WipEout HD Road Map

Overview:

-Estimated trophy difficulty: 9.5

-Offline: 33

-Online: 5

-Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 70+ hours, strongly depending on your skills

-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1

-Number of missable trophies: 0

-Glitched trophies: none, but at least one trophy can also be obtained through a glitch

-Do cheat codes disable trophies: No cheat codes available

If you like good racing games, you've probabily played at least one time in your life with any title of the

WipEout series. This last episode for Ps3 is an enhanced port of the last game published on PSP, "WipEout Pulse",

and it's a definitive must-have for all the lovers of this series and for racing gamers in general. However,

since the introduction of the Trophy system, this game was also well known for being one of the most difficult

titles to Platinum, and some trophies like Elite Campaign Legend and Beat Zico are still considered two

of the hardest trophies ever.

Following this premise, i've decided to write a road map for helping anyone will try to Platinum this game. I've

played a lot with this game, and i've developed some strategies and tips i hope you will find useful for your

playthrough. Please note that this guide is neither the only way you can Platinum the game, nor a speedrun for easy bronze and silvers trophies; i've tried to develop a path that will gradually improve your skills without being too frustrated, however feel free to follow your way in any moment you want.

Be warned before you begin: this game is really a badass, and you're going to lose your patience a lot of times;

however remember that practice makes perfects, and that any trophy is really impossible, just try and try again

and be patient.

1) Campaign (14 trophies)

First thing first. I recommend to play the whole Campaign on Elite difficult, in order to work forward

for Elite Campaign Legend; by the way, if you think the challenge will be too hard, feel free to play on a

lower difficult and get at least a bronze medal for the game progression.

On the five events the Campaign is composed with (Race, Tournament, Zone, Time Trials and Speed Lap) the hardest ones are surely Races and Tournaments. There's no general advice i can give to you, except: try and try again. Some races are literally brutal, but if you keep trying and don't lose your patience you can win any event. Learn how to airbrake and sideshift, since this will raise your chance to end a race at high places; and be sure to make full use of your arsenal, expecially at higher classes: learn where to use AutoPilots and Turbos and take advantage any time you can, or take your weapons ready to be absorbed just in case you are doing a series of barrel rolls. Also, note that Tournaments are a little bit forgiving than Races, and in most of them you only need to be in a decent position on any race to win them (normally all 2nd-3rd places will grant you the tournament).

If you find yourself stuck on a circuit, like Chengou Project or Sebenco Climb, try to play it on Speed Lap

to improve your feeling with the circuit.

Also, find at least a couple of ships you're confortable with, and be sure to play a good number of races

with them, this will work forward for some boring trophies about Loyalty points. My personal chioces were Icaras

for all the Time Trials and Speed Lap events and for the Venom/Flash races, then Harimau for Rapier/Phantom races.

However, there's a good number of ships to try (Mirage, AG System, Feisar, Assegai for example) so feel free

to experiment. As a general rule for all the other sections, don't waste too much your Loyalty points by using

a lot of ships; the maximum you have to reach with all the ships to secure the platinum is 8.000, so if you

reach this target with a ship you know you're unconfortable with, avoid taking it later in the game.

There are other trophies that you can easily obtain by playing through Campaign: by executing your first barrel

roll you're awarded with the Happy Accident? trophy; win a race with Pilot Assist on for Rookie Reward (i

suggest you to try your first race on Moa Therma for this one); and after any race, simply press :square:

and take a photo of your ship for the Smile Please trophy.

By the end of this section, you should have at least 14 trophies on your count:

Uplift

Warped

Frenzy

Vertigo

Head Rush

Speed Freak

Dropzone

Meltdown

Campaign Legend

Elite Campaign Legend

1 Gold Medal won, 86 to go...

Happy Accident?

Rookie Reward

Smile Please

2) Racebox (7 trophies)

Probabily you have finished Campaign with more trophies than i wrote, however if for some miracolus reason you don't have them, you'll get them in the next parts. First, go to Moa Therma and execute a barrel roll on the last curve to get Flatland Flyer; then, play a single race on Flash/Rapier/Phantom speed and aim to destroy the last 2 ships on the group to get Double Kill. Play a single race on Chengou Project on Novice difficult with Icaras, and be eliminated for the Deadly Momentum trophy

Go to Options, change the motion sensor sensibility to "pitch and steer" and play any Novice race on Venom by using only the motion sensor for Motion Master (remember to change settings again after you do it). Then, set up an 8 race tournament with the circuits you're better on (i choose Anulpha Pass and Moa Therma only) and play it on Skilled difficult. Be sure to win all the races (if you have managed Elite Campaign Legend before this, you won't have any difficult at all) and grab Tournament Ace trophy.

For Arcade Perfect and Gemini, you need at least a second controller, and a second player if you want. Set up a 2 player split-screen on Elite difficult and Phantom speed on all the 16 tracks of the game (8 normal and 8 inverted). The split-screen Phantom speed is dramatically lower than normal Phantom, so, if you've managed to win all the Phantom events for ECL, you won't have any problem at all. Plus, if you play as the second player, your victory will still count for Arcade Perfect, and the enemy AI will literally ignore you, making things even more easier for you. So, start the race, let the first player on the starting grid, and run the race as the second player. Once you've completed your race, simply grab the other controller and go destroying the other ship to end the race.

This will grant you the Arcade Perfect trophy. Play at least other 4 split-screen races to Gemini.

By the end of this section, you should have got at least the following trophies:

Flatland Flyer

Double Kill

Deadly Momentum

Motion Master

Tournament Ace

Arcade Perfect

Gemini

bringing your total count to 21 trophies.

3) Zone (3 trophies)

Time for getting in the Zone. As you probabily know, Anulpha Pass is your best choice for these trophies. It's not important which ship you choose, so the best choice is to change ship frequently in order to get Loyalty points for all the ships. By playing a lot of races before this, you probabily learn how to airbrake and sideshift properly, and this will come in hand when you run for the AirBraker. The Own the Zone trophy will naturally comes by playing a lot of times for the other two. The only advice i can give to you is: don't stop. Even if you're low on energy, don't quit the race and try to reach the higher Zone you can; this will improve your feelings on higher speeds. Also, try to beat AirBraker before Zone Zeus, this will higher improve your braking times.

By the end of this section, you should have got at least the following trophies:

Own the Zone

AirBraker

Zone Zeus

bringing your total count to 24 trophies.

4) Beat Zico (3 trophies)

Another hard part. A lot of people consider this one to be the hardest trophy of the game, and one of the hardest ever. I'm a little bit struggled with ECL about difficult, however this is a pain indeed. There's a lot of videos and guides out there that will definitely help you for this trophy, the only advice i can give to you is to master the 3 most important points of the run (the double barrel roll near the beginning, the barrel roll on the intersection, and the final barrel roll before the end) and string them togheter for a decent time.

Other than Beat Zico, you'll definitely going to get the Lapped Out trophy by doing a single session of 99 laps on Anulpha Pass. If for some miracles you managed to beat Zico before 99 laps, just continue running, or, better, turn Pilot Assist on, find something for keeping pressed the X button, and go enjoying your trophy. Altought is near to impossible you haven't obtained Keep Rollin' before, all the barrel rolls you'll do for beating Zico will definitely secure you this trophy.

By the end of this section, you should have got at least the following trophies:

Lapped Out

Keep Rollin'

Beat Zico

bringing your total count to 27 trophies.

5) Online (5 trophies)

It's STRONGLY requested to have someone for boosting up the following trophies, as this will make thing easier for you. By the way, you definitely have to find 7 partners for Blind Brigade, so make full use of the 2 threads on this section for your purpose.

Here you can find the links for the trophy boosting thread and for arrange your Bling Brigade race:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wipeout-hd/2405-trophy-boosting-thread.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wipeout-hd/14711-find-bling-brigade-partners.html

Start a 12 races tournament with a friend and win at least 10 races on it. This will secure you Enduance and Connected 1 & 2. Be sure to play with ships you need to build Loyalty points with, as this will easily unlock some skins you're missing. Also, if you're boosting these trophies, make the other player choose for the Icaras, and try to take him down as many times as you can. Continue to race for destroying his ship and you will finally get the AG Assassin trophy.

If you have followed this guide, you must have unlocked the Campaign skin for all the ships (is the silver one you can select by pressing :l1: when you choose a ship, obtained by getting any medal of any difficult on all the 87 Campaign events). Use the thread on this section to arrange a single race with other 7 people that have the same skin as you. End the race (you don't have to win it, just reach the end) and get the Bling Brigade trophy.

By the end of this section, you should have got at least the following trophies:

Endurance

Connected 1

Connected 2

Bling Brigade

AG Assassin

bringing your total count to 32 trophies.

6) Cleaning up (3-6 trophies)

Last, it's time for some boring trophies related to Loyalty points. You should have got two or three of this ones before in the game, however in this section you'll definitely get them. First, if you've archivied at least 10.000 Loyalty points with a team, you have unlocked the 2097 & Wip3out HUDs. Be sure to win a race with both of them, and you will obtain Thanks for the Memory. Then, check your ships, and be sure that all of them have at least 8.000 Loyalty points, except the one you're aiming at WipEout Disciple with (that normally will have more than 8.000 points on it).

If some ships doesn't have the required number of points, you can boost them throught a series of full Speed Lap session, using the technique i described before to let the game running for you. Each session will take about 45 minutes (on Phantom speed), and will secure you about 2.700 Loyalty points, so you should reach 8.000 after 3 full sessions. Otherwise, you can run the speed laps by yourself and try to get as many perfect laps as possible, this will grant you a final score of about 5.000 points, but it can become very boring, so choose what you prefer. Doing this will secure you the Mercenary trophy (altough you've probabily got it before this), and, if you've unlocked the Campaign skin, Livery Liberation. Plus, if you haven't obtained Sponge until this point, simply find someting to keep the :circle: button pressed during your Speed Laps attempt, and you will easily absorb 500 turbos and get the trophy.

Now, pick the ship with the highest Loyalty level you have, and Speed Lap with it until you get the WipEout Disciple trophy. Otherwise, do a lot of Zones, Races or whatever you like until you reach 100.000 points with that ship. It won't take much time general, if you keep using the same ship for Campaign and Racebox you should have about 50.000 points on it. Take your time and you'll finally reach the Trascendance

By the end of this section, you should have got the following trophies:

Sponge

Mercenary

Thanks for the Memory

Livery Liberation

WipEout Disciple

Trascendence

bringing your grand total count to 38 trophies.

This ends my road map of WipEout HD. I accept any suggestion/correction/information/tips you will give to me to improve this guide, and i hope it will be useful to all of you.

Within Wipeout HD there are 5 very different game modes to get stuck into, these are as follows:

Single Race – This is like any other normal races. You just challenge yourself on a certain track racing laps.

Tournament – This consists of many single races. Within a tournament you will be tested on different tracks, the winner at the end of the tournament is the person who has the highest aggregate score. You get the most points for finishing 1st, less for second and so on.

Speed Lap & Time Trial – These are separate game modes but are almost the in what they require you to do. Within these you basically play alone challenging yourself to beat the clock within a certain time.

Zone mode – Here you have to navigate around a certain track doing as many laps as you can without blowing your ship up. The catch here is as you progress through each lap you will become faster and faster.

These following trophies need to be done in campaign mode. You have to acquire a medal in all cells in the certain level. It doesn’t matter what medal you get so long as you obtain atleast one.

If you are having any trouble then change the difficulty to what suits you best.

1 Gold Medal won, 86 to go... - Obtain your first gold medal.

This is very easy. If you are going for a very easy gold medal then I suggest doing any race in Uplift. The races in there are very easy and the computer goes really slow. For an even easier medal you can change the computer difficulty to novice.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/018.jpg (B)

Flatland Flyer - Execute and land a successful barrel roll on Moa Therma.

To successfully perform a barrel roll you have to press right then left on your D-pad very quickly or move your analogue stick from left to right very quickly. This can only be done when in the air off of a jump or fall.

This is a hard trophy for some because Moa Therma is a flat track and do not know where the best place is for this trophy. Fortunately there is a video that shows you where to get the trophy, here it is:

[ame=

]
[/ame]

Try to slow down when you get near the speed pad to line yourself up with it. Now go over the speed pad whilst pulling back on the controls to give you a little extra lift. Now whilst in the air perform your barrel roll. You have to land the move for it to count and for you to get the trophy.

NOTE: There is a pick up that gives you a big speed boost. If you use this as you are about to go over the lift you will get more height.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/019.jpg (B)

Own the Zone - Get 20 consecutive perfect zones in a single Zone Mode event.

To get a perfect zone you have to continue to do laps without crashing once, you are not even allowed to scrape the sides. The best track to do this on is Anulpha Pass because it is pretty much straight except for a few bends. On the last straight there is a short-cut on the right hand side, take this to avoid a lot of bends on the floor. I also suggest trying to avoid all speed pads because you could speed away into a wall.

You may want to do a few practice laps first to help you get used to the layout of the track and will help you understand how much turn you will need on certain corners.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/020.jpg (B)

Double Kill - Eliminate at least two opponents in any race.

I think this trophy can be done online or offline. Doing it against the computer offline will be the better option because they are easier to destroy. So to eliminate an opponent you need to pick up a weapon, pick one up by flying over the red sections on different parts of the track. Press :square: to fire your weapon, each weapon does different things so it will take a few hits on the same enemy to eliminate him.

If you are having trouble with this trophy then I suggest posting for help in the boosting thread here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wipeout-hd/2405-trophy-boosting-thread.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/030.jpg (B)

Endurance - Finish an online 12 race tournament.

For this trophy you can either join an online tournament (make sure it has 12 races) or create your own 12 race tournament. The trophy only requires you to finish the whole tournament so don’t worry if you don’t win any races.

This can be hard if you can’t find a 12 race tournament or if everyone keeps dropping out, therefore I suggest using the boosting thread to find partners to help you.

Here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wipeout-hd/2405-trophy-boosting-thread.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/031.jpg (B)

Connected 1 - Finish 10 online races.

This requires you to complete ANY 10 online races. Once again you only have to finish 10 so don’t worry if you do not win. Just go online, join any game and finish the race, do this 10 times and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/009.jpg (S)

Campaign Legend - Obtain a gold medal for every cell in Race Campaign.

As it says you need to get a gold medal in ALL cells in campaign mode, there are 87 in total. This one will take a little bit of time so you will need patience. To help win your races you should always look for shortcuts, fly over the speed bumps for a little speed boost & collect the weapon pickups to help slow down and eliminate your opponents.

TIP: This trophy does not require you to do it on any specific difficulty so if you are ever struggling you can play against the computer on novice difficulty.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/021.jpg (S)

Airbraker - Reach Zone 50 (Subsonic) in Zone Mode on any track using only airbrakes and sideshift. Motion sensor controls must be turned off.

This is quite a hard trophy to obtain but if you keep practicing and practicing you will achieve it over time. So for this trophy you are only allowed to use the :r2: & :l2: buttons whilst in zone mode. If you double tap either :r2: or :l2: your ship will quickly shift left or right, this helps in getting round corners and helps avoid crashing into walls.

I suggest trying to go for this trophy on Anulpha Pass, it is a straight track with only a few bends so you will find it easy to navigate. Go for a few test runs first aswell to help you get use to the tracks turns and straights etc, you can also use these test laps to help you get used to steering with the :r2: & :l2: buttons.

If you accidently use the analogue sticks or the D-pad to steer then this will cancel out the zone mode, therefore you will have to restart from scratch.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/022.jpg (S)

Tournament Ace - Win every race of an 8 stage Racebox tournament on Skilled or Elite difficulty.

So for this trophy you need to set up a racebox tournament consisting of 8 stages (races). When setting it up also make sure you put it on skilled difficulty or elite difficulty, I would do it on skilled difficulty because it is much easier. It doesn’t matter which tracks you choose to race on, however if there are any where you think you are really good at then why not specifically put them into the tournament.

Once again you should always try to hit each speed bump for a little boost and always try to collect the weapons to eliminate your opponents. If you ever happen to lose a lot of health then absorb any weapons by pressing :circle: to get a health boost, this will help you stay alive with and keep you with a chance of winning. Unfortunately if you lose just one race you will have to restart from scratch.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/033.jpg (S)

Connected 2 -Win 10 online races.

This trophy is a step up from ‘connected 1’. The difference here is instead of finishing 10 online races you have to WIN 10 online races. I would suggest joining online games that are set up on the lower speed classes with fewer people in the lobby.

When racing I would also suggest trying to collect as many weapon power ups as possible, when you have these they can help you slow the opposition down or even eliminate them from the race. Also fly over the blue sections for a speed boost!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/034.jpg (S)

Lapped Out - Complete 99 laps in a single Racebox, Speed Lap session.

This is an easy silver trophy but may be a tiny bit boring. This requires you to finish 99 laps in a racebox speed lap session. You need to do all 99 laps in one go for this to count. I suggest putting the settings on a faster speed class because it will help you do this much faster, also don’t forget to aim for the blue sections for an extra speed boost.

You can go for this trophy separately or when aiming for ‘Beat Zico’ & ‘WipEout® Disciple'.

AG Assassin - Eliminate 50 online opponents.

This trophy can be obtained through any online mode. As it says you have to eliminate 50 opponents from an online game. This doesn’t mean eliminate them completely, it just means ‘kill’ them & they can respawn. For this trophy you will have to pick up the weapons by flying over the red sections on the track. When you have a weapon press :square: to fire, you will have different attacks depending on what the game gives you, it is random.

There are two ways to go for this trophy:

1) Keep playing online games and fly whatever way you want whilst not worrying about winning. Fly to any weapon pickups you can and try your best to destroy your opponents. Doing it this way may take time, therefore I recommend method the second method

2) Boosting. Post in the boosting thread for this game to get a partner to play online with. Now just ask this player to enter a game with you and just sit near you, now just allowing keep on attacking him until the trophy pops up. I suggest sitting near a weapon pickup because it will give you a constant supply of weapons.

NOTE: Sometimes you will not get a weapon, when this happens press :circle: to absorb it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/036.jpg (S)

WipEout® Disciple - Obtain 100,000 loyalty points for any team.

This one is easy to get but can be time consuming. You will get loyalty points as you progress through campaign mode & as you set up your own races. You can decide to use one ship constantly which will get you a lot of loyalty points.

TIP: This is the way I got a lot of loyalty points, it is a little bit time consuming but get you a lot of loyalty points quickly. I set up a speed lap session with 99 laps in. Simply complete the full 99 laps and you can get over 4000 points each time. Depending on how many points you already have you may only need to do this a few times.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/010.jpg (G)

Elite Campaign Legend - Obtain a gold medal for every cell in Race Campaign on Elite difficulty.

This trophy is a step up from the ‘Campaign Legend’ trophy. This time you need to get a gold medal in all cells in the campaign mode on ELITE difficulty. All of the races that can be done on elite difficulty will need to be completed on elite difficulty, this includes the zone events and the speed lap events.

Once again like all other races I would recommend you try and hit every speed pad you can, collect any weapons you can and use them when necessary and also try to use the :r2: & :l2: buttons more often. These can help you turn corners more quickly and sharply. Also double tapping one of them will quickly shift you to the left or right (depending on which one you double tapped), this will also help you round corners and will help you steer away from the sides.

If you need anymore help, visit this discussion thread for any info: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/wipeout-hd/18026-elite-campaign-discussion-thread.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/023.jpg (G)

Zone Zeus - In Zone Mode, reach Zone 75 on any track.

This requires alot of concentration & patience. Your aim is to reach a high level as you race around a certain track until you crash or reach your target. The level required is zone 75. As you go around each lap you will start to become faster and faster, this is the reason why so many find this so hard.

I would recommend trying this on the Anulpha Pass track. This is because it is almost straight most of the way and does not require as many turns as other tracks do.

As you start getting to the higher levels I recommend using :l2: & :r2: more. These will turn your ship really quickly when going around corners so it will help you steer away from crashing into the sides. Also try to avoid hitting the speed bumps because they may end up boosting you into the wall causing you to crash and lose a lot of health. On Anulpha Pass there is a little high ledge to the right just before you are nearing the starting line, I recommend going up there because it is a straight line and much safer to avoid crashing.

Another good tip that some of you may find strange is to play on a big T.V. This just helps you to see better and more clearly. Keep practicing and this should eventually become yours.

Check out this very useful video for the layout of the track and the location of the high up straight ledge.

Arcade Perfect - Finish 1st on all 16 tracks in Phantom class Racebox races on Elite difficulty.

This is the easiest trophy out of these 3 but it is still hard in its own way. This trophy requires you to win in all tracks on the fastest and hardest difficulty settings, these are phantom class racebox & elite. Luck plays a huge part in this trophy because like in campaign you will need to gamble on turns alot and hope you get the perfect attacking/defensive weapons at the right time.

As you play through each track a few times you will notice to see the best routes to take and how best to take a corner. Short cuts are kind of rare on tracks but there are a few so just try to see where the AI sometimes goes and follow them. Try to hit all of the speed bumps you can to give you that extra speedy edge that will be needed. Also do not underestimate the use of the :l2: & :r2: buttons when turning corners, they can help you take corners more sharply and will stop you from crashing a lot of the time.

TIP: A really good trick to getting this trophy easily is to play with two controllers or just use one but turn the other controller on as though someone is racing with you. This slows the AI down dramatically and will also give them another ship to aim at when they fire their weapons!

I managed to get all 16 tracks done in 2 hours using this method.

Beat Zico - Equal or beat the lap time of 30.82 seconds on Anulpha Pass (Forward), Speed Lap, Venom using the Piranha.

For me this was the hardest trophy to obtain within the whole game. You have to race on the track Anulpha Pass whilst using the ship called 'Piranha'. Your aim whilst racing is to beat a lap time of 30.82 seconds. I recommend setting up a speed lap session with 99 laps in, this will then give you 99 laps to try and beat the required lap time.

TURN PILOT ASSIST OFF!!

The best route for this trophy would be:

1) – Do 1 lap around and save your speed boost. As you get near to the starting/finishing line you should use it. This gives you a big boost and an extra valuable second on the next lap.

2) – As you go around the first corner try to hit all 3 speed pads, the first is in the middle of the track and the following two are on the outside lane. After you have hit the last one try to move your ship back to the left hand side of the track.

3) – Now there is a bum in the track. If you hit it right, tilt your ship upwards & use your speed boost, you should be able to fly into the air giving you enough time to do your 1st barrel roll.

4) – As you land a barrel roll you get a speed boost. Hopefully you will land at the top of a ramp going down to another part of the track. You should fly off of this giving you some more air that will enable you to your 2nd barrel roll.

5) – As you land try to hit the speed bump and fly close to the right hand side of the track to turn the corner nice and tight.

6) – THIS IS NOW THE HARDEST PART TO PERFORM!! As you go around the left try to hit two speed bumps in one go, head to the left after the speed bumps to the high ledge shortcut. Head to the RIGHT of this ledge where it is slightly higher, you are aiming to try and get high enough to quickly perform your 3rd barrel roll. You need to quickly do the barrel roll because you only have about 1 second air time, as you come back down try to manoeuvre yourself back into the middle of the ledge.

7) – Now try to keep on the ledge for a few seconds until you have to jump off of the left hand side, here you will have to perform your 4th barrel roll. Try to land on the speed pads at the bottom for a further speed boost. Now just cross the finishing line and hope that your time was under the required target.

This is another trophy that requires you to have patience but with practice you should get it over time.

Please check out this useful video which I have tried to describe as best I can. Use this to see the layout of the track and where to do each barrel roll correctly: [ame=

Livery Liberation - Unlock every ship skin in the game.

This is definitely one of the easiest golds to get in the game. You have to earn enough loyalty points for each team to unlock all of their ship skins. I think the required amount is 8,000 loyalty points for each of the 12 teams available.

For an easy way to get quick loyalty points you should set up a speed lap session with 99 laps in. Simply complete the full 99 laps and you can get over 4000 points each time, you should unlock the campaign skin for a team after doing this twice through.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/000.jpg (P)

Transcendence - Earn all the trophies in the game.

Simply obtain all other trophies in the game to earn this platinum trophy.

SECRET TROPHIES

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/011.jpg (H) (B)

Deadly Momentum - Get eliminated in a race on Novice difficulty.

This is an easy trophy to obtain, as it says you have to get eliminated in any race but on novice difficulty. So go set up a race and make sure it is on novice difficulty. Now I suggest crashing into the wall on purpose to get your life down quickly, now sit still and wait for the computer opponents to drive past you. Hopefully here they will shoot something at you to finish you off, if not then they may even leave some mines lying on the floor, just drive into these mines to eliminate yourself

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/012.jpg (H) (B)

Smile Please - Use Photo Mode to take a photo.

This trophy can be gotten at any time during any race. Simply press the START button to pause the game and go to photo mode. Now all you have to do is take a picture of anything. Save it and you should get the trophy

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/013.jpg (H) (B)

Rookie Reward - Win any race with Pilot Assist on.

Pilot assist will help you a lot during many races. It basically helps you stay away from the side walls to keep you on the track more and help you turn corners more.

Got into the game options to turn Pilot Assist on. Now all you have to do is play any race and win.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/015.jpg (H) (B)

Happy Accident? - Execute your first successful barrel roll.

See the trophy ‘Keep Rollin’

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/016.jpg (H) (B)

Thanks for the Memory - Win a Campaign, Racebox or Online race using each HUD style variation.

There are 3 different HUD styles available in the game. The default one that is used from the start and 2 that need to be unlocked. Here are the other 2 and how you can unlock them:

1) Wipeout 2097 HUD – To unlock this you need to have earned a minimum of 6,000 loyalty points on any ship.

2) Wip3out HUD – To unlock this you need to have earned a minimum of 10,000 loyalty points on any ship.

When you have unlocked these, go to the game options and switch the HUD style. All you have to do now is win one race with each style and you will earn your trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/017.jpg (H) (B)

Motion Master - Win a Campaign or Racebox race with the motion sensor option set to 'pitch and steering'. Directional buttons, Left Stick & Pilot Assist cannot be used to obtain this trophy.

Go to the options menu and make sure to turn your Pilot-Assist off if it isn’t already. Now change the setting to what the trophy requires. This setting will basically turn on the sixaxis for the controller so you can then steer/control your ship just by tilting your controller. DON’T touch the normal directional controls such as analogue during the race because this will cancel your progress, you will have to restart the race if you do this.

Now just win the race, try to hit all speed bumps to get a speed boost & try to collect a lot of weapons to slow your enemy down. If you are having any trouble with this then just change the computer’s difficulty to novice.

Mercenary - Get at least 500 loyalty points for each team.

Each team is referring to each ship type available in the game. To unlock all of the ships you will have to play through the campaign mode completing each race, the 12 teams available are:

AG Systems

Assegai

Auricom

EG-X

Feisar

Goteki 45

Harimau

Icarus

Mirage

Piranha

Qirex

Triakis

So after unlocking all of the ships you will have to gain loyalty points for them. Loyalty points can be gained by completing races & doing zone modes etc. Simply get 500 loyalty points for each team and you will get your trophy.

TIP: I suggest setting up a speed lap race session that consists of about 15-20 laps. Just complete the laps separately with the 12 teams and you should gain the amount of points required for the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/027.jpg (H) (B)

Keep Rollin' - Execute 100 successful barrel rolls.

To successfully perform a barrel roll you have to press right then left on your D-pad very quickly or move your analogue stick from left to right very quickly. On a lot of the tracks in the game there are ramps/jumps & falls. On any one of these you can perform a barrel roll if you are high enough. The best track to do this on would be Chenghou project (forward). There is a big drop towards the end of the track, do this whilst falling.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/028.jpg (H) (B)

Gemini - Complete 20 two-player, split-screen races.

This trophy requires you to play with a friend, this is optional however and can be done by yourself. All you have to do is set up a split-screen race with a friend and compete against each other to the finish line, you both have to finish the race for the trophy to count.

To do this by yourself is more frustrating but is done very easily. Just set up the split-screen race with two players on any track. Start the race and control your ship with controller number 1 leaving the second controller alone for the time being. Once you have completed the race with the first controller you will now have to finish it with the second controller.

Once each ship has passed the finishing line the race will end, do this another 19 times for the trophy to unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/029.jpg (H) (B)

Sponge - Absorb 500 items.

To get an item you simply have to fly over the red sections located on each track to absorb an item and press :circle:. Absorbing an item will give you a health boost so keep this in mind when you are taking a lot of damage. You can absorb items in all game modes except zone mode, therefore this may come without you even knowing it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/032.jpg (H) (B)

Bling Brigade - Finish an eight player online race with all players using ships that are displaying Campaign Skins.

This trophy is quite hard to get and very frustrating. As the description states you need to FINISH an online race that consists of 8 players who ALL have to have the campaign skins selected on their ship.

The campaign skins are unlocked during the campaign mode and I think the minimum requirement to unlock them is to get atleast a bronze medal in all cells. There are two ways really of getting this trophy:

1) Simply keep constantly playing online games hoping that eventually you will enter one where everyone has the campaign skins selected.

2) Use the boosting thread on here and the dedicated Bling brigade thread to find partners and organise a date when you can get this trophy. Here are the two links:

All credit goes to Olsen77 for this DLC guide.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/38.jpg (B)

Hold Your Fire - Reach stage 10 without firing on any track, in any Detonator event.

Detonator is one of the three new modes in the Fury DLC. It is sort of like Zone, but you get cannons and have to destroy and ever increasing amount of mines and one bomb per stage (lap). The two weapons you have at your disposal are your cannons (:square:) and an EMP (:l1:). The EMP is charged up by hitting the boost pads on the track. Hitting anything depletes your health, but you are helped by the fact you get some health back at the end of each stage.

There are 14 stages per event. Here, you'll have to get to (not complete) stage 10 without firing your cannon or EMP. Your manuevering skills will be put to the test here as you'll have no way of destroying the mines. Use a short track. Syncopia or Corridon 12 are both great choices.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/39.jpg (B)

Sharpshooter - Score a hit with every round in an entire cannon clip in any Detonator event.

You have 15 rounds per cannon clip and you fire both at the same time. Every round you fire has to hit. It's ok if one of the two shots doesn't hit, as long as one of the two does. Lightly tapping :square: will fire one round. You can go about this two different ways. You can get it done early on or later after a few stages. If you do it early, your aim has to be excellent and you probably won't be able to get away with firing more than one round at a time. If you do it later on, don't destroy any mines for a few rounds so there will be more targets available. You'll have a better chance of getting a hit, but you'll also be moving faster and have more mines to avoid.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/40.jpg (B)

Da Bomb - Destroy all 14 bombs in any Detonator event.

You don't have to complete all 14 stages to get this, just the first 13. But you cannot miss a bomb on any stage. The bombs don't come back, so if you miss one, restart. Always keep your EMP fully charged and use it if you get a warning that a bomb is near and you don't see it, or turn a cornerand are about to miss the bomb. Most of the bombs should be pretty easy to line up with your ship though. They're just like killing mines, but they take a couple of more shots.

Do not try to do this trophy on tracks that have more than one route. Anulpha Pass (Forward), Ubermall, and Corridon 12 are ones you shouldn't even attempt this on. There is a chance that the bomb will be placed on the alternate route and you'll miss it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/41.jpg (B)

Zone Battle Legend - Win a single player, Racebox, Zone Battle event with a target of 40 on Talons Junction (Forward).

Zone Battle is another of the new modes. This is basically Zone, but with a couple of changes. The first is that other racers have been added. You'll be competing to see who is the fastest to get a certain zone level (in this case, 40). The second change is how you progress through the zones. In Zone, every 10 seconds or so, you would move to the next zone. Here, you progress very slowly that way (0.1 zone at a time). To advance faster, you'll have to hit the boost pads. These will build up in a bar at the bottom of your HUD. When the HUD is building up, you'll see how many zones you can advance (:square:) on the left side, or much health you can absorb (:circle:) on the right. Absorbing restores the amount of health you see on your HUD and gives you a temporary shield. When the bar is full, you can advance a maximum of eight zones.

Go to Racebox in the main menu, and input the correct settings to get this trophy. Set the difficulty to Novice if you want to make it really easy on yourself.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/42.jpg (B)

Just Passing Through - Pass through 15 Zone Barriers in any Zone Battle event.

When ever you advance through zones by pushing :square:, you leave behind a Zone Barrier (the black octagon). For this, you have to pass through 15 of the Zone Barriers left by yourself or other racers. You HAVE to have your shields (:circle:) on to pass through a Zone Barrier. Otherwise, you'll lose most of your health. The other important thing is to do this on Skilled or Elite. Because it's basically Zone and there are no weapons, the higher the difficulty, the easier this is. At the higer difficulties, the AI racers are more likely to leave behind Barriers and to avoid them. On Novice, the AI won't leave many behind and crash into them pretty often.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/43.jpg (B)

Zen Evasion - Win any single player Zone Battle event with a minimum target of 25 without absorbing.

This is really easy. Go to Racebox and set the track to something pretty short (Corridon 12 or Syncopia are good here). Make sure the other settings are correct. The AI can be set to anything, but Novice is much easier. Do NOT push :circle: at any time during the race and be the first to the set number of zones.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/44.jpg (B)

Elimin18 - Eliminate 18 opponents in a single player Eliminator event.

Eliminator is the third new mode. You have to get to a set number of points by eliminating other racers with the weapons in the game. Each time you hit another racer with a weapon, you get points, but you get more points when you destroy another ship. You also get a few points for completing laps. If you get too far ahead of the racers, flip yourself around by pushing :l1: and going straight at them. Every weapon in the game is in play here.

Go to Racebox and select Eliminator. Set the target score to the maximum. Choose a track you're familiar with (I chose Anulpha Pass Forward). Don't complete any laps. Camp out in front of the finish line and fire at the other racers as they approach you. You have a set number of points to work with and eliminations take a huge chunk. You don't need to lose the availble points to completing laps. Just go back and forth between two weapon pads and destroy ships as they come at you. It'll take some practice and a bit of time, so be patient.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/45.jpg (B)

Cannon and On - Hit 5 different opponents with rounds from the same Cannon clip in a single player Eliminator event.

When you go over a weapon pad, the good old cannon is one of the common weapons you'll get. Like in the original game, you'll have 30 rounds to work with, so make them count. This is pretty easy if you have a cluster of racers. Just pull up behind them and spray with the cannon. If the other racers are a little more spread out, get behind one, tap :square:, and pass to go to the next one. Accuracy is what matters the most here.

Stay on Target - Stay locked onto an opponent with a Missile or a Leech Beam for 30 seconds in a single player Eliminator event.

Choose a track that you’re familiar with and doesn’t have many sharp or hairpin turns (I chose Anulpha Pass Forward, but Syncopia is another good choice). Once you get a lock with either a missile or the leech beam, just follow behind that ship and try to stay as close to them as possible without passing them or letting them go off the screen. Once you go over 30 seconds, the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/47.jpg (B)

The Pure Four - Obtain 50,000 points on each of the following tracks in Zone Mode - Pro Tozo, Mallavol, Corridon 12 and Syncopia.

Go to Racebox and set up a Zone round for each of these tracks. The more points you get early on, the better off you’ll be if you struggle with Zone mode. Get as many perfect laps as you can at the start, hit as many boost pads as you can, and do a few barrel rolls to up your points early on. None of the tracks are overly difficult to get 50,000 points on, with Corridon 12 and Syncopia being the easiest.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/48.jpg (B)

Stats Life - Attain and view every stat in the game.

This trophy is confusing as hell. After you load up Wipeout with the Fury pack, go to Options, then Extras, and then Statistics. Where ever you see a 0, you need to add something there. You’ll probably have to do a tournament with the new tracks (Talon’s Junction Forward/Reverse, The Amphiseum Forward/Reverse, Modesto Heights Forward/Reverse, and Tech De Ra Forward/Reverse ) and do a round of Zone Battle, Eliminator, and Detonator (you might have to do a round on each of the tracks dedicated to these modes as well, Pro Tozo, Mallavol, Corridon 12, and Syncopia). If after doing all of that the trophy doesn’t unlock, go back to the Stats page and look through every page. Either you missed one or the trophy will unlock when you’re looking at the Stats page.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/49.jpg (B)

Amphi-scenic Route - Successfully perform a barrel roll whilst navigating the Amphiseum (Reverse) shortcut in any event.

Go to Racebox, and set up a Speed Lap on Amphiseum Reverse. Make sure that your motion sensor is set to Pitch Only. When get to the spot on the following video, pull back on the DualShcok to make your nose go up and hit a speed boost towards the billboard. While you’re in the air, do a barrel roll. (Thanks to Darkdrium777 for the video)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/21/50.jpg (B)

Fury Campaign Legend - Obtain a medal in every cell in the Fury Campaign.

This is like Campaign Legend and Elite Campaign Legend, only much easier. You just have to get a medal in each event, it doesn’t have to be gold and there are no difficulty requirements for any of them. The problem is that the Fury Campaign is almost as long as the campaign that came with HD (HD you needed 87 medals, Fury you need 80). Some of the events will be familiar (Speed Laps, Zone, Single Race, and Tournaments), but it’s mostly the new events (Detonator, Eliminator, and Zone Battle). All of the events are on the new tracks as well.

Zone trophies:

It should also be noted that Syncopia in the Fury add on is a great track to get the Zone trophies for the original game. I couldn't get any Zone trophies, including Zone Zeus using the glitch, so I'm doing them with that Fury track.

AG Assassin:

Easy with the Fury add on if you play Eliminator.

And I'm not sure about the Elite campaign trophy for the original game, but I think someone said a Fury vehicle makes it easier to win. Maybe someone could look into it if they can before I get Fury tomorrow.

Now if only I could get Beat Zico... it'll be the only trophy keeping me from platinum.

Fastest way to get Loyality is Detonator IMO. Full run on Syncopia always get you at least 2000 points and two runs of it are much faster than a full 99 round speed lap session.

Also Elimnator for AG Assasin. Takes about 2 hours.

I'd say it was Zone Battle for me.

Expert, 55 Zones + your fav course.

Even if you dont come first, you will still net around 1500 points for a fun <5 min race.

***EDIT***

Must be expert for the x3 bonus.

Remember you dont have to win, just hit high zones. Its allot easier than normal zone since you can heal.

You have to be fully locked on RED for 30 secs. Just got it.

By the way, this guide is awesome. Good job Olsen77 for the add on stuff. I have been going thru it pretty easily following your guide. Getting Fury trophy is making me want to get my remaining trophies in HD. Which are all the gold ones :(
