INTRODUCTION:

WRC 3 is the only official game of the World Rally Championships and has now made its way to the PS Vita. It is described as the "most complete rally game created - ever!"

There are 2 distinct game modes in WRC 3 for the Vita:

- WRC Experience puts you in the driving seat of a professional rally driver during the 2012 World Rally Championships season. Choose from over 50 drivers and race the official tracks, battling for pole position and the maximum number of points for each stage.

- WRC Online is an exciting multiplayer game mode that allows players to race Single Stage, Single Super Special Stage, Single Rally or a whole Championship via the PSN.

OFFLINE:

Step One - WRC Experience Mode (WRC)

Select WRC Experience Mode and play through with the WRC Cars. Choose "Dani Sordo" as your driver as this will be needed once you reach the championship in Spain. Before you start you first race you will need to change one of your settings by pressing :square:. You will only need to change one setting and save this to obtain another trophy, you do not have to even use it but may need it later for the online

You should easily be able to win every stage of every rally. This will enable you to achieve the following with little effort:-

  • The Engineer (B)
  • Until the last minute (B)
  • Heavy footed (S)
  • Yes, I can fly! (S)
  • Two for One (S)
  • It's a question of style, honey (S)
  • My land (S)
  • Brand New (G)
  • Around the world (G)
  • Number 1 (G)
  • Is my lucky year (G)

You will need to win certain stages by five seconds to unlock the following:-

  • As an ice skater (B)
  • Eat my dust! (B)
  • In the middle of the mud (B)
  • On the banks of Rhine (B)
  • Fly to the finish (B)
  • I have time for a picnic? (B)

Step Two - WRC Experience Mode (Class 2)

Repeat Step One however select "Class 2" as you're chosen championship.

Thanks to oscalioo for this quote:

Class 2 & 3 championships can be done with only two rallies with 3 stages in each.

I have tried it and can confirm.

Thanks to joco for confirming the way in which to do the above:

For those wondering how to reduce the stages and rallies you press the L button to reduce the stages and then press the R stick to the left to reduce rallies.

You can cut approx 2 hours off of your (P) time using this.

Once this has been completed you will earn:-

  • First (G)

Step Three - WRC Experience Mode (Class 3)

Repeat Step One however select "Class 3" as you're chosen championship.

Same as Step Two, once this has been completed you will earn:-

  • Winner (G)

Step Four - Individual Races

You will now need to complete individual races for individual trophies. Use S Loeb in the WRC Experience Mode, however, select individual races or stage to reflect the relevant trophy.

During this stage you will need to unlock:-

  • First of all (B)
  • Normal Routine (S)
  • When it rains, it pours (S)
  • Dry climate (S)

ONLINE:

Step Five - Compete against other users online to reach the required amount of valid racing time.

Should you require a boosting partner look HERE first. During this stage you will achieve:-

  • Be prepared (B)
  • All together! (S)
  • A celebrity of the network (G)

This should lead you to your new shiny (P).

TROPHY GUIDE

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/A05.jpgTwo for One (S)

Win at least two rallies in the same Championship in the WRC Experience mode.

**"See "It's my lucky year"**

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/AA8.jpgAll together! (S)

Reach 10 cumulative minutes of race in valid Online Matches

Self Explanatory - Your "in race" time can be tracked on the main online screen, this will tell you how much valid time you have. As soon as it ticks over 1hr the trophy will pop. Click HERE for boosting partners.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/D23.jpgBe prepared (B)

Win a Single Stage in any Online mode using a Personalised Set-Up

Only one setting will need to be changed slightly for this trophy to be obtained. To do this wait for your online lobby to be ready and press :triangle: to enter the settings screen. This needs to be done before confirming the race. Click HERE for boosting partners.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/D0E.jpgThe Engineer (B)

Save at least one personalised set-up in the Car Settings section of the race menu

Before starting the first race press :square: and change one setting slightly - Select "Save" and confirm.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/5F9.jpgUntil the last minute (B)

Repair your car using at least 50 minutes of time available in a repair session

Damage your car enough during the race so that at the and of it you use nearly all you 60 minutes to repair it. This should come naturally, just press :triangle: during the repair part, then :start: and It will automatically repair for you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/74F.jpgBrand New (G)

Win a Single Stage without damaging the car in the WRC Experience mode

This could prove as possibly the hardest trophy in the game. The best way I found to achieve this was on the special stage in Spain - "Coll de la Teixeta". Adjust your Gearbox settings to long & manual gears via :square: on the pre-race screen. When playing this track be sure to avoid all the barriers and keep changing between 2nd & 3rd gears (depending on the corner). There is a lot of handbrake turns so the majority of the track can be completed in 2nd.

This track is only approx 120 seconds (2mins) long and will need to be completed without your gear box going into the red. This way you avoid getting Damaged Valves.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/E7A.jpgAround the world (G)

Win the rallies of Monte Carlo, Wales and Spain in the same championship

You will get this as part of the main story line if you win every race. The trophy will pop after the last race in Spain.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/286.jpgHeavy footed (S)

Race at least 150 metres at 150 Km/h

**See "Yes, I can fly!"**

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/73F.jpgEat my dust! (B)

Win the Special Stage Pissia in the Acropolis Rally with more than 5 seconds remaining in the WRC Experience mode

Self Explanatory - This will come as part of the storyline whilst winning all races. Win by five seconds whilst racing this track in Greece.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/E8F.jpgAs an ice skater (B)

Win the Special Stage Col De Turini in the Rallye Monte-Carlo with more than 5 seconds remaining in the WRC Experience mode

Self Explanatory - This will come as part of the storyline whilst winning all races. Win by five seconds whilst racing this track in Monaco.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/3AC.jpgIn the middle of the mud (B)

Win the Special Stage Sweet Lamb in the Wales Rally GB with more than 5 seconds remaining in the WRC Experience mode

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/645.jpgIt's a question of style, honey (S)

Drift over the finishing line in any game mode

Simply press :cross: when you're closing in the finish line. You will need to cross the Finish Line sideways.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/D54.jpgMy land (S)

Win the RACC-Rally de Espana using Dani Sordo in the WRC Experience mode

If you followed the Roadmap and used this guy for your main WRC Experience Mode, then it will come as you progress. If not then select WRC Experience Mode, Single Race, Rally de Espana using this character.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/D09.jpgYes, I can fly! (S)

Do a jump that is at least 30 metres long

Easiest obtained while racing in Germany. The tracks at "Moselwein" or "Gusenburg" allow you to gain this and "Heavy footed" during the same sector. Simply be flat out during sector 4 and you should obtain both trophies fairly easily.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/3F1.jpgWhen it rains, it pours (S)

Win a Rally on wet in the Single Rally mode (Rallye de France–Alsace or Wales Rally GB)

Win the Special Stage Arena Panzerplatte in the ADAC Rallye Deutschland with more than 5 seconds remaining in the WRC Experience mode

Self Explanatory - Will come as part of the storyline whilst winning all races. Win by five seconds whilst racing this track in Germany.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1779/D1B.jpgI have time for a picnic? (B)

Win the Special Stage Santa Marina in the RACC-Rally de Espana with more than 5 seconds remaining in the WRC Experience mode

Thanks for good roapmap and trophyguide.

Made my platinum alot easier.

A suggestion would be to add that at least the Class 2 & 3 championships can be done with only two rallies with 3 stages in each.

I have tried and can confirm.

Thanks for that, I have added to the guide.

I would estimate that to take maybe 2 hours off the (P) time.....?

Any tips on vehicle setups for the speedruns? Saying "you'll get this naturally" is terrible advice. 2 of these speed run trophies are fuckin hard. What a ridiculous spike in difficulty right at the end.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just noticed you can change the difficulty, after I had already gotten every trophy in the game except the online and the 2 speed runs I was struggling with. Please mention in the road map that you can change the difficulty at the main menu options section. It will make it significantly easier on everyone and I highly, highly recommend changing difficulties. You'll noticed that the speed runs on the Germany and France tracks are much easier on a lower difficulty. This whole time I played through the game I wondered where the 1.5/10 difficulty came from because I was leaning towards a 3-4/10 but on easy difficulty, it's stupidly easy. The campaign itself is still fairly easy on the middle difficulty for someone who's used to rally games but to a newcomer it could be tricky.

I have mentioned it in the guide as requested.

Honestly though this was the first time I hae seen the word "hard" mentioned in anything to do with this game.

Congrats on your latest (P)

Yeah cant wait :D

Been missing out on afew plats recently so will be nice to bag a straight forward one :)

Do you know if an online race can be left at idle with a boosting partner for the 60 minute duration for the trophy to pop? (with a button pressed or something). Struggling to find players online unfortunately so wondered if 1 race could be left for an hour with a boosting partner.

Cheers

Honestly do not know.

I remember taking my time on races, but you have to finish within a certain amount of time of first place.

When I was playing with someone that was lagging behind I would also slow down.

I could see it working with those theories, but cannot confirm.

I think it could be a of a waste of time though to try due to network connections and the Vita screen blacking out.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I may try It initially for the 10 minute trophy, if that pops then will leave it a bit longer for the 60 min. If both boosters are idle, with say a analogue stick banded across to prevent the auto standby then it should work. Will save waiting for loading screens etc. If I find anyone to dummy run this with me I'll report back if it works or not. Cheers

Awesome guide, thanks! Just 2 minor things, the Around the World trophy has a bronze trophy icon instead of gold and in the Normal routine trophy description you speak of selecting a single race, which made me try getting this through single stages a few times before i realized it was supposed to say single rally!

I have fixed them now.

Glad the guide was of use.

Could you take out the mention of Road to Glory mode and whatever is associated with it? The Vita version doesn't have it and I was a bit confused when I put in the game and saw only WRC Experience and Multiplayer.

Otherwise great guide, thanks for that!

Thanks for the comments.

The "Road to Glory" is only mentioned when describing the game as a whole and does not have anything to do with the actual Road Map.

It also mentions that the Vita version is a scaled down version of the PS3 one, so it shouldn't really come into consideration.

Sorry it confused you slightly, but I would prefer to leave it in there as it describes the game as a whole. Your comments are appreciated though.

Sorry but I can't really see your point. Road to Glory is part of the PS3(/360/PC) version but not the Vita version. There's no game as a whole, each game is a separate entity. Your description comes from the PS3 version and describes in detail what kind of races it features. The guide certainly says that the Vita version is scaled down but doesn't specify that "Hey, here's a description of the 'Road to Glory' mode but don't bother reading it, you won't be able to play it on your Vita".
