Roadmap

Introduction

Come on down, you are the next contestant on The Price Is Right!!! The classic tv game show comes to PS3 in a fun little package that includes all its classic moments, making you feel like you're part of the real game. The Price is Right puts you into the shoes of your custom character as they try to make it from Contestant's Row all the way to the Showcase Showdown to win it all! The game itself is very easy to pick up and can be 100%'d very easily (especially if you use the price guide). The only trophy that will serve as a slight annoyance is Big Spin! as it requires you to land on the $1.00 spot in your first spin of The Big Wheel. All the prize games (Plinko, Hole In One, etc) can be unlocked by playing the regular game and winning them during it. This helps out a lot and makes the prize game related trophies much easier to go after since you can just play them without having to do the entire game.

Tip: For help with the pricing of items and everything in the game, make sure to check out this GUIDE for help!

Walkthrough

Step 1: Create Your Custom Character

- When you begin the game, make sure to create your custom character and change EVERYTHING (Hair, Glasses, Shirt, Pants, & Shoes) on them from the original model and then save. Once you finish that, Suit Up! will be yours!

Step 2: Play a Party Game

- Select "Party Game" from the main menu, start a 2-player game (w/ 1 or 2 controllers, whichever you prefer) and during the Contestant's Row game at the beginning, have player 1 guess the price exactly. First Win!, Party Animal & Legendary! should pop right after that (even before you play another game type). You don't have to finish the game after it pops, so exit out after that.

Step 3: Play 2 Normal Games

- Select Normal Game from the menu and play through it as normal. Make sure that you go after any prize game trophies (Hole In One, Plinko, etc) if you have a chance to play them during this run and win whatever game you end up playing. Also shoot for $1.00 in your first spin on the Big Wheel. When you get to the Showdown, you want to guess the price of your showcase exactly so you win both showcases. Your side goal is to end up with over $50,000 in winnings at the end of this show (if possible). After that, you will want select "play again" and make it all the way to the Showdown again. This will get you Showcase Must Go On!, Double Showcase!, Money Maker! & Second Round!

Step 4: Play A Game Of 3 Strikes

- Select 3 Strikes from the main menu and play through the game winning everything you play. Your goals here are to achieve over $200,000 in total winnings before you get your third strike and to complete one "show" (a show is one run from contestant's row to the showdown) without getting a strike. Also aim for any prize game trophies you might've missed. This will net you Price Master! & Safe!.

Step 5: Clean Up

-At this point, you should have all the trophies except for some of the prize game related trophies and the 20 contestant row wins. From the main menu (single player, party game, trophy, etc), select the trophy button and select whatever game you wish to attempt for the trophy you're missing. If the game is not unlocked through your previous play throughs, than you will need to replay normal games until you get that game and win it to unlock it in this menu. The only 2 you really need to make sure are unlocked is Hole In One & Plinko as Contestant's Row & Showcase Showdown will be unlocked already. Once you get these, sit back and enjoy your 100%!

End a show with no strike.

You must make it through your first "show" in a game of "3 Strikes" without getting a strike. You only get strikes if you lose in the Contestant's Row or in the Showcase Showdown, so you must win both of them in order for the trophy to pop.

Use this THREAD if you need help with the pricings.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/05.jpg Double Showcase! (B)

Win a double showcase.

You must win both showcases during the Showcase. To win both showcases, you have to be within $250 of actual price of your showcase.

Complete 2 shows in a row.

You must complete 2 FULL normal shows (not in 3 strikes) in a row. This means that you have to make it to the Showcase back-to-back times. Once you complete the second showcase, the trophy will pop.

Use this THREAD if you need help with the pricings.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/10.jpg Legendary! (S)

Get a price exactly right.

You have to guess the correct price exactly during the Contestant's Row game for the trophy to pop.

Use this THREAD if you need help with the pricings.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/07.jpg Suit Up! (B)

Create a complete custom character.

When you create your character, just change everything you can with him and after you finish and save, this trophy will pop! (Thanks SoopaKilla for this!)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/12.jpg On The Ball! (S)

Put the ball in the whole from the furthest position.

In the Hole In One! game, make sure that you select the highest priced item first and then a lower priced one second when trying to gain distance towards the hole. Once you do that, you will start from the furthest location from the hole. Make the put from there and the trophy is yours!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/13.jpg In The Plink! (S)

Drop the chip and land on the $10,000 spot.

In Plinko!, you must have get one of your chips fall into the middle $10,000 spot for the trophy to pop. Get all 5 possible Plinko chips to begin with for maximum chances at it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/560/09.jpg Big Spin! (S)

Score $1 in one spin at the Showcase Showdown.

During the Showcase Showdown, you must have the wheel land on $1.00 spot during your first spin for this trophy to pop.

If you're having problems, here's a tip from Rhysss:

The trick I used for the wheel, and got it to be pretty consistent:

I could get $1 in a single spin consistently by going up, waiting for 2-3 seconds (probably not critical), then bringing the stick down at about 15% strength/power. The wheel would go around once then land on $1 the 2nd time around. Use that info to gauge power when you try. If you error on the side of going too easy, there's a great chance you'll land on 90 instead of 1 dollar, which will = a win as well.

Hope this helps!

Here's some more hidden trophies:

Bronze:

Suit up!- Create a complete custom character.

Silver:

On the ball!- Put the ball in the hole from the furthest position.

In the plink!- Drop the chip and land on the $10,000 slot.

Thank you for those... Just a quick question, what constitutes a complete custom character? I've changed everything on mine and it has popped...

After those ones, we're only missing 1 more hidden tropy...

I think the one we're missing is a silver for getting $1 on the first spin on the wheel.. A bunch of people have been saying that's one...

As for the custom character I just changed everything, his hair, glasses, shirt, pants and shoes and it unlocked. I guess you've gotta change everything once after creating him initially...

i have not lol i just pmed a gmod to show me how as i haven't done it before :p.

edit: the wheel is mostly luck but my advice is spining it almost as hard as it can go most of the times you will get close enough.

i got the 100 twice in one game hoping it would unlock a trophy but nothing :(

I finally got it, just need $200000 and win 2 games, the wheel is kicking my ass though, that's the only place when I EVER get a damn strike...

Same here... I got the 2 games one earlier, but I've been at $170000 twice now and got the damn last strike on the wheel... Argh...

Edit: FINALLY got it after starting off with 2 X's... I thought I was screwed because I finished one of the Showdowns with $197000, won the contestant's row item and had $199971 and I got Half-Off as my mini-game... I was like NOOOOOO, if I end up being $29 shy I'm going to kill... Forgot you get cash for when you win the side-items in the game, so thankfully I barely made it...

I couldn't get the Second Round trophy to pop. I got to the third round without any strikes, and won the double showcase both times (by using the pricing guide, of course lol). I'll just have to try again another day, I guess. Maybe just throw the showcases intentionally, idk.

It has to be in back to back normal games, not in 3 strikes mode...

How do you unlock the SAFE! trophy? I tried for an hour solid on the 3-strikes game and EVERY time I get to the wheel (on my first game), I go over $1.00 and get a strike.

BTW, I know for a fact that you can't get this trophy if you get zero strikes on your second, third or fourth round. It HAS to be on the first... its gotta be, right? I got to the fourth round with only one strike (from that first game) and the trophy didn't unlock. This is such bull.

You are correct that it has to be on the first try as you can't have any strikes at all when you complete the show (not even from previous ones). The wheel was the killer for me many times (especially when going for the $200,000 one), but just keep trying and eventually you will get it. If all else fails and this is the only trophy you are going after, if you fail at the wheel the first time, than just restart the game and try again instead of running through the remaining strikes.

Yep. That's exactly what I've been doing. Surprisingly, I've read where people have had trouble with the $200,000 trophy. Once the game FORCES YOU TO FAIL at the wheel the first time (gah!), as long as you are following the price guide posted here, you should get the $200,000 trophy immediately after the second "Showcase Showdown" win (if you're getting double wins).

It depends on what the showcase consists of and what prize game you pay prior to that... There are few that will force you to do 3 (and actually almost 4) showcases in order to get the $200,000 even with winning the double showcases as most average around $40-50,000 for both.
