Introduction:
Wizardry is a series that has been around for quite some time. It's been a Dungeon Crawler RPG type of game since the DOS era and that means that you will spend most of your time grinding enemies for experience and items. There isn't really any notable story to this game, so if you like grinding and sometimes seemingly unfair enemies - this is your game.

Road Map

Step Zero: Creating your party
You might want to skip to Step One if you don't feel the need to be educated about the game mechanics. For new players I really recommend reading through this step at least once.

Creating your party

Step One: Finish the main story
First of all, you should use this spreadsheet if you ever need any of the coordinates for quests or item drop locations. It's almost 100% accurate and helped me a lot:

Item Drop and Quest Spreadsheet

Before starting, I want to point out that everything you do will count towards the trophies. No matter which character you use, everything in this game accumulates. You can track progress of most trophies in the Album at the Inn.

First get your party together:

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

You will unlock some of the trophies in the first playthrough, but it's mainly for leveling your characters and collecting items for trophies you will get much later on. Since nearly all of the trophies are "Kill a specific number of enemies", "Collect items" and "Finish character scenarios" you don't have to worry about much in this step. Just descend down the dungeon while doing the main quests.

What you'll want to get out of the way first is A King's Ransom. You need to collect 1.000.000 Gold, so just don't spend anything (you won't really need anything from the store) until you get the trophy. While descending down the Trial Dungeon try to map as much of it as possible for the Amateur Adventurer trophy. Same goes for Shiin's Dungeon. But here you'll have to map every single tile of it for the Apprentice Cartographer, Professional Cartographer and Master Cartographer trophies, so work on that from the beginning.

The last few trophies you will want to work towards are the boss kill trophies ( Ala Cadaver, Tempestus Wreckage and Luxurious Anguish). While on the final quest of the main story ([Rescue King Diement V]) you will need to make specific choices to fight these bosses. See the corresponding trophies for more information.

Don't sell [Dirty Dagger]s and [Tonic]s, you will still need them in Step 2. After the first three quests ([Defeat the Monsters], [Stolen Medicine] and [Dungeon Delivery]) you will need to do your Hero Quest. Check the corresponding character scenario trophy for help on this.

Step Two: Clear the remaining 9 character scenarios
You will need to clear the game with every single character from the character selection screen. You can use the party from your first playthrough in these consecutive ones by using the [Search for Allies] feature described in Step One. Be sure to have at least one character with the "Free Warp" ability with you. It will speed up things tremendously.

What you will have to do in each playthrough are the first three quests ([Defeat the Monsters], [Stolen Medicine] and [Dungeon Delivery]), the Hero Quest described in the corresponding trophy description and after that [Research of the Heathen Gods], [Stranded in the Dungeon] and [Rescue King Diement V]. If you can't accept [Stranded in the Dungeon] you need to talk to Shiin who stands two steps away from the entrance stairs in Shiin's Dungeon B1F first.

Be sure to get Ala Cadaver, Tempestus Wreckage and Luxurious Anguish in this step which require you to kill the different bosses. If you don't know which quests to do and where their objectives are, take a look at Savior of the Empire.

This step will earn you these trophies:
Completed Chris' scenario
Completed Odetta's scenario
Completed Verne's scenario
Completed Lind's scenario
Completed Pegma's scenario
Completed Nia's scenario
Completed Erno's scenario
Completed Dia's scenario
Completed Boris' scenario
Completed Asche's scenario
Savior of the Empire.

Step Three: Cleanup
This step will take you the longest by far. It consists of grinding, grinding and more grinding. If you don't have the A Little Help From My Friends trophy yet, go ahead and create a character of every class in the Guild. Save beforehand so that your party doesn't get messed up. After that it's on to the grindfest.

You will want to start out by finishing up these trophies:
Giver of Eternal Rest
Purifier
The One Called 'Dragonslayer'

For specific locations on these take a look at the trophy description.

After that, you should start grinding the crap out of B1F of either the Trial or Shiin's Dungeon for Rookie Adventurer, Hardened Veteran and The Doombringer. This will take a veeeeeery long time. If you have a turbo controller you might be able to automate this (take a look at this thread).

If you got your 50.000th kill and still don't have Museum Curator, you should take a look at the Spreadsheet or at this list I found.

The only trophy/trophies you should be missing now are Dungeon Dweller and Lost Soul. You will have to leave your PS3 on until you clock in at 200 hours. Unfortunately there is no other way for this. Since the other trophies don't take this long, this will most likely be the last one you'll earn.

Kill-related trophies

Giver of Eternal Rest
Defeated 500 or more Undead creatures.

This should come naturally. You would have to be very lucky (or unlucky?) not to get this on your first playthrough, but if you should still not have it you should get this on B1F of Shiin's Dungeon. The trophy will pop after the 500th kill.

Purifier
Defeated 500 or more Demonic creatures.

This may come naturally as well. If it doesn't just farm B1F of Shiin's Dungeon. There are monsters called "Imp" there and since you're farming on that floor anyway you should get this trophy there as well. The trophy will pop after the 500th kill.

The One called 'Dragonslayer'
Defeated 500 or more Draconic creatures.

This trophy most likely won't come naturally. There aren't a whole lot of dragon enemies in this game and they appear by themselves most of the time. You should farm this on B5F of Shiin's Dungeon since there are groups of "Dragonlings". If you're farming specifically for this trophy and get into a fight without Dragonlings just run away. The trophy will pop after the 500th kill.

Rookie Adventurer
Killed 1,500 or more monsters.

See "The Doombringer"

Hardened Veteran
Killed 15,000 or more monsters.

See "The Doombringer"

The Doombringer
Killed 50,000 or more monsters

You need to kill a total of 50.000 enemies for this trophy and you will need to farm most of it. When I had all of the character scenarios completed I only had about 2900 kills. That means even if you grind a lot throughout the scenarios you will still have to grind countless hours for this one.
The best place is obviously the first floor of either the Trial or Shiin's Dungeon. You can check your progress in the Album at the Inn. It doesn't matter which character you do the kills with, they accumulate no matter which character you are on. The trophy will unlock after the 50.000th kill.

If you have a turbo controller you might want to take a look at this thread: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wiz...uto-boost.html

I didn't manage to get it to work correctly without a Hori brand controller since there were poisoned chests even on the first floor - which may kill even a level 50 character if you open them - but some people have reported they didn't see those chests on B1F so you might want to try anyway.

Another thing I want to mention is that you will want to have an item called [Sacrifice Seal] for this trophy. What it does is that it increases the encounter rate to 100% on every single tile, making the farming much faster. It drops from Fire Dragons on B8F of Shiin's Dungeon and from Greater Daemons on B8F and B10F of Shiin's Dungeon.

If you plan on purchasing the DLC you will want to get the one that adds the additional scenario for about 8$. There is a quest called [The Architecture of the Deep Levels] which has this item as a free reward. You should consider getting this DLC as early as possible if you plan on farming the seal since the droprate is very low.

Ala Cadaver
Slay the Ala Cabra

Story-related. Can be missed if you make the wrong choices.

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Tempestus Wreckage
Slayed the Tempestus Rex

Story-related. Can be missed if you make the wrong choices.

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Luxurious Anguish
Slayed Luxuria Anguis

Story-related. Can be missed if you make the wrong choices.

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Miscellaneous trophies

Wanderer
Played the game for 30 hours.

See Lost Soul.

Dungeon Dweller
Played the game for 100 hours.

See Lost Soul.

Lost Soul
Played the game for 200 hours.

This will most likely be the last trophy you'll get. Completing the game and getting all of the other trophies won't take you 200 hours. If you start grinding for The Doombringer early on you might not even have the trophy for 100 hours by the time you got all of the other ones.

There is not much to say here. Changing the PS3's time or date won't help. You need to leave the game on (fortunately you don't need to actively play it) until you reach the 200 hour mark. You can check your progress in the Album at the Inn.

The trophy will unlock after you get to the 200 hours of playtime.

A Little Help From My Friends
Has at least one character of every class type registered at the guild.

Just have a character of every one of the eight classes registered at the Guild at some time throughout the game. Doesn't need to be in one playthrough and doesn't need to be at the same time. The classes are Fighter, Mage, Priest, Thief, Bishop, Samurai, Lord and Ninja.

If you're still missing this trophy when you get to farming for The Doombringer you might just want to save the game and change your main characters into the classes you're missing since they should have fulfilled the stat requirements by then. After that, just load your save again so that you don't mess up your party.

The trophy will unlock after registering the last character at the Guild.

Role Model
Advanced at least one character to level 20.

See Legendary.

Legendary
Advanced at least one character to level 30.

Just get one character to level 30. Not much to say here - just don't class change at least one character (might most likely be your Bishop or Thief since you need those classes anyway) and get him to level 30. This should come naturally while processing through the game. Be aware of the enemies on the last two floors of Shiin's Dungeon since they can drop your level by up to 4 (at least that's the highest my level got dropped).

The trophy will unlock after one character reaches level 30.

Casual Collector
Collected at least 30 different items.

See Museum Curator.

Antique Dealer
Collected at least 70 different items.

See Museum Curator.

Museum Curator
Collected at least 100 different items.

Because of the insane amount of farming you have to do in this game, this should come naturally for most people. If you still don't have it after getting all of the other trophies (except for the 200 hour one), you should take a look at the Spreadsheet in the roadmap or at this list I found.

You can also check your progress in the Album at the Inn. You don't need to carry every single item with you at the same time, you just have to carry it at some point in the game so that it gets saved to the Album. Unfortunately it won't tell you how many items you have exactly but you can either count them or just take note that there is a total of 140 items without DLC, so you will have reached 100 items at around 70% completion.

If you're having major problems with this one and want to purchase DLC, then go for the additional scenario (the one for 7,99$) since there are some more items to get within the new dungeon.

The trophy will unlock after getting your 100th item.

Affluent
Has carried at least 10,000 gold.

See A King's Ransom.

The Midas Touch
Has carried at least 100,000 gold.

See A King's Ransom.

A King's Ransom
Has carried at least 1,000,000 gold.

1,000,000 gold may sound like a lot at first but it really isn't. You don't need anything from the shop and you can heal at the Inn for free if you use your healing spells and then choose [Stable] for getting your MP back up. Also have a Bishop with you at all times so you can [Appraise] items for free.

You need to carry the whole amount at the same time, this trophy is not accumulative.

If you want to get this out of the way as fast as possible, just do some math and count the amount of gold you would get from selling all of your equipment. If that's enough to get you above the 1,000,000 mark just save, sell everything, wait for trophy to unlock and reload your savestate.

The trophy will unlock after getting 1,000,000 gold.

Amateur Adventurer
Has mapped at least 30% of the Dungeon of Trials.

Reveal 30% of the Dungeon of Trials. You should get this naturally since the Dungeon of Trials has 10 floors (the last 4 can only be accessed if you bought the DLC for 4,99$). Just map every tile you can and you should get the trophy on floor 3 or 4.

It will unlock after you mapped the last tile of the Trial Dungeon.

Apprentice Cartographer
Has mapped 30% of Shiin's Dungeon.

See Master Cartographer.

Professional Cartographer
Has mapped 70% of Shiin's Dungeon.

See Master Cartographer.

Master Cartographer
Has mapped 100% of Shiin's Dungeon.

Reveal 100% of Shiin's Dungeon. You should start working on this trophy from the very beginning. If you have a map, press to open the map screen (or if you don't have one use the spell "Arcane Map" Mages have which unfortunately gets disabled when you walk into an Anti-Spell-Zone). You need to map every single tile of the ten maps in Shiin's Dungeon. This will be much easier once you get the "Free Warp" spell in the next-to-last tier of the Mage category of spells. So you may want to wait until you get that ability to complete the final few tiles you are missing since it will allow you to warp anywhere as long as you've already mapped that tile. Also you will see a map with a little star symbol on it to the left of the floor name when you've completed mapping an entire floor.

The trophy will unlock after mapping the last tile of Shiin's Dungeon.

Here are the completed maps of that dungeon taken from the semi-Japanese guide on here (credits go to hshirako):

Creating your party

Before you start playing you might want to take some time getting into the game mechanics to save yourself from frustration.
I will tell you want you need to know about the party setup in general. It's up to you how you balance your party since there is an almost infinite amount of possibilities to do so.

There are two possibilities to create a character. You can either create one from the character creation screen after starting/loading the game or you can create one in the Guild. For the sake of saving time you are going to create every character from the character creation screen. I'll explain more in step one.
When creating a character you get assigned a random number of Bonus points ranging from 1 to 50. If you leave the screen and re-enter you will have re-rolled that number. Ideally you should get something around 40 if you have VERY much time to spare but since stat points cap at some point in the game anyway you will want to roll around 20 to save yourself some time. I wouldn't recommend using any character with Bonus points below 15.
As your first character I also recommend using a Porklu because of the high LUC stat (which increases item drops).

Classes
There are 8 classes in this game. You need to fill specific stat and alignment requirements to create them.

These are the requirements:

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

I recommend not using Samurai, Lord and Ninja (the "advanced classes") right at the beginning. For a Lord for example you would have to roll at least a 32 and you won't get a very high HP stat if you start out as one of them.
A common theme in Wizardry games is class change.
When you change your class you go back to Level 1, your HP and MP is halfed but you retain all of your stats. That's why you should go with some classes that have a good HP gain early on and change them to other classes later.

Here's a quick rundown of my personal experiences with the classes and if you should use them when starting out:

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Races
Races don't matter other than for the initial stats. Dwarfs have the highest HP (and HP gain) and Porklus the best AGI and LUC stats. Go for a versatile party but I really recommend not using any Gnomes since they... well, they suck. The have a VERY poor HP gain and die if you just tap them.

Alignment
Alignment basically manages which classes you can have in your party at the same time. Characters with Neutral alignment can be in parties with every other character but characters with Good alignment can not be in the same party as characters with Evil alignment and vice-versa. Looking at the class requirements you might notice that Ninjas can only be Evil for example. That means when first creating one you cannot have him in the same party as a Lord for example.
Throughout the game there will be choices at the start of some battles to [Fight], [Watch] or [Leave]. Select [Fight] to slowly shift towards Evil aligment and [Leave] to slowly shift towards Good aligment.
That being said there is a way to get characters with opposite alignments into one party:

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Stats
When assigning Bonus points you should generally just go for the main stats that are required to create that specific class and after that put everything into VIT.
STR increases melee attack power, INT increases spell power, PIE increases healing power, VIT determines HP gain when gaining levels, AGI increases dodge and determines the turn order and LUC is kind of a mysterious stat which does some magical stuff that's not really known. Some say it increases the attack power of elementless spells, some say it adds something to everything but most likely its use is increasing droprates.
When you level up stat points are assigned at random. They may either go up or down (yes that's right, you can lose stat points in this game) at random. But eventually they'll stay close to a specific cap that is determined by the race the character has. Basically that cap is somewhere around "Starting stats +10". That's why you also shouldn't worry too much about rolling a high Bonus point number. Stats will normalize at later levels anyways.

Party setup
Okay, I guess there's not much left to say. Try out your own setups, that's the whole point of the game. But remember the following things:
- You need to have 3 characters in the front row and 3 in the back
- High HP characters in the front row, low HP in the back
- Have at least one Thief or Ninja with you
- Have at least one Bishop with you
- Create every character from the character selection screen

With that said - have fun creating your party.
In case you're wondering how the "row"-system works:
Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Some other tips:
- The two first quests require collection [Dirty Dagger]s and [Tonic]s. Don't use any of them even after finishing the quest since you'll need to do those quests with every single one of the main characters
- Don't pay money at the inn to heal. Just heal up with your healing spells and use the free MP healing to get the same effect
- If you die you can be resurrected at the temple or with some spells. [Restore Body] is the only spell that doesn't have a penalty, the other spell reduces your VIT. If you're unlucky the resurrection turns your character into [Ash]. If you fail again he will be [Lost] and that really means "Lost forever". You won't be able to bring him back. So save before resurrecting if a character already is in [Ash] status
- The quests Reagent Gathering, Researching the Undead, and The Cursed Weapon are not required for a scenario playthrough
- The 4,99$ DLC doesn't really offer anything new, just some floors to the Trial Dungeon, the other one has a new dungeon though and a quest reward you might want to have for grinding (see The Doombringer)

Very good roadmap. I will be starting this game very soon, I just have two near-complete projects first. But this guide looks to streamline this game's trophy expectations rather nicely, thank you for that.
