Roadmap:

About The Game:

Jump into the rich world of Warhammer 40,000 in this fast paced 3rd person action shooter. As one of the Emperor's Elite Space Marines, you have been sent on a vital mission to assault a gigantic Ork Kroozer headed for an Imperial ForgeWorld. Choose your Space Marine Chapter and weapons class and commence the purging of brutal Orks and vicious Tyranids on board. Team up to form a 2-man Kill Team in same screen co-op mode and benefit from multiple team pickups to help survive the onslaught.

Kill Team allows players to choose from four unique classes, including ranged specialists the Sternguard Veteran and Techmarine, and more melee focused classes like the Vanguard Veteran and Librarian. With two-player same screen Co-operative play, multiple weapon upgrades and six iconic Space Marine chapters to select from, Kill Team is a must-play for fans of Warhammer 40,000.

Players who complete the first mission in Kill Team will unlock the deadly Power Sword weapon for use in multiplayer in the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine. Sheathed in a power field, it cuts through armor and flesh alike and features unique animations, combos and damage output.

Step One - Complete The Campaign:

I recommend that you choose to play the game as a Sternguard Veteran for your first playthrough to make the game much easier to complete for the first time. The Campaign consists of only 5 missions and it should take you an average of 3:30-4:30 hours to complete for the first time. While playing through the Campaign you'll unlock stronger primary weapons for your Space Marines and will also unlock perks that will be assessable to all your Space Marines. Once you've cleared a mission for the first time you'll unlock a Survival Mission at the end of the mission as well. Everything that you unlock will carry on to your second playthrough and Survival Missions.

While playing through the Campaign I suggest that you collect every Aquila Collectable. These are artifacts that are hidden throughout each mission within destroyable red crates. Each mission has a total of 10 Aquila Collectables and collecting them all will unlock the Relic Bearer trophy. Another thing you'll want to focus on is completing a mission without using melee and without dying for both the Devastator and Honour in My Shield trophies. You'll unlock the Master Your Craft trophy naturally just by performing a Special Move for the first time. Be sure to kill and destroy everything to get points for unlock all weapons & ability upgrades towards your Tactical trophy. If you're lucky, you might also unlock both the Bloodbath and Exterminatus trophies. Once you've have successfully completed the Campaign you'll unlock the Victory for the Chapter for defeating the final boss of the game.

Also, if you have a friend or buddy at hand you can complete a mission in co-op together to unlock the Chapter Brother trophy. If you don't wish to play through an entire mission in co-op, then you can play through an entire mission by yourself on solo and once you've reached the end of the mission. Connect a second controller and then press :start: to have them jump in your game and then proceed to clearing the mission for your Chapter Brother trophy.

Step Two - Complete The Campaign Again with a Different Space Marine:

For your second playthrough I suggest that you choose to play as the Techmarine because it's the second best class of the Space Marines to select from. Your main goal of this playthrough is to complete the entire Campaign again as a different Space Marine than you've used before. Doing this will unlock the Chapter Master trophy. Last of all, if you haven't collected all the Aquila Collectables for the Relic Bearer trophy during your first playthrough. Now would be a good time finish collecting them. Also, if you haven't finished unlocking your Tactical and Exterminatus trophies then they should unlock during this playthrough naturally.

Step Three - Earn a Gold Aquila In Every Survival Challenge:

Once you've successfully completed the Campaign for the first time you'll have unlocked all 5 survival challenges maps. Each Survival Mission has an assigned Space Marine which will make getting the For the Emperor! trophy much easier to obtain by getting over 50 kills with each weapon type. Also note that this mode is great for obtaining the Bloodbath if you haven't unlocked it yet.

These Survival Challenges are all very easy since you'll have all your primary weapons and perks unlocked. Basically, all you have to do is survive for approximately 3:30 minutes in each of the 5 Survival Missions available. The more time that passes the more waves of enemies will spawn making it more difficult and challenging to stay alive any longer. I recommend that you use a combination of the +25% Melee/Range Damage perks depending on your Space Marine given to you and select either the +25% Special Move Charge/Health perks. The Special Move Charge perk will enable you to spam your Special Moves frequently and the Health perk will assist you with surviving a little longer than usual. Once you survived over 3:30 minutes and have acquired your Gold Medals on all 5 Survival Missions you'll unlock the Emperor’s Champion trophy.

Step Four - Mop Up:

If you missed any other trophies use the Mission Select or Survival to clean up the trophies that you missed if needed. Please refer to the trophy descriptions for more information if necessary.

Conclusion:

Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team is a very good PSN game worth downloading from the PlayStation Store. I never enjoyed slaughtering Orks in such a fun environment. I only wished that the game supported online co-op, but there isn't any options for that other than the local co-op gameplay. It'll only takes a few hours to fly through all 5 missions that the game has to offer. At 10 bucks though, it's a good value and worthy add to your trophy collections.

Use a special move

Each Space Marine Unit has a unique and powerful special move. The circle beneath the marine gradually fills over time as a special move charges. Scoring points by destroying destroyable objects and killing enemies will increase the rate of charge. The circle will flash when the special move is fully charged. Simply press the :l1: button to activate a special move and the trophy is yours.

Unlock all weapons & ability upgrades

Each Space Marine Unit has a total of 3 primary weapons. You'll start out with a Space Marine's default primary weapon and will unlock the 2nd and 3rd powerful weapons by just simply playing through the Campaign. Keep in mind that once a perk is upgrade to a higher percentage the lower percentage version of that perk will disappear. To unlock all weapons & ability upgrades you'll need approximately 4,850,000 accumulated Total Score from across every mission in Campaign mode. Your Total Score is calculated just by simply killing everything and destroying everything. Kill streaks will give you more points for killing enemies as quickly as possible. You can keep track of your Total Score in the Player Stats screen were all your Global Stats are kept. By the end of your first playthrough you'll have all weapons unlock and only a few more abilities perks left to unlock. This trophy will most likely unlock during your 2nd playthrough in Campaign mode. Please keep in mind that Survival doesn't count towards this trophy unlocking. Complete a mission in co-op mode

For this trophy you must complete a mission in co-op mode. You'll need two controllers for this trophy since there is no options for online co-op mode. This can be done on any mission in the Campaign. Playthrough the mission as normal and when you're about to clear the level press the :start: button on your 2nd controller to have them jump in your game and then proceed to clearing the level for your trophy to unlock.

Also note that if you done this on a mission without first clearing it with your selected Space Marine for the Chapter Master trophy. You'll have to replay that mission over again so you'll get credit for clearing that mission with your selected Space Marine. Because clearing a mission in co-op mode will only count it as clearing that mission in co-op only.

Find all the collectables

There are a total of 50 collectibles in the Campaign called an Aquila Collectable. Each of the 5 missions in the Campaign will each contain 10 Aquila Collectables that are hidden in red crates throughout each mission. Once you collected the Aquila Collectable for the first time you'll have it forever and it'll never reappear in the Campaign again. You can keep track of your Aquila Collectables from either the Mission Select Screen or by pressing the :start: button while playing through a mission to see how many that you've collected for that mission. Below is a helpful video showing all the location of every Aquila Collectable"

Special Notes:

On the 4th mission of Teleport Complex Incursion, the 7th collectible is off screen in the far left corner. Try to get it before the teleport sends you back to the main center of the level.

On the 5th and final mission of Command Deck Finale, there seems to be some confusion on the Aquila Collectable's locations. The ones that give PS3 players confusion on this mission are the 6th and 7th collectibles. These two are in the same locations as seen in the video. Just before entering that area immediately turn towards the bottom of the screen and run down the corners of the screen to collect them before you end up triggering the Final Boss Fight battle with the WarBoss. If you happen to miss them on the first attempt down there, don't worry because you'll be running back towards those areas again as the fight reaches its final steps. You'll end up seeing the Aquila Collectables as you're pushing the Warboss backwards.

Earn a gold Aquila in every survival challenge

To unlock all Survival Challenges you have to clear each mission in the Campaign. There are a total of 5 Survival Challenges to complete. I recommend that you use a combination of the +25% Melee/Range Damage perks depending on your Space Marine Unit given to you and select either the +25% Special Move Charge/Health perks. The Special Move Charge perk will enable you to spam your Special Moves frequently and the Health perk will assist you with surviving a little longer than usual.

Try your best to save your Power-Ups and only pick them up when needed to kill large groups of enemies. Especially try to save the Health Restore and Invulnerability Power-Ups for these two are the most important Power-Ups to surviving longer periods of time. Once you survived over 3:30 minutes and have acquired Gold Medals on all 5 Survival Missions you're trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1126/06.jpg Bloodbath (B)

Achieve a 'Bloodbath' kill streak

To achieve a "Bloodbath" kill streak means you need to kill 25 or more enemies within a short period of time. There are multiple ways to achieve a "Bloodbath" kill streak. You'll most like get it naturally just by performing a special move, shooting, melee/slicing, or throwing a grenade at large group of enemies. If you can't happen to acquire this trophy during the Campaign then you'll most likely achieve a "Bloodbath" kill streak in the Survival Challenges missions due to the massive number of enemies spawning. Below are some videos of performing a "Bloodbath" kill streak:

Kill 5000 enemies in total

For this trophy you must kill 5000 enemies in total. The game keeps track of all your kills in the Player Stats screen were all your Global Stats are kept. If you happen to die a lot of times while playing through the Campaign during your first playthrough, then you might unlock this. If not then this will unlock naturally while playing through your 2nd Campaign playthrough or while playing through the Survival missions.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1126/08.jpg Victory for the Chapter (S)

Defeat the Warboss!

The Warboss is the largest and most powerful of the Orks in his tribe and is the Campaign’s final boss fight on mission 5, Command Deck Finale. The battle isn’t all that difficulty at all as long as you’re avoiding his gun/missiles/bomb fires. He’s extremely easy to kill with the Sternguard Veteran or Techmarine since this battle is all about range fighting. I suggest that you use the 25% Range damage and 15% Special Move Charge Perks (Note if you don’t have 25% perks then 15% will still do the trick). When facing the boss be sure to pick up the Power-Ups when necessary. Below are the phases and steps to defeating the Warboss once and for all:

Defeating the Warboss:

[spoiler=3]

Phase 1

Once you make your way towards the Warboss for the final confrontation with him after killing all the Orks and Turrets to get towards him. The Warboss will activate his powerful machine weapon that he’ll command and operate. When the machine begins to move, start off by shooting and destroying the three metal teeth plates that you see on the bottom of the machine. Once those are destroyed, concentrate on avoiding the giant gatling gun firing at you. The gatling gun’s fire can easily be avoided by pressing the :l2: sprint button right before the Warboss fires at you. Once that camera angle changes views the Warboss will begin to summon orks to dispose of you and will also be bombarding you with bombs. Once all the orks are killed you’ll see a cutscene of the doors/gates closing. The Warboss will stop moving for the time being during this phase, but will summon a lot of ork minions to dispose of you. Kill them all as usual and once the elevator descends down to the ground with more orks. Kill them to and hop onto the elevator. Kill anything else that spawns and once every ork is dead the elevator will rise to the upper platforms to the second phase of the final battle.

Phase 2

When you get to the top there will be a Health Restore Power-Up if you’re in need of health. For this phase you’ll need to destroy both the flamethrowers on the machine. Be on guard though for enemies will spawn on both your left and right sides. Staying on the right side will make both avoiding and destroy the flamethrowers much easier for you. Once you taken them out you’ll have to run towards the left and continue down the catwalk towards the other end of the upper platforms. Along the way, be sure to kill any orks that gets in your way and continue to avoid the gatling gun’s fire as the Warboss is now chasing after you. When you pass the catwalk and the camera angle changes views again. It’s time to destroy the gatling gun that was shooting at you all this time. There’s a Health Restore Power-Up in the box behind you if needed. Destroy the gun as you normally would and then continue towards the right to destroy the second gatling gun (don’t go too far right because once the second gatling gun is destroyed the catwalk crumbles and will kill you). Once the second gatling gun is taken out, quickly return back to the center and for the finally phase of the battle.

Phase 3

When you’ve return back to the center of the catwalk you’ll drop down on the lower platform. Kill all the orks and minions spawning in this area as usual. Once everything is dead, the camera angle will change views again towards the Warboss retreating backwards. This time the Warboss will be firing his cannon rockets towards you. Not only that, but there will be both bomb mines rowing across the area on the field along with some orks running towards you. Keep your range and dispose of everything safely. Once you’re given the opportunity to target and destroy the cannon on the machine. Do so and destroy it quickly. Once it’s destroyed you’ll have to kill a lot of orks and minions spawn from the ground. Dispose of them as normal and the Warboss will continue to move backwards again. This time he’ll be shooting a belly cannon at you and some bomb mines and orks will spawn. Be sure to pick up the Power-Ups that you see and you should also now have grenades. Your last objectives are to destroy the three pillars that support the Warboss’s machine. Be on guard while you’re destroying these pillars for a lot of orks will spawn to kill you. Throwing your grenades at the pillars will make quick work of them as well. Once all three pillars are all destroyed kill any remaining ork left and a cutscene will trigger and the death of the Warboss shall be at hand.

Complete a mission without using melee

For this trophy, you must compete a mission without using melee at all. This is best done with the Sternguard Veteran or the Techmarine since they're extremely reliant on range fighting over the melee. You can do this on any mission as long as you don't press the :cross: button. Pressing the melee button will stop the trophy from unlocking even if you didn't physical hit an enemy with it. If you're having trouble doing this on certain missions, then try attempting this trophy on the very first mission of Chem-Generator Assault. If you’ve done it right, your trophy will unlock at the mission complete screen.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1126/10.jpg Honour in My Shield (S)

Complete a mission without dying

This is another easy trophy and can be done any mission in the Campaign as long as you don't die. This is best done with the Sternguard Veteran or the Techmarine since they're extremely reliant on range fighting. Be sure to use Power-Ups, equipped perks such as Range Damage increase, and Special Move Charge. Be sure to use your special move to kill enemies more quickly and overall play it safe with caution. If you're having trouble doing this on certain missions, then try attempting this trophy on the very first mission of Chem-Generator Assault. If you’ve done it right, your trophy will unlock at the mission complete screen.

For the Emperor! (S)

Get over 50 kills with each weapon type

Each of the Space Marine Units has 3 primary weapons that you'll need to get 50 kills over with each. You can keep track of how many kills you gotten with each Space Marine Unit's primary weapons by going into the Player Stats screen. By the end of your 1st and 2nd Campaigns you'll have at least two Space Marines kills done with their weapon kills. For your remaining weapon kills for the other Space Marine Units. Simply start up a Survival or Campaign and finish your remaining weapon kills. Once you gotten well over 50 kills, simply get killed and switch weapons (it's only in Survival were you can die and switch weapons on the fly) or if you're in playing the Campaign you can change weapons at the Upgrade Beacon. Repeat this with each primary weapon for each Space Marine Unit and the trophy is yours. Below is a list of the Space Marine Unit's primary weapons needed for the 50 kills each:

Space Marine Unit's Three Primary Weapons:

[spoiler=4]

Sternguard Veteran

  1. Heavy Bolter
  2. Plasma Cannon
  3. Missile Launcher

Librarian

  1. Power Sword
  2. Force Sword
  3. Force Sword Epic

Vanguard Veteran

  1. Chainsword
  2. Power Axe
  3. Lightning Claw

Techmarine

  1. Bolter Gun
  2. Plasma Gun
  3. Melta Gun

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1126/12.jpg Chapter Master (G)

Play through each mission with two different Space Marines

You'll need to complete the Campaign with two different Space Marines for this trophy. You can keep track of the Space Marines that you used from the Mission Select screen. At the bottom of the screen you'll see shadow figures of the 4 different Space Marine Units. If you cleared a mission with a particular Space Marine then you'll see that Space Marine highlighted with their highest score achieved on that mission. Keep in mind that clearing a mission in co-op mode will not count toward this trophy due to the fact that's clearing a mission only in co-op. Once you have two different Space Marines highlighted for each of the 5 missions available from the Campaign, your trophy will unlock.

Thank you all for being patient and enjoy the guide.

Well written guide. Looks like you've put a lot of effort into it.

Been thinking of picking this, up so when I do this will help a lot.

Why thank you, I hope it helps you. :D

This is probably one of the game I didn't use any guide to complete 100%. Even collectibles are easy to find.

Yes, it's a very easy 100% to obtain. ;)

I am VERY aggravated. I'm trying to play the 2nd Survival Mission but it's not letting me choose my character. It gave me the Sternguard and won't let me select a different marine. Do you actually have to play the corresponding mission with say the Librarian in order to use the Librarion on that mission's Survival map?

Just making sure, the Aquila Medal is Gold in color?

Yes it's a Gold colored medal. For the survival missions you have no choice but to play with the given Space Marine. I hope this answers your questions.
