BlackDragon
The game-guide refers to Rocky Karoly's threat over at Xbox360Achivements, but that one only covers the first 8 missions, and appears to have been abandoned. I figure there's better odds of something happening HERE, what with the canceled US release and the PS3 being open to imports...
Metal_Jaws
I saw no plans for one as of yet. In a weird twist of fate, I lost all of my data like 20 min before my plat for this game. So I plan on re-beating this game from scartch. I was going to gather that info on my second play through. But...i dont own the game. It was only a rental. And have sevral games in front of it now...so might be a little bit of time. I guess I am not in a rush since I had very little trouble finding all of teh objectives in my play through, so at first I did not think an extra guide was warrented. But enough people have asked now, so I'm game. But - yes, if no one else makes one I was planning on it at some point.
BlackDragon
Honestly, it's not so much FINDING the subquests that's hard - well, in a few cases, maybe. More often, it's figuring out how to MANAGE them. Like, what's the best way to reach Odysseus in Ajax's last mission without taking damage? What can I do to better protect Agamemnon during the escort-mission with Ajax? ...come to think of it, I seem to mostly be having trouble with Ajax's missions. The gods really DID hate him, huh? Metal_Jaws
LOL, I know what you mean. I discuss some strategies for that in my FAQ section of the guide, specifically with the Ajax escort missions. Check it out and see if that helps at all. I was able to do all of his missions, and take little to no damage on the things i was protecting, even on expert... BlackDragon
Yeah, I managed to beat the Escort-missions now - that item that decreases damage to escorted allies helps a lot. Gift of Child, it's called. But what about that annoying 'Don't get hurt' submission? I know I can get it by waiting 'till I've finished on Expert, and then using the infinite sword-throwing while keeping my distance... but surely, there's a simpler method. Metal_Jaws
Alternate dont get hurt... Play stage one. Only have to fight 3 bosses. Run past the rest. Just watch the slasher... If you get hit, just retsart from checkpoint and you are still okay.
BlackDragon
No, no, I meant the sub-quest in Ajax's last mission where you have to reach Odysseus without getting hit... But nevermind. I think I've figured out a method for myself. You don't actually have to KILL anything to get there, right? So you can just equip the Crown of Troy, hold block, and walk. Might take a while, but the zombies can't do Power Attacks, so nothing they do will be able to scratch you. It's just a theory, though - need to grind a bit more to afford that Crown so I can test it.
Metal_Jaws
Ohhhhh, that one. Actually best way is to just RUN!!!!! Stay in the middle of the screen, and roll just before they attack you. You must time the roll correctly though. Do it too soon, and they can hit you at the end of the animation. If it is too much trouble, just wit until much later, and after expert run through you can buy an item that makes you invincible while rolling. Personally the run method worked fine for me. Takes a few tries but very doable.
BlackDragon
Well, I managed to get it with my 'Turtle' strategy, though I had to modify it a bit... Sure, I'm invulnerable while blocking, but enemy attacks keep pushing me around so much, I'm making no progress! So, I just added the Heroic Chain to the mix. Every hit I block regenerates my Fury-gauge. When it's full, I trigger it and use the resulting shockwave to break through the surrounding horde with Ajax's light-light-heavy combo. So I'd basically just turtle through the small groups, and use the Fury-mode to break through the large ones. Only had to Fury twice before I reached Oddy. No real risk, got it on my first try... Metal_Jaws
Sweet, good on ya. Always good to have another method for different styles of game players.
Eye Beams
Horn of Madness = Instant fury fill upon finisher Armor of Hephastus = Invincible during fury Huhu~ I didn't use these for the first secondary objective in "Madness", but still... ;D Not sure if you can still get "hit" with this combo, though. If someone can confirm via PM/VM then I will delete this post. Edited June 9, 2011 by Eye Beams
BlackDragon
That probably works, but it requires access to Extreme-run items. The other methods mentioned can be done on your first run, which is handy.
Eye Beams
Extreme = Expert? O_O IIRC: Horn is from the Lyssa objective in Expert, and Armor is from an Epic Challenge. But yeah, what I said pales in comparison to the aforementioned tactics, escpecially the use of the "invincible when rolling" item.
Rampidzier
And to think that I did it the hard way by killing everything in my path on my way to there. Granted, it's not a hard objective to get if you hit and run and make use of throwing weapons. It's probably just easier using turtle/rolling tactics.
