Welcome to the 2-D world of Terraria, where the world is your sandbox! You can destroy, kill, build, decorate, mine, collect, PvP with buddies or even journey to hell! The possibilities are almost endless. This is your world to shape and make it into what you want.

You can make as many characters or worlds that the game will allow. Some trophies, like All in the Family, require you to have all the NPCs in one world whereas, the requirements for Airtime! can be gained between all the worlds you play on.

The whole game can be played with multiple buddies, they must be on your friends list in order for them to see your world when you enable it for online. This makes everything easier because the bosses and enemies do not scale with the amount of people in the game.

Boss strategies for Hard Mode:

There are two main ways to fight bosses. One is the hard way that requires you to stay mobile and dodge most of the attacks. In order to do that you should prepare an arena for each boss that will allow you to move around as much as it takes to consistently dodge attacks. The second way is to abuse the invincibility frames you get when you take damage from something. Every time you take damage, almost no matter what the source is, you become invulnerable to damage during a short period of time. The trick to exploiting this is to make sure you take damage from something that barely takes any health away. With the help of accessories such as the Cross Necklace you can increase this window of invulnerability to the point where bosses will struggle to land even a single hit.

Most of the ways to exploit this have been patched in the current version of the game but there are still at least two setups that work really well. The first one is to get enough defense so that you can stay on Spikes (collected from the Dungeon) while your natural health regeneration makes up for the constant damage you will take. With 78 defense you will only take one damage per active damage frame and regenerate health much faster than you lose it. When used together, a Regeneration Potion, Campfire and Heart Lantern will further lower the amount of defense you need down to 60-70. Due to how much defense that is required you will not be able to use this strategy before Hard Mode.

The second way to exploit invincibility frames is to stand right in the middle of a bunch of mob spawning statues that are connected to timers that fire off several times per second. This gives you even more invincibility frames than by standing on Spikes but you will on the other hand be limited in the ways you can fight like this since the spawned mobs will soak up all the damage from normal attacks. The Horseman's Blade works extremely well with such a setup since each strike from it summons homing pumpkin heads that deal a lot of damage. There are several ways to wire the timers so that they go off frequently. Here's a good reference build that was made by DicemanX and posted on the official Terraria forums: Frost Moon Final Wave in Record Time (Horseman's Blade Semi-Autofarm) | Terraria Community Forums

Note: These exploits have all been patched in the current PC version so it is likely that they will stop working in the PS4 and Xbox One version too when those receive the next update in 2017. If you're playing on version 1.09 or lower, then they will still work.

Artificial biomes:

If you want to farm enemies that only spawn in a certain biome and can't find a good naturally generated spot for that, then you can create one yourself by placing enough biome specific blocks in close proximity of each other. The official Terraria wiki has a good guide on how to do that for each biome: Guide: Artificial biomes - Official Terraria Wiki

Farming enemies with a lava trap:

You're going to be doing a lot of tedious farming if you want to get all the trophies on your own. The best way to farm for rare enemies and drops is to create dig a shallow hole, fill it with a thin layer of lava then position yourself right below it so that enemies will get killed by the lava when they pass by. Understanding how NPC spawning works is crucial in order to build an effective lava trap setup: NPC Spawning - Official Terraria Wiki

World size

A smaller world size lets you get around faster and find places like the Jungle Temple more easily but it comes at the cost of the world having less resources such as Life Crystals and floating islands compared to a larger world. If you're playing co-op it's recommended to use a large world and for solo playthrough, a small world works better.

Step 4: Hard Mode

Hard Mode is very tough at first. The initial task is to find Demon (or Crimson) Altars and destroying them with the Pwnhammer so that new Hard Mode exclusive ores are spawned. If you've done a lot of fishing in pre-Hard Mode then now is the time to open all the crates you've collected. Turn off auto-saving while opening Iron Crates so you can quit without saving in case you don't get a Tartar Sauce. If you're lucky you might get enough ore to skip some of the exploration for it that you will otherwise have to do. The goal is create a Mythril (or Orichalcum) Anvil, an Adamantite (or Titanium) Forge then either the Adamantite or Titanium armor set (depending on what ores you have available). It's random which three of the six Hard Mode ores that will be spawned in your world but it's possible to get all of them in a single world by opening crates.

Once you have Adamantite or Titanium tier armor it's time to take on your first Hard Mode boss. See Exterminator (S) and Back for Seconds (G). The Destroyer is usually the easiest of the three mechanical bosses to start with. Refer to Boss strategies for Hard Mode if you're having trouble with them. Now is also the time to try to get as many of the remaining NPCs as possible. Make sure you have 20 valid houses in total that NPCs can move into.

After killing all three mechanical bosses you should be strong enough to take on Ocram. Kill it a few times until you have enough Soul of Blight to make either the Dragon, Titan or Spectral armor set. Which one you make depends on your preferred playstyle but you will eventually have to craft all three of them for A Knight in Shining Armor (S).

The next boss to take on is Plantera, which is spawned by destroying those glowing purple bulbs that can only be found in the Underground Jungle once all three mechanical bosses have been killed. Life Fruits will also start to grow in the Underground Jungle at this point, so start working on collecting 20 of them for Maxed Out (S). Killing Plantera will give you a Temple Key which is used to gain entry into the Jungle Temple where the Golem is found. Make sure to bring a Wire Cutter so you can disable all the dangerous traps found inside the temple. Those traps can then be used to create automated boss farms once you have a pickaxe that is strong enough to mine them. It's highly recommended to stock up on Spear Traps and a few Super Dart Traps (for "bird engines") if you plan on taking on the Pumpkin and Frost Moon events.

Killing Plantera will spawn tougher enemies in the Dungeon and make the Truffle NPC start to sell the Autohammer, which should be the final crafting station you will need for (S) Crafty. When you're ready, head into the Dungeon and farm the Dungeon Spirits for Ectoplasm, which is used to craft the summoning items for the Pumpkin and Frost Moon events. The Pumpkin Moon event is the easier of the two but it's still quite hard unless you're prepared for it. The goal is initially to get through enough waves so that Pumpkings start to spawn and have a chance to drop The Horseman's Blade. Once you have that you can use the semi-automated farm from the Boss strategies for Hard Mode section to farm the two events for the pet items required for Pet Hoarder (S).

Note that Duke Fishron is not required for Exterminator (S). If you can get another player to drop you all the pet items and armor sets needed for Pet Hoarder (S) and A Knight in Shining Armor (S) then you can completely skip both the Pumpkin and Frost Moon events.

Step 5: Clean up

When you've reached this stage you should mostly only have the time-consuming trophies left. Check the requirements for the trophies you haven't unlocked yet and start working on them. Save Corruptible (S) and Hallowed Be Thy Name (S) for last.

This Guide is based on the 1.09 patch.

Step 1: Play the tutorial

Playing and completing the tutorial will earn you these two trophies:

(B) Terraria Student

(B) Terraria Expert

Step 2: Create some checklists.

Before you start playing the main game, it would be advisable to create a checklist for the following trophies so you can more easily keep track of what you have done:

(S) Exterminator

(S) Slimer

(S) Pet Hoarder

(S) A Knight in Shining Armors

(S) Crafty

Step 3: Pre-Hard Mode

You will want to have one main world that is used for progressing through the game and where you will be spending most of your time. Start building your main base as soon as possible so that you can get useful NPCs to move in. See All in the Family (B).

The first few days should be spent trying to get armor and weapons that will allow you to survive a bit better. A decent early equipment setup can be made by harvesting Cactus plants in the desert and then making a Cactus Sword and Cactus armor at a Workbench. Once you get some Rope you can start working on a Hellevator (S) that will also be useful for getting deeper down underground where better ore is found.

During this time you will earn (Survivor (B) and then eventually Blood Moon Rises (B). While playing, keep a look out for Fallen Stars that drop from the sky at night and Life Crystals that are found below the surface. See Maxed Out (S).

Fishing is required to get two pet items for Pet Hoarder (S) and doing quests for the Angler NPC will get you useful rewards in general. Save the crates you fish up so you can open them in Hard Mode for better rewards. Iron Crates in particular should be saved so you can open all of them in batches and then quitting without saving if you don't get a Tartar Sauce. Once you have a decent fishing setup and a couple of Sonar Potions you can head to one of the oceans and start fishing for the Reaver Shark pickaxe which is the strongest pickaxe available in pre-Hard Mode. Keep a look out for the Zephyr Fish pet item while fishing and use a Sonar Potion so you don't waste bait on fish you don't want. Visit the official Terraria wiki for more information on fishing: Fishing - Official Terraria Wiki

As soon as you get a Gravitation Potion you can start exploring the sky for the Icarus (B) and Is This Heaven? (B) trophies. The Skyware Chests that can be found on the floating islands have a chance to contain a Lucky Horseshoe, which is a really useful accessory since it negates all fall damage and can help with (S) Safe fall if you haven't unlocked it already.

Once you feel strong enough, take on your first boss in either the Corruption or Crimson but which one will depend on what biome your world was generated with. To spawn them you need to find and destroy three Shadow Orbs (Corruption worlds) or Crimson Hearts (Crimson worlds). If you've managed to fish up a Reaver Shark at this point you can use it to mine your way through, and if not you will need to find some Bombs. Make sure you have a vacant house for the Demolitionist NPC so you can buy more Bombs from him once he moves in after you've found your first explosive. Gold tier armor or better is recommended when you first take on these bosses. Molotov Cocktails are very effective against both the Eater of Worlds and Brain of Cthulhu, so make sure to bring at least 50 of them. Before you destroy the third Shadow Orb or Crimson Hearts you'll want to prepare some kind of arena where you can fight the boss because it will spawn immediately. A few levels of platforms that you can move around on will make the fight much more manageable.

Once a Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart has been destroyed there's a chance every night that a Meteorite will fall down and create a crash site filled with Meteorite ore. 135 Meteorite ores smelted into 45 Meteorite Bars are needed in order to create the Meteorite armor for (S)A Knight in Shining Armors. A Tungsten Pickaxe or better is required in order to mine Meteorite.

The Goblin Army will likely show up within a couple of days after destroying the first Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart. Defeat it to earn Crowd Control (B) and then explore the Cavern layer a bit until you find the Goblin Tinkerer NPC. In exchange for coins he can reforge your equipment to give it a random prefix which affects the stats of the item. Keep reforging until you get the prefix you're looking for. Reforging all your accessories to Warding will provide a huge boost to your defense so it's worth doing if you can afford it. Make sure to buy the Tinkerer's Workshop which lets you combine certain accessories into one item.

At some point you will also want to explore the Underground Jungle for the unique materials and items that are found there. If you're feeling brave you can attempt to do this before you kill any of the other bosses, but keep in mind that the Underground Jungle is a tough place early on. Defeating Queen Bee is required for Exterminator (S) and there are various other things there related to trophies. Preparing a grid of tunnels that covers the entire Underground Jungle will make it much easier to find Plantera's Bulbs in Hard Mode.

When you have obtained the Shadow armor (or its Crimson equivalent) you want to start preparing an arena near the Dungeon that will be used to fight Skeletron in. He is spawned by talking to the Old Man near the Dungeon entrance at night. A good ranged weapon is recommended in this fight. Once Skeletron is killed you can start to explore the Dungeon. Make sure you find the Mechanic NPC before leaving the Dungeon, and also pick up a Cobalt Shield to aid you with getting Gone in 60 seconds (B).

The final stage of pre-Hard Mode is to go down to The Underworld and preparing to take on the Wall of Flesh. This is the right time to get Appease the Volcano Gods (S) and Homicidal (S). Defeating the Wall of Flesh will immediately put the world into Hard Mode and unlock Challenge Accepted (G). Creating a long bridge over the lava while using ranged weapons such as the Minishark will make the fight much easier. Make sure you pick up the Pwnhammer afterwards.

The Guide has moved in!

See All in the Family.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/0A9.jpg All in the Family (B)

Every NPC has moved in!

There are 18 NPCs you need to have move in and they need to appear in the same world. Note that there are more than 18 NPCs in the game but some of them are not required for this trophy. In order for any of them to move in, you first need to have a valid "house" that is vacant. The tutorial available from the title menu of the game will guide you through the process of creating a house. For more information how all the possible ways to construct a house, consult the offical Terraria wiki: House - Official Terraria Wiki

Be careful not to build any NPC houses too close to the Corruption or Crimson since that will make those houses unsuitable for living in. This can become a problem in Hardmode when the Corruption or Crimson starts spreading rapidly.

The Traveling Merchant does not move in anywhere but shows up once in a while and stays for an entire day at a time.

In addition to having a vacant house for them, each of the NPCs has a unique requirement for spawning that has to be met in every world that you want them to appear in. NPCs that die will always respawn as long as there is a vacant house available. Here is a list of the specific requirements for all 20 NPCs to spawn:

Pre-Hard Mode:

  • Arms Dealer: Have at least one gun or bullet in your inventory.
  • Clothier: Skeletron is defeated in the world you're in.
  • Demolitionist: Have an explosive in your inventory. The Merchant must also have moved in first.
  • Dryad: Any boss except King Slim or Wall of Flesh is defeated.
  • Dye Trader: Have a Dye or any item used to craft one.
  • Goblin Tinkerer: Randomly spawns in the Cavern layer once the Goblin Army has been defeated. Free him by talking to him and he will then move in whenever a vacant house becomes available.
  • Guide: No requirement; always spawns.
  • Mechanic: Can be found randomly while exploring the Dungeon. Talk to her to make her move in once a house becomes vacant.
  • Merchant: All players in the world must have more than 50 silver coins between them in their inventories.
  • Nurse: Have more than 100 maximum health.
  • Painter: At least three other NPCs have moved in.
  • Party Girl: Has a chance to spawn every morning when at least eight other NPCs are in the world and no other NPC is waiting to move in.
  • Witch Doctor: Queen Bee is defeated at least once in the world you're in.

Hard Mode:

  • Cyborg: Plantera is defeated at least once in the world you're in.
  • Pirate: The Pirate Invasion is defeated at least once in the world you're in. The invasion has a chance to happen randomly once Hard Mode has been entered, or can be triggered directly by using a Pirate Map which has a chance to drop from enemies near the Ocean biome in Hard Mode. Note that the Pirate Map can be used before Hardmode so it is technically possible to get the Pirate to move in before then (by bringing a Pirate Map to a new world for example).
  • Steampunker: At least one of the mechanical bosses has been defeated in the world you're in.
  • Truffle: Have a vacant house in or near a surface Mushroom Biome during Hardmode.
  • Wizard: Randomly spawns in the Cavern layer in worlds that have entered Hardmode. Free him by talking to him and he will then move in whenever a vacant house becomes available.

Not required:

  • Angler: Spawns randomly near the Ocean. Talk to him to make him move in once a house becomes vacant. Although he's not required for any trophies, the rewards you get from completing his quests can be useful to have.
  • Santa Claus: Only spawns during the Christmas season (December 15–31).
  • Stylist: Has a random chance to spawn in Spider Nests. Talk to her to make her move in once a house becomes vacant.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/BB4.jpg Rock Bottom (B)

You have reached the bottom of the World!

Dig down until you reach the Underworld. It is recommended to bring an Obsidian Skin Potion before you go down there since the lava kills you very fast unless you have protection against it. A pickaxe that can mine Hellstone is also recommended but not required. The trophy will unlock when the screen stops scrolling down and you can't go further down.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/BFC.jpg Exterminator (S)

You have defeated every boss!

There are 13 bosses you need to defeat in order to unlock this trophy but Duke Fishron isn't required.

Pre-Hard Mode:

  • Brain of Cthulhu: Summoned by destroying three Crimson Hearts in a single world. It can also be summoned by using a Bloody Spine while in a Crimon biome.
  • Eater of Worlds: Summoned by destroing three Shadow Orbs in a single world. It can also be summoned by using a Worm Food while in a Corruption biome.
  • Eye of Cthulhu: Has a random chance to spawn at night when at least one player has at least 200 health and more than 10 defense, and it hasn't been defeated in the current world yet. It can also be summoned by using a Suspicious Looking Eye at night.
  • King Slime: Randomly spawns on the surface in the outer two thirds of the world where there is green grass. It can also be summoned by using a Slime Crown.
  • Queen Bee: Summoned by destroying the larva inside the Bee Hides found in the Underground Jungle. Can also be summoned by using an Abeemination while in a jungle biome.
  • Skeletron: Summoned by talking to the Old Man outside the Dungeon at night.
  • Wall of Flesh: Spawned by dropping a Guide Voodoo Doll in lava. Voodoo Demons in The Underground always drop Guide Voodoo Dolls when killed

Hard Mode:

  • Golem: Summoned by using a Lihzahrd Power Cell at a Lihzahrd Altar (initially found in the Jungle Temple).
  • Ocram: Summoned by using a Suspicious Looking Skull at night.
  • Plantera: Summoned by destroying one of the purple glowing bulbs that start growing in the Underground Jungle once the three mechanical bosses have been defeated.
  • Skeletron Prime: Summoned by using a Mechanical Skull at night.
  • The Destroyer: Summoned by using a Mechanical Worm at night.
  • The Twins: Summoned by using a Mechanical Eye at night.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/DB5.jpg Slimer (S)

You have killed every type of slime!

You need to kill at least one of every type of slime in order to unlock this trophy. If you don't want to have to unlock Hard Mode in two different worlds you can mine some Ebonstone or Crimstone Blocks (depending on what your main world has) from another world and create an artificial biome by placing around 200 of those blocks near each other until the biome changes (the background and music will change when that happens). Creating an artificial biome around a lava trap is a great way to farm for specific enemies and loot.

Below is a list of all the slimes required for this trophy and where they can be found:

Pre-Hard Mode:

  • Baby Slime: Immediately spawns when a Mother Slime is killed.
  • Black Slime: Spawns in the Cavern layer.
  • Blue Slime: Found everywhere.
  • Dungeon Slime: Spawns in the Dungeon.
  • Green Slime: Found everywhere.
  • Ice Slime: Spawns in Snow biomes.
  • Jungle Slime: Spawns in Jungle biomes.
  • King Slime: Very rarely spawns at outer edges of the surface when certain conditions are met, and can also be summoned directly. See the Exterminator trophy.
  • Lava Slime: Spawns in The Underworld.
  • Mother Slime: Spawns in the Cavern layer. Spawns three Baby Slimes when killed.
  • Pinky: Very rarely spawns in the Forest biome on the surface, and in the Underground and Cavern layers.
  • Purple Slime: Rarely spawns on the surface.
  • Red Slime: Spawns in the Underground layer.
  • Spiked Ice Slime: Spawns in the Underground Snow biome.
  • Spiked Jungle Slime: Spawns in the Underground Jungle biome.
  • Umbrella Slime: Only spawns during rain.
  • Yellow Slime: Spawns in the Underground layer.

Hard Mode:

  • Corrupt Slime: Spawns in Corruption biomes. Spawns three Slimelings when killed. Looks very similar to Shadow Slimes.
  • Crimslime: Spawns in Crimson biomes.
  • Illuminant Slime: Spawns in the Underground Hallow biome.
  • Rainbow Slime: Very rarely spawns during rain on non-Hallow blocks while the player is in the Hallow. Due to the strange spawning conditions it is recommended to search for it in a Hallow area that is close to another biome.
  • Shadow Slime: Spawns in Corruption biomes. Spawns three Slimelings when killed. Looks very similar to Corrupt Slimes.
  • Slimeling: Immediately spawns when a Corrupt Slime or Shadow Slime is killed.
  • Slimer: Spawns in Corruption biomes.
  • Toxic Sludge: Spawns in the Underground and Cavern layer.

Visit the official Terraria wiki for more details on each slime: Slime - Official Terraria Wiki

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/910.jpg Challenge Accepted (G)

You have unlocked Hard Mode!

Once you have defeated The Wall of Flesh in your world, it will automatically convert to Hard Mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/FC9.jpg Maxed Out (S)

You have the maximum health and mana!

You will need to collect fallen stars at night and life crystals which are located underground. Items that add to your mana do not count towards the trophy. 10 fallen stars can be crafted into a mana crystal which will give you an extra 20 mana. You need to get a total of 100 fallen stars to increase your mana to a maximum of 200. For health you need to collect 15 life crystals to reach a max health of 400.

On top of collecting fallen stars and life crystals, you will also have to collect Life Fruit to get your heath to a maximum of 500. This will turn your hearts golden. Life Fruits spawn rarely on any Jungle grass block, or in Jungle Pots. You can use a Spelunker Potion to help making it easier to find them, since they will glow.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/570.jpg Corruptible (S)

Your World is Corrupt!

Each world will always naturally spawn with either the Corruption (purple) or the Crimson (red) but not both of them. To earn this trophy you need to spread either one of them so that 50% of the world is covered. The Dryad NPC can tell you the percentage.

It is highly recommended to create a new small world that is solely used for the purpose of obtaining this trophy. It's also best to wait with trying to obtain this trophy until you have obtained the Clentaminator and enough ammo of the right type from the Steampunker NPC. Note that the Steampunker NPC only sells ammo for the biome that naturally occurs in the world so plan ahead.

Step 1:

To start with, prepare a grid of hellevators and tunnels that cover the entire map below the surface. Use the Clentaminator with either Purple or Red Solution as the ammo depending on if you want to spread the Corruption or Crimson then start spraying away.

Step 2:

The next step is to mine away as much as possible of everything that can't be corrupted. Loading up on Dynamite is the fastest way to do this and a good pickaxe is also a must have. Removing blocks that can't be corrupted is much more efficient than adding corrupted blocks.

Step 3:

Kill the Wall of Flesh when you're ready to trigger Hard Mode and make the corruption spread faster. Immediately look at your map and make note of where the Hallow has spread. The task now is to contain the Hallow by using the Clentaminator and to eventually convert it entirely. Having a grid-like structure of tunnels as was suggested in step 1 will make this much easier.

Step 4:

Either wait until the Corruption or Crimson spreads itself naturally, or help out by using the Clentaminator and mining away blocks that can't be corrupted. Do not kill any Hard Mode bosses since that will make the spread slow down. The trophy will unlock once 50% of the world has become corrupted.

The easiest way by far to get this trophy is to get invited to a world that is already 50% corrupt. You will usually need to spend 10-20 minutes in the world before the trophy unlocks so don't worry if it doesn't unlock immediately.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/7AA.jpg Hallowed Be Thy Name (S)

Your World is Hallowed!

The strategy for obtaining this trophy is pretty much the same as the one for the Corruptible trophy, except you need to get your world 50% Hallow instead. The Hallow is spread with Blue Solution which the Steampunker NPC only sells while in the Hallow.

You have defeated the Goblin Army!

To summon the Goblin Army you must use a Goblin Battle Standard, which requires the Loom, (10) Tattered Cloth and (5) Wood to craft. Only use it if you have 200+ health, else you will waste the item and the Army will not be summoned.

There is a chance that they'll spawn at dawn if you meet these requirements: One person in the game must have 200+ health, smashed at least one shadow orb and has not had a previous invasion within 7 in-game days. Before the Goblin Army attacks, you'll see the message "A Goblin Army is approaching from the [east/west]". They will travel to your original spawn point on the map.

There are multiple ways to achieve this. You can take any type of block and build straight up using one wood platform on the side to climb or use a grappling hook instead of platforms. You can also use a Gravitation Potion. The smaller the map the faster you'll reach it.

Once you hit the very top of the world, the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/EFE.jpg Vanity of Vanities (B)

Wear a full set of vanity clothes.

Put something in all three vanity slots. It does not matter what you put there.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/282.jpg Pet Hoarder (S)

Find ALL the pets.

(Collectible)

There are 27 pets in the game but only 24 of those are required for this trophy. The pets summoned by the Dog Whistle, Magical Pumpkin Seed and Unlucky Yarn are not required. Finding the pet items is not enough as you also have to summon the pets at least once. It's recommended to wait a few seconds in between summoning the pets since it has been reported that this trophy is a bit glitchy.

Below is a list of the 24 pet items that need to be collected and used:

Pre-Hard Mode:

  • Amber Mosquito: Rarely obtained from the Extractinator.
  • Beeswax: Note that this item was originally named Honeycomb but the name was changed in the 1.02 patch. Found in chests in the Underground Jungle and can also be dropped by Dragon Hornets (Underground Jungle).
  • Bone Key: Random drop from the Dungeon Guardian which shows up when you try to enter the Dungeon without killing Skeletron first.
  • Brain: Randomly found in Gold Chests and Shadow Chests. Since the 1.02 patch it can also be found in Lihzahrd Chests (Jungle Temple) and is dropped by The Groom (only spawns during Blood Moon events).
  • Cabbage: Randomly found in Chests and Gold Chests. Since the 1.02 patch it can also be dropped by Dragon Snatchers (Jungle).
  • Eater's Bone Random drop from Eater of Worlds.
  • Fish: Randomly found inside Ice Chests (Underground Snow).
  • Nectar: Random drop from Queen Bee.
  • Petri Dish: Randomly found in Gold and Ice Chests, and can also dropped by Shadow Slimes (Corruption biomes) during Hardmode.
  • Seaweed: Rarely found inside Ivy Chests in Jungle Shrines (Underground Jungle).
  • Vial of Blood: Randomly found in Gold Chests and can also be dropped by Vampire Miners (Cavern layer).
  • Tartar Sauce: Rarely obtained from Iron Crates (found by fishing).
  • Toy Sled: Random drop from Ice Mimics (Snow biomes).
  • Wolf Fang: Randomly found in Gold Chests and can also be dropped by Werewolves (only spawn during Full Moon events in Hardmode).
  • Zephyr Fish: Rare chance to catch while fishing. Increasing your fishing power will increase your chances of catching it. Using a Sonar Potion while fishing is highly recommended.

Hard Mode:

  • Baby Grinch Mischief's Whistle: Random drop from Ice Queens during the Frost Moon event.
  • Cursed Sapling: Random drop from Mourning Woods during the Pumpkin Moon event.
  • Eye Spring: Random drop from Eyezors that only spawn during a Solar Eclipse (Hardmode event).
  • Lizard Egg: Random drop from Flyings Snakes and Lihzarhds (Jungle Temple).
  • Parrot Cracker: Sold by the Pirate NPC when he is in an Ocean biome.
  • Seedling: Random drop from Plantera.
  • Spider Egg: Random drop from Pumpkings during the Pumpkin Moon event.
  • Strange Glowing Mushroom: Sold by the Truffle NPC.
  • Tiki Totem: Sold by the Witch Doctor NPC when he is in a Jungle biome during Hardmode.

Use 5 different potion buffs and have them active at the same time. Anything will work, except health potions.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/D1A.jpg Airtime! (B)

Enjoy the view.

This is accumulative over time. You must spend a certain amount of time in the air by jumping, free falling or using a Gravitation Potion.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/5E6.jpg Blacksmith (S)

Craft 300 items at an anvil!

Self-explanatory. You need to make 300 items using the Iron and/or Mythril Anvil. If you have your world marked for online, it will track your progress on the leaderboards.

You can use the strategy in I'm Smelting! if you want to get this out of the way quickly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/2EB.jpg I'm Smelting! (S)

You have smelted 10,000 bars of metal!

Self-explanatory. You need to smelt enough pieces of ore into 10,000 bars of metal using the Furance, Hellforge or Adamantite Forge. If you have your world marked for online, it will track your progress on the leaderboards.

The quickest strategy is to gather a good amount of ore and turn off auto save in the main menu. Smelt all the ore and then after you're done, exit out to the main menu without saving, then go back in and smelt the ore all over again and keep doing that process until the trophy unlocks.

You have placed 100 wires!

You will need access to the Mechanic NPC. View her wares; purchase a Wrench and 100 Wire. Start placing the wires anywhere until you have used 100 pieces.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/E23.jpg Red Moon Rises (B)

You have survived the Blood Moon!

You must have over 120 (7 or more hearts) life for the Blood Moon to rise. This is a random event and you will be notified when the Blood Moon rises by text on the bottom of your screen.

It does not matter if you die during the night as that won't affect the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1720/42E.jpg Crafty (S)

You have used every crafting station!

In order to use a crafting station, you simply need to stand near it while having the crafting menu open on the screen. It is entirely possible to earn this trophy without having crafted a single item or without having had any of the ingredients necessary to make a single recipe. The only exceptions to this are the Campfire and Extractinator which aren't accessed through the crafting menu so you do need to interact with them in their own unique way.

Below is a list of all the 39 crafting stations that are required for this trophy. The names are listed exactly as they appear in the crafting menu (except for the Campfire and Extractinator). You can use either one in cases where two crafting stations share the same functionality.

Pre-Hard Mode:

No crafting menu:

  • Campfire (hold a Marshmellow on a Stick over the Campfire to make a Cooked Marshmellow)
  • Extractinator (place Silt or Slush Blocks over its frame in order to convert them to random items)

Basic:

  • Anvil (either one of the Iron Anvil and Lead Anvil)
  • Bottle (any kind of bottle placed on a flat furniture item such as a table)
  • Cooking Pot (either one of the Cooking Pot and Cauldron)
  • Demon Altar / Crimson Altar (either one)
  • Dye Vat
  • Furnace
  • Heavy Work Bench
  • Hellforge
  • Imbuing Station
  • Keg
  • Loom
  • Sawmill
  • Table & Chair
  • Tinkerer's Workshop
  • Work Bench
  • Work Bench & Chair

Themed furniture:

  • Bone Welder
  • Glass Kiln
  • Honey Dispenser
  • Ice Machine
  • Living Loom
  • Sky Mill
  • Solidifier

Liquids:

  • Honey
  • Water

Hard Mode:

Basic:

  • Adamantite Forge / Titanium Forge (either one)
  • Autohammer
  • Bookcase
  • Blend-O-Matic
  • Crystal Ball
  • Meat Grinder
  • Mythril Anvil/Orichalcum Anvil (either one)

Themed furniture:

  • Steampunk Boiler
  • Flesh Cloning Vat
  • Lihzahrd Furnace

Liquids:

  • Crystal Ball & Lava (place a Crystal Ball near lava)
  • Crystal Ball & Water (place a Crystal Ball near water)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/3A0.jpg To Hell and Back (S)

You have gone to The Underworld and back without dying!

When you see the background with the cracks and lava in them and the music changes, then you have reached The Underworld. You need to make the journey from the surface to The Underworld and back without dying.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/EB9.jpg Back for Seconds (G)

You have defeated all the prime bosses twice.

You will need to face every prime boss twice except Ocram. Check out Exterminator for details on the bosses.

Here is a list of the bosses you must beat:

  • The Twins x2
  • The Destroyer x2
  • Skeletron Prime x2

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/81E.jpg Is This Heaven? (B)

You have found a floating island!

The easiest way to find a floating island is to make a hardcore character and kill them. They will then turn into a ghost and you can fly around and explore the whole map. Fly around the sky and find a floating island, then go back to your main character and make your way to the floating island.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/7B0.jpg Leap a tall building in a single bound (S)

Jump really, really high.

You will need the Spectre Boots and a set of wings. Once you have both equipped, simply jump as high in the air as you can.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/0C9.jpg Safe fall (S)

You have landed safely.

Easiest way to do this is in the tutorial. Find a high cliff (like the edge of the world) and jump off it. You do not sustain fall damage in the tutorial. You can also just dig a deep hole and jump down into it.

If you're in pre-hard mode or hard mode you can use any item that gives you double jump, this will allow you to jump off any high place and before you hit the ground, jump again. You will not take any damage. There are also items available that completely negate the fall damage.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/80B.jpg Hellevator (S)

Go from the surface to The Underworld in under a minute.

Build straight down to The Underworld. If you run into water or lava, you can reposition it by digging on the side of it so it will drain out of your way or using the bucket and move it somewhere else. Once you've made it all the way down to The Underworld, go back to the surface and go down the hole as fast as you can. This is best done on a small map and if you have the wings or another item to negate fall damage so you can fall without stopping. If not, you can make it with using wooden platforms all the way down.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/A40.jpg Gone in 60 seconds (B)

You ran continuously for 60 seconds!

I suggest obtaining this trophy in a large world. Just start clearing the land and make it flat and fill any gaps or holes in your way. It's best to do this during the daytime so there are fewer monsters to get in your way.

Once you're done, you will need to find a variation of the Hermes Boots. You can find them in a random chest. They give you the ability to run "super fast". The 60 seconds start counting once the extra speed boost kicks in from the boots.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/63A.jpg Appease the Volcano Gods (S)

You sacrificed The Guide in boiling hot magma!

Easiest method is when you eventually run into lava while making your way down to The Underworld, take a bucket and fill it up with lava. Then go back to the surface where the Guide is and dig hole under him or build around him so he can't move. Pour the lava in and wait for him to die.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/BFE.jpg Homicidal (S)

You killed The Guide, you maniac!

You will need the Guide Voodoo Doll. It’s dropped by a Voodoo Demon in The Underworld. Equip it in your accessory slot in order to kill him. He must die by you and not by monsters, or any other hazard. The Guide will always respawn if you have a room available for him.

Take care in killing the Voodoo Demon over lava. If he dies and drops the doll in the lava, it will automatically spawn The Wall of Flesh and kill the Guide.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1720/5CC.jpg Terraria Expert (B)

You have completed the tutorial!

Progress through the tutorial until you finish and the text box disappears. You will then have completed the tutorial.

Great guide.

I have one question

For "A Knight in Shining Armors"(S) - Do you need to make all the version (melee. range, and mage) of the hardmode armors set to make it count or just one per ore or recipe?

Like the description says, you need to craft all of the armour. So get hunting for those hardmode ores :)

Yeppers, it's all of them. Crafting them isn't actually that bad. Took me longer to get those damned miner pants for the trophy then it did crafting the final armor parts for everything.

Yeah, like other people have stated, you have to make/obtain every single set.

And I agree with LilCrimsonNemo. The hardest part will be getting the full mining set since it's hard to find the miners and even rarer for them to drop the pants or shirt.

lol They aren't hard to get, just needed the extra info.

Also do you always have to have them on you like in a safe, chest, or manniqaun or as long you just crafted it to make the armors count?

For some people it glitched, like many other trophies. So you might have to have every armor in your inventory at the same time for it to pop.
