Illusory Game Hunter Trophy in Gravity Rush

  • Illusory Game Hunter

Defeated the rare Nevi in Rift Planes: The Mirage.

How to unlock Illusory Game Hunter

You'll first enter the Rift Planes: The Mirage in Episode 10 - however, it isn't recommended you fight the Nevi until you are stronger, as you likely won't be able to defeat it at this stage. Also, due to Dusty being weakened, you'll barely even have enough energy to fly to the Nevi when you first come here, let alone fight it. In order to reach the rare Nevi, head to the third flower and look out into the distance, where you'll see a red, planet-like orb being suspended:

Fly over to it and the Nevi will spawn.

Once you reach it, try get close to it while dodging the red orbs it fires at you. It will cease firing momentarily between barrages, which is the only opportunity you have to attack safely. Use your Gravity Kick ( while flying) to kick the eyes on its back, then keep dodging when it starts firing red orbs again. If you run low on health or need more energy, retreat to stock up - the health gem by the first flower will restock infinitely after opening the flower (thanks to dave87fez for this information) - then head back into the fight. It doesn't heal at all, so take your time. Don't bother using special attacks to hurt it, as it is immune to special attacks.

  • To me this one was the hardest until I realized that if you hit the left trigger and drop you respawn by the last flower. There is also a green org there to give you energy. That green orb respawns every couple of seconds so just stand there until you engery is full again. The hidden Nevi will still be there with the same amount of damage. After that it was pretty easy.
  • oh yes use the tree nearby to get health
  • I gotta say, this is the hardest Rare Nevi.. I'm trying to kill him but he's always shooting those red balls.. Some people consider the Rere Nevi in Rift Planes : The Inferno the hardest to kill, but no, it's a little bit easier than this one..
  • WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY JESUS
  • Health Gems won't respawn if there are Nevi nearby. Once you've started this fight, the infinite Health Gem will not respawn until it's dead.
  • Tip - the weak spots on its back regen. Just go for the head.
  • FUCK THIS GUY!!!
  • Haha, I like how they put a giant decayed Sputnik 1 in this level. I thought that was pretty neat =p
  • This was the hardest rare Nevi for me, too. Just make sure that you have defeated the nearby Nevi so that the health gem next to the nearest flower respawns, and that you have fully upgraded your evade as you will need all of your dodges to avoid the red orbs. And like DJ_Bunce said, go for the head!
  • If anyone is still struggling with this one I have some useful tips. 1) When you engage it, fly more or less towards it, sort of behind it. When it starts firing at you change directions by about 45 degrees. This way you'll be sort of in front of it, and will have a fairly easy time hitting some of its weak points. After you do that, dodge as much as you can and get out of there fast. The Nevi's attacks will track and can actually change course a huge amount. 2) When you lose health (you will) go to the third flower. It's the one on the moon with the stone ring around it. There's also a tree on it I believe. There is a regenerating health powerup there. This is useful. Some people say that health items don't regenerate, but this one does. • I don't know why are you calling this the hardest rare Nevi. I killed it at the first time I came! I mean I did it with Dusty sick. Seriously. I guess I spent hours fighting with it, having no idea that I would be able to come back anytime I want. I'm crazy!
  • Very Easy. I got it on my Second try through Trail and error. Just always make sure you are above the nevi and have you EVADE kill maxed out and constantly use evade (touchscreen dodge) to dodge all the red orbs. Make sure to take out the head first. G back to any pplanets for health regen.
  • This was the second one completed, but I used a strategy very similar to the one I used in the Inferno. Line yourself up for your attack, and get out of there straight away. In the case of this one though, I got in front of the flight path of this Nevi, a fair way ahead (it circles), and just hovered above. If I needed to recover my gravity gauge, I simply dropped and then flew back up - I left myself with that much time. When dodging the red balls, I made sure I dodged in a direction that would be me closer to the Nevi, so that when it was close enough between attacks, I could be real quick about hitting it. Even then, hitting it was a real pain, but with perseverance, I got it eventually. The amount of times I needed to go back and recover health was insane though, I could under
  • this is the worst boss i ever fought in a videogame!!! it cannot be beaten! though thanks for the info guys i didn know the health orb next to the flower would regenarate. However people say that his health doesnt regenarate. No, actually it does. i broke almost every orb and when i tried to heal myself he had all the orbs bqck. some people say go for the head first. why? i already did it but i cant see any difference.
  • #1 Tip. Eyes regenerate but his health stays the same. Blow the eye out on its head, fall till you respawn near your health supply, attack just the head again. It looks like he has healed, but he is just growing eyes, not health
