Best place to level?

Recommended Posts

what level are you now?

I would suggest you do new game +, not for exp (will get very little), but for gear.

The gr7 & 8 gear will make you stronger.

I am newish, but I don't exp grind, because there is so much else to grind, figure exp will just come. (need to get GR12, need to farm for bindings/gear & S rank quests )

if you really want to grind exp, you can do the escort 2 quest solo, you can use 2 NPCs that can help fight or heal.

I actually didn't think caravan escort was that good because the monsters are spaced to far apart. The places I used the most were boot camp, ring leader, and king of dragons, which was the best if you have elemental weapons, or are a mage. Was able to go from 35-50 there in only about 5 hours straight after a rebirth.

I think Take Your Lumps II is good for solo EXP, since the monsters are fairly packed together and the Earth Dragons are always in set positions. Also, you only really need one elemental weapon (possibly two if you want to kill the Earth Elementals quickly) for the Red Scorpions and Fire Lizards.

Bootcamp 2 is the best place to level due to the frequency of enemies encountered during a given time period, period.

No it's not. The xp/time ratio drops considerably the closer you get to 50, while in other locations the ratio is much higher. The advantages of boot camp are that it's low GR and it's very easy, allowing anyone to do it comfortably, but that's about it.

Even on a level 50 character, you get XPs worth 125 + on a single enemy. I know you get XPs worth 350+ on quests such as KODs but the space between enemies and time to respawn really doesnt make up for it.

I disagree. I've already leveled to 50 5 times. I was sick of leveling and timed my xp/time in different locations to find the best spots. KoD 2 can give you 500+ per kill even at 49, and if you're running a good pattern and killing decently, then boot camp doesn't even compare.

I'm not at GR9 yet so I do believe doing Boot Camp 2 is more beneficial then some of the other area's to EXP grind.

If your a mage by and far King of Dragons is the best.

If you're lower leveled Boot Camp 2 is fine. You get MUCH better items especially for adding elemental items to your items as well as ores that you can grind from to get quite a bit of different types of metals. I generally harvest a bunch of ores while I'm running around. So....

Usually as a bow user once I get full AC I can go through and kill the enemies with 1 AC and get about 600-800 Exp per kill with that AC and I keep regenerating AC at a decent pace. So I'm killing about as fast as I can after a while (especially after leveling) and getting 4x as much exp per kill.

So I'd have to say that I think that King of Dragons is a better spot. EVEN IF they were providing the same exact exp, the fact that you're getting items that you can sell for cash (and not save so that you can keep the items after getting the trophy) is more than enough.

But Boot Camp 2 will help you getting to level 50 the first time, I just don't recommend it for reincarnating time and time again. Takes WAY too long and not enough rewards.

A mage with full AC in King of Dragons 2 will pwn for exp period.

Yeah I did find that KoD2 was the best place to level if you are a mage. Now that I am a spear tank and I dont really want 4 elemental spears (because I have 4 longswords for that), I found BC2 to be the best.

  • 2 weeks later...

At GR10, you unlock Lost Children III, which is an awesome spot to level up for rebirths if you don't do them beforehand. At the first spot with the kid, you'll encounter like 10 waterspider sprogs or so. The good thing about this spot is that the whole room respawns after like 2 minutes from killing the last one, plus the kid makes a damn nice tank. At level 49, you're getting around 900 EXP per kill.
