YokA_sun
I had my doubt on this purchase I admit, although I am avid Sony fan especially when it comes to gaming consoles. I was not that into high tech stuff touch screen social networking stuff e.g. all the popular hundred types or pads the market. I was really impressed by the sound quality. I don't know whether they used some new technology to implement the sound department? The gaming music/background sound and MP3s I have tried all amazed me. Sorry if someone else already had a thread about this. I just want to point out (if I am asked to put one favorite thing about vita) the sound is really AMAZING1 It's better than any handheld devices I have ever own, including ipad, touchpad and a few others. P.S. I use Sony MDRz1000 earphones and Bose 3 series. I also used a pair of regular sony earphones (came with a mp3 player). Actually the regular earphone really shows the big difference between this sweet Vita and other 'regular' handhelds.

Misantropus
Quality is very good but even using high-end headphones I find the volume to be too low.
demonslayerQ
for me the music scaling is too weird... max volume is fine, but once it reaches to like 75% it gets suddenly very soft. this is on speakers btw
SoPoF
Compared to the PSP, it's muuuch better. However, I wonder why they placed the speakers where the player will have his/her thumbs most of the time. I always seem to cover them with mine.
