spoonman
I used to play this a bit in the old days, but to be honest I had moved onto Doom soon after playing the demo for Wolf3D. I played it a bit on the PS3 a couple years ago and was feeling like playing it some more, but I'm only on the second episode and I am going in circles here. The only clues I get are the dead Nazis strewn about, but it's not as good as bread crumbs. I know I could Google up some maps, but I'd rather try to do it the way ID intended. Is there an in-game map I'm not seeing, or a method to this madness? Thanks.. Also, a funny side note. My friend used to think the Nazi's were screaming "my labia!" When shot. A German major he was not! I still lose it when I hear it all these years later.
Terminator
Without a map or unless you have a photographic memory, it's inevitable you will get lost at some point. Wolfenstein 3D was made at the start of the FPS Era so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that came later on with Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem 3D. Edited June 3, 2013 by Terminator Fixed typo. spoonman
Thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't forgetting something in the game that made navagation easier. I have some short term memory problems too which doesn't help! I just find myself going in circles and all the rooms & walls start to look the same. I'll keep at it though. Floodclaw
Definitely keep at it. The levels aren't that big most of the time, so you can just crawl your way through. Eventually you'll get it.
