http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/02.jpgSlalom Star Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at slalom in a single player game.

To win at slalom you are going to have to weave through the poles as best as you can while holding down R2 as much as possible. This race isn't so much about speed as it is about positioning. However, you will still need to keep progressing down the hill at a reasonable pace to win.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/03.jpgGiant Slalom Guru Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at giant slalom in a single player game.

Giant slalom is pretty much like downhill skiing so just go as fast as possible and you should be able to stay on the course easily enough.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/04.jpgSuper-G Superstar Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at super-G in a single player game.

Super-G is a more advanced version of Downhill skiing. The course will be similar except you will have to maneuver through tighter turns at higher speeds. With some practice and after learning the course this one should be pretty easy as well.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/05.jpgDownhill Dominator Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at downhill in a single player game.

Downhill is the easiest skiing event, just hold down R2 and stay in the middle of the course and it should be an easy race.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/06.jpgSki Cross Supreme Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at ski cross in a single player game.

Ski Cross is a very easy event to win gold. Out of the starting gate you just want to hold R2 and keep your speed as high as possible. Then just make sure you get a high rating for your jumps in the range of 85-100% and it should be an easy race.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/07.jpgSnowboard Cross Champion Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at snowboard cross in a single player game.

See Ski Cross Supreme

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/08.jpgParallel Giant Slalom Pro Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at parallel giant slalom in a single player game.

The key here is to hit each of the gates while staying on the inside of the pole. Think of the tallest part of the gate as the pole and the low part of the gate as a loose flap. Just snowboard through the flap to decrease your time because it will allow you to set up a better angle going into the next gate. Hitting the gates in this manner will not slow you down because the gates will just bend backwards as you go through them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/09.jpgSki Jump Champion Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at ski jumping in a single player game.

At the start of the event you want to press X when your coach's arm is halfway down to get a 100% Wind Grade. Then press X when the bar is completely full to get a 100% Push-Off Grade. After going down the jump you want to press and hold X when you are near the bottom of the jump and get the meter as close to 100 for a good Jump Grade. Next you will have to try to maintain your balance, which is the hardest part of the jump. Thanks to Petedappa for the tip of alternatively pressing R2 and L2 as fast as possible to keep your balance score as high as possible. It will start at 100 and continue to drop if you do not press R2 and L2 fast enough. Finally you just need to stick the landing by pressing X when the bar drops near to the bottom and you should be able to get the gold easily.

I jumped over 135m on both of my attempts and scored a 265 average for both of my jumps.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/10.jpgAerials Ace Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at aerials in a single player game.

Aerials is one of the most pointless events in the game. First you need to select a trick, keep in mind that the higher DD (Degree of Difficulty) the more points you will score in the end because your total score is multiplied by the DD to determine you final score. You need to hit X when the gauge is close to the middle for a good Aim Grade. Then hold the X button when your approaching the ramp until it gets to 100 for a good Take-Off. Then while you are in the air a blue circle with a "L" in it and if you selected a difficult trick there will also be a green circle with a "R" in it will appear on the screen. These two circles will rotate in a pre-designed fashion that is supposed to mimic the move that you are attempting to pull-off. All you have to do is move the Left Analog stick which will move a big Blue bar such that you keep the Blue Bar over the Blue Circle, and vice versa with Right Analog Stick and the Green Circle. Finally press the X button to land and you should get a high score pretty easily.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/11.jpg500 m Short Track Hero Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at 500 m short track speed skating in a single player game.

500m Short Track is very easy, just keep pressing X as fast as you can until you get your speed bar completely full. Keep pressing it as fast as you can and use L2 to lean. If you turn as tight as possible then the computer skaters will be unable to pass you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/12.jpg1,500 m Short Track Specialist Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at 1,500 m short track speed skating in a single player game.

This is a bit harder than 500m short track because you have to stay in rhythm for the first 1000m of the race. If your using the 3rd person camera angle you want to press X when your skate is completely touching the ice (if you did this correctly a green footprint will appear on the ice). Or you can press circle during the race to switch to a first person camera angle which displays two bars which tell you when to press X. Use L2 to turn and once you finish 10 laps, then the controls switch to the 500m short track controls where you just keep pressing X as fast as you can.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/13.jpgBobsleigh Boss Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at bobsleigh in a single player game.

This is the same as Skeleton and Luge, except you will have to use both analog sticks to steer so follow the same strategy of going high on the turns and try not to bang into walls because it will slow the bobsleigh down very much.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/14.jpgSkeleton Crazy Bronze Trophy

Win a gold at skeleton in a single player game.

The keys to this event is just staying in the middle of the track on the straightaways and going as high as possible on the turns to get a good Turn Grade. The screen will start to turn red and the controller will vibrate like crazy when you get near the top of the screen, but this is good because you will be generating a lot of speed. Just be sure to come back down so you dont flip off the track and disqualify yourself. The key to the last turn is to enter high, and then when you see te "Vancouver 2010" in the middle of the track, drop down to that level and you should exit the final turn straight into the finish line.

If done correctly you should finish around 4 seconds ahead of the computer AI after the first run and your second run should be easy if you just repeat what you did on the first try.

Win a gold at luge in a single player game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/16.jpgBest With Friends Bronze Trophy

Play a 4 player game on one system.

Very simple if you just do 500m Speed Skating with 4 controllers. This way all you have to do is skate with the 1st player and leave the other 4 controllers alone. After you finish the race in 2 minutes the game will disqualify the other players for taking too long and this trophy will be yours.

If you dont have 4 PS3 controllers you can use Rock Band/Guitar Hero guitars or drums. A PS3 BluRay Remote may also work as well. I have not tested if Buzz controllers will work but I don't think they will.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/17.jpgOnline Olympian Bronze Trophy

Play an event online.

You can get all 3 online trophies at the same time by Creating an Online Game and then winning the same event 5 times in a row without leaving the Game Lobby.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/22.jpgIn The 80’s Bronze Trophy

Complete the In the 80’s Challenge.

All you have to do is finish a single Aerials jump with a grade of 80 or higher in each of the scoring categories.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/30.jpgBeat Your Maker Bronze Trophy

Complete the Beat Your Maker Challenge.

This trophy is one of the most disappointing trophies in the game because the developers ai controlled skier is really slow and not very challenging at all. Should take little to no effort to stay in front of the cpu player.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/31.jpgHigh Speed Bronze Trophy

Complete the High Speed Challenge.

Complete the challenge criteria, no explanation is necessary.

Complete the challenge criteria, no explanation is necessary.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/33.jpgCaught Speeding Bronze Trophy

Complete the Caught Speeding Challenge.

There are 5 gates that will record your speed as you pass through them, you will need an average of 95.0km/h at the end of the race, which is also the last gate that will record your speed. My splits were: 81.4, 83.2, 101.7, 107.2, 108.5. (96.3km/h average).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/34.jpgTop Speed Bronze Trophy

Complete the Top Speed Challenge.

Here you just have to hit the target speed to complete the challenge. Focus on going as fast as possible and try to stay on the course, once you get close to the target speed you can just aim straight ahead and even miss a few gates, as long as you dont miss more than 3 gates.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/35.jpgTime To Try Bronze Trophy

Complete the Time To Try Challenge.

Complete the challenge criteria, no explanation is necessary.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/36.jpgHead To Head Bronze Trophy

Complete the Head To Head Challenge.

Here you have to face a very difficult CPU snowboarder in the Parallel Giant Slalom. The key here is to hit each of the gates while staying on the inside of the pole. Think of the tallest part of the gate as the pole and the low part of the gate as a loose flap. Just snowboard through the flap to decrease your time because it will allow you to set up a better angle going into the next gate. Hitting the gates in this manner will not slow you down because the gates will just bend backwards as you go through them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/42.jpgSave The Snowmen Bronze Trophy

Complete the Save The Snowmen Challenge.

Simple enough, just avoid hitting the snowmen while still staying on the course. It is a little difficult to see where the snowmen are on the course with the 3rd person camera angle, so changing the camera angle by pressing Circle might help you to see them better.

This is a simple challenge, just go as fast as possible and this shouldn't be too difficult.

Complete the Winners Use Tokens Challenge.

Complete the challenge criteria, no explanation is necessary.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/49.jpgTarget Practice Bronze Trophy

Complete the Target Practice Challenge.

I got this on a 139m jump and landed in 139.2m. The key here is to get a 100% Wind Grade, and a 100% Take-Off Grade, then keep adjusting your Push-Off Speed to match the Target Distance and this one should come after some hard work.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/51.jpgReverse Engineering Bronze Trophy

Complete the Reverse Engineering Challenge.

You have to complete a Ski Cross race with inverted controls. This wasn't as hard as I anticipated, only took my 2 tries. Just steer in the opposite direction of the turn, not too difficult.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/023.jpgIn The 90’s Silver Trophy

Complete the In the 90’s Challenge.

For this challenge you will need to complete a Ski Jump where you score a 90% grade or higher in each of the 5 categories: Wind, Push-Off, Jump, Balance, and Landing.

In the beginning you should watch your coach on the left side of the screen. When he puts his arm down halfway, press X for a 100% Wind Grade, then get the push off bar completely full for another 100%, the next two parts are the hardest. You want to time your take-off to where your close to the bottom of the jump and hold down X till you get it to the middle at 100%. Finally in the air you will need to keep your balance which will be insanely bad. The trick to keep your balance above 90% is to alternatively press R2 & L2 as fast as you can. And then when your near the bottom of the hill get ready to press X again to land. Thanks to Petedappa for the Balance tip

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/025.jpgLap It Up Silver Trophy

Complete the Lap It Up Challenge.

You should try to start the challenge in the 1st position, and by going into the ready position after everyone else has should make it easier to get a good start. Once everyone else goes down, hold R2 or L2 and then a fraction of a second later the race will start. You need to have a near perfect race and the ultimate key is turning as tight as possible and try to only press L2 once per turn, this will keep you tight on the turn and help you come out of the turn as straight as possible. I lapped the last CPU racer about 2 strides before the end of the challenge, so this one will go down to the wire every time. You want to be on the same turn with the computer skater with about a lap and a half to go. So in one lap you should be able to get up right behind them, and then you have to make your move on the last turn and try to cut them off on the inside to win it. But make sure you dont get over-eager because if you hit a cone or bump the racer you will ruin your chance for glory and it will make it even more frustrating. If you get close with about a lap to go you can try to take the outside lane that way you dont have to squeeze into a tight place, and hopefully you can come out of the turn strong and pass them just before the finish line.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/28.jpgOvertake Silver Trophy

Complete the Overtake Challenge.

This one sounds complicated but I was actually able to complete it relatively easily. By holding down R2 and keeping a tight line in between the sticks I kept a clean run and passed the Computer AI about halfway through the race (37.03 seconds). I only missed one gate and just kept weaving my way through.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/029.jpgSmashing Snowmen Silver Trophy

Complete the Smashing Snowmen Challenge.

This challenge is very tricky because you will not have enough time to finish the race if you try to get the first 10 snowmen you see. I finished the race with 3 seconds left by smashing the first 3 snowmen and then only going after the other snowmen that were in the middle of the course. Even if you are missing a few, there are 3 snowmen that are easily obtainable near the end of the course, so you can simply get those and save yourself a few seconds.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/37.jpgSuper Runout Silver Trophy

Complete the Super Runout Challenge.

See Runout Challenge

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/038.jpgRunout Silver Trophy

Complete the Runout Challenge.

All you have to do is keep a good speed so you pass through the gates before time runs out. It may take a few runs before you find the quickest routes but it should be simple enough.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/039.jpgGood Gate / Bad Gate Silver Trophy

Complete the Good Gate / Bad Gate Challenge.

This challenge is simple, just go through the Blue gates and go around the Red gates and finish the course.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/40.jpgToken Effort Silver Trophy

Complete the Token Effort Challenge.

This is simple enough, just collect enough tokens and finish the race, this is a quick race.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/41.jpgSkating With Snowmen Silver Trophy

Complete the Skating With Snowmen Challenge.

This is a 500m Short Track event with snow men placed on the inside of the first turn, and in the middle of the second turn. You want to start in the 3rd or 4th position and stay towards the middle/outside of each turn. Just lean a little bit through each turn and stay towards the outside and this event should be simple.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/342/50.jpgDo Not Touch Silver Trophy

Complete the Do Not Touch Challenge.

This is one of the toughest challenges in the game. You have to complete the Skeleton course without ever touching the small side walls. The key here is to use the same technique to get the Gold Medal in Skeleton except try to stay as high on turns for as long as possible so that you can slingshot into the next turn almost effortlessly.

Thanks. Game is relatively easy until you get down to the last 2 challenges. But I really liked the game, its much better than Beijing 2008

Wow, I am having a VERY hard time with this game. It's getting incredibly frustrating! I am following your guide for each event to a T, but it sure reads easier then it is done.

For mens downhill slalom, are you using carve at all? I know it slows speed but it is the only way I'm able to make some of the gates.

I'm consistently finishing 5-10 seconds behind gold medalist in the timed events except the skeleton sled event.

Landing Zone Bronze Trophy

Complete the Landing Zone Challenge.

This is the only one holding me back thus far, and it's also the only one without an explanation. Where the hell is the target? I landed in between the two red lines and I still fail the challenge -_-

EDIT: I finally found the target, upper left corner, the 2nd jump didn't tell me my distance while I was in mid air, the first one did but I only saw it right before I landed. That event was so friggin lame.

I think if the distance is really low you have to do a poor jump to get near the landing zone and vice versa if it's a long distance you'll have to do a long jump, took me a while to get this one as well but you'll eventually get lucky
