Introduction:

Worms Revolution is a turn based 2D strategy game where up to four players can use mines, bazookas and oil drums to eliminate their competition. Worms is an old classic but with Revolution you have new features that might keep you busy for a while. There are the brand new classes which remind me somewhat of Team Fortress: the Soldier, Scout, Heavy and Scientist. We also get to play around with water effects which can drown, slow down or even cushion a worm falling from too great a height.

The game itself is pretty solid and it can be one of the more appealing Worms available to date, the water physics is very fun to play around with and you get a lot of different tools you can use to alter the effects of water: Plug Holes, Bunker Buster, Moles and pretty much anything; the only thing stopping you is your imagination.

The new class system can be fun but most of the time you notice how it turns the game stupider then what it should be, Scientists gives 5+ health each turn and are little less agile and not as strong as the normal Soldier, the Scout is by far the most dangerous one as he can jump higher, further and walk faster, even items and weapons alter a lot to your advantage - he is the weakest when it comes to firepower though. Heavy is just heavy, he moves as a snail, can't jump that well and he packs raw dynamite with all your weapons.

Trophy-wise, it is not that difficult and you will notice the time consuming grind some of the trophies take in order to get platinum, as mentioned above.

Cross-Save

Cross save works with Worms Revolution and the Vita version of the game, however a few trophies will not unlock this way so at least you can save yourself some time and get it to unlock the single player content, Sadly Worminator does Not unlock for a lot of people and have to be obtained playing the online parts of the game. If you have both versions and are starting fresh on either console, I whole heartily recommend using Cross-Save. You will most likely save 10 hours+ of gameplay in Single player.

http://i.imgur.com/YoNB4ah.png

As all of the trophies can't be missed you can take it easy, it's time consuming but this game pretty much ensures you a Platinum.

Step 1: As you start the game you will get introduced to the tutorial level, this is where you can easily get (Tarzan (S)) as quickly as you get the Ninja Rope ∞, which means that if you use it 5 times in a row without touching the ground you unlock this jungle boy. Use :cross: to use it while aiming and don't worry, you have endless amount of tries and time. Finish the tutorial and you will get 5 worms to your kill count for later on.

Upon finishing the tutorial you will achieve (Boom Boom (B)).

Step 2: Now go into Single Play and start the Campaign. You will be tossed into the sewers but don't be alarmed, the Worms are not very dangerous here! There are four worlds you need to finish and just remember, the further in you get the more aimbot the A.I gets. On the first world you can most likely add up alot of trophies, You will get (Claymore More(B)) on the second training mission called Hazards, see it's trophy information. When you are on Training 4: Physics Objects you will most likely get (Wrecking Ball(S)) make sure when you get the Bazooka on this stage that you turn around and destroy the Yellow lamp. On Training 5: Water Hazards you should get (Glug Glug Glug(B)) When you teleport into the water instead of using the Plug Hole, Select and use Skip Go five times in a row. After the Sewer you will have racked up a whole lot of kills, especially those like (Bug Gulp(S)), If you are lucky enough you will get roughly 20 for this amount.

Step 3: when you are done with Campaign, go straight for Puzzle Mode. This mode is quite easy and most of them emphasise on water physics, You have 20 missions to complete a real no brainer huh.

Step 4: Online, do whatever you can to find online matches. My experience was empty servers and wait time above 20 min, be patient and you will get (Social Butterfly (S)) the only one that is kinda hard to boost.

Earn every trophy.

You will most certainly get this!

Show us how quick you learn and complete all the tutorial missions.

:tagstory:

Story related, cannot be missed.

You will get this after completing the Tutorial level and the Sewer from the single player campaign, no sweat!

Prove you’ve got what it takes and complete all campaign missions.

:tagstory:

Story related, cannot be missed. Simply complete all campaign missions.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/654.jpg Worminator http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

War is hell, kill 300 enemy worms in online matches anyway, anyhow!

:tagonline:

This can be boosted, Just make sure that you are actually killing all four worms; indirect kills do count towards this amount. Easiest way to boost this is to put all four worms on the edge using the tool "Teleport In" (you can set it to "On" in the Lobby) and then blasting them off the edge. Suicides does not count as indirect kills or kills. This will take 75 online games total, if you kill all four worms each game on a one vs one game setting. To find boosting partners, head here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/worms-revolution/175748-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/BAE.jpg Social Butterfly http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Enjoy the company of 20 others online.

:tagonline:

This can be boosted if you have 20 friends you can play with, which is very unlikely! Do note that the people you meet in the Lobby does not count, nor the ones on the Leaderboards. You have to play a game against them that does not result in a disconnection, it's the most online sensitive trophy on the list. Looking at people met on your PSN won't help in tracking it, the list is inaccurate and will list people from the Lobby.Keep playing online and it will pop up! To find boosting partners, head here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/worms-revolution/175748-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/561.jpg Class Act http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Get all worm classes (4 x Scout, 4 x Scientist, 4 x Heavy).

:tagcollectible:

You can purchase more worms from the Customization menu on your menu screen, each worm costs the same but the cost increase after each purchase for the same type. This means that the last Scout, Scientist and Heavy will be more expensive then the first Scout, Scientist and Heavy purchase. You get money from doing Single Player and Online games, so I suggest you start with the campaign.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/981.jpg Bug Gulp http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Kill 50 worms by sending them into the drink.

:tagsolocoop:

Do not get this confused with tossing worms into the physics water, it's the out of boundary water. Can also be obtained from Online games and Versus mode. Note that Clones of your account killing you does not count towards this amount.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/E0E.jpg Buddy, Buddy http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win 10 allied matches online.

:tagonline:

Online trophy, can be boosted. You have to play either a two versus one match, two versus two match or three vs one match, and win 10 games with an ally. You do not have to have a game with someone on your friends list, random people will do. To find boosting partners, head here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/worms-revolution/175748-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/7F2.jpg Upstairs Wares http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Got it upstairs? Show us by completing all the puzzle missions.

:tagstory:

Complete the puzzle missions, there are a total of 20 missions to complete and they take you through all of the previous worlds: Sewers, Beach, Spooky and Farmyard. They are very easy and you should be done in a couple of hours; the cutscenes are time consuming. You will get a lot of medals for doing this that will matter in the long run when you need to purchase worms for (Class Act (G)).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/940.jpg The Hard One http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

500 damage, in one turn? Go on then!

:tagsolocoop:

Best done in Versus mode against a clone of yourself, pile three teams of worms (total of 12 worms) and blow them up with a weapon of your choice! Concrete Donkey would be your best pick as it's required for (Asinus (B)). You may be able to get this from Online or Story though, so save it for later!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/B89.jpg Wrecking Ball http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Smash up one of each type of physics object.

:tagstory:

On Training 4: Physics Objects there are plenty of objects for you to destroy. A Poison one, Water, Explosive, a Dust and a Fire one. Just make sure that on the mission you turn around and Bazooka the Yellow lamp. If you have done both campaign and puzzle missions you will most likely have this by now, if not go to Versus and keep blowing up physics objects in each game; the DLC objects are not required towards this amount.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/FB3.jpg Glug Glug Glug http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Go for a swim... a 5 turn swim

:tagsolocoop:

Story related, cannot be missed. On Training 5: Water Hazards you can get this if you use the Skip Go instead of the Plughole so be careful it's quite the golden opportunity! Getting in a situation like this is very common throu out the campaign so don't worry. You can get this from Versus mode or online aswell. Only thing you have to do is to stand in water for five turns, which drains your health by -5 health each turn (for a total of 25 health).

See (Scientist Killer (S)).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/DB4.jpg Scientist Killer http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Kill 10 enemy Scientist worms in online matches.

:tagonline:

These four trophies will be given to you over time as you play online. It can be boosted if you have a friend who has one of each. More often than not you will get (Soldier Killer (S)) last as that worm is less useful than the others, Most players get (Scientist Killer (S)) first. Aim for (Worminator (S)) and you will most certainly get this one.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/8BD.jpg Squashed! http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Kill an enemy worm through a physics object squashing them.

:tagsolocoop:

You can be lucky and get this from story related things but otherwise there are a few ways to get this. One is that you shoot down a physics object that will fall down on someone, or you can use Telekinesis to lift up an object and placing them right above an enemy worm. You can dig out an physics object with the Blowtorch and let it fall down on a worm and getting this by indirect kill, but the best option for this trophy however is to use the U.F.O as it's range is vastly superior to that of Telekinesis.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/C0D.jpg Boom Boom http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Kill a worm with an exploding physics object.

:tagstory:

Story related, cannot be missed. You should get this from the Tutorial level simply Airstrike the physics object at the end and the worm will die from it's explosion.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/52D.jpg Asinus http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Use the ultimate weapon, the Concrete Donkey.

:tagsolocoop:

Easiest way to get this is by going to the Customization menu and creating a new game rule, head to Weapon options and add Concrete Donkey to the initial list, then just fire him away in Versus. You can get this from Online aswell.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/397.jpg How Rude! (S)

Win 5 games killing the last worm with a prod.

:tagoffon:

You can get this by boosting or by playing Versus against a clone of yourself, note that the game must end by you winning from using Prod on someone and not killing 5 worms with Prod or a clone of you using Prod. You need to Prod a worm down into the water to get this one. To find boosting partners head here! http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/worms-revolution/175748-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/95D.jpg Home Sweet Home http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Enter 10 fort games with the same fort.

:tagsolocoop:

Play 10 Fort games, you can do this from the Versus menu or the Online Menu (not Ranked games though). You can change your fort at the Customization Menu. Play 10 with the same one. You do not have to win, just enter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/D11.jpg Tarzan http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Repeat swing on the rope 5 times without touching the ground.

:tagsolocoop:

It's easiest to do this at the tutorial level when you first time start up Worms Revolution, you get Infinite Ninja Ropes and no timer. You have all the time in the world to practice! If you don't do this on the tutorial level, go into Customization Menu and edit a game rule, change Ninja Rope to Infinite ammo and then try in Versus Mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/808.jpg Death From Above http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Kill a worm using a weapon whilst on the parachute.

:tagsolocoop:

There are a few ways to do this one, the easiest way is in Versus mode against yourself. make sure you pile up a bunch of low health worms at the same place, then take a worm and use Ninja Rope, pin yourself to the ceiling and press :circle:. Select the Parachute and press :square:. Now quickly press :circle: again and select a Mine, Dynamite, Grenade or Cluster Grenade and press :square: and make sure it's not windy. If you have practiced the campaign a lot, you should be able to do this maneuver any day. Indirect Kills do count for this Trophy, it's harder though.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/AB8.jpg My Gun, My Kill http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Kill 10 enemy worms using a sentry gun.

:tagoffon:

You should be able to get this after you are done with Campaign and Puzzle games, if not you can boost for it or get it eventually in online. Sentry guns have a few things you need to keep in mind. Scientist worms have the strongest Sentry in the game: they are weak towards fire, they don't move slower in water, they change direction it's facing very slowly but it stays fixed when it doesn't track a worm, you can repair them, they are bouncy and you can fly if you place them on a worms head correctly and magnets do not effect Sentry Guns. A great tactic for getting this online is to use Stick Up and steal the opponents Sentry Gun.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/797.jpg Wormicide http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Kill 1000 enemy worms.

:tagoffon:

This is the most time consuming trophy in the game and it should be the one you aim for last, even after you've done the DLC ones, if you have purchased that. The campaign and Puzzle modes rack up a great deal of worms and the Online (Worminator (S)) should be one you get before this one. If you boost for this, you can do it in the Versus Mode against three teams of four worms, do however make sure that you are the one killing worms and not clones, their kills do not count. Indirect kills count and all Online and Offline kills count. In Versus mode you can kill 12 worms maximum each game, that means that you will most likely get this trophy after you have boosted for 83.5 versus games.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/96A.jpg Kleptomaniac http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Be greedy and collect 100 weapon or utility crates.

:tagcollectible:

See (Nightingale (B)).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/C48.jpg Nightingale http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Act like Florence and collect 100 health crates.

:tagcollectible:

For these two trophies I suggest that you play through the campaign and puzzle modes of the game first, DLC do count towards this amount so If you have Mars DLC, do that Campaign aswell. For (Kleptomaniac (B)) you can also use Crate Strike from Mars DLC. The easiest way to do these two is to go into Customization and change Drop rate to 90% for one of the trophies, then in a Versus game you will get a crate drop in each turn. It becomes even easier if you have teleport on unlimited ammo so you don't have to walk around and also add the longest game timer you can and change the Deathmatch rule to 1 Health instead of rising water, makes the game endless and you can collect as much as you need.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/7FB.jpg Claymore More http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Drop mines like nobody’s business, 50 in fact.

:tagoffon:

Best way to get this is that you on campaign stage Sewer Training: 2 Hazards. Instead of killing the worm with a mine, drop them down the pit behind him, when you stand on the Wrench's edge, press :circle: to open weapon menu and :cross: to drop a Mine.

You will get this one easily if you prioritize Mines during Campaign and Puzzle modes, DLC counts aswell. Otherwise you can boost this in Versus mode, as it's drop mines and not kill worms with them, so you can just stand over a pit and place mines over and over again, You can set Mines to unlimited on the Customization menu.

DLC: Mars

http://i.imgur.com/6NCvjMd.png

Overview:

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 2/10
  • Offline: 2 (3 (B), 1 (S), 1 (G))
  • Online: 1 (1 (S))
  • Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (Mission to Mars Campaign)
  • Glitched trophies: 0

Introduction:

Step 1: Your first step with Mars DLC is to do the Campaign, this should unlock two trophies for you and add cash for you in case you need it for (Class Act (G)). Other than that, the campaign is a no brainer and you have most likely done all of them before in the previous campaign. If you got a friend that is nice enough or a boosting partner, you can get all the online trophies without having to purchase the DLC yourself, but if you like the game you should probably purchase it anyway as it makes the road to the platinum way easier. Also Flawless Mission have been fixed now so you no longer need to worry about it.

Step 2: Play Online... thats pretty much it, the Online trophies are simple and no brainers. Have fun!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/477.jpg Strife on Mars http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Complete all the Mars downloadable content single player missions.

Story related, cannot be missed.

Use the Buffalo, Poison Gun, Lightning and Crate Strikes once.

:tagoffon:

I suggest you do the Single Player missions first. After that, go into Customization menu and give ammo to Buffalo, Poison Gun, Lightning and Crate Strikes and use them in Versus. You can get this trophy without having the DLC if you have a friend or random online that have the Mars DLC that will give you the weapons aswell. To find boosting partners, head here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/worms-revolution/175748-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

:tagstory: :tagoffon:

See (New Kit (B)). You should get this from completing the last DLC story mission, If you did it correctly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/066.jpg Mars Rover http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win at least 5 online games in the Mars theme.

:tagonline:

You should be able to get this one easily, you can do this one while you aim for (Worminator (S)). As with the other DLC online trophies, you can get this one without have purchased the DLC yourself (See New Kit (B)). Make sure you win!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1553/BEA.jpg Flawless Mission http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Complete all five Mars campaigns without losing a single worm.

:tagmissable:

It sounds really difficult but it's not! The A.I always got some weak spots that will give you safe zones. The first one is a no brainer and you should do it without any issues, make sure you get Concrete Donkey on the second one, that does a lot. The best tactic I can advise is to "Trap" them under things using UFO or just be lucky (Fourth stage worms self trap themselves sometime.) Don't have to do it in order and Restart Match works.

Any news of the flawless mission getting patched any time soon ? i just have that trophy left and all the online 1s but i don't want to link the game to my account till this trophy is fixed so can't do the online till then.

The latest news I read was a week ago when they had promised to look into it back in December 18th 2012, yet nothing. Should add that XboX do not have this as an achievement.

Yeah mate after i posted this i googled it and it took me to team17 site,so they do know about it but when a patch is coming they don't know.

I also seen that they said this trophy wasn't on xbox or pc so might be something wrong with the coding for it on the ps3.

It's a shame it's glitched Worms Revolution was actually not that bad of a PSN game to get trophies on, the game is fun if you take it in moderation.

Compared to other Worms it's a breeeze.

Hopefully they fix this issue in a couple of months however if they don't I think they rather leave it as is and focus on something else instead, I don't think Team17 is as succesful it was back in the day so the budget might alter the outcome of this "patch".

No videos for the puzzles? This isn't much of a guide. Now I understand why it isn't sticky and the author simply wrote sticky before the title. Weak. I hate when people want to write guides but refuse to put any real effort into it. What's the point?

You are joking right? First and foremost go read the guidelines of the site and check how the sticky system and trophy guide system works.

Flawless Mission IS getting a fix. I posted about it on the thread specifically about that trophy.

Yes I've heard about it, Now all we need to know is if we have to buy Extreme edition to get the patch or if it will be for everyone, the official announcement was not clear on that really. but thanks for sharing! Edited by NightRusticDawn
