The Artists of PS3T ~ Collective Works of Art

Welcome to the PS3T.org Membership Gallery

I thought it would be a great idea to have a Member Gallery for personally created works of art. Regardless of whether or not you are artistically inclined the chances are, you've made something unique and special before.

This thread is for you to post and display everything and anything you have personally made. It doesn't matter if it's recent or 20 years old. Good works of art age like fine wine!

Here are some examples of what you're free to post and display:

  • Paintings (acrylic, oil, water-based, etc)

  • Drawings (pencil, marker, charcoal, crayons, etc.)

  • Sculptures (clay, ceramic, plaster, etc.)

  • Furnishings (artwork created out of wood, metal, leather, etc.)

  • Digital (this thread isn't to display Sigs but more of full-fledged art you've created digitally; ie: Photoshop, Maya, etc.)

You're free to think outside of the box here. Did you custom paint your PS3? Maybe you just completed a beautiful paint job on a car? Post anything you want, but it must be a project YOU completed personally.

NOTE 1: The only rule for this thread is you must supply your PS3T name somewhere in the image, pic, photo etc. This should prevent off-topic threads about whether or not a posted image is authentic and property of the owner, etc.

NOTE 2: If you are interested in posting quite a bit of images please use Spoiler Tags so the thread stays cleaner and less cluttered. This will also allow members to browse the entire thread more efficiently.

I'll start by posting a few images of some abstract paintings I've done/am working on over 2009. I've not started anything new this year thus far.

I'm having issues putting my images in a Spoiler Tag for some reason. The site is doing wierd things when I try. I hope to have it fixed soon. Sorry!

What medium are these?

All the paintings so far are acrylic on canvas. Some of the paint is metallic for a certain 'look' I was trying to achieve.

Your paintings are pretty cool, i love pissing round with paint like that, when i finally end up getting my work back from college ill probably upload some stuff, Photography counts as well yeah?

Photography definately counts! Basically anything considered "art" regardless of the medium is what this is all about providing you are the one who created it.

And I should make a point that this isn't a competition thread so no one should feel hesitant on posting their work even if you feel it's not worth showing. Anyone who's every created something knows it's easy to be overly critical of your own art but that shouldn't stop you from sharing what you've done. :applause:

Wow, those painting are awesome! I left my art class in secondary school when my teacher drew all over my work, basically telling me my work was crap :p I've gotten into photography at uni though, so here's a few photos from my portfolio I had to do before Christmas.

Very nice photos, Poordaddy! I'm particularly fond of black and white's. There just something unique and special about them that creates a surrealistic mood and immersive atmosphere. Obviously, I'm a big fan of Ansel Adams, lol.

Keep up the good work, they're fantastic!^^

Thanks :) And I agree completely about black and whites. One of the big things I learned and adopted was the idea of using colour only when it added something to the picture. And its for the same reason I enjoyed Confirmed-Kill's, particularly the second one. First one didn't open though for me :(

I just have to post these images. This is what a friend of mine did to his new PS3 Slim and controller. It's an unbelievably amazing custom paint job with colors that change depending on the lighting. I'm not an expert on paint but this incredible.

Really nice idea and some great stuff in here :)

Can't find my own "art" at the moment, since I forgot on which hard drive I've put it lol. I'll post later if I can find it.

But I used to make textures for games (if that counts) :p but it's been a long time ago, since I don't play games on my PC anymore. It was as an amateur though, whenever a game would allow fans to make their own work (IL-2 Sturmovik, Silent Hunter III,...)

I also worked together with a few people to make a recreation of "Operation Market Garden" in the PC game IL-2 Sturmovik, although it never got finished :D

Wow! I'd definately say game modding/creation is considered a work of art, lol. Hopefully you can find your data and link it here so we can see what you did. That must have been very exciting to participate in.^^

Here are 2 of my textures I used to make about 5 years ago for the PC game IL-2 Sturmovik. Still haven't found most textures I made though, so I'll post more whenever I find them.

I've also added a little pic with the texture file open in Photoshop, instead of putting my name next to it, since a name wouldn't prove much in this case.

This first picture is a realistic texture I made for a P-40 aircraft. With realistic I actually mean historically accurate. It's based on real camouflage found on real aircraft during WW2. It also means a lot of research before you can begin, if you want to do it right. :p

It's a P-40 in olive drab camouflage like you would see during the early days of the war, although this P-40 is actually a P-40E version. And this kind of camouflage is normally something you would see on earlier versions of P-40's. (Ok, I'll shut up :p before the aircraft freak in me comes back and gives a huge lecture on aircraft ^^)

This one is completely fictional. It's a Gladiator Mk. I.

I just tried making a texture that would resemble an aircraft wreck that crashed in the water and stayed there. It doesn't look very nice in flight :D but it was just meant to serve in a edited screenshot where a scuba diver would find an aircraft wreck.

I made several textures like this. I usually either made night camouflage textures or fictional textures that I would use for my personal aircraft to distinguish myself and be known for my enemies online :p (Like the Red Baron).

EDIT: Found one of my personal aircraft textures that I would use when flying online :) This is a fictional Ki-84 aircaft texture.

It's an unfinished texture though, I remember having one just like this, with Japanese kanji inside the rising sun saying "Never Give Up" (the motto from a Japanese WW II ace (Saburo Sakai)) and it had victory markings on the tail for every plane I shot down, but can't find it atm.
