Lil_Mermaid_Girl
Road Map: Overview: Estimated trophy difficulty: 7.63/10 Offline: 18 9 3 Online: None Secret: 0(B) 4 1 Total: 18 13 4 1 (36 Total) Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 15-30 hours Minimum number of playthroughs needed: One Number of missable trophies: None, since you can go back to any level at any time Glitched trophies: None Do cheat codes disable trophies?: None known Introduction: Tornado Outbreak is completely offline, the two co-op trophies are local offline co-op. No trophies are missable as you can always go back at any time and replay a previously completed level. Two controllers are needed for platinum. Step 1: Single Player You can get most of the trophies done playing through the game's story mode without replaying any levels. 9 trophies are story related, and in addition all of the secret trophies are about beating levels and beating the game. Step 2: Replaying Levels You will have to replay a majority of the levels so you can get all the stone warriors and water sprites that you weren't able to get previously since you hadn't had the ability unlocked (these two abilities unlock throughout story mode). You will also probably need to replay a lot of the levels for the high scores, all fire flyers, stone warriors and water sprites that are all needed for the "Waldo's Daddy" (Unlock all bonus materials) trophy. Step 3: Offline Co-op There are only two co-op trophies. Anytime during your main playthrough or at any time during trophy cleanup you can turn on a second controller and play by yourself or with another actual person in your house for the "Played Nice" and "Friends Till An End" trophies. Step 4: Trophy Cleanup Now it's time to go back and get any of the remaining trophies that aren't story related that you might of missed during your main playthrough. The hardest one will be "Sprite Slaughter House" (Absorbed 100 Fire Flyers at once). The rest aren't really difficult and shouldn't pose a problem to you besides going through each level again but you can also get any while you are working towards the "Waldo's Daddy" trophy. Trophy Guide: http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/36.jpg 100% Complete This trophy is automatically unlocked once all other trophies have been unlocked. Unlocks after you get all the other Tornado Outbreak trophies. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/01.jpgGreen Eggs And… Completed Chicken Con Carnage Story related. Unlocks after you beat the first totem in the game that is at the end of Chicken level. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/02.jpgTaking Out The Trash Completed Double Wide Damage Story related. Unlocks after you beat all three totems in Zone 2 of Double Wide Destruction. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/03.jpgTanks For The Cleanup Completed Military Mayhem Story related. Unlocks after completing beating the three totems in Zone 3 of Military Mayhem. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/04.jpgWinner Winner Chicken Dinner Completed High Roller Blowout story related. Unlocks after you beat the three totems in Zone 3 of High Roller Blowout level. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/05.jpgCoaster Toaster Completed Carnival Chaos Story related. Unlocks after defeating all the totems in Chaos Carnival. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/06.jpgJust-In-Time Tea-Time Completed Ringling Village Story related. Unlocks after beating all the totems in Ringling Village. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/07.jpgChivalry is Dead Completed Camelot Falls Story related. Unlocks after beating all the totems in Camelot Falls. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/08.jpgTsunami Envy Completed Coastal Calamity Story related. Unlocks after beating all the totems in Coastal Calamity. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/13.jpgAdequate Storm Completed a Vortex Race with a bronze medal. These trophies don't stack and you will need to miss seven gates and create the vortex to get the trophy. You can replay a level to get these trophies but you will have to replay all the zones in the level to get to the vortex race. Also you may want to go for the harder ones first as the races get more difficult towards the end. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/16.jpgMix Masta Stomp Performed a Stone Stomp that destroys 10 objects You get the stomp at the start of Chaos Carnival when a stone warrior gives you the ability. Just press X in any area where there is alot of items that can be destroyed. You don't really need to even try for this as you will likely be stomping around all the time now that you have this ability and will get it just randomly stomping. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/18.jpgApt Pupil Absorbed all 50 Fire Flyers within the last zone of the campground This is the last section of the tutorial. It may take a few tries, but you're better off going for it right away because if you leave the level you will have to completely replay the whole tutorial to get back to this spot. Also, if you aren't going to be able to get all 50 let time run out, do not go to the load star or you will have to replay the whole tutorial level. Practice makes perfect and once you get a general route down it shouldn't be hard. Just make sure you get every tent or other fire flyer hideout on a basically straight path. Remember, for each fire flyer you absorb you get a small speed boost so use that to your advantage. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/19.jpgPassive Aggressive Absorbed 15 Fire Flyers at once without grabbing A possible place to do this is the Zone 3 of Double Wide Damage, although any area that has alot of stuff you can avoid and yet still grow without getting many fire flyers may be a good area. Get as big as you can without absorbing many. If you have the dash ability (the water sprite will give you this later in the story) it may be easier since you can dash away when you do knock down a building that was holding fire flyers and can get away from them without picking them up. Also, do not use the hold button (R1) while trying to get this, you need to get 15 at once without holding. Try to get a large area remaining where there are alot of yellow buildings with fire flyers in them that you can get into and break all at once. This will probably take a few tries. Thanks to primebeaver for some help with this trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/22.jpgSprite Herder Absorbed 50 Fire Flyers at once See "Sprite Slaughter House" http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/23.jpgPlayed Nice Played in a local multiplayer session On the menu screen or anywhere in game when you have a second controller turned on press the start button and you'll get the trophy immediately. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/26.jpgOld McDonald Absorbed 50 chickens You should get this during the first (non-tutorial) level. There are alot of chickens and you need to get big enough to destroy the barn. You should have enough by the time you are large enough to destroy the barn and the trophy will unlock after you destroy it. If you didn't get the trophy then you should soon afterwards as you progress a little farther and get more chickens, but I didn't even know about this trophy and got it without trying in the first level. Just make sure you absorb all the chickens in the area before you move past them. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/28.jpgTornado Without A Cause Destroyed 100 things without absorbing any Fire Flyers Got this on Zone 1 of Double Wide Damage. I'd thought I had absorbed some but perhaps I was wrong. Just move fast and try not to stay in any spot so you don't absorb a flyer. May also be easier once you have the dash move so you can sprint away from them. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/29.jpgSlacker Absorbed the minimum number of Fire Flyers in a non-tutorial level (non multiplayer) In all zones of a non-tutorial level you need to absorb the minimum number of flyers (50) and get to the load star with that amount, not one more or one less. You can do this by replaying any level. If you get too many on any zone press Start and replay that zone, don't head to the load star as that will make you have to replay any previous zones you had 50 on since this needs to be done in one playthrough of the level, although it doesn't matter if you're replaying the level from the level select screen. Lil_Mermaid_Girl
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/35.jpgYou're A Loose Cannon Destroyed a cannon Story-related. The trophy unlocks after destroying the cannon that the pumpkin lands in in the starting level. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/14.jpgModerate Storm Completed a Vortex Race with a silver medal. These trophies do not stack and you will need to miss two gates and create the vortex to get the trophy. You can replay a level to get these trophies but you will have to replay all the zones in the level to get to the vortex race. Also you may want to go for the harder ones first as the races get more difficult towards the end. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/17.jpgGinormous Slalom Missed 20 gates, but still completed the race You will need to miss 20 gates in a vortex race and still create the vortex. At the beginning try to miss every other gate until you have counted 20. When you miss it makes a different sound than when you don't miss. Once you've counted 20 race as you normally would trying not to miss any more. This actually took a few tries to get as missing so many slows you down and you can end up losing the vortex race having to start over. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/21.jpgSprite Cowboy Absorbed 75 Fire Flyers at once See "Sprite Slaughter House" http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/24.jpgFriends Till An End Released an Orb in multiplayer Beat all the totems of any level with a second controller. If you don't have anyone to play with you can still get this. Each time you are approaching the totems it will alternate which controller is driving the tornado and when attacking the totems both controllers are able to attack. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/25.jpgThe Boss's Boss Released an Orb without losing a Wind Warrior during a Totem approach When I got this I didn't lose a wind warrior on my three tries to the totems (if you hit sunlight you lose one). However when I was attacking the totems I lost two on the first two totems, and I still got the trophy in Zone 2 of Double Wide Destruction. So you cannot lose one on the approach up to the totem, but should be fine even if you lose one attacking the totem. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/30.jpgSilent But Deadly Military Mayhem Zone 1: Absorbed all 17 scientists before growing 4 times (non multiplayer) The scientists are the people wearing the white suits. Since you start at size 2 you need to absorb all 17 before you reach size 6. Keep count of how many you absorbed and avoid destroying any large items so you don't grow much. If you fail, replay that zone and try again. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/32.jpgWaldo's Daddy Unlocked all bonus materials At the end of each completed level on the screen you will see a list of how many water sprites, stone guys, points, and fire flyers you got in the level. (You can also view this before you select the level to replay it). You need to get all the fire flyers, the high score, all stone guys, and all water sprites in each level to unlock this trophy. You can replay levels at any time from the level select screen, and you can do this in local co-op. You will not be able to collect any stone guys or water sprites until you progress far enough in the game and are given the ability to do so. This is a list of the required score points for each level, thanks to blendy for providing us with the list: Chicken Con Carnage: 850,000 Double Wide Damage: 1,500,000 Military Mayhem: 2,200,000 High Roller Blowout: 2,500,000 Carnival Chaos: 2,200,000 Ringling Village: 2,100,000 Camelot Falls: 1,800,000 Coastal Calamity: 1,800,000 http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/33.jpgThere's Waldo Unlocked first bonus material This unlocks after you complete the opening tutorial level and watch the cut scene that follows. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/34.jpgWho Are You Trying To Please? Absorbed and held at least 20 Fire Flyers before destroying 25 things Can get this pretty easily in the last part of the fire flyer tutorial where you need to unlock the LOAD Starrs portal. As the tutorial says destroy a tent and hold R1 to hold the fire flyer. Keep getting to tents as fast you can getting more fire flyers, and when time is at about 5 seconds left release and you should have the trophy if you hit enough tents. If not let time run out and try again. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/15.jpgPerfect Storm Completed a Vortex Race with a gold medal. The vortex race first appears in Zone 2 of Double Wide Destruction. If you don't miss any you should get this. You can replay a level to get these trophies but you will have to replay all the zones in the level to get to the vortex race. Also you may want to go for the harder ones first as the races get more difficult towards the end. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/20.jpgSprite Slaughter House Absorbed 100 Fire Flyers at once You need to get all 100 fire flyers in a zone without absorbing. The best known area so far to get this is Zone 3 of Carnival Chaos. You will need to hold R1 to hold the fire flyers as you get them. Once you have any you start slowing down moving, if you come to a complete stop you will automatically absorb whatever flyers you were holding, so you need to be quick (you're also going against the timer). You will get a short speed boost every time you hold any additional flyers. Here is an image of the path you should take in this zone (thanks to hadzuki for posting the image): Going by this path, you will want to get as big enough as you can going against the plants and fence. When the fence ends turn left heading towards the pool picking up all the stuff you can on the way. When in the pool grab as many people as you can and head up the way the image shows. By the time you are at where the load star is you should be size 6. Now follow the third part of the image making sure you pick up all the yellow glowing areas that are holding fire flyers. One of the hardest parts is being size 11 in enough time to destroy the slides and purple building on the image at the end. Good luck! Here is a video showing an alternate route to take for the trophy: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQSEk6-36Sk]YouTube- Tornado Outbreak 100 Fireflys-Trophy by HTH70[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/232/27.jpgFirenado Absorbed 1300 Fire Flyers This will come just by playing the game and you should have this trophy well before you beat the story. There are a maximum of 100 flyers on all non-tutorial levels, however if you replay a level those still count towards the trophy. Lil_Mermaid_Girl
Me personally, yes I didn't get it (I was very close but after being extremely close I gave up, timed things are not something I particularially (sp?) enjoy ). If you meant in the guide, sorry was just working on it after I posted lol. I still need to post about the reamining secret trophies. I know they're all story related but I didn't write down in my notepad notes when exactly they unlocked so I'm gonna have to go over my trophy list and see the unlock times to figure that out I guess. I need to go now, so I will have to finish later tomorrow. Edited January 2, 2010 by Lil_Mermaid_Girl

Cauchy
Do I have to collect all the stone guys and water sprites while going for the high score? Or can I focus on one thing at a time? Also, is a collectible guide needed for these things or are they all easy to find or is there a built in map? Sorry if the answers to these questions are obvious, but the game is on its way from GameFly and want to mentally prepare myself.
x-CAPP-x
Do I have to collect all the stone guys and water sprites while going for the high score? Or can I focus on one thing at a time? Also, is a collectible guide needed for these things or are they all easy to find or is there a built in map? Sorry if the answers to these questions are obvious, but the game is on its way from GameFly and want to mentally prepare myself. 1) When going for the high scores you do not need to worry about any collectibles. This next part might sound foreign now but once you've played the game you will understand. The key to racking up points is a big Flyer combo. The more Flyers you have on you at once the more points you will get when they are absorbed. The key to the high scores is to always shoot for a minimum of a 50-60 Flyer combo. Also, keep in mind every level is broken up into three stages, if you are not satisfied with a score you obtained for any of the three parts make sure you replay it before you moved on to the next. Your high score is a sum of all three parts of a stage for any given level. Like I said before, this may sound kind of foreign now but play the game, then come back read this and you should fully understand what I’m trying to convey here. Good luck! 2) There is no in-game map for the collectibles and a guide might be helpful it is not really necessary as they are pretty easy to find, the levels are small and you should have no real problems. EDIT: One final tip for the scores; use the guide to see what scores you need to hit and divide them by three. Take that number and always shoot higher than that average. Nothing worse than spending time working on level scores to get to the final part and find out its near impossible to hit the average score because of the way the map is laid out and you end up a tiny bit short. Always try and shoot higher than the average. Edited January 31, 2010 by x-CAPP-x
Cauchy
Thanks for the tips x-Capp, but all of my answers were painfully obvious upon playing the game. So, for anybody else that's wondering, just play the game for an hour or so and you'll know everything you need to about how to play this game. The remaining time is trying to figure out the best route to build up your combo.
Zero_Q8
This game is not 8/10 of difficulty , it's 6 hours to complete , 6 more hours to get all collectables and high scores so I give this 5/10 just keep retrying the zones until you get the high score then repeat the whole stage and get all collectables + vortex race gold medal . For example : high roller stage you need 2,500,000 score just get 850,000 in each zone , try not to get any of the fireflys until you reach level 7 or 8 of wind and start with the small fireflies to the big ones , you may need to capture some of them to level up your tornado so think of a plan and you will get it
