Summary

Ugly Americans: Apocalyspegeddon is a brand new story woven into the Ugly Americans series. The game has players choosing one of four characters from the show (Mark Lilly, Callie Maggotbone, Leonard Powers, or Frank Grimes) and investigating case files from the D.O.I. as to find out who is trying to bring about the end of days. The game itself is an isometric shooter with a very arcade game feel to it, and features 4 player offline and online co-op.

Roadmap

Step 1: Complete the game in co-op

Due to the fact that there is one difficulty, and that difficulty increases with every extra character, don't worry about not using your special attack. If you and your partner(s) die, then you have to play the level from the beginning again so using your special attack can be a life saver. After completing the game in online co-op you will get Embrace Diversity, See You In Hell, and possibly Repeat, Repeat, Repeat as well as credit towards or earning Wakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bakey!

If you need a co-op partner, please check the

boosting thread.

Step 2: Going through each case for clean up

During your co-op playthrough you very well may have gotten more trophies then what was listed in step 1. This step is your clean up step in which you will focus on collecting all the projectiles, collecting the demon babies, getting the kill trophies, not using your special attack (since you will be quite leveled up and the difficulty will be reduced since it's single player) and everything else. The trophies you will earn in this playthrough are We Don't Need No Magic!, Demons The Bane Of My Existence, It's The Collector!, My New Favorite Number, Keep These Bad Boys Comin', Put your cheeks into it!, Dirty Leg Draggers..., and No Loitering!

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/01.jpgEmbrace Diversity(S)

Complete the game in an online multiplayer session.

Whether you're playing with a random or you found a boosting partner, simply play and beat all 11 case files with another person online to get this trophy. You do not have to play and beat them in order, or at the same time, but it is recommended to do so. If you need a co-op partner, please check the

boosting thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/02.jpgSee You In Hell(S)

Complete the game using any character.

Simply pick your favorite character from the show, or the character you feel that has the best stats, and beat all 11 case files with that character. It is definitely recommended to continue using the same character for your clean up trophies as it will make things a lot easier with a powered up character.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/03.jpgWe Don't Need No Magic!(G)

Complete all levels without using special attacks.

To use a special attack you have to press

:r2: so accidently pressing the button will not be a problem. It is possible that you could get this trophy online, especially if you're playing with another person that has a powered up character and uses their special attack often, but to be on the safe side I would use your special attack online and go through each case file again on your clean up playthrough without using your special attack. Also, if you didn't use a special attack in a certain level online, you don't have to replay that level for this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/04.jpgDemons, The Bane Of My Existence(S)

Locate and collect all of the Demon Babies.

The first time you can find a Demon Baby is in case file 5, where the description of the case file actually says you have to find a Demon Baby. Once you have found the first Demon Baby in case file 5, your character will wear it on their back and it will give you a permanent increase in some way. You can only wear one Demon Baby at a time, though. Altogether there are 4 Demon Babies, and you will see what case file has a Demon Baby in it because there will be a blue circle around that case file with a picture of a Demon Baby. The four you need to collect are: Phoebe (Pride), Thorpal (Envy), Dante (Wrath), and Gustav (Gluttony). To change which Demon Baby you have, visit the orphanage before starting a case file. *Note* it is easier to collect the remaining Demon Babies after case file 5 and before case file 6 for two reasons, you have to back-track through less case files and you get to try out each Demon Baby in a level that you're already familiar with.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/05.jpgIt's The Collector!(S)

Collect all the projectiles.

Altogether there are 30 projectiles that need to be collected. A projectile is what kind of ammo your B.S.U. gun (or wand for Leonard) shoots at enemies. They appear in random locations within each level, so I will be putting which ones are available in each level in a spoiler below. Also for clarity's sake, there are four projectiles that have to be collected from hidden case files located in each case file (case file 4, 8, and 11 don't have hidden case files). To change your projectile, visit the D.O.I. before starting a case file.

[spoiler=COLLECTOR]Case file 1: hammer, snow globe, baseball, and paint can

Case file 2: propane tank, boomerang, and crystal ball

Case file 3: dumbbell, golf ball, and model rocket

Case file 6: bowling ball, chicken, kerosene lamp, and knife

Case file 7: spell book, letter opener, demon teeth, and wrench

Case file 9: harpoon, desk lamp, hair spray, and mating bone

Case file 10: fire extinguisher, magic 8 ball, salt shaker, and gas can

Hidden case files: zombie arms, liquor bottle, demon head, and wedding cake

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/06.jpgMy New Favorite Number(B)

Defeat 50 enemies in a row without getting hit.

This is quite easily obtained in single player on case file 1. Since this is the first level, the enemies (Manbirds) are not that hard to kill. Once you reach the two Manbirds wearing wrestling masks you should have gotten the trophy if you weren't hit. A simple but effective strategy (for the rest of the game as well) is to kill the Manbirds that are pooping first; if you step in it it will slow your character down drastically and make it a lot easier for them to attack you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/07.jpgRepeat, Repeat, Repeat(B)

Use any special attack 100 times.

To use a special attack your special attack meter has to be full and you have to press :r2:. Each character's special attack differs and they are really helpful if you start getting overwhelmed or if you need a few seconds to resuscitate a teammate. If you were to use 25 special attacks with each character you would get this trophy, but it is recommended to do 100 special attacks on the character you chose in the beginning.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/08.jpgWakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bakey!(B)

Resuscitate 50 allies.

You very well may get this trophy in online co-op depending on how bad your teammate is or if you are both boosting. If you do not get this trophy in online co-op, the perfect spot is case file 1. Simply have the player that will die (2nd controller or real player) walk ahead of you. When the Manbirds attack him let them kill him, then kill enough of the Manbirds to get over to your teammate and resuscitate him without letting yourself get killed. Repeat this over and over in case file 1 and you can get 10 resuscitations in less than 5 minutes.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/09.jpgKeep Those Bad Boys Comin'(B)

Rack up a 20 score multiplier.

When you kill an enemy your score multiplier, a jar at the bottom left corner with a number in it, increases. When you get hit, the multiplier drops by 1 by every time you get hurt. Simply kill enough enemies to get it up to 20 and the trophy will unlock; this trophy unlocked for me in case file 3.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/10.jpgPut your cheeks into it!(B)

Kill 1000 Manbirds.

Manbirds are exactly what the name suggests: half-man-half-birds that go around shouting profanities at you. If you did not get this trophy in online co-op then case file 1 is the perfect farming spot. The level is full of nothing but Manbirds and because it's the first level of the game the enemies are all very weak.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/11.jpgDirty Leg Draggers...(B)

Kill 300 Zombies.

You should get this on your first co-op playthrough of the game. If for whatever reason you didn't, then case file 2 is the perfect farming spot. The level is full of nothing but zombies, and because it's an early level the enemies are also very easy to kill.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1161/12.jpgNo Loitering!(B)

Kill 5000 Demons.

This is the most time consuming trophy for this game, in my two entire playthroughs of the game I did not earn this trophy. Case file 3 is the perfect farming spot for this trophy. The level is full of nothing but demons and for the most part they are all very easy to kill. There is unfortunately no way of checking how many Demons you have killed so just keep at it until the trophy unlocks.

Credit goes to TimDogg420 for giving me a tip on the projectiles and being my co-op partner in my online co-op playthrough.

Do the hidden case files just show up at random? I played through all the cases destroying everything but only found about four hidden case files. The reason I ask is I played case 10 again and the first thing I destroyed had the case in it.

I'm not sure if it differed for others, but all of the hidden case files showed up randomly for me. I had to play through level 1 a handful of times before the case file finally showed up.
