AC/DC Trophy in inFamous

  • AC/DC

Drain 750 megawatts of power from Empire City.

    How to unlock AC/DC

In the first Sewer mission you will come across a transformer that you will have to fix. As this has infinite electricity coming out of it, you should use your shockwave until you are out of cores and then fill up your cores to the max. Repeat this until you have the trophy. If you try to get this during the first sewer mission, it's going to take you around 15+ minutes using the above method depending on how many times you've refilled cores throughout the game. You'll more than likely get this trophy just by playing the game, however, so it is advised to simply play the game and wait for the trophy to unlock naturally.

  • The method in the guide description is not the simplest. You do NOT need to empty your power cores each time you fill up. The easiest way is to get to the transformer in any Sewer Mission and drain power from it infinitely. I just turned off the vibration and placed the L2 button against a book while a went and made a sandwich. Easy :)
  • i turned off my controller while holding the r2 button and he still was draining the energy .....easier than a book lol
  • I had waited more than 30+ min. of draining and still no trophy. then I decided to thow some grenades, and then all the power cores were empty... TROPHY.
  • i agree with hutnhurley....it's the easiest way to achieve this trophy
  • Comment #2 by hurtnhurley Best Way!!!
  • Easy to get this without those methods, you will have it by the end of the game.
  • Comment #3 by Kenneth11S I also had to throw grenades for it to pop.
  • Could you use the Drain: Induction Yield for getting this trophy? If so, why not just leave your guy grinding on the train tracks, turn the controller off while holding up, and try to get two trophies at once?
  • Very easy trophy, although if you don't want to waste 10 minutes of game time draining energy in sewers, simply play the game and get this through a regular completion.
  • Hi , need a help here . . I have finished the game and still don't have the trophy , and I can't go to any sewer so I want to know what can I do . . Drain elecrtrecity randomly around the city and wait ? THANKS !
  • @#8: you could do that, if the trains weren't on the rails ;)
  • I've finished the game and this trophy hasn't popped. Thats with all of the side stuff complete as well. I guess I'm just different lol
  • @12: same.
  • A tip for those who have beat the story and haven't got this; there is a side mission called supply run located on docks on the west side, you on bus you must protect and it's got electricity on it, simply spam megawatt hammer and once it's empty heal the bar do this 3-4 times at least then jump off bus blow yourself up start from beginning again.
  • I as well didn't have this at the end nor did I have any of the bus side missions but what I did was sit in the crater next to a n exposed cable and spammed megawatt hammer and energy drained the cable till my meter was halfway, waited for a couple seconds and the cable was ready to be drained again, and repeated it till it popped. Took 10 minutes from when I started.
  • man this was annoying to get.
  • The easiest way to do it is just to go to a unre-astablised substation in the sewers and drain power from it by pressing L2. then why holding L2 just turn of the controller and wait a while. since they give infinite electricity this is the easiest way to do it. the way that is told in the guide desription is way harder since you dont need any power cores empty.
  • @ Comment #3 by Kenneth11S: Odd, I had to do the exact same thing because I was waiting forever for this trophy to pop and was wondering why it wasn't. As soon as I stopped draining the power and used all of my battery cores pop goes the trophy.
  • I was playing on hard mode, I somehow got this trophy before even going to the warden. It might be because I’m not that good lol. I must of drained a lot of energy.
