Kaero
Last Updated: September 23, 2012 While Sony originally announced that ALL PS3 games would be playable via remote play on a PSVita, reality has revealed that this is indeed false, and it works only with select Ps3 games. My aim is to create a list of all the games that are confirmed to work OFFICIALLY* via remote play and all the games that don't work. It's been confirmed that the remote play feature has to be enabled in a game by the developer** for it to work so some PS3 titles that currently don't support remote play may in the future, if the developer so wishes to patch the game to enable that feature. IF YOU HAVE A GAME THAT ISN'T LISTED PLEASE TEST IT AND REPORT BACK! http://i.minus.com/jbfGQ8wVBbbHWJ.png *Games running on remote play via hacked/custom firmware / jailbroken PS3s (whatever you want to call it) will NOT be included in this list. **PS3 titles that are played via Remote Play need a bit of customization for memory and CPU use. Sony is finishing up work on a library that facilitates this and will be sending a beta version of this out to developers to test upcoming and old titles. Kaero
Playstation Vita Remote Play Information Official information gathered from the blog posts on Playstation Blog, and the comments left by the Playstation Blog Staff. If you have any questions that the information here does not answer, please click here to send me a PM and I'll try and find out the answer and get back to you as well as add it here! http://i.minus.com/jbfGQ8wVBbbHWJ.png PS Vita: Our 9 Favorite Tips Ever wish you could log into your PS3 remotely to access a video or initiate a PlayStation Store download? This handy feature isn’t technically new — it was supported on PSP — but thanks to PS Vita’s monstrous OLED screen and more powerful processors, it’s more useful than ever. Protip: Remote Play is compatible with any PSone games you may have on your hard drive, along with a handful of classic PSN games such as PixelJunk Monsters, PixelJunk Eden, and Peggle. Comment #7 I thought the vita could remote play ps3 games or did you take that away? Nope, does not support PS3 play at this time, though an early version of this functionality was demonstrated using Killzone 3 back at Tokyo Game Show. Stay tuned! Comment #11 When will we be able to play our downloaded PS1 games on the Vita? No word, but that is coming. In the meantime, you can use Remote Play — it works pretty well if you’re in the same house! http://i.minus.com/jbfGQ8wVBbbHWJ.png Edited July 2, 2012 by Kaero

Kaero
I'm hesitant to add those from the youtube video because for all I know they could be using hacked firmware on their PS3 in order to get them working =\ I'll add them if someone can verify that they actually do work though, as I don't own either of those games. Also I got my friend to test his retail copy of inFamous and it didn't work for him, and I tested the digital copy so unless someone can prove me otherwise I'm just going to assume that if the retail version doesn't work, the digital version won't either, and vice versa. ALSO since all PS1 classics just work via remote play in general those won't be listed, though I haven't heard anything about the more recent PS2 classics. trekerie
I tried Twisted Metal Black (PS2 Classic) and it had no success. Homefront and Infamous 2 also did not work. The PS3 running the games in the videos are probably running CFW. But one thing I tried today that does work is Media Server playback if that counts for anything. Kaero
Just noticed this in the Ultimate FAQ post on the PSblog: Q: Is there a possibility of certain PS3 games using PS Vita as a second screen or peripheral at some point in the future? A: Remote Play on PS Vita will allow you to see and control your PS3 from your PS Vita; we’ll have further details to share in the future. Seems to me like remote play in games hasn't been implemented yet =\
tbond22
Just noticed this in the Ultimate FAQ post on the PSblog: Seems to me like remote play in games hasn't been implemented yet =\ I was just going to post the same thing. I tried some of my PSN games like Peggle, Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies and a few others. None of them worked. I think we have to give it at least until the official launch. Veritas7Ax
I don't recall them ever saying it was originally planned to work with "all games". It was going to work with some, then be a case by case basis.

Maybe future games will be more compatible than past games.

Hopefully they'll get it runing fast.
tbond22
So I looked at the Wikipedia page for remote play and there is a very short list of games listed. I can confirm that Peggle, Bejewled 2 (already confirmed and Singstar do work. It makes me laugh that a few of the games that work are Singstar games considering you would never play a singing game on the Vita. Hopefully they will add many more games. Veritas7Ax
Yeah. They never said all games. They just said "some" games. But so far it dosent seems to work with many(if any). Hopefully they'll get it runing fast. My feeling (hope) is that in a few weeks/months they really get behind it and allow you to use it on a lot of the major titles from the past 2 years, plus a "fair" portion of upcoming games. Expecting it on every game, even every major game (your inFamouses, your Uncharteds, your Batmans, etc.) is probably unrealistic. If it gets a decent amount of support though, particularly with titles people will be buying, then I'd be happy with that. I'd like to think they're definitely going to push it, since it seems to me they're making it part of their advertising (MLB 12: The Show). HikariOblivion
Found this thread doing a google search for this very thing, and decided: hey, why not contribute. Works: Hitogata Happa (PSN) previously confirmed, but I double checked them on the vita. Lego Batman (disc) Pixeljunk Shooter (demo) Launches, but: Gundemonium Recollection (PSN) (breaks remote play session, but is working when the connection is re-established) Gundeadligne (PSN) (see above) Pixejunk Eden (PSN) (caused my PS3 to reset? Granted, there's a patch I haven't downloaded so there was that, too) and the Junk pile Not Working: Folklore LEGO Harry Potter 1-4 Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Hakuna Matata (Afrika) Aquanaut's Holiday Hopefully more compatability does get added. It'd definitely be a nice feature.
