Introduction

From the developers of Heavenly Sword, Ninja Theory's next game, Enslaved, has you controlling a man named Monkey. Your journey? To bring a girl named Trip back to her home. Whether you like it or not, you're forced to bring her back on a journey through New York City and to what appears to be a Post Apocalyptic World. Why? Because she's strapped your head with a Helmet and through the phrase, "Command", you're forced to do what you're told. Should you refuse her orders, lethal poison will be injected into your brain and well, you die.

A beautiful world, a male and female companion, straightforward platforming that generally plays itself, and combat that's fun and simple, makes this game very fun and engaging. Whether you decide to rent or buy this, if you liked Heavenly Sword and Prince Of Persia with a little bit of Uncharted, this game is a great new IP to play for Fall 2010.

ROADMAP

1) COMPLETE THE GAME ON HARD.

Pretty simple, just beat the game on whatever difficulty you choose. You might as well play on Hard since the game isn’t really all that difficult. The difficulty trophies are stacked, so if you begin on Hard, you'll earn all three of the Difficulty Related trophies.

I recommend upgrading Monkey in the following order:

  1. Combat Awareness
  2. Health Extension 1 and 2
  3. Shield Strength 1 and 2
  4. Block Strength 1 and 2
  5. Stun Effect
  6. Stun Time 1 and 2
  7. Ammo Increase 1 and 2
  8. Plasma Damage x2
  9. Focused Attack

This is just what I recommend, so you can always go abouts the upgrades in the order that best suits your playing style. The rest of the upgrades, you can purchase them which ever order you please.

On this playthrough you will get the Chapter Completion trophies. Also, you should have gotten most, if not all of the Combat Related trophies naturally. Don’t worry if you don’t, as you can always grind them out later using Chapter Select. If you want a good place to grind them out, CTRL+F the Chapter you're on and see if I've mentioned a place that's good for earning a particular trophy. If you have been following the Text and Video Guide, you should also have unlocked the Mask and Orb Collection trophies.

NOTE: An important thing to note is that there is a New Game+ feature. Everything you’ve earned such as Orbs collected, Masks collected, and Upgrades purchased on your first playthrough will carry over to Chapter Select or a New Game. Those that started the game on Easy will easily be able to breeze through on Hard with all their power ups.

Also just a heads up, the game keeps track on what difficulty you've finished a Chapter on. So if you're among the many others who love to finish collecting all your collectibles on each stage before moving on to the next one on a easier difficulty or vice versa, you can do so and the Difficulty Related trophies will unlock no problem. Thank you Moving On and maff33 for the confirmation!

2) EASY PLAYTHROUGH (Optional) + CLEAN UP.

Once you’ve finished your first playthrough, you may now use the Chapter Select function to earn the remaining trophies that you may have missed, specifically the Orbs. If you didn't play the game on Hard like I suggested, now is a good time to use Chapter Select and replay each chapter to do so.

Introduction

Within this DLC you get to play as Pigsy. Pigsy is on the search for a person he can relate and talk to. You start your search for 3 main parts that Pigsy will need. Pigsy uses a rifle and a gadget that turns the screen in to a heat vision mode called trouble vision (you will use that quiet often to find pin-ups and hidden food items) Throughout his adventure Pigsy will use 4 different items; a decoy, a stun bomb, a ally gadget and a standard bomb. All of which will be used to progress through the story.

Step One:

Play the game from start to finish using the collectibles guide provided by qasic. Use the collectibles guide will net you the dinner date trophy before the last chapter. Since the chapters are not long and collectibles are easier to locate chapter select will not be a problem if you miss a trophy. When you reach a chapter called under attack please see the trophy guide so you don’t miss out on two minor difficulty trophies.

Step Two:

Use chapter select to obtain any trophies you may have missed during your playthrough.

Hover away from the Dog on your Cloud until you're far enough, then take aim with your Staff and stun him. Once stunned he'll fall to the ground, in which you should run up to him and unleash melee attacks. When it gets back up, simply repeat the same thing over again until his first Life Bar's depleted. With his first Life Bar gone, the Dog will try to run away, dropping Blue Orbs along the way. Catch up to him with your Cloud and perform a Takedown

Do the same thing on his second Life Bar, and the Dog will be defeated.

Have Trip spin you back to the top with you on the pole, in which the option to release the flappings becomes available. Do the same thing for the third and final Blade but instead, make your way to the White Building, then the Red Building on the other side using the Windmill.

For those of you having trouble in the next fight, mainly due to those Boxer Mech's, the Focused Attack and Stun Blasts are your friends. The attack allows you to one shot them if all the hits connect. Using this adjacent with Stun Blasts should make quick work outta them.

You'll encounter your first Demolition Mech in Chapter 2. They're the Mech's with construction balls for hands. Use Plasma Blasts on their heads 20 times and the trophy will unlock. You'll most likely get this trophy as you play through the game, as you'll face against three of these.

If you wish though, during the Chapter 2 battle, shoot its head with Plasma Shots till you run out of ammo, and then get yourself killed. There's ammo in a nearby corner should you need to restock. Repeat this process till you earned the trophy.

  • Complete all chapters on Easy.

Finish the game on Easy. This difficulty related trophy stacks with the Great Sage Equal of Heaven so if you completed your first playthrough on Hard difficulty, this would also unlock.

    Unlocks during the Credits.

  • Complete all chapters on Normal.

Finish the game on normal. This difficulty related trophy stacks with the Great Sage Equal of Heaven trophy so if you completed your first playthrough on Hard difficulty, this would also unlock.

    Unlocks during the Credits.

  • Complete all chapters on Hard.

Hard is unlocked right away, so if you want a challenge on your first run, go for it! The only difference between Hard and Easy is that Mech’s do more damage and have more health.

    Some Tips:

    • Make use of the Sweep Attack +. It can and will get you outta sticky situations when you get surrounded by multiple enemies.
    • Make a habit of stunning your enemies so you can take them out one at a time.
    • Make use of blocking as well. If you can master the Counter Attack technique, even better!
    • Bullets chip away at Monkey's shield before it does so to his health. Melee attacks however will damage you unless you block them.
    • The Focused Attack is very useful against the Boxer and Electro Mechs. Save these attacks often and unleash them when you're in a bind. If every hit connects to a enemy, they will almost always die in one attack.
    • If you have damage upgrades for your Plasma Blast, consider using it to clear out groups of enemies if you have the ammo

The trophy is unlocked during the Credits.

  • Beat Pigsy to the top of the Decaying Titan.

Occurs in the beginning of Chapter 10.

You will have to race that cheating S.O.B. Pigsy to the top of the Decaying Titan. Pretty straightforward, though if you're having trouble, take note of the route you're gonna take, memorize it, then restart the checkpoint and run through it again.

Show Pigsy how embarrassing it is to lose even with the aid of a grappling hook and you'll earn yourself the trophy during the following cutscene.

  • Rescue Trip from the Dog in less than 36 seconds.

Occurs at the end of Chapter 9,

You'll reach your first chase section in the game in which you have to chase the Dog on your Cloud (Hover Board) before Trip gets carried off and mauled to death (you'll see this cutscene quite a few times). Make sure to keep your speed up using the Blue Speed Orbs. Miss even one, and you'll probably have to start over. Right when the Dog enters the cave and a reticue appears on him, you will only have a few seconds to take him down before you miss the time limit.

The trophy should unlock during the cutscene that follows if you reached the time limit; you'll know you've earned it when the save icon appears on the bottom right corner of your screen.

If you don't think you've reached the time limit (check with a stopwatch or the video), reload your last checkpoint before the cutscene and try again. If during the cutscene it hasn't unlocked, quit to the XMB and try again. That way, the game won't save and you won't have to replay the chapter all over again.

The trophy is pretty much impossible on Hard as the Dog runs way too fast. Attempt this trophy on Easy, and the Dog will run much slower.

  • Rescue Trip from the Rhino in less than 35 seconds.

Occurs at the end of Chapter 11, just right after the Rhino fight.

Similar to the chase with the Dog, make sure you're hitting every Blue Orb possible in order to maintain speed. If you're trying to go for the Red Orbs, do it on another run through. The path is much more straightforward compared to the Dog's so you shouldn't have much trouble.

Again, attempt this on Easy, as its next to impossible to do it on Hard. The Rhino will run much slower, allowing you more time to catch up to him.

Again, restart your checkpoint if you don't think you've made the time. If during the following cutscene you didn't earn yourself the trophy, quit to the XMB and try again.

The trophy will unlock in the following cutscene; you'll know you've earned it when the save icon appears on the bottom right corner of your screen.

  • Sneak past a group of enemies without alerting them.

In Chapter 3 near the beginning, you'll come across a section where Trip suggests you sneak past a group of Mechs rather than confront them. Jump on top of the truck and make your way across the wooden platforms. When Trip needs your help jumping over a gap, do so and be prepared to haul her back up (such a nuisance right?). After you get to the other side, Trip will comment on how that was "Too close". The trophy should unlock right after.

NOTE: There is a lone Orb that you will not be able to get if you skip this part. Replay the chapter after the trophy unlocks if you wish to get it now.

Tyger7 shows you how to do it in the second sneaking section in Chapter 2:

  • Kill the Rhino without getting hit by his Charge Attack.

Occurs at the end of Chapter 11.

An easy way to do this is by going around the arena, making good use of the camera, using it simultaneously as you hover around the place. The Rhino should never be able to hit you as long as you ensure the camera never faces the him when you're trying to get away. Some people have reported that a "wait and dodge at the last minute" method works better for them. Either way works.

When you get to the second part of the battle with the Burner's, position yourself slightly to the left or right of a Burner to allow yourself some leeway before the Rhino charges at you. As soon as you see the Rhino lowers his hood, that's your cue to hover away. If you've finished the Rhino off without taking any damage, the trophy will unlock during the following cutscene.

If at anytime you mess up, restart your checkpoint.

The AI's difficulty is much easier on Easy, so if you're having trouble on Hard, replay this chapter at a later time on Easy.

  • Knock an enemy back into a mine.

This trophy can be easily gotten in Chapter 2, when you’re at the part where you have to tread through a mine infested area a second time. There will be a lone Mech that you'll face as you make your way. Instead of defeating him, use this time to use a Swipe Attack + to knock him back into a mine. The swipe attack doesn't do any damage, so just spam it till you get it.

  • Distract 20 different enemies.

Use to Shout/Distract enemies during battle. Enemies that were firing at Trip should now be firing at you. Trip has to be near you or targeted in order for it to work. You know Trip is being targeted when the lower left corner of your HUD flashes red. Simply do this 20 times and the trophy should unlock.

The first time you can do this will be during Chapter 2. As long as you remember to Shout (think of it like a battle cry) every time you engage enemies, you'll earn this trophy as early as Chapter 3.

A distract counts both during Decoy sections of the game and regular battles.

  • Stun 75 different enemies.

There are a number of ways to stun enemies in the game:

    1. One way is by using Stun Blast on enemies.
    2. The other way is done by using a Charged Melee Attack, done by holding till the staff glows, and then releasing.
    3. A third way is using a Takedown on a Electro Mech
    4. Trip's EMP (thanks for the heads up purifico)

Stun 75 different enemies using a combination of the above 3 methods and the trophy will unlock.

An easy way to ensure you get this on your first playthrough is to stun every enemy you face. That way, you can be guaranteed to earn this trophy by the time you beat the game.

If you have been stunning every enemy you've encountered, you should unlock this trophy around Chapter 8 or 9.

  • Kill a Broadcaster with 1 second left on the clock.

Broadcasters are the Mechs that call for reinforcements. Once they attempt a call, a countdown will appear on top of their heads.

On Easy, their countdown starts at 40 seconds. On Hard, you only get 15 seconds.

An easy way to do this if you're having trouble on Hard is to start Chapter 3 on Easy with a fully upgraded Plasma Shot. During the sneaking session in the beginning of the chapter, instead of sneaking past the group of enemies, make scrap metal outta these Mechs until one of them attempts a radio call. Kill off the others, sparing this one Mech and as soon as the countdown reaches 01, Stun the guy, then one-shot him with a Plasma Shot for the trophy.

Thanks to Cheattaro for reminding me that countdowns can be stopped by stunning the enemy.

  • Use the Bomb Takedown to kill 2 enemies.

During Chapter 5, when you finally reach the top of the bridge, Trip will scan the area and mention a Mech where if you "Damage its core, it'll self destruct". Get to the Mech, damage it until the option for a Takedown comes up, and press . Wait for the 2 other enemies to get close to you and as soon as they're in the blast radius, release and the explosion should take care of them, unlocking your trophy.

Chapter 13 is also another great place to attempt this since you'll face several of these Mechs.

Mechs that can be Bomb Takedown'd are labeled with a Flame icon.

  • Use the Gun Scout Hijack Takedown to kill 10 enemies.

You'll encounter these Scout Mechs in Chapter 3. During another Decoy section, Trip will mention a Mech with a detachable gun arm. Make your way up to the Mech, damage him till a Takedown option becomes available, then use his gun and kill enemies with it. Remember it's to kill 10 enemies using their Gun, not Takedown 10 of of these enemies.

You'll encounter a lot more of these as you progress, so don't worry if you don't get it then.

Note that Gun Scout Mechs have a Green Reticule atop of their heads.

  • Stun 3 enemies at once with a Radial Stun Blast.

Stun Effect (Staff Upgrade)- Requires 22,500 Tech Orbs

For this trophy, you will need the Stun Effect upgrade. Once you’ve purchased it, simply just wait till 3 or more Mechs are near each other, and fire away.

You'll get this rather easily as you play through the game, probably earning it before you know what you did!

  • Kill 25 shielded enemies with a Stun Blast then Plasma Blast combo.

Stun Blast: , obtained in Chapter 3.
Plasma Blast: , obtained in Chapter 2.

Attempt this trophy once you've purchased the Plasma Damage Upgrades.

To earn this trophy, look for Shielded Enemies and use a Stun Blast on them, then upon doing so switch to your Plasma Blast and blast them. Kill 25 enemies using this process and the trophy should pop right up.

A great place to grind this is during the beginning of Chapter 11, as you'll face a number of these enemies not to mention tons of ammo all over the place. Before killing off the last few Mech's, kill yourself (so that your kills save) and repeat.

  • Kill 200 enemies.

Should come naturally on your first playthrough. If you have been diligently killing every enemy you encountered, you should unlock it before you finish the game.

For reference, I earned this trophy during Chapter 8, mainly cause I've been dying a lot...

  • Perform 20 Counter Attacks.

Counter Attack (Combat Upgrade): Press the moment Monkey successfully Blocks an attack.

For this, you will need to purchase the technique for 45,000 Tech Orbs. Once you have it, look for opportunities against the Mechs to use it on. It's hard to get the timing at first, but keep at it and you'll reach the 20 that's required for the trophy to unlock. Remember to press immediately as soon as you block the attack.

A good opportunity I found to do this was during Chapter 3, where you get the Stun Blast you should face 4 enemies. Make use of the covers/blockades in such a way that the Mechs won't go around and chase you but instead stay still. Use this time to practice and perfect your timing.

  • Kill 3 enemies with a penetrating Plasma Blast.

Plasma Penetration (Staff Upgrade): Requires 35,500 Tech Orbs.

One of the trickier trophies to earn. Once you’ve bought the upgrade for your Plasma Blast, find an opportunity where you can line up 3 Regular Mechs, and shoot them with a Stun Blast. Take aim nice and quick with the Plasma Blast and try your best to one shot all 3.

A great place to do so is during Chapter 6, when you're making your way towards Trip. You'll reach an area with bridges connecting to several islands. Lure a group of enemies to the bridge and try your best to line them up using Stun Blasts. Kill all 3 with one Plasma Blast and the trophy should pop.

  • Perform 20 Evade Attacks that hit an enemy.

    Evade: +
    Evade Attack
(Combat Upgrade): Press during an evade. Timing changes the type of Evade Attack performed.

When facing an enemy, use an Evade and during the Evade, press to perform an Evade Attack. If you wish, you can spam the move on an enemy till you get the trophy. Perform this 20 times and the trophy will unlock.

  • Complete a chapter without dying (Except Chapter 1).

You will most likely earn this as you're going back through the chapters on Easy, looking for the Orbs that you may have missed. If you want to earn it right away though, a good place to do so would be in Chapter 6. There are no Shooting Mechs, no Bosses, no platforming sections in which you can fall off in this chapter, plus it's a relatively short level.

If you somehow get killed, feel free to restart your checkpoint as it doesn't affect the trophy.

  • Rescue Trip 3 times after she has performed an EMP.

You’ll most likely earn this as trophy as you progress through the story. Trip uses an EMP whenever Mechs try to have their way with her, either because you were too busy fending off the other Mechs or you really just wanted her to die (like me). You'll know she's used an EMP indicated by the HUD on the bottom left of your screen (it'll be "blinking" letting you know that an EMP has been used and is charging).

Once she uses an EMP, kill off the Mech that targeted her. Destroying the Mech is considered a rescue. Repeat this 3 times for the trophy!

  • Complete a Chapter without losing any health.

For an easy time with this trophy, replay a chapter using Chapter Select on Easy difficulty.

This trophy is easiest to earn in Chapter 1 since its a quick and easy stage with relatively low enemies. Remember bullets always take off your shield before it does so to your health. Melee attacks always take off health except when you block. Also note that stepping in fires and getting hit by the engines also counts as getting hit.

Since some people have been reporting that the trophy isn't unlocking them for Chapter 1, try it again on Chapter 6 (like I suggested for Invincible) or on Chapter 9 (suggested by Mitsuru Kirijo). In Chapter 9, you can defeat all of the enemies from range using Stun Blasts and Plasma Shots. It is worth mentioning that the damage you receive when you're on the boat does not count as damage done to Monkey.

Again, similar to Invincible, restarting a checkpoint also works. Just make sure that if you get hit, restart your checkpoint quickly so a save doesn't occur.

  • Purchase all Upgrades.

You won't be able to access the Upgrade Menu until 3/4 way through Chapter 2. The Upgrade Menu is accessed through , on the bottom option. Tech Orbs are located around the stages in each chapter for you to collect and are also dropped by enemies. If you have been getting most if not all of the Orbs during your first playthrough, you will have just about enough for all the upgrades.

Purchase all upgrades for Monkey to unlock this trophy, unlocking Shielded from Harm, Fighting Fit, Tough as They Come, and Check My Weapon! along the way. There will be a slight delay for the trophy to pop up after you've purchased everything, so just wait around in-game (not in the menu) till it unlocks.

  • Purchase all Health Upgrades.

Purchase all of the following Health Upgrades and the trophy will unlock:

Fortunately, unlike most games, this game allows you to check your Tech Orbs collection progress in the Chapter Select menu. At the moment though, I don’t have videos that show the locations of each Orb. Once I do though, I’ll post it.

See Tech Orb Location Tips for locations for some of the easily missable Orbs.

DLC: Pigsy's Perfect 10

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Find all the parts to build Perfect 10

    Story related, cannot be missed.

Earned in chapter Twelve (The Furnace).

If you are in trouble vision, the red glowing objects are the ones you need to shoot. The blue is a no go. This may take a few tries. Use the trouble vision to locate the next target quickly. If you see the save icon on the bottom right once you complete the shooting practice that means you did it under the time and should have the trophy.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Ally a single Mech 2 times.

You will obtain the ally gadget in chapter nine (Organized Chaos). The ally gadget lets you turn enemies into allies for a brief amount of time. You first use it on a mech, but after you head towards a turret. Use the ally gadget twice on the same turret to get this trophy. Press to equip the gadget. Press then to place the gadget on the floor, after press to use the gadget. Repeat once more to get this trophy.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Stun 5 enemies using one single EMP device.

The hardest trophy of the set you will have to obtain. Once you reached a chapter called under attack, you will get into a fight with a set of Mechs, clearing those set of mechs and climbing up to a level that you can pull to turn on the turret. Leave it alone and fight off the following waves:

Wave(1) 4 Melee Mechs. Take them all out. Please see Four Birds, One Stone before proceeding
Wave(2) 2 Melee Mechs and a machine gunner. Take the gunner out and stun the 2 melee mechs. You should kill them from a distance.
Wave(3) 2 Melee Mechs, 1 Shield and 2 Machine gunners. This is where the hard part takes place. One of the Machine gunners will not drop close enough so you will have to use a Decoy of Pigsy to draw them close together. Stun the ones that are falling from the big mech in the sky. Once you gain the Stun back and have them close use the stun again and the trophy will be yours.

    Alternative better method:

    Do not activate the turret.
During the first wave of the Under Attack chapter, Allow the first wave of four mechs to get really close, right up on the platform that the turret and Pigsy is on. Once the four mechs are close use the stun bomb on them ( ) Make sure the mechs are close to the turret before throwing the stun bomb. Hitting the turret and the 4 mechs making five the trophy should pop. Thanks to Moving On for the method.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Ally 4 enemies using one single Ally device.

As soon as you reach The Refinery chapter, there will be a shielded Mech. Use the ally gadget on him. After he is your ally, 3 mechs will run towards him to fight. Switch to the stun gadget and throw it at them. As soon as they are stunned run up and switch back to the ally gadget and use it on the four mechs that are now stunned. This trophy has a little delay. The four mechs should turn purple.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Kill 4 Mechs with 1 Bomb device.

Once you reached a chapter called Under Attack, you will have to fight off a set of machine gun mechs to reach the top and find a lever to activate the turret. Once you reach the top and finish off all the machine gun mechs, leave the lever alone and turn around you will see a wave of 4 melee mechs come towards you. Throw a decoy Pigsy at the lower level (one below where you are standing) when the mechs get close. Throw a Stun bomb at them and then run close to them (into the middle of them). Use the bomb on them all. The trophy should pop once all the mechs are dead with one bomb. The save icon will come up. You can also get the Stunning trophy in that area.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Use all 4 devices on one enemy.

In Chapter Ten (Old School Mayhem) there will be a section right after you have destroyed a turret. There will be 3 mechs coming out of a door. One with a shield and two with machine guns. Kill two of them and leave one alone. The one that should still be alive is the Machine gun mech. Follow the this so you get it with ease. Use the gadgets clockwise from the decoy of Pigsy and the bomb last.

    • Throw the decoy of Pigsy to the ground with and then
    • Use the Stun to Stun the single enemy with and then
    • After the mech is stunned use the ally gadget to make him your ally with and then . After the ally gadget is planted on the ground, activate it with
    • Once he is your ally he should still be stunned use the bomb, be quick set the bomb down With and then and hen run to set the bomb off with .

The trophy should pop up soon after.

  • Pigsy's Perfect 10: Collect all hidden food and pin-up girls.

This link should help with finding the Food and the pin-up girls.

Collectible Location Guide - Dinner Date By: qasic

Finding the Collectibles is a lot easier to find than the orbs. Using trouble vision makes it a lot easier to collect the pin-up girls, as all you need to do is go close to them. To get the food items just walk/run over them. There are 12 pin-up girls and 27 hidden food items. When you find a hidden food item or Pin-up girl it will glow in a green metallic color when using trouble vision .

Important information: If you die after getting an hidden food item or pin-up girl you will have to track back to the item again. Some checkpoints do not save the items you get when you reach them and die. So always remember what your last item was, so you can check to see if you still have it after you die.
