This thread is to be used by members searching for a team or a team looking to fill out its roster. When looking for a teammate, simply state your PST username, your PSN ID, and any comments that you think would help you or others make an informed decision about a prospective teammate. The same goes for teams looking for members, but please include all team member's information in the post. Once you have found a team or enough members to initiate a team, please post to let us know so we can remove you from the list. As we get closer to the start date, if you still do not have a teammate, PM one of the Event Directors and we will assist you in finding a team. If there are still soloists/teams on the list by the 28th, we will combine remaining people with other members to form a team, although we cannot promise everybody will gain a place. The time of each post will be used to arrange teams in this scenario.

THL Rules Regulations Etc

General Rules:

  • You must have 250 posts and have been a member for at least three months.
  • Please do not spam to 250 posts. If it gets to the point where the Moderators have to delete posts or hand infractions out, you leave yourself open to relinquishing any sign up chances for this competition. As such, you would have to wait until the subsequent THL. Reaching 250 legitimate posts to enter is fine, however.
  • Each team shall have 6 members.
  • Each team shall designate a team captain. Only the team captain can contact an Event director with problems or concerns.
  • Event Directors should be notified first of any concerns or questions regarding THL. Sending messages to non-Event Directors will be ignored. In the event that you have an issue with an Event Director you’re free to message a Super or Olsen.
  • Any member caught cheating will be removed from the competition (and all subsequent THLs) and their points deducted from the team total. The team will have to go on short-handed. They can add a new member after the next session. Cheating includes but is not limited to: Buzz! trophy glitch, SOCOM/Fuel hacks, Someone else playing on your account etc.
  • Organized game trading and account sharing is considered cheating and absolutely not permitted. While we cannot enforce rules or behaviors off-site we can regulate whether you can enter competitions on PST that would be affected by these types of activities. There is no way of knowing who is using whose account or whether trophies are being earned properly by the individual associated with said account. Furthermore digital game trading and more importantly account sharing is against Sony's TOS and against PST's TOS. The Event Directors want to run a clean and fair competition and these activities aren't going to be tolerated. Any teams or members found to be game trading or account sharing will be immediately removed from the competition and all future competitions.
  • No complaining, whining, or flaming other members. This is a friendly competition.
  • There will be point penalties for any complaining, whining or flaming. The deduction will be 100 points per incident. No questions asked and no warnings. This is a no bullshit competition.
  • In the event that there is an issue, concern etc then that correspondence MUST BE sent via PM only, to an Event Director. Remember only the Team Captains are to contact the Event Directors. There should be ZERO complaining, arguing, flaming or accusations posted in the forums. If this happens your team will receive a 100 point deduction per incident.
  • No soloists. You must be on a team to compete.
  • New PSN accounts are not allowed to be created for use in the THL. Additionally, you cannot switch between multiple accounts for use in subsequent THL seasons. The only exception to this rule is for those who wish to create a new account to begin anew on their next gen system. As such, only PS4 trophies earned on these accounts will count towards the THL scores. Additionally, if you opt to use a new account for THL, that will be your account for any future THL seasons and you will be unable to switch back to your previous account. This is to ensure that competitors cannot create a new account and replay the same games each THL season. Any specific account questions should be sent directly to the EDs.
  • No substitutions will be allowed within a session. Once a team is formed, no member can be replaced. If a member decides to drop out, the team will have to stick with the remaining five. A new team member can be added during the break between sessions.

THL Regular Season Rules

  • THL will be on going competition that runs for 3 months with a playoff portion. There will be a period between seasons where teams can rejoin, change etc.
  • Each session shall run for two straight months (excluding playoffs). Season 6 will start on March 1st (at 4:00pm BST/8:00am PST) and run through to May 1st (at 4:00pm BST/8:00am PST). Only trophies earned within this time frame will count. After each session a two week playoff period starts (see below)
  • Each trophy will count for 1 point regardless of what it is. Bronze, silver, gold and platinum all have equal weight and count for 1 point. Trophies can be earned on PS3, PS Vita, or PS4 and trophies earned on any platform will count the same as every other trophy; 1 point.
  • Cross-platform games that auto pop duplicate trophies on the PS3/Vita will not count twice towards your point total. For example - platting Motorstorm RC on Vita and then loading it onto your PS3 will cause the trophies to automatically pop, giving you double the trophies for playing the game once. In this case, those trophies will only count as 1 point each and the additional list will be ignored (see the next point for more information).
  • Any autopops between game systems must be reported to an ED when you do it. Failure to notify an ED will result in a 100 point deduction for your team.
  • With the Vita's 2.60 update, it allows a user to hide trophy lists. These as a result become hidden on trophy tracking websites. You must not hide any trophies from your profile. This goes for both before signing up to THL, and also whilst participating. Anybody with hidden trophies prior to signing up will have their sign-up rejected, and anybody that attempts to hide trophies at any stage during the competition could be liable to being removed from the competition if the Event Directors deem it necessary. We cannot see what is hidden, so hidden trophies will likely be assumed as hacked or immorally earned. Exceptions can be considered for certain circumstances, but please, sign up with 0 hidden games with your team initially and then speak to us about the possibility of hiding certain games before you do so. If we find hidden trophies that haven't been discussed with us prior to the start of the season, your position within the competition could be at risk.
  • Upon signing up for the session, the team captain will sign up their team and provide trophy cards for each member. The trophy cards used will be from PSNProfiles.
  • The log feature on PSNP will be used to determine the first trophy post the designated start date/time.
  • You MUST sync regularly. Once weekly is the minimum. If a member of a team is caught not syncing regularly, than they will receive a strike for a first time occurance during a season. If they are caught doing it twice in a season, then they will receive a second strike & a 100 point deduction of the team will occur. If the member does it 3 times in a competition, than they will be removed from their team and banned from future THL events. Strikes will not drop off after the end of a season, but the penalties for the next season will reset to the beginning (IE 1st offense is another strike, 2nd is a strike + 100 point deduction, etc). If a player reaches 5 strikes over the course all THL events, they will be removed from their current team and banned from future THL events.
  • Trophies that are not synced before the end of the competition/deadline will not be counted. We cannot wait for people in order to update the leaderboard, whatever the circumstances are. Please ensure you sync before the deadline. The later you leave it, the more likely your trophies will be missed, so please do not take any chances.
  • Please do not update anybody's PSNP card unless authorised to do so by that person. Whilst the intent may be harmless, it can prevent users from syncing any trophies they need to update. If they are unable to do so and have to wait another hour, which is often after the deadline, scores will be unfairly affected. You are welcome to use other tracking sites to keep an eye on opposition, but please do not do this on PSNProfiles near deadlines.
  • In the event of a tie, we will go off of the team's combined platinum count as the tie breaker. If a tie remains at that point, then we go by gold, silver, bronze trophy counts until a winner can be determined.
  • During the current season, the Event Directors will not be taking any questions/inquiries/suggestions etc about the next session. Those questions/concerns etc will be addressed after the season.

Playoff Rules

  • The top four teams will compete at the end of the two-month period in a playoff round. The first week will be comprised of Team 1 and 4 competing and Team 2 and 3 competing. These point counts will be separate from the regular season.
  • The two winning teams of the first playoff week will compete the next week in a finals round. The winner will be deemed the winner of the sixth season.
  • In the event of a tie during the playoffs – most platinums will determine the tie breaker.
  • During the playoff session Event Directors will not be taking any questions/inquiries/suggestions etc about the next session. Those questions/concerns etc will be addressed during the down time between seasons.

Commonly Asked Questions

A: No, members must be part of a team of 6.

Q: When does THL transpire?

A: It starts on March 1st at 8 AM Pacific Time. It will finish on May 1st at 8 AM Pacific Time.

Q: How much is each trophy worth?

A: All trophies = 1 Point

Q: My teammate has decided to not participate anymore, can I find someone to replace him?

A: No. Once the competition starts, if someone drops out you will have to carry on with five members on your team. Substitutions are not allowed throughout the two month period.

Q: Will there be any prizes/awards?

Yes. The following awards will be given out:

  • THL Winners – Team that wins the overall competition (design decided by winners)

Q: Is there anything I need to do on the first day?

A: Yes. First, make sure to sync at least 15 minutes prior to this starting and make sure to update your PSNP card. Then, once you have unlocked your first trophy, please sync it and update your trophy card/profile. It is extremely important that you do this because it allows us to see where we should start counting from.

On the last day of the competition, you will have to sync your trophies after the stop time (May 1st at 8 AM Pacific Time). The Event Directors will tally up the final counts and post them. You are free to continue earning trophies, this will bare no significance on the tallies, however any trophies after the deadline will not contribute to your total.

Q: How often will the leaderboard be updated?

A: The leaderboard will be updated weekly.

  • 1 month later...

Im looking to join a team. Casual is preferred, as Im looking to clear my backlog and try out some new stuff, meet some new gamers. I play a great deal, and I'll most likely be getting my second Vita mid-March. I have all the chats, skype, headset, etc. Always enjoyed team gaming/clans, but never had enough posts to be in a THL until now. Im in the US, EST, if that matters.
