Introduction:

Wheels of Destruction: World Tour is an arcade-style vehicle shooter that bears some striking similarities to Unreal Tournament 3. Set in our own post-apocalyptic world, you get behind the wheel of one of the five deadly vehicle classes to destroy your competition and claim victory whilst playing one of the three available game modes. There is no story and all trophies require you to play in Online matches, however each one can be obtained by playing against bots in unranked matches and through boosting.

Road Map:

In Wheels of Destruction, the majority of trophies are simple to earn and should come naturally. However, there are a few that will take time to complete, such as (S) Bloodlust, (S) The Long Haul and (B) Full-Timer, but the most frustrating of which being (B) Thrillkiller. As I mentioned before though, each of these can be obtained by playing against bots, a boosting partner or both as long as you participate in Unranked matches.

Always make sure that you enable bots, otherwise the match will remain in a pre-game practice state until another player joins (which is not often). Please note that the difficulty level of the Bots can be set to Tame (Easy) which should make things considerably easier for you.

You’ll also want to make sure that the Modifications are set to Classic. Random car (random vehicle every spawn) and Firefight (default weapons only: gatling-gun and shotgun) can also be used at your discretion later on if you like, but you shouldn’t need them when going for the trophies.

Step 1 - Jump into the Destruction

Start by familiarizing yourself with the vehicles, weapons, maps and game modes. Aim to get the first kill in the match with each car, which this can be made easier by playing in smaller games with fewer bots if necessary.

Try to win as many games as you can and rememeber to not quit the round early as you will need to have participated in 100 matches from start to finish for the (B) Full-Timer trophy.

Start getting a feel for performing somersaults - a perfectly landed single spin restores 50% of your shields, and a double increases them by 100%. Knowing how and when to effectively perform this skill can be a life saver.

After this step you should have unlocked the following trophies:

(B) Overachiever

(B) In the Mode

(B) Road Rambo

(B) Team Leader

(S) Perfect Double

And possibly:

(S) Nothing Can Kill Me

Step 2 - The Grind

Now that you’ve spent some time with the game and learned the ropes, you can start focusing on the more time consuming trophy requirements such as returning 200 flags, earning the first kill in a game 50 times and collecting one of every pick-up on all the maps. Make sure to also play a full game without dying if you haven't yet done so.

Your progress towards some of these trophies can be tracked by going to the "Garage" menu, followed by "Rewards."

After this step, you should have the following trophies:

(B) Grabby, Grabby, Grabby!

(B) Full-Timer

(S) The Long Haul

(S) Bloodlust

(G) Unstoppable!

Step 3 – Thrillkiller

After completing the two previous steps, the only trophy you should be missing is Thrillkiller. Now that you have everything else out of the way, this should be easier to focus on. Please note that you may already have progress earned towards this trophy, but unless you were tracking it yourself, there is no real way of knowing.

There are two ways you can go about getting this trophy - Naturally or Boosting. Please see the trophy description for more details.

Afterwards you’ll have:

(B) Thrillkiller

After completing these steps you should have your rare 100%. Congratulations!

Trophy Guide:

Be the winner or on the winning team who has reached the kill or flag limit before time's up in an online match.

You must win the match before the timer at the top of your HUD expires in any of the three game modes. You shouldn’t have trouble getting this through standard play, but if you do, I suggest playing a smaller game of Capture the Flag with the Bot difficulty set to Tame.

The limits for each mode are:

Deathmatch (DM) 30 kills

Team-Deathmatch (TDM) 70 kills

Capture the Flag (CTF) 5 flags captured

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/9B9.jpg In the Mode (B)

Win an online match in each mode on every map.

Technically a simple trophy, but one that will take some time to earn. When going for this, I suggest selecting any game mode and then allowing the maps to cycle through naturally until you've won on each one. Remember to select the "proceed to next stage" option when you're on the end results screen. Simply repeat this process for the remaining two games modes, and the trophy is yours.

The game modes are:

Deathmatch (DM)

Team-Deathmatch (TDM)

Capture the Flag (CTF)

The standard maps are:

Paris

Seattle

London

Tokyo

Rome

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/1D4.jpg Road Rambo (B)

Be the first to kill an opponent as each class of car in online matches.

There are a total of five car classes, and you must earn the first kill (or first blood) in with each of them. You’ll more than likely get this through natural play, but if you're having trouble, set up a game of Capture the Flag with a single Bot set to Tame difficulty. Providing that you destroy it first, this will guarantee a first blood kill every time.

The five car classes are:

Assassin

Scout

Engineer

Soldier

Heavy

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/3FD.jpg Thrillkiller (B)

Kill three or more opponents within four seconds without dying on every map in every car in online matches.

Like the trophy states, you need to get a triple kill or higher within a four second period without dying yourself, with each vehicle, on every single map. This is not easy to complete and is very luck-dependent, however there are two ways you can go about getting it - naturally or boosting.

The natural way will require a lot of luck with enemy positioning as well as good use of whatever weapons you have at your disposal. Some maps have more locations where enemies tend to bunch together more frequently, thus making this easier to pull off (Seattle), whereas others are not so simple (Tokyo). I recommend only playing Deathmatch (DM) when going for this trophy against the maximum number of Bots turned on to increase your chances.

Boosting the trophy will still take some effort, coordination and time, as you will need three other players to complete it this way. This should also be done in Deathmatch (DM), Unranked, with four players on the required map. The fastest way to accomplish this is to arrange a place to meet on a map, have the three players who are getting killed select a car with low durability: Scout or Assassin work great. Meanwhile have the player who is getting the kills pick-up Napalm fuel then meet up with the others. Once your all together, have the three sacrificial players drive up to near touching around the one getting the kills. When everyone is in position have the player with the flamethrower use the alternate fire :l1: to activate Ring of Fire, this attack is like a shockwave and will hit all three at once setting them on fire. Two bursts should be all you need if the other players are using low durability vehicles, they will all die simultaneously or within seconds of one another causing a triple kill to occur. Wait ten seconds, then suicide or be killed to change your class. Repeat this process with all five vehicles on each of the five maps and this trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/8C8.jpg Full-Timer (B)

Play through one hundred online matches from start to finish.

You must play 100 matches from start to finish. If you quit out early, the match will not count towards the trophy. The fastest game mode to complete is Capture the Flag, and considerably that you'll need flag returns for The Long Haul anyway, it's highly recommended to work towards these two together.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/FA7.jpg Grabby, Grabby, Grabby! (B)

Obtain every type of pickup at least once on every map in online matches.

There are eleven types of Pick-ups scattered across all maps, and you need to collect one of each from every map. Some are out in the open, whereas some require a bit more searching to locate. Repair packs and Shields come in three sizes, weapons and ammo do not. Be advised there is usually only one Mega Repair and Mega Shield pick-up per map. I’ve listed them and their respective values below. If you require visual aid, look at the Pick-ups list in the Garage from the Main Menu.

Repair Packs (Green)

Mini: 5 HP

Standard: 50 HP

Mega: Full HP

Shield Packs (Blue)

Mini: 5%

Standard: 50%

Mega: 100%

Weapon Packs (Orange)

Rocket Packs: 5 Rockets

Railgun Battery: 5 Megawatts

Napalm Canister: 50 Litres

Ammo Packs (Also Orange)

Full Ammo: Completely refills ammo for all collected weapons

2x Ammo: Allows you to gain twice as much ammo from weapon packs (one per life)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/085.jpg Team Leader (B)

Be the highest-scoring player of a winning team in 10 online team matches.

Another one that should come naturally. While playing against Tame bots, you should be the top scoring player in most (if not all) of the games that you play. You can achieve this in either Team Deathmatch or Capture the Flag, with the latter being the quickest of the two.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/A69.jpg Perfect Double (S)

Charge your shields up from zero to full in an online game by performing a perfect double somersault (720 degrees).

Your shield must be at zero to achieve this trophy. Even having just 1% of your shield will not work. When you are airborne, you can tilt  or  to perform somersaults. Performing a double somersault and landing it perfectly will unlock the trophy. A perfect landing is defined as having all four wheels of your vehicle touch the ground at the same time.

There are numerous jumps and drops where you can obtain this but if you want it quick, create a game on the London map and pick a light class (Assassin, Scout or Engineer are the best for it.) When the match starts, look for the large launch pad in either the red or blue base. These look like many blue rings ascending from the floor. Drive into the center and press :cross: to jump and you’ll be lifted into the air (the higher the rings go, the better the elevation). When this happens, tilt the stick to begin somersaulting and once you’ve completed two full circles, straighten out before you touch the ground. If done correctly, your shields will be full and the trophy will unlock. If not, you can try again from the center of the ring until you are successful.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/12F.jpg The Long Haul (S)

Bring the opposing team's flag from their base to your team's base two hundred times in online matches.

Another trophy that will take a lot of time to unlock, but thankfully, Capture the Flag is by far the fastest game mode to complete. The quickest method to get this is to create a match on the Seattle map with a single Tame bot. Seattle is the most basic map and the easiest to navigate. While you're doing this, make sure to also work towards the Bloodlust and of course Full-Timer trophies for maximum efficiency.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/85C.jpg Bloodlust (S)

Be the first to kill an opponent in fifty online matches.

Like the trophy states, you must earn First Blood in 50 online matches. You can set up a game with a single Tame bot to ensure you get this. It is recommended that you go for this in conjunction with the The Long Haul to get the most out of your time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/F75.jpg Nothing Can Kill Me! (S)

Receive damage from every type of weapon without dying in an online match.

You should have no trouble obtaining this through natural play. There are four different types of weapons and each has an alternate fire. You simply need to take damage from each of these weapons and survive. This damage can be from either the primary or alternate fire (you don't need to be hurt by both.) I’ve listed the weapons and their alternate fire below:

Gatling-Gun (alt.) Shotgun (default weapon)

Rocket launcher (alt.) Mortar

Railgun (alt.) BFG

Flamethrower (alt.) Ring of Fire

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1383/919.jpg Unstoppable! (G)

Survive an online match from start to finish without dying.

This trophy is not nearly as hard as it sounds, especially against Tame bots. All you need to do is survive a game from start to finish without being destroyed. You can either fight for it or hide somewhere until the game ends. Note that switching teams or changing your vehicle will void the trophy for that match.
