Introduction

Tomb raider is back! This time it's a series reboot similar to what happened to Devil May Cry. You play as a young Lara who is yet to learn all the techniques she has in the previous games. Upon setting out looking for adventurer, the Endurance ship they are sailing is struck by a huge storm which causes the crew to get ship wrecked on a mysterious island. Hunted by the islanders, Lara must traverse the landscape in order to discover the truth behind the island and also to find a way to escape in one piece with the Endurance crew.

The platinum is a long, but easy one. The singleplayer portion of the game you need to complete 100%, that involves finding all the GPS Caches, Relics and Documents scattered about in each of the camps around the island. This isn't as bad as it seems, as if you find the treasure maps in each of the camps it will reveal the locations of all the treasures in the area. You also need to complete all 13 challenges, which are all basically collectibles. The rest of the trophies are just miscellaneous ones, which shouldn't be too hard to get. A few of them are missable, especially Chatterbox. refer to the guide for more info on that.

The multiplayer portion is what your going to have to sink the most time in. You need to reach level 58, third prestige in order to get all the unlockable items for the 'Shopaholic' trophy. This will take a while, as to reach level 60 it takes about 20hrs depending what method you use to reach it. So 60hrs in total. Each time you prestige you will lose all the weapon upgrades you have bought, so make sure to buy characters first and only buy upgrades for guns that you are going to use. Overall, the platinum is easy but time consuming. But the game is fun, which makes things not seem as bad.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Complete the game on any difficulty

There's no difficulty related trophy, so you can start out on any difficulty you like. Go through the story and pick up any loot and salvage you come across (These are found in boxes, in sacks and on enemies). Also pick up any collectibles and complete any tombs you see but don't worry about getting them all just yet, you can clean those up afterwards. But none of the collectibles are missable, so don't worry about missing any.

There are only a few missable trophies you want to look out for. 3 of them are combat related. Once you reach a place called Shanty Town, you'll want to get these out of the way as soon as possible: Epic Fumble, Deadeye and Boom Goes the Dynamite. The reason for this, is that while there are still some places with enemies that respawn after you complete the story, they won't spawn the enemies you need. Every other trophy bar those 3 can be gotten after completion of the story. Another missable trophy is the Chatterbox trophy. This requires you to go through every conversation with the Endurance crew (Basically, your friends/boat crew). For more info, see the trophy itself.

Step 2: Collect all the collectibles, finish all challenges, complete all tombs and mop up any miscellaneous trophies you missed.

Once you've completed the game, you'll still be able to play and free roam around the island. You'll most likely have to find most of the collectibles (No Stone Left Unturned), have to finish a few tombs (Intellectually Superior) and have to do most of the challenges (Inconceivable!). These are pretty simple to find, since there's a skill that will reveal all of this on your map, except for the challenges. If you need more detailed info though, check the specific trophies. For a challenge guide please visit the thread below:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/tomb-raider/191187-tomb-raider-challenge-guide.html

When going after these trophies, check for any opportunities where you can complete any of the other miscellaneous trophies you may have missed.

Step 3: Singleplayer clean up

Now that you've completed the game and got all the collectibles etc out of the way, you may have missed a trophy such as upgrading all of the weapons, or purchasing all skills. Check the specific trophies in this guide for more info on how to easily obtain them. If they happen to be a missable trophy, you'll have to start a new game again.

Step 4: Multiplayer

When doing multiplayer, you want to aim for the Shopaholic trophy which requires you to purchase all upgrades and characters. This requires you to obtain prestige 3, level 58 as the final solarii character called 'The General' requires you to be third prestige before you can buy him. What you want to do first is buy as many characters as you can with your salvage as once you prestige you lose all the upgrades you have bought for your guns but you keep any characters you may have bought along the way. While going for this trophy you will more than likely get the other multiplayer trophies. If your having trouble with anything then you can consider boosting the trophy in a private match, all trophies except the one for winning each mode in ranked match can be boosted in private matches. It is possible to solo boost XP in this game, which will make things a lot quicker but still time consuming. See True Commitment for info on how to do so.

Find all documents, relics and GPS caches.

There are a total of 171 collectibles to find. You don't have to collect the Treasure maps, but they will come in handy though.

  • Documents: 54
  • Relics: 42
  • GPS cache: 75

All the collectibles are pretty easy to find. While you can't miss any of them, do try to pick up as many as possible when playing through the game. This will save you a lot of time. You can't find all of them right away. Some require story progression before you can get to them. You can pick up a collectible by standing next to it and pressing :square:. If you open your map (:select:), you can see how many collectibles you've found per region.

There are 2 options to find all the collectibles quite easily.

  • If you use your Survival Instinct (press :l2:), it will reveal the collectibles on your map. The game will notify you of a 'New Point of Interest'.
  • Get the last skill in the Survivor skill tree called 'Cartography'. This will reveal all tombs, but most importantly, all treasure maps on your map. If you collect a treasure map, it will reveal all the collectibles in that region.

Once collectibles are revealed on your map, you'll be able to set a waypoint on them by pressing :cross:. Once you've set a waypoint, press :l2: to use 'Survival Instinct' mode to reveal their exact location. You'll be able to see the marker and the collectible through walls etc, and a huge blue beam will rise up from it vertically. Any collectible that hasn't been collected, will show as a white outline icon with a '?' in it. Any collectible you've collected will show as a complete black icon.

Here are all the maps with the collectible locations. If you don't feel like picking up any treasure maps, simply use these maps and use Survival Instinct to reveal their location.

Collect 5000 pieces of salvage.

You find salvage by breaking boxes with your axe, by opening chests, looting animals, enemies etc. You need salvage to upgrade your weapons. While you don't have to worry about salvage, there's plenty in the game, do pick up as many as you come across, because not will it only save you time, but it will also help you towards easier game progression, not to mention a few trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/4F3.jpg Picky (B)

Loot 200 enemies.

Note: If there are too many dead enemies, the game will automatically remove some in the game. While this isn't a problem, don't stack up too many dead enemies in 1 small area.

Every time you kill an enemy, walk up to the body and press :square: to loot the enemy. There are more than enough enemies, so don't worry about it. But do loot as many enemies as possible, because it will also gain you salvage which is needed to upgrade weapons. If you haven't got this and you have completed the story, you can still get it. Simply fast travel to any region and then kill and loot all the enemies. Enemies won't always spawn at the exact same location though.

Purchase all skills in all categories.

To purchase skills you first have to fill the experience bar up fully, once you do that you will be granted 1 skill point to spend on a skill. To access skills, go to the skills option at any campfire. You are rewarded XP for many different things, such as headshots, picking up treasure, completing challenges etc. In order to maximize any XP you get, try and kill enemies will headshots. There is some skills you can buy that will reward you with more xp if you get a headshot, perform a finisher move etc so make sure to buy those when you have the chance to make the other ones easier to obtain. You will no doubt get this trophy by the time you complete the game 100%. Here is a list of all the skills and the 3 trees:

Fully mod and completely upgrade any weapon.

See The Professional

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/CFA.jpg The Professional (S)

Fully mod and completely upgrade all weapons.

There is 4 different weapons in the game, the handgun, the rifle, the bow and the shotgun. You need to fully upgrade these guns by finding the 3 parts for them, then they get upgraded to the next level. All the guns have 3 levels, so a total of 9 parts for each of the weapons. Once you get a notification on screen saying "X 3/3 weapon parts" go to any camp and the gun will get upgraded. This improves the gun and also allows you to mod it with more upgrades.

In order to find weapon parts you have to be using the gun you want parts for. Whatever you loot wherever it be a body or a container, you have a chance of picking up a weapon part. During my playtrough I found barely any but that's because I mainly used the handgun, so by the time I completed the game none of my weapons were fully upgraded. Once I started exploring after the game though and looting tombs / salvage boxes I managed to get all the parts for the guns I needed pretty easily. So this trophy can be gotten after finishing the game.

To upgrade a gun you need salvage, most parts cost around 250 - 400 salvage. Each gun has around 10 upgrades too so make sure you loot everything to get as much salvage as possible in order to upgrade your weapons easier. Here is a complete list of all the upgrades for the guns:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/1E8.jpg Big Game Hunter (B)

Kill and loot 10 large animals (deer, boar, wolves).

On the island there is a couple of large animal species. As stated in the description, you need to hunt and loot 10 of the following; deer, boar and a wolf. You don't need 10 of each, you just need 10 of them all together. All you have to do is shoot one until it dies and then go up to it and press :square: to loot it. Large animals can be found forests in the center of the island.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/CE8.jpg Tastes Like Chicken! (B)

Kill and loot 10 small animals (rabbits, chickens, rats).

On the island there is a couple of small animal species. As stated in the description, you need to hunt and loot 10 of the following; rabbits, chickens and rats. You don't need 10 of each, you just need 10 of them all together. Smaller animals take one bullet from any gun to die, but they are small so shooting them can prove to be a bit tricky. Once you have killed one go up to it and press :square: to loot it. The easiest way to do this is to kill the rats in the caves as there is lots of them, same goes for the chickens in Shanty Town.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/085.jpg Feather Duster (B)

Kill and loot 10 flying animals (crows and gulls).

On the island there is a couple birds. As stated in the description, you need to hunt and loot 10 of the following; cows and seagulls. You don't need 10 of each, you just need 10 of them all together. birds are easy to kill as they sit still until you startle them. So just shoot them from afar with any weapon. Once you have killed one go up to it and press :square: to loot it. The easiest way to do this on shipwreck beach, there is many seagulls here that can be killed easily.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/502.jpg Sharp Shooter (B)

Perform 50 headshot kills in the single player campaign.

Aim for enemies heads for quick and easy kills. Can be done with any weapon except the shotgun. The pistol is a one shot kill to the head, same goes for the bow.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/EBC.jpg Predator (B)

Kill 50 enemies with the bow.

You'll get the bow pretty soon in the game. It's a weapon you'll be using a lot. Simply kill 50 enemies with it and the trophy is yours.

If for some reason you don't have this trophy by the end of the game, fast travel to the Shanty Town. Enemies will respawn there. Kill them all, then fast travel away and then travel back again to get them to respawn.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/4A0.jpg Equalizer (B)

Kill 75 enemies with the rifle.

You'll get rifle about a quarter way into the game. Without any upgrades it isn't that great, just aim for headshots so you don't waste ammo. Simply kill 75 enemies with it and the trophy is yours.

If for some reason you don't have this trophy by the end of the game, fast travel to the Shanty Town. Enemies will respawn there. Kill them all, then fast travel away and then travel back again to get them to respawn.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/3CB.jpg Widowmaker (B)

Kill 40 enemies with the shotgun.

You'll get shotgun about half way into the game. In my opinion it's the best gun as it's a one hit kill at close range. Simply kill 40 enemies with it and the trophy is yours.

If for some reason you don't have this trophy by the end of the game, fast travel to the Shanty Town. Enemies will respawn there. Kill them all, then fast travel away and then travel back again to get them to respawn.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/6FC.jpg Gunslinger (B)

Kill 35 enemies with the pistol.

You'll get handgun pretty early in the game. It is a decent gun, one hit kill to the head. Simply kill 30 enemies with it and the trophy is yours.

If for some reason you don't have this trophy by the end of the game, fast travel to the Shanty Town. Enemies will respawn there. Kill them all, then fast travel away and then travel back again to get them to respawn.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/FC0.jpgEpic Fumble (B)

Force an enemy to drop dynamite that kills two people when exploding.

This trophy is MISSABLE

During the story you will reach an area called "Shantytown", fight your way through until you reach the part with Grim. Now you'll have a lot of enemies in front of you throwing dynamite towards you. Look at the two at the front, these are the guys you want to focus your attention on to get the trophy. Wait until one of them lights a stick of dynamite then quickly shoot them with the shotgun. They will drop the dynamite and it will kill him and the guy next to him. If this doesn't work, restart the checkpoint and try again.

Rope pull 5 enemies off edges.

During the story you will get an upgrade for your bow which will allow you to fire arrows with a rope attached to them. All you have to do is hold down :r2: instead of :r1: to use the rope shot. You'll want to find enemies that are by the edges of high platforms, then shoot them with the rope arrows and hopefully if they were close enough to the edge it will pull them off and they will fall. Repeat another 4 times for the trophy. One of the easier spots is in Shanty town. If you follow the story line, you'll come across quite a few enemies close to a ledge that will lead to an instant death.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/57F.jpg Opportunist (B)

Kill 25 unaware enemies.

You can use the silent killer move with the bow, this will be a "Silent Kill" and will count as an unaware enemy. You want to make sure you walk slowly behind enemies by not pushing the left stick at full force, or enemies will hear you. So just creep up behind them and press the :triangle: prompt, then mash :square:. Repeat on another 24 enemies for the trophy.

You don't have to use the silent killer move with the bow, you can also use arrows or silenced weapons, as long as the enemies aren't aware of your presence.

Perform 15 finishers.

A finisher is when an enemy is down on the floor and they have a :triangle: prompt above them. The easiest way I have found to do this is use the axe on enemies only, that way they will always go down into the finisher state and you can just keep spamming :triangle: to activate it. The trophy will unlock after performing a finisher move 15 times.

Another easy way to do it is use the dodge counter move, this will also count towards Former Adventurer as well. For more info, see the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/86B.jpg Deadeye (B)

Shoot 10 enemies off zip lines.

This trophy is MISSABLE

During the story you will encounter enemies that swing down ziplines to reach you, all you have to do is shoot them while they are on a zipline and they then fall off it. The easiest place I have found to get this is when you are in the Shanty Town. During your time there you will encounter more than 10 enemies that swing down by ziplines.

You can get zip-line kills at the following places:

  • Base Exterior - You'll have to climb a small platform and enemies will appear in the building across. About 4 enemies will use the zip-line directly to you.
  • Shantytown - After the part where they keep throwing dynamite at you, you'll see a cutscene where one of the enemies will create a zip-line. 7 enemies will use the zip-lines.
  • Shantytown - Shortly after the previous place in Shantytown, when you meet up with Grim again, about 6 enemies will use the zip-lines.
  • Gondola Transport - Once you're on the gondola transport, you'll have to board a hanging ship. About 6-8 enemies will use the zip-lines.

The best way I have found is to use the shotgun, as it will knock them off with one shot all the time. if you miss a lot of enemies and they manage to get off the zipline safely, reload the checkpoint and try again.

Incapacitate 25 enemies with dodge counter.

In order to do this you'll first have to purchase the 'Dodge Counter' skill from the Brawler skill tree. To incapacitate an enemy with this you have to stab a single enemy in the knees so they can't get up off the floor, this means two successful dodge counter on one enemy.

What you want to do is go close to an enemy and when you see them about to melee you press :circle: and time will slow down. You now want to press :triangle: when the circle meets the other circle. if done right Lara will stab them in the knee with an arrow. Repeat again on the same enemy to incapacitate them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/E01.jpg Intellectually Superior (G)

Complete all optional tombs.

There is a total of 7 tombs located around the island. To complete the tomb you just have to reach the treasure chest, which is done by completing the simple puzzle before it. Upon opening the chest you will receive a treasure map for the area and also some salvage (Maybe a weapon part too). If you unlock the Purchasing the 'Cartography' skill in the Survivor Skill tree this will reveal the entrances of all the tombs, so you can simply set a way point to each one to find them. This skill is also very beneficial to finding treasure maps too, so I highly recommend unlocking it as soon as you can. Here is a list of all the tombs:

  • Mountain Village - Tomb of the Unworthy
  • Mountain Village - Hall of Ascension
  • Shanty Town - Well of Tears
  • Shanty Town - Chamber of Judgement
  • Summit Forest - Stormguard Sanctum
  • Shipwreck Beach - The Flooded Vault
  • Shipwreck Beach - Temple of the Handmaidens

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/350.jpgBoom Goes the Dynamite (B) (H)

Shoot a bundle of dynamite out of the air.

There is many opportunities in the game to get this, but the easiest area in the game to get it is when you get ambushed part way through the Shanty Town. There will be a group of enemies on the building across from you all throwing dynamite at you. What you want to do is equip the shotgun with :left: and shot a piece of dynamite in the air with it.

Kill FeeFee the crab.

You can find FeeFee the crab on the beach near the "Shipwreck Beach" base camp. Go down to the beach and you will see crabs walking about on the beach. All you have to do is shoot one of these crabs and the trophy will unlock shortly afterwards. Refer to the video below for more help:

Complete all conversations with the Endurance crew.

*MISSABLE*

The Endurance crew consists of Whitman, Roth, Jonah, Sam and Reyes. Throughout the story, at multiple places, you'll have to talk to them and complete 42 optional conversations in total. It is missable and you can't go back after the game to get the trophy. In order to 'complete' the conversations you keep pressing :square: on the crew members until there is no longer a :square: prompt. Each time you complete the conversations with a crew member, you'll see the Tomb Raider auto-save icon (TR) in the bottom right corner, except for Whitman the first time you talk to him.

The conversations appear with the following characters in the following places:

[spoiler=chatterbox]

1. When you have to collect 50 pieces of salvage to upgrade your pick axe, speak to Whitman by the dual switch door until you have exhausted his dialogue.

2. When you have to bring the bag back from the wolves to give Roth some Anti-Biotics, he will give you a climbing axe. Go back and speak to Roth until you have exhausted his dialogue.

3. When you have to reach the 2nd pilot by going to the smoke beacon he has left, make sure to speak to Roth before descending down until you have exhausted his dialogue.

4. When you are on the beach and Jonah wants you to go get parts from the wooden ship, you want to speak to everybody here on the wooden boat. Sam on the turret, Jonah messing with the Engine and Reyes just next to him.

5. You will be tasked to go after Alex to the Endurance wreck to get tools, don't go there yet. You want to speak to Jonah, Sam and Whitman who are by the camp area and then go back to the Boat to speak to Reyes.

6. The final conversation is when you return from the Endurance wreck, it will be night. Speak to Jonas, Reyes and Whitman and the trophy will unlock after speaking to the last person.

If you'd prefer to watch a video, here is one with all the conversation locations:

Complete a match in all multiplayer modes.

There are a total of 4 multiplayer modes.

  • Rescue
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Cry for help
  • Free for all

Simply complete these, and the trophy is yours. You don't have to win in any of the matches. This can be boosted in a (solo) private match. Create a private match and set all the match options as low as possible. Either complete the objective (if possible), or just wait and let the time run out. If you wait, don't stand idle for too long, or else you'll automatically get kicked out of the match.

While you can boost this, it's probably better if you play online ranked matches, because you'll need to win in every multiplayer mode for the I'm all that!. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread. To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/4EF.jpg Artilleryman (B)

Kill 20 enemy players in multiplayer using a turret.

In each map you can find a turret. Run up to it and press :square: to use it. Now simply kill any enemy you see. You don't have to get all 20 kills in 1 match. Turrets can be found on the following maps:

  • Beach - Found in the very center of the map, on top of the concrete colum.
  • Underground - Also found in the center of the map, it is located on top of the submarine.

This can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread. To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/206.jpg Down Boy! (B)

Kill a zip-lining enemy player in multiplayer.

This can be a bit tricky. You can use a zipline in 2 different ways. You can either climb the rope, or you actually use it to zip down the rope. For it to count, you'll need to kill an enemy that's going down.

Make sure to get an instant kill, else the damage will just get them to fall down and hit the ground. If they die because of this, it won't count. A good weapon would be the shotgun when the enemy is close to the end of the zipline. This can be boosted in a private match, If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/89A.jpg Entrapment (B)

Catch a player in a snare trap in multiplayer.

There are multiple different traps scattered around the maps. For this trophy, you need to catch someone in the snare trap. It's the rope trap that hangs you upside down. To activate one, find some rope on the ground and wait for the :square: prompt. Now just press the :square: button to activate it. Now all you have to do is wait for an enemy to get caught in the trap. You don't have to kill them while they're trapped. Run around the map and activate as many as possible. Be careful though, if the traps are set already, you might get caught yourself. Beach has the most snare traps, they are located at the back end of the map by the solarii spawn area.

This can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/E3C.jpg Escapist (B)

Survive 10 explosions in multiplayer.

You'll need to be close to an explosive and survive it. Explosions can come from barrels in the environment, frag grenades (survivors), land mines (survivors), dynamite (survivors/solarii) and fake ammo box (solarii). Simply get caught in the blast, losing health and get away safely afterwards. (Screen turns from red back to normal).

This can be boosted in a private (solo) match. Start a match as the Survivor faction. Press  on the d-pad once to equip the grenade launcher. Shoot it close, but not to close to nearly kill yourself with it. Repeat 10 times. You do need to finish the match for it to count, unless you do all 10 at once. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/313.jpg Good Samaritan (B)

Revive a teammate in a multiplayer match.

This can only be done in the Rescue game mode. When you're on the survivor faction, you'll need to transport med kits. When an enemy kills an ally, he will go down to the ground. The enemies job is to kill him. You can however, run up to your ally and press :circle: to revive him.

This can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/A07.jpg I'm all that! (S)

Win a ranked match in every multiplayer mode.

There are a total of 4 multiplayer modes.

  • Rescue
Survivors: Grab the medkits and get them to the designated area.
Solarii: Kill the survivors. When downed, walk up to them and finish them off with a melee hit.

  • Team Deathmatch
Both factions: Get the required amount of kills, or the most kills when the time runs out.

  • Cry for help
Survivors: Stand in the designated areas and capture it, by standing in the circle long enough. The more people, the faster the capture.
Solarii: Kill the survivors and they'll drop batteries. Quickly grab the batteries before the survivors pick them back up.

  • Free for all
Be the first to get the required amount of kills, or the most kills when the time runs out.

You need to win in every mode, in ranked matches. Go to Find match, select a mode and choose Ranked. To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies. For free for all you have to make sure you come first, if you come joint first it won't count as a win.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/EF0.jpg Sole Survivor (B)

In multiplayer, be the only player on your team that isn't dead or downed.

Can be done in all game modes except Free for All. If all your teammates are dead or down (Rescue) at the same moment, and you're the only one still running around, the trophy unlocks. You are almost guaranteed to get this just by playing team based multiplayer games.

This can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/811.jpg Lights Out (B)

Kill 10 multiplayer enemies using your melee attack.

You perform melee attacks by pressing the :triangle: button. An enemy requires to be hit 2 or 3 times for them to get killed by your melee attack. However, if you sneak up from behind and you see the :triangle: prompt, press it for an instant melee kill. You don't have to get 10 melee kills in 1 match, it can be done over multiple matches and game modes.

This can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/A24.jpg Master Blaster (B)

Kill 2 multiplayer enemies with a single explosive.

This can be done with any explosive (frag grenades (survivors), land mines (survivors), dynamite (survivors/solarii) and fake ammo box (solarii)). The quickest and easiest however is the when you're playing as the Survivor faction. Press  on the d-pad to equip a grenade launcher. Get 2 kills with a single explosive and the trophy unlocks. Can't be done with the Solarri weapon, since it will launch napalm.

Can be boosted in a private match. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/38A.jpg Monkey Around (B)

In multiplayer, escape death 3 times by using the rope ascender.

The rope ascender is something that can only be used by the Solarii faction, except in Free For All, where both factions can use it. When you climb up a zipline, press :square: to use the rope ascender. With this, you'll climb up the rope much faster.

To escape death, you'll need to get hurt badly, close to being death and quickly jump on a rope and press :square: to escape. Do not die in the progress of course. A good indicator that will tell you if you're injured badly, is when your character grabs his/her stomach with the right arm.

This can be boosted in a private (solo) match. Simply stand below a zip line, shoot someone in the leg a few times and let him/her grab the zipline and use the rope ascender. Wait for your health to return to normal and repeat. In a solo match, stand in fire and quickly go to a zip-line. This doesn't work with self-inflicted damage. If you need a boosting partner, use the Trophy Boosting Thread.

To check your progress, at the multiplayer menu go to Feats & Setbacks, go to the Trials tab and go to Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/39F.jpg Narcissistic (B)

Purchase a new multiplayer character.

Go to character selection at the multiplayer menu and scroll all the way to the right until you see a character that you can purchase. The first character on both factions costs 250. Buy any of the two and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/A32.jpg On My Way Up (B)

Reach level 10 in multiplayer.

See the True Commitment trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/EA5.jpg Shopaholic (B)

Buy every upgrade and character in multiplayer.

Before you can buy every upgrade and characters, you'll need to level up quite some. You'll need to be Prestige 3, Level 58. You'll need to hit Prestige 3 to buy the last character, and level 58 again to buy all upgrades. Every time you hit level 60, you can prestige, which will reset everything, except the characters you've bought. Knowing this, if you want this trophy as soon as possible, don't spend any salvage on upgrades, as these will reset once you prestige, meaning you'll have to rebuy them. If you're going to play the multiplayer, do buy some upgrades for your favorite loadouts to help you out. You can buy any character you want, as these won't reset.

You can of course, boost your way up to prestige 3, level 58, which means you won't have to worry about buying any upgrades or not, since you won't be using them anyway. If you want to boost, please see the boosting method explained at the True Commitment trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/831/5D9.jpg True Commitment (S)

Reach level 60 in multiplayer.

Level 60 takes 1,771,100 EXP. You gain experience by simply playing the multiplayer. The quickest do this is by sticking to the objective of the game mode you're playing. This will take quite some time to achieve.

This can boosted in a private (solo) match.

The quickest way to boost this solo, is by using the following options:

  • Create a private Match.
  • Choose the Rescue game mode.
  • Choose any map.
  • Faction: Survivor
  • Match options:
    • Time Limit: 20 minutes
    • Number of rounds: Best of 3
    • Medkits to retrieve: 20
    • Survivors to kill: Doesn't matter

Now start the match and simply pick up the medkits and drop them off at the designated location. Just keep doing this over and over. While you're going after the medkits, also pick up any salvage you come across. While it's not much, it will help you out greatly overall. Doing this, it will take you approximately 15 hours to reach level 60.

If you have a boosting partner, or 2, you can even level up faster.

Amazing guide guys!! I just finished the game, but sadly missed out on "Deadeye"... Is there NO way to get it post-story? I have to start over anyway because I wasn't aware of the conversations trophy and missed out on the first Whitman conversations... Also, just a little mistake you guys put for "Opportunist", It's actually hitting the :triangle: prompt and then mashing :square:.

I was on the fence about this game bc of the concentration on mp trophies but they kinda remind me of more assassins creed mp trophies which are not hard and enjoyable with a solid group of ppl. However just a question on some of the mp trophies you say you can do this solo? Do you mean like solo where you are in a match only by yourself? Or in a match by yourself with other players who will bother you and give you at hard time?

You can do all but ONE MP trophy in Private matches, some can be done solo (by yourself), and a few of them take 2-3 people(including yourself).. For the Prestige 3, Level 58, you can play by yourself for the whole grind.

Hope this helps.

Great guide from both of you. :)

Indeed. You might as well just give an automatic Sticky to any Trophy Guide that Harry94 works on. They're ALWAYS masterfully done and incredibly accurate. All of your extremely hard work and attention to detail definitely doesn't go unnoticed, and this whole community greatly appreciates what you do for us. Thank You!

I actually just started over because stupid me didn't check for trophy guides and missed out on the first conversation. I even walked past him twice checking for loot before opening the door, too. Never saw the prompt. Oh, well. At least I was only a little over an hour in.

However, Harry, I'm afraid I am a bit lost about your description for the Chatterbox trophy. You say there are 13 conversations, but your guide only shows 6. Am I missing something, or is your guid missing the other 7?

There ARE 13 conversations, but only 6/7 confrontations, you have to keep talking to the characters until you can't talk to them anymore, all of the conversations add up to 13.

Thanks for the quick reply, Yoda. So, I assume this means that some of the conversation points actually give more than 1 conversation? See, that is what confused me, and should probably be explained in the guilde. Though, it will probably be more clear once the video is up, I suppose.

Unfortunately, it appears I won't be getting the platinum anyway. I am typically not very good at multiplayer (which is why I hate when there are trophies that require you to reach high mp levels), so getting to Prestige 3 level 58 is probably not going to happen.

But, I plan to enjoy the game and get what I can.

Same here. I came into the game knowing I wasn't gonna plat it as I'm not that good at MP either. but like you said, i do plan to enjoy the game & I will get all the SP trophies at least. I will try the MP, but not planning on getting far.

Wow, 65 hours for the multiplayer is pretty ridiculous by today's standards. A lot of games I've played over the past years had a multiplayer grind of maybe 30 hours tops on average... but more than twice that sounds not too inviting. I haven't tried the multiplayer yet, but if it's as bad as the reviews make it out to be, I'll probably pass on the plat.

The only reason it is so high as the last character (The general I think it is) requires third prestige for some reason to unlock it, everything else can be bought before reaching level 60 which takes about 15hrs. I'm just hoping it get's patched but I doubt it :/

The last character unlocks at 3rd prestige, but you need to get to Level 58 on 3rd Prestige to unlock the last weapon again... The online portion is about 40-60 hours.... Like I said, if it takes anyone more than 70 hours, they're obviously doing something wrong.
