Complete all levels on Veteran difficulty

How to unlock The true RESOGUN starts here...

There are a total of five different levels in the game, each consisting of three separate “phases” and a boss. The first three phases within a level are comprised of an ever increasing number of regular enemies. The fourth and final portion is a unique boss that you must kill to finally clear the level, and unlock the next level as well. The bosses themselves also have three phases each that trigger after taking enough damage.

All of the difficulty trophies stack, so clearing the game on a higher difficulty will unlock the preceding trophies as well. To unlock this trophy you must clear all of the levels in Arcade mode on Veteran difficulty. The levels are as follows:
    • Level 1: Acis
    • Level 2: Ceres
    • Level 3: Decima
    • Level 4: Febris
    • Level 5: Mefitis

If you are struggling with a specific level please visit their individual trophy walkthroughs below.

With each increasing difficulty tier the enemies will gain enhanced speed, health, aggression, attack types and an overall spike in sheer quantity. On Veteran and above the enemies will swiftly transform into “golden types” when left alive for too long. They are an even stronger variant of the default version; possessing more health and sometimes altering its attack pattern. Dispatch them as quickly as possible to prevent being overwhelmed by empowered golden enemies.

Although there is no definitive best ship to use—they each have their benefits and cater to a specific play style—I personally found that the Nemesis was the fastest and easiest to clear when played well. The recharge rate on its Boost ability allows you to use it offensively and often to clear large swaths of enemies, or escape from a heavy onslaught. Simply tapping the button in the direction of a group can instantly destroy any enemy type. It also grants temporary invincibility and destroys projectiles at the location you finish your boost.

If you aren’t confident with your boosting capabilities, or aren’t that great at this genre of games, then the Ferox is the best alternative. You should only take Phobos on Veteran if you are extremely good at dodging projectiles and managing your Overdrive, due to the long recharge time on Boost.

  • Can this be done on co-op?
  • Not if u wanna unlock master
  • Odd I breezed through the first four levels found it to be a lot harder on Experienced. Might have to do with using a different ship (Phobos) and having played the levels many times having beaten the game on Rookie and Experienced.
  • I did this in single player, not Arcade Mode. You don't have to beat it in 1 sitting or anything like that, because it took me a few days to beat it on veteran (and I kept on dying a lot). As long as you eventually do all 5 levels on Veteran, you'll get the trophy. I'm not sure if this will work in co-op.
  • #4 Ohh, thank you for this. I was under the impression it had to be in one sitting, damn near impossible. Love this game.
  • This game really sucks can you beat it in coop ?
  • I'm wondering the same thing #6.
  • Oh man I wish I had have read this earlier i've been killing myself trying to get it all done in one arcade sitting & dying on the 5th level every time.
  • @8. That Sucks. lol
  • Need a hand with Mefitis the final level on veteran. Also need to do the whole lot on Experienced! Add me if you can help! - PSN: Astraeus17
  • I was able to complete this in co-op, and I got the trophy. I can't explain why it worked for me, but I'm certainly happy it did. I was able to get to the Mefitis level on my own, but a friend helped me finish it in co-op, and the trophy unlocked upon the end of level.
  • @6 If you beat the game on Veteran in Co-op the trophy will unlock but Master difficulty will not. You need to beat it solo to unlock Master difficulty, or you can play on Master with somebody who has already unlocked it.
  • the final boss is fucken annoying is veteran mode but i beat it just dying once and that was one hell of a victory
  • Need some help with the final level Mefitis on Veteran! PSN: Astraeus18
  • I just got done finishing this trophy. It was the biggest pain in the butt. What's the worst part is that the time that it takes to beat Level 5 is the time that it takes to beat all of the other levels combined. But since I did it in Single Level, I have to do it all over again in Arcade to unlock Master Mode. Also, I can't use Co-Op. Oh well, I'll work on other trophies in this game. I definitely recommend Nemesis for going on Veteran, because the boost recharge time is really fast. That's the secret to beating it - boosting. On the final boss, which is criminally hard, you need to find out a way to specifically beat it. What I did was for the 1st part, just move back and shoot. The 2nd part, move back and shoot, and occasionally boost if the columns trap you. The 3rd part, move up and
  • down the screen so that you can direct the bullets away from you. That's all I'm going to tell you for now.
  • In order to beat level 5 boss you HAVE to do this, it really worked for me 100% of the times I've beat the game: with Nemesis you have to fly away of the worm the first phase while shooting backwards, second phase equally but boosting every time the tentacles aim at you, boost a little to recharge fast. And then it will shoot a loot of bombs in rounds, you just need to shoot going up, then going down according those bombs pattern. In the third phase boost right in the middle of the worm, where no projectile can touch you. It's so easy this way!
  • I just used Phobos. Its shotgun is extremely good with dealing with enemies. The basic ship is extremely bad. The homing one is also pretty good, but not my type since it's not as strong as Phobos.
