How to: Break Ace

Recommended Posts

The players in the game in quick play all have different attributes. The problem here, it means you need a pacific player for any given technique. You can't chose your player, you are randomly assigned one. For this you will need to use Thompson, keep on quitting and re-entering 9-Ball quick play until you are playing as Thompson.

On the blue table (not sure about the others) place the cueball as far forward on the line as possible and all the way to the right side of the table. Aim at the right side of the 1 ball. Using the silver notches on the side of the table, have the aim for the 1 ball (the yellow aiming line) going directly on the centre of the second notch from the bottom of the table on the left side. Power your shot to the max, add full top spin and apply a little bit of right hand side/english (the dot for where your hitting the cueball should be mostly engulfed by the shine on the cueball's picture). If you put too much right hand side on it the cueball will hit the 9 and send it towards the top end of the table, if you put too little right hand side on it the cueball will hit the 9 and send it towards the side cushion. When done right, the cueball will come back up to the 9 ball and send it into the left middle pocket.

It's a little bit of trial and error at first but it's a sure fire way to get it if you don't mind a little bit of tweaking after seeing how the cueball hits the 9. You just need to adjust the right hand side a little each time. Once you learn it you'll be able to do it much more often (i can do it one in five try's now).
