Matix
Hey guys, So what do you actually prefer ? I started using the analog stick but controlling felt very odd and switched back to dpad. Occasionally I move my thumb to the analog stick unintended and that always screws up my spins
kfoxton
i deffo prefer the dpad, its alot easier to get the desired grinds, grabs etc. however like you i do sometiomes find myself automoatically using the analogue, and tend to realise when ive just bailed! Spaceruben
I've tried playing the Tony Hawk games with the Analog Stick over the years but always 100% of the time will end up using the D-Pad, it just feels right.

kerrfaewishy
yup i use the d-pad mostly but tend to find i get wandering thumb syndrome over to stick which usually results in me bailing :-(

Aidan
D-pad, but analog to balance long grinds. The sensitivity of the analog stick makes it incredibly easy to hold grinds for up to 30+ seconds.
Chocoburger
D-pad only full time. Analog stick was only used for THUG and beyond when you run around off the skateboard.
szyszaczek
D-PAD all the way. I've used analog only for manual master. Got 19 manuals :

Matix
Yay, I just finished carrier and projective mode with Reynolds and it was imo easier than expected ! I pretty much used the dpad all the way, grinds & especially manuals. The only disadvantage is that my thumb starts hurting after a few hours
ashleyac
only played this on my brothers account but we were both using the d pad
Puzzler
Dpad all the way for me, I find it much more precise for getting the desired tricks and just general navigation.
cookie 2k09
D-pad, but analog to balance long grinds. The sensitivity of the analog stick makes it incredibly easy to hold grinds for up to 30+ seconds. I would say I did that. D-pad for the tricks, but used the analog on the grinds and manuals. Sajjio
I've only used dpad so far - I think I just started using it automatically, must be the nostalgia hard-wired into me from playing these games years ago. Analog stick for grind/manual balance is a solid tip though, I will have to try that out!
XadaX
I played the TH games on my game cube back then, so I use the analog stick. Got the plat in one day, can't be that bad.
