Tempest Trophy in Dishonored

  • Tempest

You killed 6 enemies in less than 1 second

    How to unlock Tempest

Note: The popular "Pile" method, is a waste of time because the game will always despawn 1 or 2 bodies before you get back with the 6th and make this trophy needlessly frustrating.

To reliably unlock this trophy you will need Bend Time (level 2). There are a few special locations that you can kill 6 or more people instantly with a grenade or whale oil drum but they are unreliable and luck based. For the best method, see the following video by PowerPyx:

  • Easiest way to get this is in Mission 8 (mild spoilers). Do the optional objective and have the improved arc pylon knock out all enemies. After that, gather up 6+ unconscious bodies, pile them up and either use Bend Time 2 and go to town on them, or throw some springrazors on them and set them off with a grenade. Shadow Kill 2 helps a lot with this as well.
  • i got this by pure coincidence during normal gameplay. in lady boyles last party mission during the start after you get off the boat, the bone charm directly in front of you is in a building thats filled with weepers. I entered the building from teh back alley and going through the top floor and after getting the bone charm used the stairs to leave the building. at the bottom floor is a pack of weepers. i actually only saw three so i threw a grenade downstairs and after blowing them up got the trophy. i was confused cause i thought this would of been much harder and i only killed 3. but once i hit the bottom floor there were actually 7 weepers and the others where just in a blind spot.
  • the problem for me is that when i strangle more than 5 people, bodies disappear ! i just can't get 6 sleeping people together, although i've had plenty opportunities to have 8+ sleepers... after 5 the first ones disappear... stupid trophy with such stupid rules...! 1 of the last trophies i'm missing...
  • problem solved by both luck and this great video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEI-xDBMLMU&feature=youtu.be i've been trying to get "tempest" and "harm's way" for hours, but with the tips mentionned in this video, i got'em in no time ! :-)
  • Similarly to #2 & #4, I got it in the same place...entered the building through the entrance (need to sneak past the tallboys) and knocked the walking watchman out. Carried him in, froze time and threw him at the weepers at the bottom of the stairs. Threw a grenade, unfroze time and they all blew up. Bring the watchmen as there may only be 5 weepers rather than six.
  • I also got it in mission 8, except I knocked out 4 guards, laid em out in a pile, then got myself chased. When two guards came near the bodies i froze time and tossed a grenade, killing all of them (2 alive guards + 4 unconscious guards)
  • In mission 8 I stopped at the exit of the abandoned apartment. I kept to the bush at the end of the first flight of stairs. Using the corner peak I threw grenades at the tall boy to the immediate left of me until it was dead. it didn't give my position away and 8-10 guys came from everywhere to check what was up. after a few more baiting crossbow bolts to the ground below me i stopped time and had fun.
  • I got this one yesterday by accident. In the very first mission, I went to do the Granny Rags missions. When I entered the distillery, I summoned rats in the center of the area (where the two guys are talking about Daud). All the enemies will come running to try and kill the rats (I know it's at least 6 of them). When they were all huddled together, trying to stomp the rats, I threw a grenade. :D The trophy popped up, and I had no idea this was a trophy.
  • The first courtyard of Mission 2 (before the first Wall Of Light) is a good place to knock out 5 guys and dump them in a pile. Then just set a canister of whale oil on top of them and get a 6th guy to chase you. Run over the pile of unconscious guys, then turn around and shoot the whale oil as the 6th is running over it.
  • @ #3 I had same problem, it seems, at least at this spot in begining of mission 4, you can't put more than 5 to sleep without the sixth one disappearing. Easy workaround is to just pile up the 5 guys, then go back to the red alarm thing and ring the bell. Two more guys will appear at the other end. Get their attention, and once they get close to the pile, freeze time, toss grenade, shoot em with crossbow, whatever. I actually picked it back up and just held on to the f'n grenade and stood on the pile while the two other guys just attacked me. Got all seven. One extra don't hurt.
  • To piggyback on Comment #10 - You can knock all 6 out but MAKE SURE ALL OF THE GUARDS ARE IN VIEW! If you let them out of your sight or try to pick one up, one will disappear. Once all 6 guards are down, Bend Time 2 and toss grenades at the pile, making sure all 6 guards are still in sight and the trophy should pop once they explode.
  • I got it easily yesterday in Chapter 7: The flooded district. This must be done on High Chaos, otherwise it's not possible. After completing Granny Rag's/Slackjaw's part, you enter into a place that has a lot of infected people. What I did was let me see, get surrounded and use Bending Time level 2. After that, with explossive bullets, just made 2 shots that destroyed everyone (with the crossbow you can miss).
  • Was having trouble with this one as I couldn't get 6 people "knocked out" to use Time Bend. So instead, on the Royal Physician at the start, I knocked out the 4 guards immediately before they were able to set off the alarm. Piled them together, surrounded them with a bunch of spring razors and then set off the alarm. The two additional guards run towards you pretty much together so the spring razors they set off will get both of them and the 4 sleeping guards. Presto - 6 kills immediately.
  • Woooow, the mission select option doesn't bring all your weapons and abillities you gathered during the whole game. Wow, that's just weird and ridiculous.
  • I did this during mission 4, like the guide said i Stunned the 4 guards and piled them up, but the 6th was always disappearing so i tried something new. I planted Springrazors on each of the unconscious guards in the pile, then sounded the alarm. I went over and got the other two guards attention and slowly walked backwards blocking their attacks to lead them to the pile at the same time. They set of the Springrazors and the Trophy popped. Worked like a charm.
  • Piling 4 and then ringing the alarm to summon the other two and using a grenade while in Stop time was the only effective method to work around the "short-therm memory loss" of the game which wouldn't let me pile more than 5.
  • The easiest way to complete this one is in the eight mission: The Loyalists. When Piero asks about if you want to stun or kill all the enemies with the Arc Pylon at the Hound Pits Pub, you'll have to choose to stun them. Then you can just collect the sleeping guards and pile them up and not worry about them disappearing while you do so.
  • Video-guide of Dishonored to get the achievement or trophy Tempest. For this, first me must make sure we have 10 tranquilizer darts and select mission 2. We must gather together 5 enemies with explosive barrels and lure a 6th one to blow up it and get rid of them. It doesn't matter if we die or not. we'll get the achievement anyway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWkn31hJg8c
  • best video for my and easiest way to do both tempest and hornets nest if you have prblem in this location with tampest just gather them near a corner and throw some granades https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQFKJpDrWtU
  • just do same things as i said for hornest trophy, make them sleep and throw a grenade, lol very easy,
  • My sleeping enemies keep despawning, really annoying..
  • How are you suppoesed to get this trophy if it only allows 5 bodies to be on screen at once? In just keeps disapearing if you subdue/kill another enemy.
  • I got this during the Lady Boyle's Last Party mission. On my way toward the bone charm, that is off to the right, (before heading toward the party) protected by two Tallboys and a guard, you'll enter in the lower level after disposing of the above enemies in your own way. Upon entering the archway, the game will autosave. After the autosave you'll see a weeper climb the stairs, best to take him out before getting the trophy, I did, and when you do, don't alert the other 6 in the room or you'll probably have to reload your save. I took out the lone weeper mentioned above, froze time with Bend Time Lvl 1, cooked a grenade, and threw it right in the middle of the weepers. They all blew to bits and the trophy was awarded.
  • I got this trophy really easy after just a few tries from saving. Chapter select 'lady boyles last party' and at the start get the heart out and make your way towards the first bone charm you see. If you go in through the top it is easier...
  • Once you have the bone charm go back through the door which leads to the stairs and as you make your way down kill the first zombie with a crossbow...then keep going down until you get to where all the rest of the zombs are nd just waddle around them til theyre all together trying to munch on you then throw a bomb right where you are and you should get it. Worked for me no problem.
  • Correction it is the first bone charm on the right when you can begin to move on the boat.
