Trophy Breakdown: (B)-8-(S)-7-(G)-8-(P)-1-

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Character Creation.

Since this is the very first thing a new player will do it is being added to the forefront of the Walkthrough. The entire time you devote to WKC from start to Platinum will be spent with the same character you create at the beginning of the game. It is essential that you understand before creating your avatar that everything is permanent once you've completed the process. If you're 100 hours into the game and decide you're displeased with the size of your characters head, you cannot change it. You must be content with your characters appearance before starting the single-player game.

You can purchase a "Makeover Ticket" from the PlayStation Store for $4.99. This Ticket will allow you to make a limited one-time alteration to your characters appearance.

Step 2: Complete the Single-Player Story.

In order to gain access to buying and hosting online quests, you must first complete the single-player game. You can access GeoNet after Chapter 1, but you'll be limited to participating in quests that other people create up to GR 7 rank. Some players might find having to rely on other people to host the quests they need to be more of an inconvenience than a helpful perk, so I personally recommend getting everything unlocked offline first. It's a fairly short experience and nothing too incredibly challenging to get done, but doing so comes with lots of incentives. Completing the SP game also gives players useful insight into the storyline in which most of the online quests take place. As a result, it may be much easier to understand the context/backstory that questing provides. This will also allow players to utilize their characters more effectively while enjoying the multi-player portion of the game.

Initially, the learning curve may seem overwhelming but this is somewhat offset by the inclusion of tutorials which are presented to the player at the beginning of the game. It is recommended that you pay close attention to these tutorials as it will add a certain degree of efficiency to your progression through the storyline.

Playing through the single-player story in its entirety will be a fairly short experience. Even at a leisurely pace, most players will probably complete it within 10-15 hours on average. Making your way through the storyline will be straight-forward but I recommended that you post-pone attempting any and all sidequests for now. Although WKC has given players the ability to complete quests offline, you will quickly find that completing them in such a way as to obtain rewards of any significance (both trophies and quest loot) would be extremely difficult to accomplish by yourself. While you have the means to skip a significant portion of the in-game cutscenes, I'd advise against doing so. In many cases, important story sequences and plot elements are moved along via these scenes thus giving the player a sense of direction on where to go or how to proceed through a given situation. Skipping through these might cause confusion and disorient the player, particularly regarding your immediate goals or destinations.

Upon finishing the offline game for the first time you will obtain "Clear Data" on your save(s) and "New Game+" on the main menu. At this point you will then have to decide whether to jump online and begin the "grind" or play through the offline single-player game again under the "New Game+" save. Are there benefits to playing through the game again before hopping online?

You bet. There are 50 reasons why.

Step 3. "New Game+" Playing the Single-Player Story Again (Optional).

It is highly recommended you play through the storyline one more time before going online. There are 50 pieces of Guild Rank 7 & 8 armor/weapons you can aquire from Treasure Chests throughout the game, for free. 50 Chests from the first play-through now contain valuable gear that will significantly enhance your online gameplay experience once you've aquired the Rank to use them. There are several reasons why these items are important but one of the main ones is you will mostly likely not have the resources and materials to Bind (Synthesize) them in order to use the gear if you otherwise didn't possess them in the first place.

In order to play through the game again to take advantage of all the free gear you must start another game on the "New Game+" save file. Failing to do so will simply start a brand new game over again with a brand new character, and you don't want to do that.

NOTE: A detailed list of the GR 7 & 8 Treasure Chest locations in New Game+ will be made available in the Trophy Guide listed below.

Step 4: White Knight Chronicles - The Online Experience

Click here to find Questing partners.

This is where White Knight Chronicles truly shines and where most (if not all) of your trophies will be hunted. Now that you've finally gotten the single-player aspect of the game completed, you're ready to get online. At first glance though, you'll probably be in need of a little direction on what to do once you log onto GeoNet for the first time.

Keep in mind that no matter what you choose to do first the trophies will come very slowly. Everything in WKC requires a lot of time, patience and repetition. There are different starting points you can pursue initially but I'll outline detailed information in the Trophy Guide to help you get going so as to ease your transition from offline to online experience.

Since WKC is fairly open-ended with regards to the online side of the game, you may feel a little overwhelmed on what do to first. However, as expansive as the game may seem online, the progression to each trophy is fairly linear once you understand the requirements to obtain them. A good portion of the trophies will unlock in time just by consistently questing, however other trophies will require a much more detailed approach. While pursing the Platinum, there will be many activites you will engage in, most of which will be a persistent on-going process:

  • Leveling your Guild Rank up
  • S Ranking Quests
  • Harvesting
  • Binding
  • Building your Georama
  • Rebirthing (Reincarnation)
  • Collecting Guilder (Money)
  • Collecting Items
  • Collecting Armor and Weapons

The list goes on. But what to do first? Since each trophy warrants a detailed description in and of itself, we'll cover the recommendations and strategies in the Trophy Guide.

Understanding the White Knight Chronicles Trophy Set.

In order to prepare yourself for the WKC Trophy Set, you will need to include a strategy specifically tailored to your personal short and long-term goals. Having a general gameplan will shorten the amount of time needed to obtain the Platinum trophy and enhance your enjoyment with the game. And the sooner you aquire your own in-game "Road Map", the better. Keep in mind that there are no story-related trophies in WKC and in order to help promote efficient use of time, this guide will provide you with a sense of direction for each trophy.

Georama and its effect on the Trophy Set.

At the onset of your online experience you'll have access to the customization and development of your "Georama" - your personal Town. This feature is the heart of White Knight Chronicles in that all questing takes place in user-created Georamas (unless you automatch from the offline World Map). You may feel compelled to get involved with the construction of your Georama early on but this is highly advised against, at least for a while.

To facilitate a developed Georama requires considerable resources and Guilder, both of which you will have very little of upon first jumping online. There are great benefits for eventually building your Town later on in the game but those rewards wont become obtainable until your character development has reached advanced levels. Exclusive armor sets are available at GR 10/14/15 providing your Town is built having fulfilled certain conditions. However, be aware that aquiring these special pieces of armor involves a significant expense above and beyond the costs associated with your Georama development. This is just one of many examples of how players will need to establish a strategy for themselves, and one that includes a money-management system.

Due to the nature of the WKC Trophy Set, it is recommended that you save your Guilder for other things, such as character development and trophy-related purposes. Spending any money on your Georama early on and even at moderate levels could cripple your ability to obtain trophies in a much shorter time-frame. Building items and parts for your Town is extremely resource-intensive and you'll find yourself harvesting/farming for materials for dozens of hours to replenish what otherwise might have been needed for critical Binds/Equipment upgrades.

Collect 100 different items. A bronze ornament in the shape of a bag.

While there are no quick trophies in WKC, there are a couple that are fairly easy to aquire. You will most likely obtain this trophy during your offline campaign, but especially if you play through New Game+. Not long after you've begun your offline campaign, you'll discover the essentials of Harvesting (or Farming). This process is simply a method by which you collect a variety of different resources, materials and items from various sources within the the game world. Since Harvesting is a process that will be on-going throughout the game, you should be in the mindset to begin doing so very early on. You'll know when you're able to harvest items from any given source (ie, Trees, Rocks, Plants, Flowers, etc) because there will be sparkles floating above said sources. This will enable you begin the lengthy endeavor of collecting raw materials required for binding as well as eventually for selling.

The 2nd aspect of this (as well as the next 2 trophies) also pertains to the collection of items such as Potions. There are a significant variety of consumable drinks and items in the game, many of which will take a fair bit of time to aquire. But obtaining these items will count towards the trophies. All harvested and collected items are automatically sent to your "Item Storage" where they will remain until either used or sold.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/03.jpgItem Collectorhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Collect 300 different items. A silver ornament in the shape of a bag.

The 2nd trophy in the "Item Collecting" category. You will most likely not aquire this trophy until you're well on your way in character development and have spent a fair bit of time with the game. If you've been Harvesting regularly at most every opportunity (you have been, right?) then you'll see this trophy sooner rather than later. As you eventually gain Guild Rank more quests will open up for you and become available. As such, new materials will be Harvestable thus increasing the total count for this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/04.jpgItem Maniachttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Collect 600 different items. A gold ornament in the shape of a bag.

Expect this trophy to remain locked for quite a while. At this point, you should be well accustomed to Harvesting and have a good grasp of inventory management. While you don't always have the opportunity to farm materials while questing, you should continue to do so as much and as often as you can. Additionally, many Harvestable items considered uncommon or rare will not be available until you've advanced your Guild Rank and have gained access to higher-tiered quests.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/05.jpgEquipment Dabblerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Collect 50 different types of weapons / armor. A bronze ornament in the shape of a sword.

This trophy will unlock during your offline playthrough, and most certainly if you play through New Game+. As you progress through the single-player game, you will periodically aquire new weapons and armor. Be mindful to open as many Treasure Chests as possible as quite a few contain nice equipment (many of which serve to replace your existing gear). Being as thorough as possible in finding these Chests is paramount to the prevention of unnecessary spending of Guilder on store-bought equipment. However, having said that, you will more than likely still need to buy a few pieces of gear for yourself and/or your storyline npc's in order to be strong enough to survive the final levels of the game. Remember, the idea is to conserve Guilder so spend wisely and efficiently.

Collect 200 different types of weapons / armor. A silver ornament in the shape of a sword.

This trophy will most likely not be unlocked until access to the online portion of the game has been aquired. Spending Guilder at weapons & armor shops during your offline campaign would expedite this trophy but this is highly advised against. Since the emphasis is being placed on saving Guilder as well as an overall lack of funds obtained by natural means, you would most likely only be able to buy a few pieces of gear anyway. The strategy behind saving your money has numerous benefits but early on you'll want to have a decent cash-flow in the "bank" once you step foot into GeoNet for the first time.

Collect 500 different types of weapons / armor. A gold ornament in the shape of a sword.

For most players, this will be one of the last few trophies to unlock and one you shouldn't expect to see for quite some time. However, there are dozens and dozens of Accessories available for purchase offline at a variety of different Shops around the world. These items are very inexpensive and each one counts towards this trophy (as well as the other related trophies mentioned above). This is a great option to consider, particularly because it allows you to suppliment the need to bind high-tiered items with inexpensive trinkets, all of which count towards this trophy.

The pursuit of this trophy runs parallel to Phibianacci's Diamond (Bind 450 items) in that any equipment Bound throughout the game gives credit to the Equipment Maniac trophy as well.

Learn one entire set of Skills. Its bronze light shines from the soul of the wearer.

This trophy will come most likely at the latter part of your first single-player playthrough, but for sure during New Game+. At the onset of the game, you'll be given the opportunity to learn about Skill Points and your Skill Tree through Tutorials. Skill Points are obtained by leveling up, which of course you will do throughout the game. During the single-player aspect of the game you will have the opportunity to choose which set of Skills you want to learn first. For the sake of this trophy, it is advised that you invest all aquired Skill Points into 1 single category (ie, Bow, Longsword, etc). Having said that, make sure you unlock a few curative spells from the Divine Magic category or you'll be dependant on Potions and useless npc healing to keep your character upright.

As you spend Skill Points, more Spells, Abilities and Traits will unlock thus enabling you to develop and enhance your characters effectiveness in battle. Having a well-developed character (within your limitations and in your capacity) will be essential in surviving the final stages of the offline game. Once you've mastered a Skill Tree you will obtain a Star symbol next to the corresponding category. This will help keep you organized on what Skill Tree's you've mastered and what still needs to be completed. This will be something you'll most likely be keeping an eye on once the time comes to strategize your Rebirthing process.

Learn eight entire sets of Skills. Its gold light shines with the power of every technique.

This trophy will unlock at different times for everyone. The process of mastering all 8 Skill Tree sets will involve what's called "Rebirthing" or "Reincarnation", and will take a fair amount of time to accomplish. Since you're only given a finite amount of Skill Points to use (regardless of which Skill Trees you use them in) you must Rebirth in order to learn and eventually master other categories.

The Rebirthing experience comes with a small price but the rewards outweigh the temporary inconveniences therein. When you go through the Reincarnation process you are deleveled back to Level 35 and any Combos you've made on your Command Set are permanently erased. You are also stripped of your ability to use otherwise higher leveled equipment you've aquired along the way. However, you are also refunded all of your Skill Points but given an additional free 40 Points to spend. This bonus happens each time you Rebirth but only up to your 4th Reincarnation. Any additional subsequent Rebirthings will not reward the player with more Skills Points to use.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/10.jpgBronze Hornshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Slay 100 monsters. A trophy in the shape of a monster's horn.

It wont take you very long at all to unlock this trophy. You will undoubtedly aquire this trophy your first time through the single-player story but most definately through New Game+. While out in the field (World Map areas) or in quests you simply kill monsters and enemies present on the maps. Each kill counts towards the trophy regardless of how many of the same creatures you dispatch. Be mindful however of your characters abilities while alone when traversing each area. As you progress through the game more areas will be unlocked but along with that comes stronger enemies.

The strength of each enemy (and Bosses) is indicated by a color-coded symbol above them. This will enable you to determine whether or not it's wise to attempt certain encounters. However, there will be many instances where you're forced to pummel your way through a lot of enemies of varying degrees of difficulty in order to advance to your destination. How you choose to approach these events will determine the outcomes. It should also be noted that many monsters "link", particularly enemies of the same type and those within a certain proximity of one another. Linking means when you attack a Boar (as an example), another Boar closeby will attack you in addition to the Boar you struck. This can be problematic in certain situations and you can quickly find yourself overwhelmed if caution isn't used beforehand.

Regardless of difficulty, all enemies aggro with the sole exception of a few docile creatures found throughout the game (Kibbles, etc). All enemies will engage you if attacked irregardless, though. Below is a break-down of how enemy strength/difficulty is calculated.

  • Green - Will aggro but fairly easy to dispatch. Caution should be used when attacking enemies in numbers.
  • Yellow - Enemy strength is increased comparative to your characters abilities. Not too problematic but caution must be used when engaging multiple enemies.
  • Red - Formidable opponent. Extreme caution and strategy required in order to successfully overtake enemies of this difficulty. Taking the long way around or simply running away is the best strategy if your character isn't strong enough to succeed in battle. Engaging multiple enemies of this difficulty could be extremely dangerous and could result in character deaths.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/11.jpgSilver Hornshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Slay 3000 monsters. A trophy in the shape of a devil's horn.

Like the aforementioned trophy, this one will take longer to aquire but will come naturally in time. Just play the game/quest a lot and you'll obtain this trophy before you know it. Nothing difficult here. Just kill 3000 monsters. Any that you kill throughout the game/questing count towards this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/12.jpgGold Hornhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Slay 10,000 monsters. A trophy in the shape of a dragon god's horn.

The final trophy in the "Slay Monsters" category. This one will probably unlock some time around GR10, give or take. This will require a significant amount of gameplay/questing in order to obtain but the premise is the same as the aforementioned 2 trophies; kill lots of enemies. Any that you kill throughout the game/questing count towards this trophy.

Complete five quests with an S rank. A badge presented by your clients.

Click here to find Questing Partners.

This pertains to the Questing element of WKC and constitutes the bulk of what you'll be doing online. Upon completion of a quest, you're awarded a grade. "S" Rank is the highest you can achieve and well worth the effort in earning. As a result, the quality of the items you aquire after the quest is over (loot) is significantly better than getting an otherwise lower grade. However, more often than not, it's more difficult to S Rank a quest without a good group of players. Unless you have a high-level friend lend a hand, you can expect a lot of trial and error in learning what's required in each quest you participate in. In many cases, speed is the element needed for the highest rank but in other cases, different requirements are warranted (ie, completing the sidequest(s), etc).

There are dozens of quests to participate in and all have varying Guild Rank Level requirements. This will place limitations on what you're able to accomplish initially until you've leveled up your GR to the appropriate levels. Most quests are what's called "permanent maps" while others are temporary and only available for a short period of time. It is advised that you attempt to complete and S Rank as many of the temporary quests as possible. More often than not, these temporary quests offer very lucrative rewards (if you're lucky enough to aquire the items) and help facilitate exclusive Bindings (ie; new armor sets).

The key to successfully S Ranking quests essentially involves a variety of factors, some of which include; skilled and knowlegable players, intimate grasp of gameplay dynamics and efficient use of time. Teamwork is vital and finding a good group of players to quest with will enhance your online experience exponentially.

This trophy will unlock upon S Ranking any 5th quest that you complete. S Ranking the same quest over again does not count towards this trophy.

This trophy will require a modestly developed character in terms Equipment and Stats. Since there are a limited number of low level quests, you will be required to successfully complete and S Rank higher-tiered quests in order to chip away at this trophy. The premise for aquiring the trophy is the same, though. Simply complete 20 quests with the highest rank and you'll obtain it.

Although the difficulties of the higher-tiered quests increase, the quality of the rewards do as well. It is strongly advised that you play with other skilled and knowledgeable players who are focused on the same goals as you. This tends to result in faster progress and better use of time.

This trophy will unlock upon S Ranking any 20th quest that you complete. S Ranking the same quest over again does not count towards this trophy.

The final trophy in the "S Rank" category. This trophy will unlock at varying times for different players but most can expect to obtain it on average around the GR 9/10 time frame, give or take. As stated previously, questing with likeminded players pursuing similar goals will ensure consistent progress. Everyone benefits from efficient teamwork and plenty of that will be needed to aquire this trophy.

Well-developed characters and an intimate grasp on much of the entire online questing experience should be a given by now. You should be very familiar with how the majority of the quests in WKC work and what's required to complete them. Since different quests come with varying Guild Rank requirements and varying degrees of difficulties, you will be faced with S Ranking many moderate to very difficult quests. Much of the upper-leveled advanced quests require a group of 4 skilled players who, at this point in the game, should know what they're doing as well. Again, gaining the assistance of high-leveled friends from time to time will make aquiring this trophy a breeze so get out there and make friends!

Bind 50 different items. A stone fashioned by the Don's underlings. ...It's rather moist.

Binding (Synthesis) Guide (Credit to andreameda at GameFaqs along with contributions from our very own Astral Blades, Eternal_Spoon and pasufarin)

The 1st of 3 Binding-related trophies. Simply put, Binding is the method of combining multiple items together in order to make a new item. Depending on what you Bind, oftentimes you can create better equipment for yourself. Additionally, most Bound items can be furthur upgraded to maximize its potential. The actual process of Binding is extremely simple to understand. Either you have the necessary ingredients/materials to make an item, or you don't. For a variety of reasons, many players often reach advanced Guild Rank levels before even attempting these trophies while others try to get an early start and chip away slowly at their Bind count. If you've been consistently Harvesting you will probably have enough materials stockpiled to Bind a decent portion of the low-end recipies. It costs money to Bind items as well as enhance said items (if you so choose to do so) so it's essential you're mindful of what you'd like to Bind, what it will cost and how that impacts your monetary goals.

Initially, you'll want to spend some time donating items periodically to the Binding Shops. Doing so will advance your Binding Level as well as unlock new recipies. In most cases, this is the first thing players will focus on before plunging into the entire Binding process.

In order to unlock this trophy you must Bind 50 different items. You cannot Bind 50 Charge Drinks and expect to obtain this trophy. It must be a different recipie each time. There are hundreds of items to Bind in the game in several different categories so you'll have plenty to choose from.

Binding (Synthesis) Guide (Credit to andreameda at GameFaqs along with contributions from our very own Astral Blades, Eternal_Spoon and pasufarin)

The 2nd of 3 Binding-related trophies. Most players will not aquire this trophy until they're well into the game (several hundred hours) and have substantially stockpiled the necessary materials and resources to Bind 200 items. While there are many simplified low-end recipies, it certainly doesn't take long before things begin to get complicated. A respectable number of Binds require rare and uncommon items, some of which are only available through temporary quests. However, there are more than enough permanent recipies to obtain this and the final Binding trophy.

Additionally, you'll want to be well funded and have a significant amount of Guilder saved up before commiting to this trophy. Be mindful of what you'd like to Bind. Try to tackle as many of the low-end recipies as possible so as to save rare items you may aquire during your adventures. You'll also want to factor in the Guilder that will be needed to Bind this many items when pursuing the Guilder-related trophies as well. Again, find a balance and strategy that works for you and stick with it.

Bind 450 different items. A gem stone fashioned by Don Phibianacci himself. ...But why is it sticky?

Binding (Synthesis) Guide (Credit to andreameda at GameFaqs along with contributions from our very own Astral Blades, Eternal_Spoon and pasufarin)

The final Bind-related trophy and in most cases, one of the last trophies you will obtain in White Knight Chronicles. This trophy will require nothing less than a well-supplied Item Storage full of the necessary items (rare or otherwise) and stockpile of Guilder. Many players attain Guild Rank 15 before obtaining this trophy while others simply lose the patience and endurance to aquire it. How you choose to pursue this trophy will be largely dependant on the personal strategies you set in place for yourself early on in the game. Most players struggle with deciding on working on this trophy or pursuing the final Guilder trophy (Gold Coin Purse), both of which are money-intensive endeavors.

The key to success with this trophy is constantly Harvesting and saving the majority of your quest loot (rather than selling everything). I can't emphasize enough the importance of getting started early on with farming materials. When you devote enough time to this endeavor you will prevent having to buy materials from Shops (which can get exponentially expensive and deplete your Guilder reserves very very quickly). Harvesting early on also helps eliminate the need to go back and re-farm potential items you're missing. All in all though, you'll still find yourself gathering materials throughout the entire game as the need for it has been fully implemented into nearly every facet of the game.

Your "Guild Rank" represents a portion of your online identity. Increasing your Rank is achieved by consistently earning Guild Rank Points, which comes exclusively from questing online. GR Points are awarded for successfully completed quests only. Failed or Aborted quests do not net any Points or Rewards of any kind. This trophy will come relatively quickly providing you're active in questing and are consistently earning Guild Rank Points. You wont have much trouble aquiring this trophy as the process of character development will have already gotten underway.

Raise Guild Rank to 8. A respectful award from the Guild.

The 2nd of 3 Guild Rank-related trophies. Obtaining this trophy will require a fair amount of time with the game having quested quite a bit. As you gain levels with your GR, the required points to advance to the next subsequent level increases, with the latter Ranks being exponential in nature. As such, you'll find yourself working hard earning the necessary points to attain this Rank and thus the trophy. However, the concept for the trophy requirement is the same as the previous one. Just earn a lot of points in online questing and you'll obtain this trophy in due time. As with many trophies in the set, most players will earn this at varying times and conditions. You'll also realize that repetition becomes evident now if not beforehand. Constantly repeating the same quests over and over will become commonplace and second nature. This wont be an issue, however, if you're thoroughly enjoying the game and working to aquire items you need for Binding and your equipment needs.

Raise Guild Rank to 12. A high honor from the Guild.

The final Guild Rank-related trophy. You'll be fully accustomed to the nature of grinding GR Points long before you aquire this trophy. As such, obtaining this trophy will require a significant amount of time and dedication. There's nothing complicated about getting to GR12, however doing so will involve perseverence. At this point in the game you will have had a full understanding of the game in its entirety. Nothing should be unfamiliar to you, particularly in terms of questing and grinding GR Points.

Earn 100,000 guilder. A coin purse filled with hope...

The 1st of 3 Guilder-related trophies. This one will unlock fairly early on and in most cases, during your offline playthroughs. As been stressed before, saving money is the key to long-term successes. However, there will be plenty of times when spending is OK. Just don't go overboard and purchase unnecessarily. Enemies drop Guilder is very small doses until you've unlocked advanced higher-tiered missions and reselling back to Shops nets very little in return. I personally saved all my money starting from the very beginning of the game. I only sold excessive multiples of gear that I had no use for. I seldom if ever sold materials I harvested (they're worth squat anyway to the Shops). By the time I got online I had enough saved up to Bind here and there and make intelligent purchases when necessary. Additionally, I was able to upgrade and enhance the equipment I obtained from New Game+, which was of extreme benefit to myself.

Part of the success factors in conserving money in relation to the need for eventual Binding, equipment upgrading and the like, is setting up a balanced strategy for yourself. Everyones playstyles are different and what works for you may not work for someone else. Set goals for yourself and be mindful to adhere to those goals. By doing so you will find earning the last few (and hardest trophies in the game) much more bearable and you'll most likely aquire them before GR15 (like I did).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/22.jpgSilver Coin Pursehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Earn 1,000,000 guilder. A coin purse filled with hopes and dreams.

The 2nd of 3 Guilder-related trophies. Depending on how you've managed your funds and resources throughout the game thus far, you may or may not have trouble unlocking this trophy within a reasonable amount of time. Overall though, this will still take a considerable amount of time to aquire.

One popular method for aquiring these trophies is to save your game, then sell off your entire inventory (or whatever is needed to reach 1,000,000 Guilder), get the trophy then reload your save. The trophy still saves to your PSN ID as well as your WKC Home Page. It's a nice incentive for those who might be strugging to come up with the entire amount of raw Guilder at one time.

The basis for this trophy is fairly uncomplicated though, you simply need to have earned enough money to unlock the trophy. Many players on average probably wont obtain this trophy until around the GR 9+ range, give or take. Results and circumstances will vary from player to player, though.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/23.jpgGold Coin Pursehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Earn 10,000,000 guilder. A coin purse filled with...a ton of money!

The final Guilder-related trophy. This is also one of the most time-consuming trophies in the game and as a result, one of the last trophies many players will earn before aquiring the Platinum. As daunting of a task as this seems, your ability to obtain it isn't going to be extremely difficulty but rather, time-consuming. Good resource management, conservative spending and a devotion to maintaining the consistency of said efforts is what will bring you closer to this trophy. Aside from that however, you still probably wont obtain it until you're GR11+, give or take. This will be largely dependant on a number of factors including but not limited to;

  • How much you've spent developing your Georama.
  • How much your equipment is worth (enhancements and upgrades included).
  • How much your overall inventory is worth (Item Storage).
  • How much raw Guilder you've aquired (through questing and other means).

The "fastest" and "easiest" way to obtain this trophy is to aquire at least 5,000,000 Guilder then use the Save/Reload method mentioned previously. In most cases, you may not have enough to unlock the trophy. But attempting to do so will give you a clear idea of how much you do in fact need to obtain it. Again, reloading the save file will not affect the trophy. It saves to your PSN ID and WKC Home Page. It's a huge benefit as well in that once aquired you can focus your money on other things, like Georama development and Binding. It also eliminates the burden of having to save up 10,000,000 in raw Guilder, which in and of itself is a behemoth task for the majority of WKC players.

Aside from the method described above, you're free to pursue whatever methods you establish for yourself early on. However the most efficient way of getting this trophy is to use the Save/Reload method. Just ensure you save the game before selling off everything then reload the same save immediately after syncing to the servers.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/372/01.jpgPlatinum Crownhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_platinum.png

A crown reserved for one who is perfect in every regard. Rumored to have once been worn by an ancient king.

Your final trophy accomplishment and a well-deserved reward. Obtaining this trophy requires the unlocking of all previous trophies. Congratulations on your long journey towards this respectable achievement.

1st!

Well thanks for working on this game! Many people around me dislike it it and keep bashing Level5 for releasing it to close to FFXIII but I actually like the game.

It's a shame that I did not get past 10% yet, although I got the game for nearly the whole time since the release.

I'll work on it with your guide - mayebe it'll help me understand few things I did not, yet.

Thank you. I hope you benefit from the Guide and good luck pursuing your Platinum. :o

Very nice! The other trophy guide & roadmap hasn't been updated in a long time, so I'm glad to see someone else step up and make one that's more accurate and complete. :)

Thanks, Astrals. :p

I've been wanting to write a Guide for WKC for a while now but had been too focused on playing the game. I'm very excited to have put something together that hopefully will benefit people.

A lot better than the other guide for this game, especially when you metnion the difficulty of the game, which i think was 1/10 on the other guide, good job on writing it.:)

I'll be sure to use this in a few weeks time when i go back to this game, haven't been on it for a while (due to exams) but i'll be sure to use it to make trophy gathering easier.

too all that reads yoshi's guide, i personally play with yoshi_girl in wkc and have read her platinum guide, she breaks down how and the best way to obtain trophies, items, and equipment. Wkc can be a lil over welming when it comes to trophies but with this guide i was able to easyily understand and act on (not counting that i know this all already cuz wkc is very addicting) thanks again yoshi for this incredible guide, and again to all who are starting wkc, as yoshi clearly says and now i will say, wkc is a great fun rpg online game, but expect GRINDING!

I noticed your PSN comment and decided to check out your guide. While I know nothing about the game, I can tell you the structure of it looks superb, and the dedication and time involved is quite obvious. Good work. I know you have been logged into that game for hundreds of hours, so I am certain that no other guide on this game can be as comprehensive.

Thank you for the kind words, Wozamil. :o

If by chance you're interested in eventually getting involved with a good RPG then I recommend this game. Obviously you'll need to set aside a tremendous amount of time for this kind of commitment but it's a rewarding experience.

Nice guide, but I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed. Since the game has been out so long and the new quests/binds have been released, I expected some great "secrets" or at least some tips that I had never seen elsewhere. All of the stuff in this guide has been covered in greater detail on other web sites. I'm sure I will probably get flamed for this, but I'm just trying to be honest here. No offense intended.

Thank you for posting your opinions. :o

However, as a reminder, PS3trophies.org focuses and centers around Trophies and the most efficient methods to best aquire them. As such, I've devoted quite a bit of time to ensure my Guide is as comprehensive as possible while in keeping within our site standards.

While there are no "secrets" in White Knight Chronicles, there are a variety of topics related to the game that could warrant an entire new Walkthrough. However for Trophy-related purposes, discussing specific "Questing" or "Binds" beyond what I've laid out in my Guide would serve to derail the information that has been presented to the player.

I have plans in the works to write an in-depth series of Walkthroughs covering topics such as Georamas, Questing, Harvesting and the like, in greater detail.

I'm not trying to start another debate, but if you want to help someone get trophies in the most efficient way possible, then details are very important. Lets take the 50 S-ranks for example. Don't you think it would help someone get that trophy if you spelled out which quests were the fastest S-ranks or give instructions on how to S-rank specific quests? Some quests are obvious and easy S-ranks, while others (like Home of the Knave 2) require that you actually look something up on the internet. I've already gotten this trophy, so I don't need this info anyway. I just think some of the descriptions you give for each trophy are somewhat vague and won't really help the average "n00b." However, others (like your tips on not building the georama and not binding weapons/armor too early) will definitely benefit someone just starting the game. Again, though, that's not new information.

Anyway, I would be interested to see your detailed walk-throughs, even though I'll probably already have the platinum by then.

Although I understand what you're saying, it would not be feasible to list 83 Quests (6 of which are temporary) in my Guide, nor would it be necessary. I've stated already in the trophy descriptions that there are Guild Rank requirements for each quest. As such, players will be limited on their choices until GR 7 and up. This means there will be very little options, easy or not, on what players can work on until much later on in the game.

This results in a fairly linear progression towards working on this trophy. By the time players reach a point where considerably more Quests become available, there will still be plenty of mid-level Quests available for players to take advantage of without having to solely resort on the high-level ones.

Adding detailed descriptions and strategies for each individual Quest, how to S Rank them as well as which Quests are considered "easy", are things I will include in my future Guides. However, the majority of players who are heavily involved with WKC, new and seasoned alike, wont have an extensive amount of trouble learning the basics of what is required in order to complete them.

Part of the online experience is the sharing of knowledge and communicating with other players. I personally never had to look up any information online until I was several hundred hours into the game and in need of a little Binding/Georama guidance. Any complexities of certain Quests I learned from personal experience while playing with friends.

I do appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughts, though.

Thank you.

[EDIT] I'd like to point out that if the Guide Team determine I should allocate significant thread space to accomodate detailed strategies and recommendations for 83 individual Quests, then I will certainly add them to my Guide. But as it stands for the time being, I personally do not feel this endeavor would be necessary or relevant in terms of the information already available here.

I don't agree here. The S-Rank trophy will be one of the first golden ones to unlock while playing the game online. It will be accessed automatically on the road most likely a couple of hundred hours before the platinum, probably even before reaching GR 12 with the additional quests if not grinded BR only. So it would be disproportional to add such a long walkthrough in a trophy guide instead of some general guidelines.

I think a in-depth quest analysis would be nice to have though since some sidequests or S-Rank preferences can be a bit confusing at first, for example the need to kill masses of mobs together with doing "Goldie" more than finish fast in TYL 2/3. But in my opinion Yoshi_Girl is correct that a trophy guide is not the right place for it.

Kudos for taking the time to write a guide. I appreciate the effort since I'm sure your intentions were to help people.

Obviously, you felt that the existing guides were missing something, otherwise you wouldn't have written another guide so long after the game was released. Just out of curiousity, what do you think your guide has to offer for the N00b or the Advanced WKC player that other guides didn't already cover?

I agree with mostly everything in this guide Yoshi. Based on comments I have seen I also agree with its current scope. Any further than you are talking about a complete online strategy guide. Besides Players should be able to make their own judgments on how to approach quests, bindings and rebirths.

One thing I'll mention if one gets the gilda trophies out of the way, its probably more of an advantage to buy the applicable lower level parts via one's own Georama rather than going back repeadily to lower GR quests. Plus the possible the equipment repair costs you won't have to deal with.

The DPS for both weapons (Staff & Bow) are different and the damage output you do will depend on the quality of your gear. As a GR15 Mage, I can output 1770+ damage from a 1 AC spell (over 2000+ critical) but I've also taken a considerable amount of effort to aquire the best gear a Mage can get at GR15. I haven't necessarily messed around too extensively with melee'ing though as a Mage, so I'm not sure if your question has that in mind or not.

Sunnygrg would be a good player to consult on Bows since that's his specialty, although he's since recently switched over to the dime-a-dozen Longsword class. :p

enhance the bow with a certain element and use it against enemies that are weak to that element. that works for all weapon classes.

enhance a weapon with water/ice and use it against big red

enhance a weapon with earth and use it against a wind dragon or wind elemental

enhance a weapon with fire and use it against an ice dragon

this will add 50-100% to your attack damage versus the same weapon with no element. that is just a rough estimate on percentage, maybe somebody knows the exact calculation.
