Introduction

WARNING: The Movie Pack has been delisted from the EU store and is no longer available but it should still be in the other stores, though do note that the DLC is region locked so you'll need an copy of the game from the same store as the DLC before you can use it.

Trivial Pursuit, the PS3 adaptation of the classic board game, is largely considered to be one of the easiest platinum trophies one can obtain. Its trophy set is entirely offline and can be completed in a day. With the ability to pause the game at any time using the :ps: button, and a comprehensive answer guide to the game's free Movie Pack DLC (courtesy of SirkSirk), trophy hunters should have little-to-no difficulty in unlocking the platinum trophy.

Walkthrough

General Gameplay Tips

Pressing the :ps: button during play pauses the game, giving you ample time to look up the answers to the questions you're given. I highly recommend downloading the Trivial Pursuit Movie Pack, which is available free from Playstation Store, and consulting SirkSirk's Movie Pack Questions & Answers thread.

Note that the multiplayer modes (Classic and Facts & Friends) can be played with a single controller. All trophies must be unlocked by Player 1.

Step 1: Classic

For your first 10 turns, land on regular spaces (not Wedge HQs) and answer your questions incorrectly, or, to play it safe, just let the timer run out, unlocking the "You don't know everything", "Maybe you don't know anything?" and "Come on! You're not even trying!" trophies. Now head for the Wedge HQs and answer every question correctly on the first attempt. When landing on a Roll Again space and rolling the dice, move to another Roll Again space if possible, unlocking the "Keep on Rolling" trophy in the process. After winning all wedges, move to the center space and correctly answer the question to win the game.

Step 2: Clear the Board

Step 2a: CTB Playthrough 1

In this playthrough, you'll need to work quickly, aiming to finish the game in under 10 minutes to unlock the "You Were A Blur" trophy. Head straight for the Wedge HQ spaces and answer their questions correctly; when landing on a regular space answer IN-correctly, as clearing the board in this manner will unlock the "Straight To The Point" trophy.

Step 2b: CTB Playthrough 2

In this playthrough, you must avoid landing on any Wedge HQ's until you have a 10x multiplier in its applicable category. This means that you must answer every question correctly, and clear all other regular spaces. If you find yourself forced into a Wedge HQ, quit the game using the :ps: button and restart from your last auto-save. After clearing all regular spaces, you should have 6 Wedge HQs at 10x multipliers. Answer their questions correctly on the first attempt, and answer the Final Question correctly on the first attempt.

Step 3: Facts & Friends

Step 3a: F&F Playthrough 1:

Start a 4-player Facts & Friends game with one controller.

In Facts & Friends mode, each wedge is broken up into 4 parts -- a successful bet gives you 1 point, and answering a question correctly in a regular space gives you 2 points.

In this playthrough, avoid Wedge HQs and only win wedges by betting that your opponent won't know the answer to a question, and deliberately answering the question wrong for them. Have the other two opponents bet that the opponent answering the question will know the answer to ensure that they don't win.

With careful planning, you can answer a question in each category without earning a wedge (i.e. if you answer correctly while having less than 2 points in a category), while still winning all wedges by betting. This will unlock the "Flawless..." trophies in addition to the "Bet Your Bottom Dollar" trophy.

For the final question, answer correctly and have your opponents answer incorrectly to win the end game phase without losing any lives.

Step 3b: F&F Playthrough 2:

Start a 2-player Facts & Friends game with one controller.

Land on a Wedge HQ with Player 1 and answer the question correctly to unlock the "Wedge HQ Winner" trophy. Now win a wedge with Player 2. After both players have a Wedge, have Player 1 initiate a Wedge Off by landing on one of the Bonus Event spaces (which will unlock the "Risky Business" trophy) until you get the Wedge Off icon, designated by an orange Wedge with a target on it. This initiates a series of True or False questions. Answer the questions correctly with Player 1 to unlock the "Wedge Off Winner" trophy.

If circumstances in your first F&F playthrough caused you to miss any of the "Flawless..." trophies, now would be a good time to unlock them.

Win all six wedges with either player (winning them with Player 2 will make it easier) to initiate the end game phase. Have Player 1 lose the end game phase to unlock the "Better luck next time" trophy and, if your playthroughs went well, the "Platinum Trophy" as well.

Wedges are earned by correctly answering the question given after landing on a Wedge HQ, the large spaces found at the intersections of the outer ring of spaces and the 'spokes' leading to the game board's 'hub'. jq, I just started F&F. What do I do when it's my turn? Get the answer wrong or right? How do I bet for my opponents?

[EDIT1] Ah, I figured it out. Nevermind.

[EDIT2]jq, just wanted to let you know that this "until you get the Wedge Off icon, designated by an orange Wedge with a target on it. This initiates a series of True or False questions. Answer the questions correctly with Player 1 to unlock the "Wedge Off Winner" trophy." should read "until Player 1 gets the Wedge Off icon, designated..."

If you get the Wedge Off icon with Player 2 it won't unlock. :( This applies to pretty much the entire game.

on the clear the board playthrough 2 I was forced into an HQ spot and I did as it says and quit viq ps button well I went to load the save again and all the games wedges were back again?? I was really close to being done too. so either you cant do that for clear the board anymore or the guide was wrong to begin with?

not sure if this has been mentioned or not, and simply to lazy to read through the other posts to find out :p

but, in the roadmap that is currently listed, you need to swap the two "clear the board" strategies.. you have people going for the "you were a blur trophy," then playing another round to get 10x multipliers..

here is why they need to be swapped, one of the objectives that you need for the "objective master" trophy is to beat a previous time in ctb.. however, with going for the blur trophy first, you set a time of 5 minutes, which cannot be beat when going for the 10x multipliers. so, swapping them will have you go for the 10x multipliers trophy, setting a game time of around 25+ minutes.. then your second playthrough will be for the blur trophy, also giving you the beat a previous time objective

(hope all that makes sense)

i ran into the issue as well, however it was because i clicked on the ctb game mode in the top left, instead of the continue button on bottom left..

the continue button is what you need to click on to load your last autosave
