Final Fantasy XIII-2

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Trophies
Wild Thing
Successfully used Feral Link abilities a significant number of times.

Use ~100 Feral Link abilities for this trophy. Feral Links can be done via the button (when the Feral Link meter is full) while in battles. You also must succeed at the Feral Link QTEs; failed Feral Link QTEs will not count toward the ~100 required.

As long as you use Feral Link abilities as often as you can, this trophy will come naturally; Wild Thing unlocked for me in Episode 4.

I'm not a fan of using the feral links as they don't particularly aid me that much in battle. So I figured out a way for my lazy self to grind out the 100 feral link abilities needed for this trophy by having this set-up:

- monster must be Sentinel (I used Sentinel Lancer since his feral link ability is simply pressing up on the analog stick). I'm not too sure if you can use monsters that don't have any commands during feral links such as Flanitor.
- character you don't control must be Medic
- if you have any, equip any accessories on the Medic that help build feral link gauge faster (Hypnocrown I believe is one)
- though not necessary it'll speed things up to have the Clock Master fragment skill by having all 160 fragments
- enter a place with enemies with HP around the 50000s (rea

lly your choice)

What happens is I don't control the leader at all while the Sentinel monster takes all the hits and the other character constantly heals any damage. While monsters constantly attack as the Sentinel guards, the feral link gauge rises consistently. The reason I used Lancer is that his feral link is pretty weak (I was farming this while tackling goblins with their boss in Sunny Archylte Steppe) so you don't have to worry about killing an enemy or ending a battle too quickly. Also as stated earlier, its feral link command is simply pressing up. It'll take a while, sure, but it's faster than having to grind out against enemies you end up killing and have to wait for another battle to increase the gauge.

Hope this was useful for those that don't actively use feral links.

The best way to get this fast, or if you ignore using feral-links, is to use the same strategy as for "Clock Stopper". Use your three monsters feral links, retry, repeat. Thier bars will be refilled and you can just do it again. I just tested it while getting "Clock Stopper" and it popped after the 10th retry.

It felt like it took a lot more than 100 feral links for me.

I used a monster that had the ability that recharged it much faster, I can't remember the name of the monster though.
