eburkulosis
This is regarding the Gates of Fire trophy Which is: Defend Capital in Siege 20 times in Theatre of War Anyone know the exact requirements to create a siege map? If you look on PSNProfiles.com, it seems like this is a once-in-a-blue-moon occurrence. Gates of Fire Trophy in Tom Clancy's EndWar - PSNProfiles.com So a few of us were boosting this and finally a map in Paris came up. So we thought to get a Siege on Paris, that during the next two turns, EU has to lose in it's defense during these turns. We were boosting this and trying to affect the outcomes. 1st Turn was Conquest on Paris - EU lost to US 2nd Turn (since EU lost in conquest in the 1st turn) was Assault on Paris - EU lost to US 3rd (we thought) would be Siege on Paris since EU lost in it's Assault defense. To review, we succeeded in having EU lose in 'conquest' and 'assault' in the 1st and 2nd turns respectively. So we thought a Siege map would come up for sure on the third turn. This was not the case, much to our dismay. Some other things happened in the surrounding battles in EU that may or may not have had an influence. 1. Assault on Le Ceito - EU won this assault defense against US and was the connecting map to Paris. Since EU won, the connection US had to Paris seemed to be lost as a result. 2. EU in fact won all other maps that turn. I believe there were 3 or so more Assault Maps and a Raid. I am wondering if there is a certain amount of maps EU has to lose in general (maybe all of them) on that turn as well as the capital (Paris) losing it's turn. Any thoughts or insight on how to affect outcomes to create a siege map would be appreciated. Seems like the internet is thin on information regarding this trophy. b0b
Well sir, it's solely because the US wouldn't hold any map which is directly connected to the City (Paris). As you may have seen during the many, many boring hours you've spent on WWIII, there is an arrowlike indicator which shows you from where you are attacking and who you are attacking. If you hold no ground 'from where you are attacking', then there simply can't be any attack. Next time make sure to make the EU lose in Paris AND any of the maps that are connected to it directly. If you're like "daayyyuummmmm that'll be a shitload of boosting with no direct result", then get some other people who can also affect the outcome. If you could gather 8 people and do 1vs1 matches, you can get 4 people to boost on the city map and 4 people to boost on the map connected to it. Chop chop eburk. Gather some people. jungle5406
That god the servers are so quiet! Once you see a capital city become available in your mission que..make sure the defending team loses over the course of the next couple days until the mission type changes to siege!
