We've remixed the ignition, now let's see what's hot and fresh out the kitchen!

The voting period will end 11:59:59 pm Monday 28th September New Zealand time (countdown timer)

Important!

Instead of the usual one, you have two votes for this month. One vote is worth three points and the other vote is worth one. You cannot cast both votes for the same entry. You do not have to use both votes. (The entry with the most points wins, obviously.)

Preferably, please cast your vote like this:

3 points: #69

1 point: #420

Did Kinjall actually keep his promise o.0?
I don't remember making any promises... But I guess you'll have to wait for the results to find out!

At the risk of sounding bitter... some of these have clearly used some things that my entry was disallowed for :\ Not to the same extent, but still...
I haven't seen your entry, but I agree. There are a bunch of straight lines and perfect circles that look really suspicious in some of these (not to mention the use of typos)... :o

Anyway, here are my votes:

3 points to #8, great idea and it looks stunning

1 point to #1, for the lulz

#3, #5, #6 and #7 are also well done, but they don't look completely free-hand to me (I apologize if they are)...

My bad, poor word choice :p.

After looking at the entries more clearly, I have to agree. You can easily tell some of the entries used computer made shapes rather than hand-draw them. The most frequent pre-made shape being used is circle. For example, if you look at the circle in the James Bond entry, it's shaped to perfectly at the bottom half. Another example would be the butterfly entry. If you look at the sun in top left corner, you can easily tell it's a computerized circle, rather than a hand-drawn one.

Although they're perfect circles, it doesn't necessarily mean that the creators used any shape tools in creating them. A simple circular brush/pencil click can be used to create a circle and it would still be considered hand drawn. You also have to remember that the use of software other than MS Paint is allowed, as long as only free-hand tools are used. The default circular brushes/pencil in software like Photoshop and GIMP can obviously produce a much cleaner result than the brushes/pencil in Paint, making it appear as though it was created via a shape tool when it fact it wasn't.

Basically all I'm saying is that if something looks like it was created via a shape tool, it doesn't mean that it was.

I looked at all the entries when they were submitted and if I had any problems with them I asked/raised it with the participants.

All the entries here looked to me to be hand-drawn and if I was unsure I took the participants' word for it when they confirmed that they were indeed hand-drawn.

If you're allowed to use shape tools then doesnt that defeat the purpose of this month's theme....

Unless you can prove without a doubt that shape tools were used, rather than taking into consideration that entrants had weeks to polish their submissions, then proz has the last word with what was submitted.

Let your votes reflect your opinions on the submissions. All your comments could be dissuading votes from people who were actually honest and took their time. The bottom line is, you are just assuming. You wouldn't like it if someone was fanning flames on something you submitted, so don't do it to others.
