ROAD MAP

Overview:

+ Estimated Trophy Difficulty: ?/10 (My guess is about 5/6)

+ Trophy Breakdown: 9(B)-3(S)-1(G)

+ Approximate Time To 100%: I'm thinking 5-10 hours

+ Minimum Number Of Playthroughs Needed: 1 (Then replaying levels)

+ Missable Trophies: None.

Step 1 - Play through the game:

First you should just play through the game. Concentrate on unlocking all of the zones. You can go for step 3 at the same time as this one, but honestly I think that is best left until you have all the levels unlocked, as some of those bonus levels can be pretty frustrating. If you do find yourself getting stuck I would move on and come back to it later. In this step there are some simple trophies that should pop as you play. "Getting Taller", "Having a Giraffe" & "Gold Dust". These trophies should come naturally not long after you start the game.

Step 2 - Get Miscellaneous Trophies:

This step covers 2 of the trophies and although it's step 2, it can really be done at any time. "Lightning Fast" should be done in the "Towering Above the Rest" level in Zone 4. "Out of the Park" can be done in "An Englishman's Home" in Zone 8. See the guide for more info on these trophies and videos for both.

Step 3 - Get a medal in every level + 50 Golds:

For this step you will be going for the "All the Glitters" Trophies for getting 50 gold medals. 2 of these gold medals should be on "An Englishman's Home" in Zone 8 & "The Centrifuge" in Zone 12. Meeting the gold medal requirements on those 2 levels will get you the "Master Blaster" & "Tucked in Tight" trophies. See the guide for videos of those 2 levels. The levels get progressively harder so start from the beginning and work your way through. Try to get gold medals on all the levels that have one. Once you have 50 you should go back through all the zones and complete any levels you haven't yet got a medal on. Doing so will get you "Construction Complete".

Step 4 - Multiplayer:

This step can be done at any time. The two multiplayer trophies are "Victory is Yours" & "Working Together". Check the guide and then go grab them both.

Step 5 - Reach for the stars!:

This should be your last trophy for 100%. You will have probably got the "Giant Red Wood" trophy when finishing off all the other steps. Now you just have to grind your way to 500m of build height to get the "Reach for the Stars" trophy and 100%.

TROPHY GUIDE

Build a 2m tower within 35 seconds

A good place to do this is in level 2 of Zone 4 "Towering Above the Rest". It's a simple build high challenge and the gold medal height is 230cm. You need to get to 200 in 35 seconds so you'll have to be pretty quick with those blocks. If you get given some bad blocks at the beginning just restart as the type given out are different every time. You have to grab and place the block without hesitating and then go for the next one. Don't spend a few seconds getting the placing perfect. If it falls just restart. When you hit bronze and silver medal heights the game counts down from 3 the medal pops up on screen. This process takes maybe 5 seconds. During this time you can't do anything but it doesn't count towards the 35 seconds needed for this trophy.

Build a 1m tower

This will come easy on the 1st level after the tutorial "My First Tower". The Gold medal height is 1m and getting it isn't at all difficult.

Earn 5 Gold Medals

See "All The Glitters".

Earn at least one medal on every level

There are a total of 69 levels in 13 zones in this game. Most levels have 3-5 medals but bonus levels only have 1. For this trophy you need to get at least 1 medal in all 69 levels. This for me is the hardest trophy in the game as some of the bonus level can be pretty tricky. If you do get stuck on any level FrankNStein on YouTube has done a video run of every level in the game. Find his YouTube playlist Here.

Fit 25 blocks on a platform in a Use Em All Challenge

I did this one on the level "The Centrifuge" in Zone 12. The gold medal requirement is 25. If a block falls of after you have achieved bronze you fail but before then it doesn't matter. You can still place blocks off your structure onto the ground though so use this to your advantage. The next set of blocks wont appear in the circles until all current blocks are on the platform though. So you move things around especially near the start, put all you blocks on the ground and try to get a good base. Also if you don't like the first few groups of blocks you are given you can restart as the block you are given are random. The long wooden planks for example are very useful. I made a video of this level.

Play a Multiplayer Tournament

This can be done easily on your own with 1 move controller. Go to multiplayer from the menu and just play through the first short tournament playing as both players. When you are done the trophy will pop.

Build a 2m tower in Multiplayer Mode

This can be done on your own with 1 move controller. Go to multiplayer start up a quick match and just build a 2m tower. It shouldn't be too difficult since you are controlling both players and 2m isn't that high.

Earn 50 Gold Medals

For this trophy you need to get 50 gold medals. There are a total of 69 levels in 13 zones in this game. Not all levels have Gold medals though. There are 58 level in the game that have gold medals. So you can miss out 8 of them and still get this trophy. The levels generally get harder as you progress so start from zone 1 and work your way through the game trying to get every all the gold medals you can in the levels that have one. If you are struggling with any level, FrankNStein on YouTube has made a video run of every level and gets the gold medal in the levels that have one. It wont help in all the levels but definitely will in some so if your stuck check it out Here.

Score 3000 points on a Limpet Mine challenge

I got this in Zone 8 on the level "An Englishman's Home" where the gold medal requirement is 3000. I placed 2 mines on the inside and middle of the 2 white foam walls and another was just placed on one of the x4 blocks near the top (which probably wasn't the best place for it). See Video:

Blow a brick out of the arena in a Limpet Mine Challenge

I got this in Zone 8 on the level "An Englishman's Home". The level is a castle of blocks surrounded by explosive barrels. To get this you should try and place your mines on the top and inside of one of the white foam walls, In an attempt to blow one of these blocks into and explosive barrel and send it flying out the arena. This may take a few tries. See Video.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/744/10.jpg(G)Reach for the Stars

Total Build Height of 500m

For this you will have to play a lot. I got the 100m trophy not long before finishing off everything else. So this may be a bit of a grind. Obviously stick to build high challenges as they will give you the most height. "Towering Above the Rest" in Zone 4 might be quite good to grind since It's a very quick and simple build high challenge. If you get gold medal every time It's 230cm and It can take under a minute to complete. "Stepping Stones" in Zone 12 is also quite good. Another less boring option would be to go back to the start and just play the game while trying to get the rest of the medals that aren't required for trophies. A lot of the build high challenges for example have timed and target medals that you could go for.

Here are a few Tumble images I've loaded to the database. :)

Thanks for posting those. Makes it easier for me :).

I made two headers, if you want to use one of it, tell me what. If you don't want to use my header, send me a VM.

Thanks for the effort. Not sure If I will use them though. I want to try and make my own header for this one. After I've finished the guide though.

Does anyone know what a home run medal is? It's on the destructable level and I can't seem to figure it out..thanks :)

It's to do with the block that has a baseball on it. It's usually at the top of the structure. To get the medal you have to blow that block past the dotted line.

Okay, I finally reached a total building height of 500 metres. I'll pass on some advice I myself wished I'd known about earlier and followed before I began playing the game.

Do not press restart during gameplay if you're about to fail a level. Instead let the game take you to the "status" screen. Here it will save your progress and add the sum to your total building height.

When I started on the game I wanted every medal in every challenge and replayed some levels over and over again. However because of slow progress I started settling on gold medals only during Zone 5 and focused on beating the game.

After Zone 13 I ended up with all available gold medals and had a total of 182 various medals. When I began my grind for the "Reach for the Stars" trophy, every time the game registered the height and saved my progress, I wrote down what I'd accomplished. From all the time I had put in this game from the start, it turns out I'd only reached 118 metres when beating the final level.

For those of you wondering how long it took, my notes tell me I needed to play Zone 4.2 about 170 times (with an average height roughly at 2,25 metres per try).

Happy hunting!

Man, "Making a Point" was one of the most difficult levels.

And I have to say that the youtube video was helpful to some extent.

Let me share my experience in this level, based on the youtube video.

In summary, you have to put all the three blue pieces on top of each other for 3 seconds before the gold medal pops up.

The second piece will ALWAYS slide from the top, no matter what. What you must do is minimize the bumping that happens when you release the piece, and try to put it as far as possible from the edge (if you are lucky, it may even stop, but do not count on it). This will make the piece to slide very slowly and buy you time to put the third piece on top of the second.

If you pay attention, the "third" piece placed in front of the first (at 0:34) does not provide any support at all! It is only there to allow the player to quickly put it in place before the second piece falls. Do not forget that the guy that made the video must have failed sooooo many times before!

It indeed requires some practice. In fact I failed in so many times that I was looking for a way to solve the puzzle using the pyramid. But since I got the gold by the same method of the video, I stopped trying.

And to be honest, I do not plan to play this level ever again!

Hope it helps.

Fernando

I know it's and old post, but someone might find this helpful. After placing the first blue block, put the orange piramid thing undeneath it.It helps make the first blue block stable, and the second blue block don't slide that much from first. Then follow the video. It just needs practice and speed.
