crusader17
I want to get this game but I have heard that when they bring out there next game (starhawk, I think) they will close the servers for this game. I was wondering if this was true and if so is there still enough time to platinum this game before the new game comes out?
Da_Dope_Boy
You know what dude, if you play it straight going for what you need, you'll get the before the servers are down. I bet the servers will be up probably AT LEAST 3 years more.
crusader17
Wow that was fast lol. If thats true then I'll have no problems. Thanks
Kiwicrash
Would be quite disappointing to see these servers go down, What if you had 800 hours on it, closing in the the platinum and they closed it. Man would you be pissed
juzam666
They should be up for a looooooooong time still. They just gave away all the DLC this week for free (PS+ members only) They're trying to keep interest in the game.
PsienceWins
I came here looking for just this info. If there is no word of server closures I think I may pick this up after working through my current library of games.

If there is no word of server closures I think I may pick this up after working through my current library of games.   If you are looking to platinum this, pick it up as soon as possible. the learning curve is steeeeep. Its not a question if the servers get shut down, its a question of how long will players keep playing. Dont get me wrong, there are still rooms to play in, its just most of the players that play still are good. Thus, its harder to climb the 275,000 point ladder to general. PsienceWins
I'm not to worried about the players. I'll get good over time. I'm more worried about it being a game like Chromehounds which still had a dedicated fan base, but the servers got shut down after 4-5 years or so. juzam666
There is no forseeable timeframe for the squeal "Starhawk", so I would expect servers to be up for a least another year. Plenty of time for the platinum to be obtained if you dedicate yourself to the game for the next year. Â (platinum takes roughly 1,000 hours, which breaks down to 3hrs a day for 1 year)
XMarekX
It only took me 3 months of playing around 4 hours a day boosting to platinum this game. It was easy because I made a zone room and just left my ps3 on to get to general after I was done with everything else. Volkstech is the leader now of the boosting group that I left behind. aleezada
They've always been ~100 servers on at a time. A couple thousand still play each day. I don't see this game dying until a few years from now.
Ryanmushr00ms
Since sony now has servers up. Does that mean the servers will not close?
