waypoint; both missed and previously collected chests from that point forward.
The remaining miscellaneous trophies aren't too difficult, and while quite a few can be earned at any given time, most of them have ideal locations. Below is a list of the missable trophies in the order earned based on earliest/best location:

Step 2 – Miscellaneous trophy clean up
As long as you finished the first playthrough without drinking a health potion and opened every chest, you will not have to play a second time through as long as you created many manual saves. To get one of the miscellaneous trophies, all you have to do is load the closest save prior to the best location for the trophy you are after.
