Boosting rank A didn't take that long as far as I remember. Doing full sets and just taking it in turns of winning, took about 10hrs.

I'm going to vote 21-25hrs.

I take it you had a reliable boosting partner? I've been trying to find one for ages, when I finally found one, our connection denied us 2 out of 3 times.

When doing it without boosting you're also dealing with rage quitters. I'm not sure if I'll ever reach the final rank.

As with any trophy that requires playing a large number of online games, the key seems to be to try not to win any matches when playing randoms. The good thing is you get the same amount of experience whether you win or lose, just try and play as many sets as possible.
