Important Links Used In The Guide:

Introduction: Tekken Tag Tournament was released in arcades worldwide in 1999 and was released on PlayStation 2 in 2000. Finally, it came bundled in the Tekken: Hybrid package on PlayStation 3 in 2011. It is much different to other Tekken entries and many fans believe it to be the best of the series.

Tekken Tag Tournament HD comes with 36 trophies, and even new players could get them all in one day. Of course, if you have prior experience with Tekken Tag Tournament or even just Tekken in general, this'll be incredibly easy for you.

ROADMAP:-

I - Arcade Mode

If this is your first time playing Tekken Tag Tournament, you'll find in comparison to Tekken 6 (if you've played it) that Tekken Tag has a much more robust fighting system. Most noticably, it is a slower system, and this can be what most players will find will make the Platinum difficult.

As seen in the overview, it is possible to attain every Arcade Mode trophy in one go. However, I highly recommend two playthroughs; one based on getting the miscellaneous trophies on Normal Mode and the second playthrough solely dedicated to Eternal Champion.

Nonetheless, in Arcade Mode, try to get the various miscellaneous trophies available. You should unlock the following:

Great!

Tournament Champ

No Need for Help

What's My Name?

Eternal Champion

Flawless Victory

Safe!

It's a Bird, it's a Plane!

Alley-oop!

Judo Legend

II - Practice Mode

Head into Practice Mode. You'll only be here for a bare minimum of 10 minutes. Try getting the simple trophies listed here. None should pose any difficulty, check under the respective trophies for details:

Watch Your Back

Juggernaut

Serious Damage

III - The Multiple Extra Modes

This is Team Battle, Versus, Time Attack and Survival, which are the multiple extra modes. The bulk of your trophy hunting will happen here, and some trophies (most notably, OOHRAAAH and Chicken!) will pose problems to new players of the franchise.

More explanation under the corresponding trophies:

Chicken!

Beyond Perfection

Counter Master

Escape Artist

One Man Army

All or Nothing

Cat-like Reflexes

Gold Tetsu

Saw it Comin'!

I Believe I Can Fly

Made for Each Other

Team Player

The A Team

Staying Power

Land Speed Record

OOHRAAAH

IV - Tekken Bowl

This mode requires practice and skill. Tekken Bowl is a fun mini-game loved by Tekken fans; but the trophies are no easy task, especially for newcomers. Again, further information under the listed trophies:

Throwing Rocks!

STRIKE!

Doctor B!

TURKEY!

King of Iron Fist

Conclusion:

A very easy Platinum. Practice is the only thing needed, and a small bit of patience. Anyways, let’s move onto the actual trophy guide!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/E00.jpg STRIKE! (B)

Achieve a Strike in Tekken Bowl.

This should come relatively naturally when you’re going for the other Tekken Bowl trophies, but if you’re really stuck and can’t get a strike do as follows: Pick any of the Jacks (Jack-2, P. Jack, or Gun Jack). Even though their moves’ speed are very fast, you’re almost guaranteed a strike. Keep trying with these guys and a strike should come.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/99B.jpg No Need for Help (B)

Perform a tag change between Kazuya and Devil.

This is a quick and easy Bronze trophy. Go into Arcade, choose Kazuya as your first option and Devil as your second. Once in a match, simply tag out (press a shoulder button) and instead of the usual character-run-out-character-run-in sequence, Kazuya will quickly transform into Devil. Bronze unlocked.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/D3C.jpg Tournament Champ (B)

Clear Arcade on Normal or higher difficulty.

If you’ve got a character you’re good at, this trophy should come naturally during a play through of Arcade. If not, and you’re having a nasty time (which you shouldn’t, as Normal Arcade is pretty easy), pick Paul and spam his Burning Fist move, which is used with the commands http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/ED5.jpg Doctor B! (B)

K.O. an onlooker in Tekken Bowl.

The onlooker you’re aiming for is Doctor Bosconovitch. He is clearly noticeable as he is wearing a white lab coat to the left of the bowling pins. Simply choose any character. Press :cross: and instead of aiming the cursor, move the screen left so Doctor Bosconovitch is directly in front of you. Throw the ball as centre as possible and, if successful, K.O will be pointing left and the commentator will say it as well. The trophy should then click.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/C31.jpg Counter Master (B)

Perform 25 Attack Reversals.

Ah, attack reversals. We’ll encounter more of these with the only slightly difficult trophy in this game. Head into VS Mode, and *hopefully* you’ll have a second controller and *hopefully* another person to use it. I’m not exactly sure of the characters who can do reversals (there’s only a selected few) so pick Nina for safety’s sake. Get the second player to input :square: at you, then, in the short time frame you have, press http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :cross:. If successful, Nina will grab their arm and seem to snap it. That’s a reversal. Repeat 25 times over.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/847.jpg Team Player (B)

Defeat 5 teams in Team Battle.

This mode is quite enjoyable so should come naturally if you play this mode regularly. If not, set a team of your best characters (or at least, characters you know a combo or two of) and play matches of 8, for safety's sake (I played in teams of 2 to speed the process, but the trophy did not unlock for me, strangely). After 5 of these, the trophy will soon unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/173.jpg Staying Power (B)

Achieve 10 consecutive wins in Survival.

In Survival mode, you play matches continuously until your health is completely depleted. It’s not as bad as it sounds, a fraction of your health replenishes after each separate battle. Pick two good characters and 10 matches should fly. If you’re having trouble, spam Paul’s Burning Fist move (http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:) and pick a strong character for back-up and you should get there.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/BAF.jpg Land Speed Record (B)

Clear Time Attack in under 09'00"00.

Please read the OOHRAAAH trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/1FF.jpg Escape Artist (B)

Successfully escape 5 throws.

Easy enough, once you have a second controller. Do this in VS Mode. When the opponent attempts a grab (either :square: :cross: or :circle: :triangle:), press the exact same buttons. If successful, your character, once grabbed, will push them off. Do this a measly 5 times and this trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/7DE.jpg Safe! (B)

Perform 10 Sliding Dashes.

Sliding dashes are simple feats. All you must do is go into Practice Mode. Select any character you like, let’s pick Jin. Keep moving back until you hit the level wall, then make a dash for them. When you’re relatively close, hit the :circle: button and the character should slide under the opponent. It’s pretty simple. Rinse ‘n’ repeat 10 times.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/B3E.jpg It's a Bird, it's a Plane! (B)

Perform 10 Running Cross Chops.

Another easy Bronze. Head into Practice Mode and choose Xiayou. I did it with her, there are definitely other characters who can do this, but she’s the only one I know of. Back up all the way to the level wall then run towards the opponent and press :square: :triangle:. Xiayou should jump and do a roll, knocking the opponent away. Repeat this 10 times and the trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/C77.jpg Alley-oop! (B)

Perform 20 Tag Combos.

This is a tiny bit more complicated but still of low difficulty. There’s a big variety of launchers in this game but forums (and myself) agree this is the easiest. Pick Heihachi and Jin. Press http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR, http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR :triangle: then tag Jin in and press http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR, http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR :triangle:. Repeat 20 times for this Bronze trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/AAC.jpg Didn't Break a Sweat! (B)

Achieve 10 perfect victories.

Please read the Beyond Perfection trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/A49.jpg Great! (B)

Win a match with less than 5% health.

Without a second controller you’ll have minor difficulty with this. If you have a second controller, switch it on, head into Versus Mode and use the second controller to beat up your character until they have only a sliver of health left. Then take place of the beaten-up character and, in return, beat up the second controller-player to death. This trophy should then unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/8D0.jpg I Believe I Can Fly (B)

Damage opponent with P. Jack's Giant Foot Stomp while tagging in.

Head into Arcade, Versus, whatever and pick whatever first character you want with P. Jack as your second character. Switch out your first character immediately and just as they run out, press http://bit.ly/1QFszPh. If done correctly, P. Jack should land in, kicking the opponent (obviously, the oppenent must be pretty close). If done successfully, the trophy will unlock.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/BBF.jpg Saw it Comin'! (B)

Perform 10 Low Parries.

Low Parries aren’t hard (they only are if you don’t have a second controller!) Get a friend to take control of the second controller and get them to input http://bit.ly/1IcZtPa :square: (this is just an example). In return, as the attack is incoming, you press http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR. Opposite to blocking, it protects your character and leaves you at an advantage. Perform this 10 times.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/253.jpg Juggernaut (B)

Deal 10,000 total damage in Practice.

This isn’t hard at all. Go into Practice Mode with any character and start dealing out the damage (there’s a counter in the corner also, to keep track). This is cumulative over multiple sessions in Practice Mode so it must not all be done in one go.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/2FC.jpg Doormat (B)

Perform 10 Running Stomp attacks.

In Versus Mode, Arcade Mode, whatever you want, get the opponent (or, a second controller-player) to lie on the ground (tons of moves fall enemies; grabs most of the time do the best). Then, simply back up to the level wall and run towards the opponent, not stopping. The character should stamp on the opponent. Repeat this only 10 times for the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/DA6.jpg Cat-like Reflexes (B)

Escape Mounted Punches 5 times.

Mounted Punches are when the opponent is pinning you down and punching you in the face. Get a second controller to do this, then input the correct buttons in response to escape it. Let’s take the easiest example:

Controller One - Pick whatever character you want.

Controller Two - Pick Paul.

Controller Two starts with http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square:, :triangle:. If done correctly, Paul will have mounted the character. Now, have him start punching your character (preferably with the :triangle: button). Now, quickly press :square: with Controller One. Do this a measly five times.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/A3E.jpg What's My Name? (B)

Change Unknown's moveset 5 times in one match.

This is just too easy. Go into Arcade or Versus Mode. Pick Unknown as the first character and whoever you want as the second. Upon the beginning of the match, press the Tag-Out button (Tag-Out with :r3:). Switch Unknown back in. Her moves will be different. Do this 5 times!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/6C4.jpg Flawless Victory (S)

Clear Arcade on Normal or harder difficulty without using a single continue.

Very easy Silver trophy. Arcade Mode on Normal (which I think is the default difficulty, unless tweaked in the Options menu) is relatively easy in my opinion, so simply pick your best characters and enjoy the 8 levels! If you’re having trouble somehow, you can simply spam Paul’s Burning fist move (http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:), but no one should have to go to those lengths.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/E05.jpg All or Nothing (S)

Win a round with Yoshimitsu's Suicide technique.

Go into Versus Mode and if you have a second controller this makes the trophy slightly easier but it’s definitely not needed. If you do though, switch it on and head into Versus Mode. Now obviously you pick Yoshimitsu as the first character. Second character doesn’t matter, nor do the opponents. Once in, keep hitting the opponent ensuring they have a small amount of health left. Now to do his Suicide technique, press http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR:square: :circle:. If successful he'll use his sword, stab it into himself and if the opponent is relatively close, it'll stab them also. This is it. Make sure you don't lose all your health as well as that goes against the whole requirement of the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/876.jpg Watch Your Back (S)

Perform 5 back throws.

Head into Practice Mode with any characters. Since the opponent stays idle, simply rotate around them until you are standing as close as possible and right behind them. Now, just input any of the two grab moves (:square: :cross: or :circle: :triangle:). Back throws are much stronger grabs as they are harder to pull off against real moving opponents. Rinse and repeat.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/2E8.jpg Serious Damage (S)

Deal more than 60 damage with a single combo in Practice.

There are many ways to do this and if you're proficient with any character then you should be able to get this regardless, however an excellent strategy found by Kniffin is as follows:

Just pick Ogre in Practice Mode and perform his Demented Snake combo (while crouching - :cross:, :cross:, :cross:). Make sure you're not holding down after you press :cross: the first time. The third hit will pop your opponent into the air. Use Demented Snake again to juggle 3 more hits and you'll do 86 damage. Should pop up immediately.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/260.jpg Made for Each Other (S)

Perform a Special Tag Throw.

There are a load of Special Tag Throws in Tekken Tag Tournament but this is the easiest. Pick King and Armour King in the aforementioned order in Practice Mode and press http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle: and tag. Armour King will tag in after the move with a suplex.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/0F8.jpg The A Team (S)

Win an 8 character Team Battle match on Hard or higher difficulty.

Pick Hard and head into Team Battle. Primarily, people would tend to go for the strongest characters in the game (Heihachi, Jin, Paul, Law, the variations of Jack, etc.), so if you so wish to do that, feel free. I used my best characters (Nina, Xiayou, etc.) and if you have characters you are particularly good at, use them! If you do though, have a few strong characters for back-up just in case. Once again if any problems occur, you can use Paul’s Burning Fist (http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:). This should get you through a fair chunk of the battles with a high amount of health left over.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/DE2.jpg Eternal Champion (G)

Clear Arcade on the hardest difficulty.

Although clearing Arcade on the hardest difficulty may be daunting at first with the correct combinations of characters and utilising their combos well it is much easier than you'd think. The enemies use more dangerous combos and activate throws more often. If you can do this with your best characters, go ahead and do it but if you’re experiencing trouble use Paul’s Burning Fist (http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:), with a strong character in back-up.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/5DE.jpg OOHRAAAH (G)

Clear Time Attack in under 06'00"00.

Time Attack is one of the modes of Tekken Tag Tournament HD in which you must complete Arcade Mode in a certain time limit. For fighting game veterans this shouldn't pose too much problems however for new players this could be quite difficult. If trouble arises, spam Paul's Burning Fist (http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :square: :triangle:). This could be the move that helps you just to scrap by however if you still find difficulty in this mode, check this method, found by Binks:

Another very easy method:

Use Wang (the oldest guy!).

At start, juggle with the Force Kick (:right: + :circle:) and then immediately follow with the unblockable Indigo Punch (:left: + :square: + :triangle:)

I've managed to do 04:19 on first try! What make it easier with this character for beginners is that the moves are really easy to pull out.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/E90.jpg Throwing Rocks! (G)

Achieve a score of 200 or more in Tekken Bowl.

This can be quite difficult and may require a few tries but it is very well achievable. At least 5 strikes are required for this trophy. Have a good back-up character in case you do not get a strike (Bryan is a good example). The variation of Jacks are a bit too overpowered, but can work. Alternatively, you could use a very helpful tip in a video given to me by Kildot:

[ame]

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/E0F.jpg Gold Tetsu (G)

Achieve 10 consecutive wins in VS Battle with Tetsujin on your team.

This is the easiest gold trophy in the game. Go into Versus Mode and highlight Mokujin but do not choose him. Press :square: over his name and it’ll activate Tetsujin, with a second character of your choice. Now simply win 10 times to unlock this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/C54.jpg Judo Legend (S)(H)

Perform 30 Ukemi techniques.

This is among one of the easiest trophies in the game. I got this during my first few minutes of playing the game and wasn't even thinking about it. Press any button when falling to the floor from an attack and you'll either roll closer/further from the opponent or get up and attack (roll by either http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q or http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR). This is an Ukemi, perform it 30 times to get the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/729.jpg One Man Army (S)(H)

Win 10 rounds without tagging.

This may or may not come naturally, depending on how the tides of the battles turn. Go into Arcade or Versus Mode and while in battle, do not touch the shoulder buttons (these buttons trigger the Tag-Out move). Winning a round without Tagging will add towards the trophy. It is cumulative so it does not have to be earned all in one playthrough.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/535.jpg TURKEY! (S)(H)

Achieve 3 consecutive strikes in Tekken Bowl.

This could be hard for some but relatively easy for others. To achieve this trophy, head into Tekken Bowl Mode and pick whichever characters you wish and try to land as many Strikes as possible. If you're having trouble, I recommend any of the variations of Jack because, although their throws are overpowered, they almost always land Strikes. Just try to centre the throw as much as possible.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/A65.jpg Beyond Perfection (S)(H)

Achieve 30 perfect victories.

Switch on a second controller, head into Versus Mode and beat up the lifeless opponent, ensuring your health bar remains intact. Do this 30 times. When you reach the 10 perfect victories mark, you will unlock the Didn't Break A Sweat! trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/7F4.jpg Chicken! (G)(H)

Successfully reverse an Attack Reversal.

An attack reversal (detailed under Counter Master) must be countered a second time. This is the only trophy in the game that pose quite a bit of difficulty if you haven’t a second controller. Anyway, here's a strategy:

  • 1st Controller - Bryan
  • 2nd Controller - Jin

  1. Controller 1 - Press :square:.
  2. Controller 2 - Reverses this by pressing http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q :cross: :square:
  3. Controller 1 - Reverses this reversal by pressing http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR :cross: :square:

The time frame to input the buttons in response is very slim, so be alert. Once you get the idea you can earn it relatively quickly, it’s easier to execute than people make out.

However, if you are still experiencing problems earning this trophy, here's a simplified method, credit to Se7en0ps:

I came up with a much, much easier method to do it on your own.

1 - Press the ''start'' button during a VS fight.

2 - Go to ''controller setup''

3 - Under the 1st player's macros, set the '':l1:'' button to become ''LP+LK'', then '':l2:'' to become ''LP'' (the equivalent of your square button).

4 - Under the 2nd player's macros, set the '':l1:'' button to become ''LP+LK''.

RESUME FIGHT

Then, the steps are as you know them but all the buttons will become much more accessible. Using the D-pad, you'll have to do:

(1st player) :l2:

(2nd player) Backward + :l1:

(1st player) Forward + :l1:

Enjoy that super easy gold!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1085/133.jpg King of Iron Fist (P)(H)

Master of all.

Acquire all the other trophies to obtain this one.

Throwing Rocks!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Achieve a score of 200 or more in Tekken Bowl.

This can be quite difficult and I required a few tries to get it, but it is very well achievable. I used Heihachi. He is superb when it comes to Strikes and you’ll need a lot of them to reach 200 points. At least 5 strikes are required for this trophy. Have a good back-up character in case you do not get a strike like Bryan or someone. The variation of Jacks are a bit too overpowered, but still you can get strikes with the Jacks a bit easier than average characters. Experiment and keep Heihachi as choice number one.

True, but P. Jack was the one who helped me earn this. Managed 6 strikes in a row. Step a little to the right, spin meter in the middle, and power meter 50-70%.

What's My Name?http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Change Unknown's moveset 5 times in one match.

This is just too easy. Go into Arcade or Versus Mode. Pick Unknown as the first character and whoever you want as the second. Upon the beginning of the match, press the Tag-Out button (shoulder buttons). Switch Unknown back in. Her moves will be different. Do this 5 times!

No no, simply click :r3: five times.

Press :lsright: + :lsright: + :triangle: then tag Jin in and press :lsright: + :lsright: + :triangle:. Repeat 20 times for this Bronze trophy.

:right:,:right: + :triangle: is better and more consistent with the guide.

OOHRAAH

Throwing Rocks

And I've no ideia I'm going to do them...

You say to spam the burning fist, but you forget they also attack and move...

For OOHRAAH:

You Mean The Opponent Attack And Move?

Yes, Of Course, There's No Stopping That.

But, Although Paul's Burning Fist Takes A Good Few Seconds To Execute (And You Can Easily Be Hit In That Time) It Pays Off As The Move Takes Well Over Half The Opponent's Health. I Do Agree That Opponents Can Disrupt The 'Charge' Beforehand, But I Didn't Have Any Trouble With It :]

While I Was Going For OOHRAAH, I Found The Opponents Never Attacked Me After I Executed Burning Fist. My Tactic In Every Round Was 'Burning Fist --> Opponent Is Blown Away --> Rush Up To Opponent Before They Get Up --> Burning Fist Again'. The Opponent Is Always Out For The Count, Before They Even Get A Chance To Tag Out.

For Turkey!:

The JACKS (Or Heihachi) Are Best For Consecutive Strikes, Of Course They Can Easily Miss During The Flow. That's With Any Character, Although They Could Be Great For Strikes They Can Easily Miss. The JACKS or Heihachi Are Simply The Best Recommendations!

For Throwing Rocks!:

I Can See Your Trouble. Honestly, I Found This Harder Than 'Chicken!'. Like Above, All I Can Recommend Is The JACKS Or Heihachi. With Some Good Patience, Timing (And A Little Luck) You Can Get There :)

MsFuruba, a lil suggestion, but could you maybe disable "Show your signature" for the first 3 or 4 posts?

Apologies, I Fixed The Signature :]

Really? I Tried With P. Jack Many Times Over (Doing Exactly What You Said) And I Managed Only About Two Or Three Strikes. With Heihachi, However, I Got As Much As Six Strikes Also.

Shoulder Buttons Are Tag Outs Also.

Sorry, I'll Fix That :)

ok... just OORAHH missing now :p

Paul doesn't work for me... I always get attacked first :S

Strange! Paul's 'Death Fist' Worked For Me First Try. Do Not Let The Opponent Tag Out. This Wastes Time, As You Have A New Health Bar To Deplete. You Have To Keep Trying With Paul. Characters Like Devil And Heihachi All Have Similar Strong Moves But They All Have 'Charge Time' Beforehand.

what's the Heihachi combo?

When I try Devil X-O Most of times he does sommersault kick.... or he just kick....

I did the 6:01 but now I just can't do lower then 6:45... I do most of them 30-40 seconds, but there are always 2 or 3 rounds that I lose like 1:30 or something... ffs
