Overview

Estimated Difficulty: 4/10

Offline: 51 (42(B)|5(S)|3(G)|1(P) )

Online: 0

Approximate Time: 30+ Hours

Minimum Number of Playthroughs:

Missable Trophies: 4 High Esteem, No Drugs, Apple Wine and Stealth Master

Glitched Trophies: None

Does Difficulty Affect Trophies:No, you can play the whole game on easy.

Roadmap

Step 1 – Playthrough One – Honourable Way

During Playthrough one you will be getting yourself used to the combat mechanics of the game and will be aiming to get most of the available trophies.

This game does not have an autosave feature, so you will have to remember to save often, especially as the game has been known to glitch slightly and cause NPC characters to disappear. The only fix I have found for this is to reload a previous save file.

This playthrough will be played the honourable way, so make sure that whenever you talk to either Death or Benedict, your choice of answer should always lean toward peace and love etc… Also try not to solve any mission by fighting. Sometimes this is not possible, but if given a choice always choose the honourable outcome. You will also want to let Death kill the final boss.

There are six trophies in this game that relate to joining and completing quests for a certain guild (two for each guild). As there are three guilds and two different endings you will be playing this game a total of 2 and a half times (I will explain the half later). For this playthrough when given the option of which guild to join, I suggest you join the ‘Order of the Holy Seal’.

Also during this playthrough I suggest you aim to get the No Drugs trophy, which is awarded for completing the game without using healing items. This is not as hard as it sounds. Check the trophy description for more details.

You will also want to aim to complete any optional quests during this playthrough so that you can unlock Quest Master; see the trophy description for additional information.

Apart from the above, just play through the game normally taking care to note the missable trophies.

Step 2 – Playthrough Two – Villainous Way

Start a new game and again select easy as your difficulty.

This playthrough you will be concentrating on completing the game the Villainous way. Therefore whenever you talk to either Death or Benedict always choose the option which discusses vengeance/revenge. Also whenever you complete quests/talk to NPCs, always choose the threaten/fight option rather than the more friendly version. You will also want to kill the final boss at the end of the game yourself.

When you get to the quest where you have to choose a guild to join, you need to do two things. Firstly make a save, which you will use as part of step 3; so do not over write this save. Secondly you need to choose a guild. I suggest you join ‘Net of the Mask’.

You should have all the missable trophies/gameplay trophies from your first playthrough, but if you are missing any I suggest you get them during this playthrough as step 3 will only be a part playthrough.

If you just worry about the main story quests during this playthrough, you should be able to complete this step within 10 hours.

Step 3 – Playthrough Three - ½ a playthrough.

Remember the save file you created during step 2? Reload this…

Now when you select your guild, join ‘Hooded Wings’.

Just complete all quests for the Hooded Wings and when you complete the final quest for them the final trophy and the platinum will unlock.

Congratulations

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/05.jpgFirst Chapter Complete (B)

Chapter 1 Completed

STORY RELATED UNMISSABLE

This trophy will unlock after you defeat the first boss of the game ‘The Mistress’.
Firstly she will be jumping around on platforms above you. Just run around the arena and destroy all five wooden supports with your hammer, until the platforms fall and the mistress falls down to the floor. Now is the time to attack her. Just hit away at her with :cross:, using whichever weapon you are comfortable with. Once she is defeated you will then face her demon form. This again is a very easy fight. Just avoid getting hit by the tentacles and when one of them rolls inwards, just attack it until it is destroyed. Do this five times for all tentacles and then attack the head.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/06.jpgSecond Chapter Complete (B)

Chapter 2 Completed

STORY RELATED UNMISSABLE

This trophy will unlock after you defeat the second boss of the game, ‘Hector’.
Hector cannot be defeated using weapons, instead you need to use the environment to destroy his human form. Firstly run to the back of the room to destroy his Urn and then stand near one of the columns in the middle of the room and wait until he attacks you. Roll out of the way using :square: and he should destroy the column. Do this to both columns and you should defeat his human form. His demon form can be attacked by weapons. Just attack his right leg until he drops and then attack his back. He will eventually fall onto his belly. This is the point where you attack his head. It should only take a few attacks on his head to kill him

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/07.jpgThird Chapter Complete (B)

Chapter 3 Completed

STORY RELATED UNMISSABLE

This trophy will unlock after you defeat the third boss of the game, ‘The Princess’.
The human form of ‘The Princess’ is very easy to defeat. Just avoid the skeletons and attack the totems that she summons. After you have destroyed four of these her human form will be defeated and then you will face her demon form. ‘The Princess’’ demon form is a large bird which fires laser beams at you. Just roll using :square: to avoid these beams, until she drops on the floor where you can attack her beak. Once you do this she will drop a shield and spear, which you need to equip to use to reflect the laser beams back at her. Hit her four times with rebound laser beams and she is defeated

Training in Village Successfully Accomplished

When you start the main part of the game you are in your house talking to your mother. As you exit the house you will see some steps to the right that lead down to a cliff side. Follow these steps and you will see a person standing there called ‘Brawler’. Speak to him and ask to complete training.

To complete the training you have to avoid Brawler’s hits and counter attack five times using the :cross: button. If he hits you twice the training is over and you have not passed. If this happens walk away and then return to speak to him again. The option to train will reappear.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/18.jpgTrained Attack Combiner (B)

Combined Attacks Training Successfully Accomplished

After you leave your village on the road to Venice, you are attacked and forced to enter the Windmill Tavern. After you defeat the enemies inside the tavern and then free the prisoners held hostage in the store room, speak to Yngvar (the soldier in armour) and ask him to teach you combined attacks.

To complete the training you have to combine attacks first one attack, then two and finally three.Just follow the instructions on the screen and once complete the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/19.jpgTrained Roller (B)

Rolling Training Successfully Accomplished

One of the first story quests in the game sends you down towards a hut in the woods. Once there you will meet Don and Nesta, two brothers having an argument. Proceed the story by agreeing to help them and then complete the quest.

After you have completed the quest speak to them again to learn rolling training. To complete the training you have to roll away from their attacks five times. Do this by pressing :square: just before they attack.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/20.jpgArena Champion (B)

All enemies in the Arena Defeated

During the last chapter you can speak to a NPC called ‘Gero’. He will allow you to register for a tournament. You have to beat five waves of enemies to complete the tournament. Your health does not replenish during rounds so be prepared to defend or roll out of the way, as if you are trying to get this trophy whilst simultaneously getting No Drugs you will not be able to use healing items.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/22.jpgLeather Style (B)

Leather Mail Acquired

This will come naturally during the game as a few enemies carry Leather Mail (Unfitting) which you can get when you loot their bodies after you defeat them.

Once you have this go to a Blacksmith, either Mattheo in San Pasquale or the blacksmith in the Venice and have them customize the armour to your size. This will cost you 500 Ducats, but once paid your defence will increase and the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/23.jpgPlate Style (B)

Plate Mail Acquired

You will get access to the Plate Mail sometime towards the end of Chapter two.

At the end of the game choose to kill the final boss yourself, and this will unlock after completing the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/30.jpgBurglar (B)

Gain 1200 experience by cracking locks

You unlock the skill to crack locks at the beginning of act 2, just after you enter Venice. Don and Nesto will show you a button sequence to crack a lock and if you just copy that you will crack a lock and get some experience (either 15, 20, 30 or 50 xp). Just crack ever lock you come across; doors, chests etc, and once you have gained 1200 experience, which will be sometime during act 3, you will unlock this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/33.jpgHigh Esteem (B)

Earn 2000 Reputation Points

MISSABLE TROPHY

When you play through the game you will gain reputation points whenever you complete certain quests, so as long as you are completing all the side quests you should get this by the end of the game. I have created a quest list which shows the quests which give reputation points. This can be found [thread=87120]HERE[/thread]

The reason this trophy is missable is because the game does not give you reputation points if you find the quested item before you receive the quest… For example. If you kill the Gripper Queen before getting the quest. This is a problem as there only seems to be a small margin of error with regards to reputation in this game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/35.jpgBright Views (B)

Find a special lookout point in the Outer City

There are various special lookout points dotted around the game. This one can be accessed by entering the Western Tower and climbing to the top floor. Go out of the door into Outer City and then cross over the bridge. Use your magic to enter the twilight world and then go through the portal. The trophy will then unlock

Find a special lookout point in the Arsenal District

There are various special lookout points dotted around the game. This one can be accessed by leaving Largo’s Administration Centre and walking straight ahead across the wooden planks. There are vases scattered throughout the game which are destroyable and more often than not contain either money or treasure. Just destroy every one that you see and this will come naturally during the game.

When you are asked how many enemies you want to fight against choose four and then just attack all four until their health depletes. Once the training has been complete you will unlock the trophy.

Credit to Pkopetzky for the following tip:

Use "Blood vortex" and run in circles so they can't hit you. Wait till the spell cools down, rinse and repeat.

· First Twilight Circle – Raven’s Eye

· Second Twilight Circle – Blood Vortex

· Third Twilight Circle – Scream of Death

Level 32 Reached

As you kill enemies and complete quests you get experience points which allow you to level up. Just reach level 32 to unlock this trophy and the one for reaching level 20 True Hero

You may reach the end of the game without reaching this level. If you do, head to Africa and speak to Gero to enter the tournament. Equip the Harvester Weapon, which you find whilst digging for treasure in Africa, and keep killing the enemies in the tournament and you will reach Level 32 in no time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/02.jpgThe End (G)

Game Completed

STORY RELATED UNMISSABLE

Once you face and defeat the final boss at the end of the game this trophy will unlock.
Victor is quite easy in his human form as all you have to do is remove the curse from the Doge and then attack him. Repeat this three times to then face Victor in demon form. All you have to do is roll with :square: to avoid the energy balls and then attack when you get close enough. Repeat this until you defeat him and he returns to human form. Again just roll away from his attacks and then attack when you see the opportunity

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/388/04.jpgNo Drugs (G)

Game Finished without consuming any healing items.

MISSABLE TROPHY

This sounds a lot harder than it actually is especially if you are playing on easy difficulty.

You can still heal yourself by sleeping or visiting a doctor, just do not use any healing items at all. I found it safer to just sell any I collected as soon as I could, just to avoid any risks. If you accidentally use a healing item, reload a previous save file and carry on from there.

Hehe another easy-ish RPG plat. Can't wait to try it. ;D

Under High Esteem, can you highlight "MISSABLE" in red maybe?

Oh, and many MB is it? (I don't want the number on the back of the game)

High Esteem has been included in the missable section of the roadmap and has missable on the trophy description, so I don't think highlighting it in red is really needed

I do not know what you mean regarding MB?!?!?!

The Beast Nightmare is directing you to another trophy description which has now been corrected...

There are two Gripper Queens in this game. One

It still reads "??" at the top :( Wasn't Gripper Queen missable, too?

Is there an install when you start up the game for the first time? If yes, how many megabytes/gigabytes does it require?

(check Game Data Utility)

I hope the US version is bug-free :D

Sorry I forgot about changing the ??? in the roadmap... These will be corrected in a minute.

The Gripper Queen is not really missable as there are two opportunites in the game to get the quest for it and the whole purpose of the quest is to defeat the Queen...

There was no install when I loaded up the game, but that is not to say there was not a small one... I will look later tonight to see if there is anything on the Game Data Utility... :)

A list of quests that reward you with reputation would be nice - as there is probably a very small margin for error and you'd want to make sure to at least finish those quests...

Funny you should mention this..... I missed the reputation trophy on my first playthrough by 20 points and I am sure I completed all the quests....

I am working through playthrough number 2 now and am listing down all the quests where I get rep points... Hopefully then I am everyone else will be able to get this trophy.... :)

That would be brilliant... I will happily give you credit for any information you give that I add to the guide...... :)

Did you get the Rep points from the chap in front of the Ampitheatre????

No - I had 0 rep points then, only started to get reputation after finishing the first thieves guild quests. You also don't get reputation by finishing quests given to you by thieves or thugs (i.e. Rat and Crowe).

I understand it that you got about 30 rep points if you tell this guy that you are from the mountains....

There are more quests where you do not get reputation than ones where you do.... Later on in the game you get the chance to help a vicar who gives you 900 rep points.... :)

I have one other request, if you don't mind ;)

I was looking for the right spot for the trophy "Bright Views" yesterday, but couldn't find it - I probably got confused by the term "western tower" - do you have a screenshot or a short video showing the way?

Of course I do not mind... I do not have a video or screenshot, but....

With the Ampitheatre at the back of you and the bridge leading to the market in front of you, you will see three towers on north (next to the bridge), this is the tavern, where you can go and see Crowe by climbing to the top.

The one to your left (east) is the guard tower and the one to the right (west) is the Western tower.....

Does this help????

EDIT: I have created a thread for Reputation quests here [thread=87120]Rep Points[/thread] Please feel free to add any quests you find that are not on my list....I am missing some!!

Thanks! Finally found it. It's the tower entrance right next to Madeleine, right to the top and over the bridge to the dead end.

Just reach level 32 to unlock this trophy and the one for reaching level 20 True Hero

You may reach the end of the game without reaching this level, if you do head to Africa and speak to Gero to enter the tournament. Keep winning this and you will reach Level 32 in no time.

Did that really work for u? I tried that but I do not gain any experience points. But I can gain experience when I'm equipped with the Experience-Axe(?! Have german verison lol). With the axe equipped u gain about 1400 experience in the 5 battles; not so bad afterall!
