Perfect Freeflow 2.0 Trophy in Batman: Arkham City

  • Perfect Freeflow 2.0

Perform a perfect combo including all of Batman's combat moves (any play mode)

How to unlock Perfect Freeflow 2.0

In any combat encounter where an enemy is carrying a weapon, or in the Riddler’s Revenge challenge maps, you can earn this trophy. You must use 13 different moves in the same combo in order for it to count. If you get hit once, you have to start over. The moves are as follows, note that you can do the moves in any order, not necessarily as listed:

    • Strike
    • Stun:
    • Evade Over Enemy:
    • Counter:
    • Special Combo: Takedown: +
    • Special Combo: Bat Swarm: +
    • Special Combo: Disarm And Destroy: +
    • Special Combo: Multi-Ground Takedown: +
    • Aerial Attack: , ,
    • Beat Down Finisher: , (repeatedly)
    • Ultimate Stun: , ,
    • Ground Pound: +
    • Any Quickfire Gadget (See below in Gadget Attack)

The best map to attempt this on is the Joker's Carnival DLC map, which you will have by default on PS4. The enemies in this map enter gradually, so you'll have plenty to complete this trophy without being swamped. If you do not have this, Survival of the Fittest (Extreme) on the final round is the best option.

The trophy will unlock as soon as you execute a combo with all 13 moves in it.

  • I was hoping not to see this trophy again...
  • probably be more moves too
  • This Trophy will be easy. Freeflow perfection was really easy in Arkham Asylum once I got pretty good at the combo challenges.
  • I am all for this trophy going away. I guess my reflexes are getting slow in my old age????
  • @3...brag about something that betters yourself and others...not trivial things like skill in a video game (especially against A.I.) I have to agree with 1, 4...I didn't even bother in the first game and I definately won't in this one since there are double the moves of the first pretty much.
  • I'm staying clear of this game only because of that trophy... and I didn't even bother with B:AA because of it either... I would like to but I have other games I need to play
  • @ #6: It truly is a shame to skip on an incredibly well made game because 1 or 2 trophies might possibly stop you from getting 100%. The trophy is doable in both games, just takes some practice.
  • @5 really? dont brag about video games?? lol dude were all gamers here and the only reason to get trophies... is to brag... its called prestige
  • i havent platted batman aa yet becos of this trophy, but i aint gay enough to say i aint gonna by such a good game becos of it, i have MP level 50 trophies, if uncharted 3 has it im still buying it!!!!, if ya buy games just for triohies, stick to the hannah montanas
  • This is how to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fexIuFnUAJs
  • the game is too eye candy to complain
  • The trophy isn't that tough to get, just try to find a group of all regular enemies, like 6-8 of them and just start varying moves as early in the fight as possible. Don't forget ground takedown and ultra stun and you should be fine. Took me about an hour to do it last night and my reflexes aren't incredible. It's definitely doable with practice and I didn't find it annoying to get at all
  • @8 well said
  • i mean number 9
  • i don't even know how to do it if you guys did it can you tell me how to do it??
  • You have to mix in every one of Batman's combat moves in one continuous combo. The moves I did are: Quickfire batclaw slam (L1+Triangle followed by Square) Quickfire batarang Quickfire explosive gel Quickfire REC (L1+Circle) Quickfire Freeze Blast Strike Counter Evade Stun UltraStun Ground Takedown Aerial Attack (Circle+X+X towards stunned opponent) Beat Down Combo Disarm Combo Takedown Combo Bat Swarm Multi Ground Takedown If you did it correctly you should have gadget variation x5 and combat variation x12 as your bonuses at the end of the fight. Now I'm not sure if you need to use all the gadgets but that's what I did to make sure I got the trophy.
  • Gotta say this felt easier than last time. Just pause the game each time you need to remember and look at #16's list. That's what I did and got it done in about a half hour. I did use a quick freeze throw on the last guy for good measure, but it was also the first time I got it right so no word on that little bit. I did it on rooftop rumble stage 4. A good little piece of advise is to get the super stun out of the way to start the combo since it's probably the hardest next to the ground takedown to get in there, which you should do after deploying the batswarm since everyone is stunned.
  • You don't need the gadgets, just the 12 moves mentioned by ChaoticKnuckles.
  • practice makes perfect......and Im the Perfect knight.......totally achievable...not too tough not too easy though
  • FYI beat down finisher can be done on anyone and is not necessary to be X8 strikes.....combo batarang is more effective and easier to use than batclaw and is a must
  • I HATE that trophy, its fucking hard.
  • Got it after 30 minutes trying on "Natural selection" (Extreme map). They hardest moves to pull IMO are those that involve Stun and the Ground pound because they might leave you wide open for another opponent to take you on, I found really useful to launch a Bat swarm before doing any of those which are Ultimate stun, Aerial attack, Beatdown and Ground pound. If you combine the swarm with any of those moves (except Beatdown) you'll have a less painful run. For Beatdown I preffer to leave it for the last few opponents, knock out all but one and finish the fight with a Beatdown, safer and easy.
  • You can interrupt a beatdown with a counter and then finish it and it still counts if that helps anyone. You're never wide open when using the beatdown if you're fast enough. Another reason that it's my favorite combat move in the game.
  • This trophy is highly aggravating with how glitchy this combat is. Will Rocksteady ever learn?
  • @24...I don't think the combat is glitchy at all. The controls are incredibly responsive. Any missed combat moves are likely poor timing on your part. Most game developers would kill for a combat system as smooth as this. Judging by the number of people that have chimed in and earned this trophy, I would say it's probably not the combat engine that is to blame here. This trophy is not easy, but it's certainly not because the combat in the game is "glitchy"...it just requires correct timing for each move and there isn't a lot of room for error.
  • a good tip for this trophy is to have a list of all the 13 attacks that you have to do (i've done a list with a pc ) when you have done one of that attack, pause the game and sign on your list the attack you have done. that is useful to remind you the moves you left. Another tip is to keep doing the evade moves (X,X) to keep you combo active and dodge some attacks. Sorry for my english.... hope I've help you guys!
  • I haven't nailed this just yet but I've done 10x variations lots and 11x a few times. And I haven't even really focused on getting it yet. But I have been using exactly the same pattern through the combo in nearly every combat challenge. As a result, getting 10x variation is a slam dunk now. Which I think is the best way to approach the thing. Start practicing the combo the instant you start the challenges. My method is as follows: Counter to start because it's easy to forget. Redirect Stun Redirect and hit until Yellow Batarang Bat Swarm Ground Takedown (You're more than halfway in 30 seconds) Redirect and hit until Yellow Disarm and Destroy Redirect and hit until Yellow Instant Takedown Redirect and hit until Yellow Batarang Multi-Ground Takedown Redirect and hit until
  • Yellow Bat Swarm Aerial Attack There's the ten I can nail consistently. What happens then is I get so focused on completing the room I forget about getting the Beat Down and Ultra Stun in. But the plan is to wipe everyone but two guys out, using Critical Strikes, then Bat Swarm, Ultra Stun one guy, Beat down the other there's the trophy. :D I know. Easier said than done. But there is a repeatable strategy for folks that are struggling. I honestly think the trick to think trophy is using exactly the same pattern every time so you don't really have to think about what you're doing. And slow down and stop button mashing. There is really lots of time.
  • WTF...once again. I hated this trophy and I still hate it now more than ever...and now even with more moves??? C'mon....This will take long, a lot of patience and time...and a lot of bad words too!!!
  • Sorry guys but I disagree, getting this trophy did take a while... alot of trial and error and I had to get a good system in place. That just made it all the more satisfying to get! Now I can do this trophy anytime, as I proved at a mate's not long ago who was struggling... 2 attempts and I got it for him. Take your time, work out a system or which move you will do and when, and you should get it just fine!!!
  • One of the hardest to get trophies ever, I get it on my 9th attempt, and I thought that it would be an easy challange consider that I've got the AA version pretty easly (at my 4th attempt)... WRONG!
  • The annoying thing is when a henchman twats you round the back of the head but you never saw it coming as he runs in behind you off screen. I've had plenty of x10 and x11 but I can never get that bloody ground pound in without getting smacked. Bring back the triple batarang, that helped wonders on AA.
  • @10 Thanks for the video, while I used a slightly different order because I felt more comfortable with the flow, it listed all the moves I needed and gave me an idea of how to string them together. Bat Swarm is a HUGE help to get some of the more time consuming hits, like ground pound, beat down, and aerial attack. The key is not starting those moves until you are certain there is plenty of room to finish and counter the next thug. Also, don't forget a quick batarang can keep a combo going in a pinch (which you need at least one anyhow).
  • If I ever meet the **** who came up with the idea for this trophy, Im gonna staple his balls to his notepad and scream....NO MORE YOU UNBELIEVABLE ****!!!!!
  • I like this trophy as it separates the plebs from the people who can actually play this game
  • Once you start the combat challenges it's just a matter of practice. I found more difficult in the first game in fact, in this game you have some time to spare between hits to think about your next move and a little slow motion in the middle of special moves for looking around and see your surroundings. To get the trophy you don't need every gadget, just one at you election. I chose the batarang and the rest of normal/special moves in The Joker's Carnival map (DLC) in which the enemies never stop appearing and it popped naturally. Patience and good reflexes and the trophy is yours.
  • this is just practice in the joker level, list the moves you need to do in the order you like,so you remember what moves are left to do
  • The moves list is wrong. Normal stun isn't required and you MUST use batarang, that's all 12 moves. Other gadgets doesn't count, I kept getting 11 all the time, after changed to try with batarang I got the trophy right away.
  • Wow, ok so after taking a couple weeks off from the game I came back to try for this trophy again and was able to get it. I used the Joker's Carnival map which helped alot for me because I found it harder to get the Disarm and Destroy combo on the Survival of the Fittest level that was suggested in the Trophy Guide. My advise, be patient of course. But really for me what helped was to get the Ground Pound out of the way first by using the Bat Swarm on the first set of guys since they kind of were grouped together. I was able to get the rest of the moves without much trouble after like 5 attempts.
  • I DID IT !! Just a few moments ago. I even placed the batman begins music sound track while I was doing it.. I can do it for anyone who asks me whithin this week.. I will need to delete the game due to low space on my hard disk.. I feel so proud of myself it only took me 3 hours to get used to the moves then it was all in my head omg guys you should have all been there to see it.. :') I'm the best at batman for this moment I reckon .. Tomorrow is another day ^^ pm ASAP if you need help with this trophy I'm on a role.
  • This has to have a glich, i have all the hits on the ROND STATISTICS and the trophie never poped, it my last trophie 37 Strike 1 Splecial Combo Bat Swarm 2 Special Combo Multi grond Takedown 2 Special Combo Takedown 1 Beat Down Finisher 1 Special Combo Disarn and Destroy 4 Conter 1 Grond Pound 1 Aerial Attack ! Batclaw Slam 16 Stun 3 Ultra Stun 29 Riderect 1 Combo Batarang 3 Batclaw Pull 2 Rec 5 Freeze Blast What am i missing?
  • I will never ever even attempt this trophy.
  • Don't get me wrong, but I just feel like I need to share this: first attempt, round 3 of "Survival of the fittest". Barely three minutes. :P It's also true that I did it on the 360 version a year ago, though. I mean, I think it's one hell of a stupidity to be afraid of this trophy. No offense. It's just about a little practice.
  • No way I would have been able to get this without Penguin's Iceberg Lounge.
  • If you can do this in AA you can do this one you only need to add three more moves & once you do it you do it everytime just like in AA BTW i just got this
  • Oh yes!!!!! I finally got this after an hour of trying now that Platinum is for sure mine!!!!
  • I hate this trophy.
  • I can't hit 7-8. Grrr. Very awkward.
  • @3 nooo... This is impossible ive been trying it forever. Quit being irritating
  • couldn't do in AA,so don't think I will manage in this
  • This, IMO, is a lot easier to pull off than in AA. This is mainly because you only have to utilize a single quickfire gadget (I played it safe and used batclaw, REC, and batarang). I used the Carnival DLC, as suggested. One tip I can definitely give is get ground take-down and beatdown out of the way ASAP. Otherwise, you're going to get too overwhelmed to successfully do those moves.
  • It's truly not that hard (though I can imagine I'm no longer speaking to the masses). I just got it on Round 3 of Survival of the Fittest (though it came down to the wire). The beatdown also doesn't have to be specifically 8 hits, it counted my 3 hit beatdown - I guess as long as it's a beatdown of however many hits makes it ok for the trophy, so long as they're taken down by it.
  • The normal stun (cricle) doesn't count for this trophy, but the Batclaw slam is needed. I have tried to get this stupid trophies for hours always ending up with a 11x bonus. Until I figured out that I need to do the Batclaw slam because a single stun doesn't add to the variation.
  • I agree with #51....get any move that leaves you vulnerable (beatdown / ground pound / ultra stun) done asap before you get swarmed on the Carnival DLC. I started with the beatdown on the guy closest to me...concentrated on getting the other 2 in then cycled through the take downs each time my combo built and threw a batarang at some point in the middle. If I can do it....anyone can ;)
  • After not getting this naturally, I went after it on the Joker's Carnival DLC... I did Aerial first, because something I kept doing during that attack would keep causing my combo to break and I never figured out what it was... Batarang, Evade, Strike, and Counter are all frequent...Two critical strikes + a Batarang = Special... Weapon Break is priority, then Multi-Ground Takedown... Special Takedown is used when I know there's an armor guy nearby... Batswarm is used mostly from then on if I don't see something like an armor guy or a weapon I want to get out of play... Super Cape Thing, Batswarm, Ground Pound is a good combo... Cape + Beatdown isn't that difficult, just pay attention for when to counter, you can go straight back to the beat down, and if you lose your ch
  • I wish we could customise the individual controls because both Disarm And Destroy and Multi-Ground Takedown are both really awkward to do.
