Final Fantasy XIII-2

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Trophies
Fair Fighter
Defeated a powerful enemy on equal terms.

(This trophy unlocks Moogle's Theme for the XMB.)

Defeat Raspatil on Normal Difficulty - Easy Difficulty will not count! Raspatil is a rare monster that can be found in Oerba Village AF400 around the top of the staircase leading down to the beach. Like other rare monsters, he will appear as a "void" before he is engaged.

Turning on the "Battle Mania" Fragment Skill will increase the odds of rare spawns and hasten his appearance (without Battle Mania, it took me ~30 minutes to get him to appear). Battle Mania can be unlocked via the Chocobo Girl in Serendipity after earning the "Paradox Professor" Fragment from City of Academia AF400, which requires 100% Map Completion for all areas in the game.

If Noel and Serah are maxed out at Level 99 in all 6 Roles and have good equipment, Raspatil is not particularly difficult at all, but he has a massive amount of HP. Expect the battle to take at least 5 minutes or so, and note that Raspatil's attacks deal Wound Damage (Max HP down) moreso than a lot of other enemies and bosses; come prepared with at least a dozen or so Wound Potions in order to recover from it.

Defeat Attila. Does not matter what star rating you get.

In the Japanese version it's called Atilla. Just like Invincible (JPN) is called Immortal in the English version

Raspatil fits the monster better, since he is part of Undying

Defeat Raspatil which can be found in Oerba 400 AF, pretty easy fight except when he summons additional Cie'th for you to deal with, take care of the Vampires as they can Daze you and prevent you from making almost any action, remove all other Cie'th after and pummel Raspatil, recommend you do this after beating the game as the boss takes quite a lot of damage.

In my experience this kind of fights depend a lot on your Monster partners. High rank ones will change the flow of battle with ease. Yakishini and his Feral link which buffs and heals the entire party in a single move is priceless for example.

Make sure to kill all the enemies that he spawns, or he'll sacrifice them and absorb all their health (a skill called Beseech).

I keep reading posts of people talking about beating this in 2-5 mins, and how easy it is. I just tried four times on normal ( about 1hr) then switched over to easy and tried once ( about 25mins) and didnt even come close. I'm completely maxed out and have the Odin weapons. What am I missing. I can't even imagine beating this in only 5 mins. His health doesn't move at all no matter what I do. Someone please help me!!

If you can't beat him try these MED oriented paradigm:
RAV-RAV-RAV to get stagger quickly
SYN-SYN-MED/RAV to get your buffs and either keep health up or keep staggering Raspatil while you buff up.
COM-COM-MED to damage while he's staggered while maintain high health and use for taking down the enemies Raspatil puts out without loosing too much health.
MED-MED-MED if you get into trouble and need to heal fast probably wont be needed
SEN-SEN-SEN for that big attack that he does

Make sure you use SYN class to buff up at the start and lessen Raspatil's wounds and damage always maintain your buff's and if you losse them get them back quick.
Then RAV class to stagger him and while he is staggered go with COM.
When he puts out his other enemies they should go down quick if you have all

buffs up while using COM paradigm.
Then get back to killing Raspatil withouth loosing much health.

Im not sure if SAB work's on Raspatil as i faced him straight after Don Tonberry who is not affected by SAB so I had no Paradigm with SAB.
If he is then SAB-SAB-RAV for casting de-buffs on Raspatil just before he is staggered.
Good Luck

This was the hardest trophy for me to get. I fought him over and over with no luck. Then i finally got and levelled a Yakshini and his feral link helped A LOT.
I basically used a double Sab to deprotect and deshell him, then a triple Rav to quickly stagger (with a good feral link from Debris to boost it fast) then triple Com with a 'Cross' mode.
Only time i ever really had to worry about his spawns was when it was the Wladislaus .... Man them guys ... If you see them, prioritise them over EVERYTHING. They WILL slow you down due to all the healing you will have to do and before you know it your chain has gone and you're starting over.
