Please Refer Immediately to the ジェントルマン撃破!(Gentleman Defeated!) trophy if you are planning to platinum Tales of Graces f. Introduction Tales of Graces f is the newest entry in the Tales of franchise. Based off of the original version, Tales of Graces for the Wii, Tales of Graces f expands upon the original by adding a 10 hour post-story arc, new artes, new skits, upgraded visuals, and much more. Although not planned for released outside of Japan, any dedicated Tales of fan will not want to miss this addition to the series. For anyone who has played Tales of Vesperia on either the Xbox 360 or the PS3, you may be worried about this game's trophy difficulty. Unlike Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces f has a fairly simple trophy list. If you can take around 10-15 hours of grinding, this is a very easy game to platinum. What will be needed to platinum involves completing the entire game, finishing all inn-requests (similar to sidequests), maxing your arles pot (which is around 10 hours of grinding), defeating most bosses under one minute, and gaining titles for all characters. Helpful Guides Since Tales of Graces f is an all-Japanese game, many of you may be worried about where to start. The following guides will aid you tremendously. Walkthrough (Includes all sidequests!) http://ameblo.jp/koulinovesperia/ ***Must now be purchased for $10 as he removed the guide*** English Wiki (Japanese Wiki recommended) http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Tales_of_Graces Japanese Wiki http://www23.atwiki.jp/talesofgracesf/ Japanese Wiki (Google Translated) http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww23.atwiki.jp%2Ftalesofgracesf%2F Alternate Japanese Wiki http://wiki.mmo-station.com/wiki/ps3togf/ Color Puzzle http://i.imgur.com/ptOxwh9.png How to Dualize Basics [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vS5IFuO2coc]YouTube - Tales of Graces - How to Dualize[/ame] credit to asndarknessdragon of youtube Getting Started Playthrough 1 Getting started involves playing the game, hopefully by following Kouli's guide at http://ameblo.jp/koulinovesperia/. Since his guide covers all side quests, you are actually able to achieve all trophies on your first playthrough. However, since you must complete the bonus dungeon, defeat most bosses in under one minute, as well as other special requests, it is highly recommended to wait until your second playthrough where you can use bonuses such as 10x damage, 10x EXP, and 6x SP to complete such tasks. Keep in mind that if you want to skip doing the request item sidequests on your first playthrough, you will not receive the grade that you may receive per sidquest, which is used to purchase the aforementioned bonuses such as 10x damage. Throughout the game, you will receive piece items (~ピース [#]) with which you can dualize your equipment. Please do not use these and save them for your second playthrough instead, since you cannot transfer equipment but can transfer piece items. Post-game Playthrough 1 After defeating the final boss, triggering the skit at the save point, and defeating the enemies at Lhant's mansion, you will now be able to access ゾーオンケイジ (Zoon Cage), the secret dungeon. It is here that you must bet expensive items to access each floor, where you will fight difficult enemies but gain rare items. On your first playthrough, I recommend only reaching floor 4 or 5. Although I am not sure if it carries over to a second playthrough, if you defeat the floor 4 boss and return to the Kamenin (かめにん)/Turtle People's HQ, you can receive the Kamenin Flute, which allows you to access the Kamenin shop from your inventory at any time. Once you feel ready to move on to the Future Arc, do so by accessing your completed game's save data after clicking on エクストラズ (Extras) at the main menu and then 未来への系譜編 (Future Arc). After completing the Future Arc and anything else you feel you have to do (such as completing the arles pot and gaining titles), start a new game with the grade you have earned under the エクストラズ (Extras) menu. There is a way to get an easy bonus 999 grade from a 999 hit combo to help you out for the next playthrough as well. Luckily, there is also a money glitch; you can use it to get infinite items which you can then sell to receive maxed stamps from every shop which will help out during your second playthrough. Also, make sure to use all herb items and SP bottles, as those will not transfer to your next playthrough, but herb effects and mastered title data will. iNf3Rn0 Lan
[continued] Playthrough 2 Your second playthrough will be much easier than your first, and surely much shorter as well. Hopefully you followed Kouli's guide, and have a fair amount of grade. The options that you may select for your second playthrough can be found here. At the grade shop menu, please select at least the following options: 称号 (Transfer titles - 30) エレスポット (Arles Pot - 70) (Comes with all grimoires and food items as well as materials) お得意様スタンプ (Transfer stamps - 30) 術技使用回数 (Artes' and other Counters - 50) ブック (Books - 10) 戦闘アイテム (Battle Items - 60) 欠片アイテム (Piece Items - 90) (This is VERY important, make sure to pick this one) 経験値2倍 (2x EXP - 90) 経験値5倍 (5x EXP - 400) (Stacks with 2x EXP) スキルポイント2倍 (2x SP - 200) ダメージ2倍 (2x Damage - 30) (2x Enemy Damage as well) ダメージ5倍 (5x Damage - 150) (Stacks with 2x Damage; makes the game very quick but difficult if you're hit; however, it will greatly reduce item-farming time; it will also help all 1 minute boss trophies become extremely easy) Highly Recommended Bonuses: 薬草成長 (Herb Stats - 70) スキルポイント3倍 (3x SP - 1000) (Stacks with 2x SP; expensive but worth it) いつか見たマスタリー (2x SP for Previously Mastered Titles - 20) アイテム入手率2倍 (2x Item Drop Rate - 120) (This helps when farming piece items) HP+1000 (Max HP +1000 - 150) (Helpful at the beginning) 魔法カルタ (Magic Carta Cards - 200) Please try to avoid taking ガルド (Gald), since it only transfers half for 270 grade and you can easily use the money glitch early on to make up for it. Also, for 10 grade you can skip the Childhood Arc (少年編スキップ), but there's a boss during it that you must defeat in under one minute for a trophy, so unless you did so during the first playthrough, make sure to not skip it. Now that you're on your second playthrough, follow Kouli's guide once again and do every sidequest again as well. The game will likely not take more than 10 hours on this playthrough if you got both 2x and 5x damage. As you progress throughout the game, make sure to gain all 1 minute boss trophies that you did not achieve during the first playthrough. As with the first playthrough, try to avoid dualzing weapons, as you will need all the pieces you have for later. If you're very confident if your weapon dualzing, feel free to do so, but for the average player, please keep your piece items until you're doing the inn requests. Make sure to do Frederic's Hankerchief request-item sidequest as soon as you can, since it will disappear after entering the final floor of the final dungeon. You may start the sidequest as soon as Hubert permanently joins your party, so please try to do it and turn it in to Lhant then. Although most people will do it automatically, do make sure to go to the Ruins under the Sand dungeon as stated in Kouli's guide. Com8pleting the dungeon in its entirety is an unlock condition for miscellaneous content scattered throughout the game, so it is mandatory to do so. The color puzzle is at the top of the roadmap for those having trouble. I recommend not moving the red, yellow, and blue pieces at the start until all other pieces have been put in their proper position to stop the puzzle from resetting itself under strange circumstances. Post-game Playthrough 2 Once again, trigger the chat at the save point and head to Lhant's mansion to unlock the Zoon Cage secret dungeon. Anyways, if you have not been doing so, now is a good time to turn in all inn request items you have earned through side quests. At this point, you now have a few options to do: -Defeat the Rock Gagan for if you did not do so during your first playthrough. Refer to "ロックガガン撃破!(Defeated Rock Gagan!)" for tips on beating him. -Complete the ゾーオンケージ (Zoon Cage) secret dungeon. Refer to "大煇星竜撃破!(Defeated Solomos!)" for more information on the Zoon Cage. -Complete all Inn Requests. This is by far the worst time you will have with the game. Please refer to "ジェントルマン撃破!(Gentleman Defeated!)" for all the information you'll need to complete the inn requests. -Defeat the final boss of the main story on セカンド (Second)、ハード (Hard)、イヴィル (Evil)、and カオス (Chaos) for a respective trophy for each. -Check all the other secret trophies in this guide to find out how to unlock them and what you must do first! Conclusion: Tales of Graces f is overall an easy platinum, but will require effort and dedication nontheless. Any Tales of fan will enjoy this game and many will want to platinum it, so with this guide I hope I can share the techniques I used to make this game an even easier platinum than it seemed before! There's still a long way to go.) Every character has a trophy for learning 20, 50, and 100 titles (also known as "Alias" in-game) respectively (Richard excluded; his final trophy is learned at 80 titles). In order to obtain titles, there are countless different tasks you must perform. They include: -Storyline Progression -Leveling up -Using Artes and Burstes a number of times; there are 2 titles per arte and per burste -Character Specific challenges -Sidequests -Many other methods If you're looking to get your title trophies as soon as possible, I would recommend grinding for the Artes and Burstes titles. If you return to the Back Hill of Lhant and use a ダークボトル (Dark Bottle), you can constantly fight low level respawning enemies. Edit your party's settings so that they do not attack and only heal. For a translation guide, use this thread on gamefaqs. Then, only use the arte or burste that has the title you are looking to get. While doing this, I recommend setting the difficulty to ハード (Hard) for 200 matches to unlock イヴィル (Evil), which you will then have to play 300 matches on イヴィル (Evil) to unlock カオス (Chaos). (Second Difficulty Cleared!) (Cleared the game on Second difficulty.) There are four difficulty-related trophies. In order to unlock them, you ONLY need to defeat the last boss of the main arc on the respective difficulty. Therefore, you can change your difficulty immediately before facing the last boss to unlock each trophy. Since they do not stack, you will have to fight the last boss four times. If you are having problems defeating the final boss on each difficulty, you may have a better chance waiting until you're on the second playthrough with 10x damage. This way, you will be able to defeat the final boss extremely quickly. However, if you are still having problems, you may want to wait until you're a high level after grinding in the secret dungeon to beat the final boss with ease. You may also consider spamming Asbel's Burste, 覇道滅封, learned from 英雄剣士 (title #30) which is unlocked at lv80, as it is an extremely powerful ranged attack. To unlock イヴィル (Evil) difficulty, you must play 200 battles on ハード (Hard) difficulty. To unlock カオス (Chaos) difficulty, you must play 300 battles on イヴィル (Evil) difficulty. You may grind these out in ラントの裏山 (Lhant Back Hill) to unlock it easier. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/01.jpg難易度ハードクリア!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png 難易度ハードでゲームクリア! Arles Pot EXP Chart: Arles Pot Energy / EXP per Energy Point 0000-0400 / 5 EXP per point 0400-2000 / 10 EXP per point 2000-9000 / 20 EXP per point 9000-9999 / 50 EXP per point To show how this works, let's use みそおでん (Miso Oden; 129 consumption; 94 EXP) as an example. Since your Arles Pot starts off with 300 energy, it only needs 5 EXP to gain another point. Enter a battle and after the fight, if you satisfy the condition to activate miso oden (have more than 50% Arles Pot Energy after battle in this case), miso oden will activate. Your Arles Pot Energy will drop by 129 (300-129 = 171 Energy left), however, your total will increase. Since miso oden gives 94 EXP, 94/5 = 18 r4, so your Arles Pot Max Energy will increase to 318. The remaining 4 left over still remains, so you only need 1 EXP to gain another energy point. Here's a list of all the items and grimoires to help you out: JP Wiki (English) JP Wiki (Japanese) Here's the list for Dualizing Food Items: JP Wiki (English) JP Wiki (Japanese) In order to maximize the capacity of the arles pot, you must activate food items during battle. In order to bring up your Arles Pot all the way to 9999, however, you may do one of two options (post-game recommended): 1) Go to ラントの裏山 (Lhant Back Hill), use a ダークボトル (Dark Bottle), and constantly kill enemies until your Arles Pot Energy drops to below half, then return to a city to recover your Arles Pot, バロニア (Balonia) recommended as its shop is extremely close to the shuttle spawn point. You will want the following equipped to your Arles Pot: -みそおでん (Miso Oden); Heals 94% HP after battle if Arles Pot Energy is above 50%; Arles Pot Cost = 129; Arles Pot EXP = 94 -大器の魔導書 (大器 Book of Magic); Doubles Enegry Consumption of Food Items; Increases Arles Pot EXP gained -満腹の魔導書 (Magic Book of Satiety); Allows two food items mid-battle to be used To create みそおでん (Miso Oden), first dualize ダイコン (Radish) and タマゴ (Egg) to make おでん (Oden). Then, combine おでん (Oden) and ミソ (Miso) to create みそおでん (Miso Oden). ミソ (Miso) can be found in one of the buildings in テロスアステュ (Telos Astue). You may add other items to help out Arles Pot EXP gain as well. However, that is the general idea on the Miso Oden method. 2) The "12-second Method" created by myself. This involves initiating battle with the ロックガガン (Rock Gagan), and getting around 120 EXP per 12 seconds without much interruption. To get started, you will need the following: -シェリア (Cheria) Narikiri Doll title for any character (can be unlocked in future arc) -ヴァーチュアスレイ (Virtuous Ray) Burste unlocked for シェリア (Cheria) To learn about how to get Narikiri Dolls and how to turn them into titles, read this thread on gamefaqs: Gamefaqs Narikiri Doll Discussion Thread As for the Arles Pot, please equip: -カニチャーハン (Crab Fried Rice; NOTE: I believe チャーハン is replaced with a kanji in-game); 40% HP Recovery; Activates 10 seconds into battle; Arles Pot Cost = 40; Arles Pot EXP = 38 -鱈のみそ焼き (Grilled Miso Cod); Heals 84% HP; Activates upon 40 hits combo; Arles Pot Cost = 128; Arles Pot EXP = 84 -ビーフカレー (Beef Curry); Revives Incapacitated Member with 70% HP; Activates upon party member death; Arles Pot Cost = 91; Arles Pot EXP = 7 -大器の魔導書 (大器 Book of Magic); Doubles Enegry Consumption of Food Items; Increases Arles Pot EXP gained -満腹の魔導書 (Magic Book of Satiety); Allows two food items mid-battle to be used [continued on next post] Edited January 25, 2011 by iNf3Rn0 Lan
iNf3Rn0 Lan
[Arles Pot Trophy continued] To get started, go to the ロックガガン (Rock Gagan). Turn the character you will play as into シェリア (Cheria) via the パーティー (Party) option in the menu, then press left until you're under the コスチューム (Costume) tab. There, scroll down to the シェリア (Cheria) costume. Your character will now become Cheria. Place yourself in P1's spot, and place the real Cheria in P2's place. Have アスベル (Asbel) and ソフィ (Sophie) as the other two characters in your party. Go into Cheria's Artes and Burstes option, and turn off EVERY arte and burste except ヴァーチュアスレイ (Virtuous Ray). Go to your own Burtes list and equip ヴァーチュアスレイ (Virtuous Ray). When pressing "X" at the cliff, pick the middle option, then the top option. You will engage combat with the ロックガガン (Rock Gagan). Now, run all the way back to the escape line. Begin casting ヴァーチュアスレイ (Virtuous Ray) and the other Cheria should as well. If all goes well, Asbel and Sophie should be trying to attack the Rock Gagan and both yours and the other Cheria's ヴァーチュアスレイ (Virtuous Ray) spell should hit the Rock Gagan. If both hit, that should equal 38 combo hits, as each Virtuous Ray hits 19 times. Asbel should hopefully be attacking, which will rise the combo to over 40, activating 鱈のみそ焼き (Grilled Miso Cod). If it happens to be 10 seconds exactly in and カニチャーハン (Crab Fried Rice) activates instead, allow Asbel or Sophie to hit the Rock Gagan once more after the message appears to activate the Grilled Miso Cod. Once it activates, push backwards to run from the battle. This should take no more than 15 seconds normally, and no more than 20 seconds on a bad run. Make sure that you are P1 and run all the way back, and the other Cheria is P2, as these two spots are safe from all but one or two of the Rock Gagan's attacks. Just dodge if he is about to attack you. If someone on your party dies or the other Cheria is stupid and decides to run up to attack and gets face-pwned, ビーフカレー (Beef Curry) will revive them. Wait for カニチャーハン (Crab Fried Rice) to activate at the 10 second mark and run from the battle. Either method involves a lot of grinding, but you are bound to reach the 9999 mark eventually. This took me around 6-8 hours. For many, it is simply easier to abuse the 10x damage from the grade shop, allowing no strategy to be required in order to receive each and every minute trophy. (Defeated the monstrous creature, the Rock Gagan!) In order to defeat the ロックガガン (Rock Gagan), you should be high leveled, presumably above lv80. Although you can easily do this on your second playthrough, you may be surprised to find that this is also very possible on your first playthrough. If you're on your first playthrough, I recommend you change your difficulty to シンプル (Simple). Make a party of characters that can use ranged attacks and a healer, including Asbel if he has the burste, 覇道滅封, learned from 英雄剣士 (title #30) which is unlocked at lv80. Keep everyone far away from the Rock Gagan and only use your ranged attacks; avoid closing in as much as possible. When the Rock Gagan attacks, try to dodge as much as possible, as it is possible to be the only member left alive if the AI is stupid and closes in too much. Also, there is an attack where the Rock Gagan opens his mouth widely and then eats one of your party members. If you are not blocking this attack and are up-close, you will instantly die and that character will not be able to be revived during the fight. Also, if you have multiple controllers, you may consider manually placing your party members across the field and spamming a single burste from far away with each controller. To change other members to human players, go into the artes/burstes menu and push up. Then move right and left until the member is on セミオート (Semi Auto) or マニュアル (Manual) instead of オート (Auto), which causes the the AI to play. Alternatively, you could also set your right stick burstes to the other party members (you can select these by pressing start while in the artes/burstes menu), forcing them to use the selected burstes. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/02.jpg伝説の3人撃破!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png ヴェイグ・リアラ・コハクの3人を撃破! (Defeated the Legendary Three!) (Defeated Veigue, Liara, and Kohaku!) I recommend doing this trophy on your second playthrough, as you will have to play through the secret dungeon. In order to face the Legendary Three (Veigue, Liara, and Kohaku), you must first complete the first nine floors in the secret dungeon, ゾーオンケイジ (Zoon Cage). After defeating all nine floors, head to 闘技島 (Arena Island/Riot Peak). There, complete all the floors in the normal class if you have not done so. This will unlock the マスタリー (Mastery) class. In the mastery class, you will have to go through all original 6 floors, but this time you will have to swap among your six party members per floor. Again, if you are having trouble, feel free to lower the difficulty to シンプル (Simple). After clearing all 6 floors, you would normally face Veigue alone, but after defeating the first nine floors of the secret dungeon, you will instead face Veigue, Liara, and Kohaku together with your party of four. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/02.jpg大煇星竜撃破!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png ゾーオンケイジの主、大煇星竜を撃破! (Defeated Solomos!) (Defeated Solomos, legendary dragon of the Zoon Cage!) I highly recommend doing this trophy on your second playthrough, as this is the final boss of the secret Dungeon, the ゾーオンケイジ (Zoon Cage). Also, please watch the video posted in the roadmap on "How to Dualize" before reading this if you have little to no knowledge on dualizing weapons. In order to face Solomos, you must first have completed the first nine floors and bet an item of at least 270000 points. The following may help with information on the Zoon Cage: JP Wiki (English) JP Wiki (Japanese) The following may help with some nature information: JP Wiki (English) JP Wiki (Japanese) The way the natures page works is that the nature is the one in the left column. To make that nature, look at the right column. You will need a weapon or armor with one of the natures there and a piece with the other nature. When those two nature combine, they'll make the nature on the left. Natures #33-42 are bad natures, which you want to avoid. #43-54 are only available with one of the options found in the grade shop on the second playthrough; however, most give adverse effects so I did not put the option in the recommended section in the roadmap. If you would like it, it is called "Free Nature" according to the Atwiki Translation on the Grade Shop page. In order to access most floors up to 8, you should be able to dualize a レアソード (Rare Sword), which can be bought from the nearby Kamenin if you have enough stamps, with a ピース (Piece) item. Do not use piece items with a nature that hasexactly THREE KANJI in the top right corner in the description box; these are rare natured piece items and you will have to grind for these in order to complete all inn requests! Most pieces you use will increase the item's price value. However, the following will decrease its value! Please make sure to look at the top right in the description box when dualizing a weapon with a piece to make sure that the weapon that would be made does NOT have the following natures: なんでもない 平々凡々 気にならない どうでもいい 淡々 ふつう 地味 目立たない ものたりない 存在が空気 Those natures will reduce your item's value in half, which will make entering the coming floor very difficult. The following will greatly increase your item's value, but I recommend to not get these as you will need to use the piece items which make these natures for inn requests: ワンダフル ゴージャス デンジャラス ソウルフル ダンディ ハートフル [continued on next post] Edited January 25, 2011 by iNf3Rn0 Lan
iNf3Rn0 Lan
[Defeated Solomos! Trophy continued] Anyways, to access floor 10, I recommend dualizing a レアスタッフ (Rare Staff) with a 位高き結晶. You can make the 位高き結晶 via dualizing 朽ちた剣 and 粘土. Please save before the next part; I don't remember everything. You will get a ドリームフランジ (Dream Flange), which you can then dualize with a THREE KANJI-natured piece to get the デンジャラス (Dangerous) nature (Dangerous is needed for an inn request later; please do obtain that nature). Place Pascal in your party and have her equip the Dream Flange. Play some battles until the notification appears about your weapon being ready for re-dualizing. It will then appear orange. Return to the Zoon Cage and Floor 10 should be open. If Floor 10 is NOT open, please reload your save and re-dualize the Dream Flange but with a different piece that will still be able to obtain the Dangerous nature later! Anyways, save before entering the final floor. Bet your ドリームフランジ (Dream Flange) (Make sure to un-equip from Pascal!) and enter in the 10th and final floor. Since this floor is very difficult compared to those prior, you may want to consider dropping the difficulty to シンプル (Simple). If you die, make sure to reload your game so you can re-enter the floor, no matter how far you were in so that you can keep your Dream Flange and enter again. Anyways, once you reach Solomos, make sure to change the difficulty to シンプル (Simple). This will allow you to defeat an otherwise very troublesome boss with ease. After defeating Solomos, you will get your trophy and keep your Dream Flange, which will be used in an Inn Request later on. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/02.jpgラムダ・テオス撃破!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png 真の力を得た、ラムダ・テオス撃破! (Defeated Lambda Teos!) (Obtained true power through defeating Lambda Teos!) To face ラムダ・テオス (Lambda Teos), you must have defeated Solomos in the ゾーオンケイジ (Zoon Cage) as well as defeated the three great dragons. The three great dragons can be found at each of the Balkines Cryas crystals. They are located in バロニア (Balonia), フェンデル氷山遺跡 (Fendel Frost Ruins), and ストラタ砂漠遺跡 (Strahta Desert Ruins). To fight them, press "X" on the star near each Balkines Cryas and pick the bottom option and then the top option (I think!). Since you only need to fight these on the same playthrough as the one where you complete the Zoon Cage, I recommend not fighting them unless you're on your second playthrough. After defeating the great dragons along with Solomos, return to the bottom floor of the ガルディアシャフト (Ghardia Shaft) and face the last boss again. You will now fight ラムダ・テオス (Lambda Teos) during the second phase of the fight. Lower the difficulty again if necessary, but you shouldn't have any problem with high-leveled characters that took on Solomos. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/02.jpgポリュカルポス1分撃破!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png 遺跡のガーディアンを1分以内で撃破! iNf3Rn0 Lan
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/535/02.jpgジェントルマン撃破!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png 紳士撃破! (Gentleman Defeated!) (Defeated the gentleman through completing all inn requests!) Please be on your second playthrough for this trophy, as you will need to obtain the majority of the other trophies in the game, as well as spend a lot of time grinding which can be reduced with bonus damage. Gentleman Defeated! is easily the most time-consuming and annoying trophy in this game, as you will have to complete every single inn request. To start, please watch the video on "How to Dualize" which is posted in the roadmap. It will help out immensely. Anyways, here are all the things you will need to get through the hell in this trophy: Inn Request Guide (English) Inn Request Guide (Japanse) Dualized Materials (English) Dualized Materials (Japanese) Dualized Food Items (English) Dualized Food Items (Japanese) Common Materials (English) Common Materials (Japanese) Piece Nature Locations (English) Piece Nature Locations (Japanese) Natures (English) Natures (Japanese) Some people have also recommended the following site as they found it more helpful than the Atwiki that I have been providing, so use this to your knowledge: mmo-station To start, make sure you have all shops maxed out in stamps (or at least to level 10) via the money glitch. Once they're all maxed, go from town to town (including ねこにんの村 (Katz Village), which you can go to by giving all the cats fish items and then talking to them after all have been fed) and turn in inn requests with items you currently have. Not all requests appear at the start. Continue turning in all request items to all inns. You should have no problem with any side-quest request items if you followed Kouli's guide. If there's a regular item you have to turn in, consult the Dualized Materials link and use ctrl+f accordingly. If you're unfortunate enough to not have the item in the Dualized Materials link, use the Common Materials link. If you're extremely unlucky and the item you need doesn't have its location, it's probably an enemy drop. You will have to look through your monster book appropriately until you find the required item, then go find that monster and kill them until you get the item you need. Eventually, you will need to turn in weapons. This is the frustrating part. Weapons need natures... please open the natures link if you have little to no knowledge of natures. The way the natures page works is that the nature is the one in the left column. These are not needed for inn requests. So, let's say you need バトルソード (Battle Sword) with the 堅苦しい nature. Luckily enough, all inn request items are only one ピース (Piece) away! This means that you will only have to add one piece item to get the element that you need for the inn request. In our case, since the Battle sword starts off with the 豪快 nature when purchased from a shop, the natures page tells me that I need a piece item with the 古風 nature in order to get the 堅苦しい. Once we dualize the Battle Sword with the 古風 nature, the Battle Sword will then become Battle Sword +1 with the 堅苦しい nature. We can now turn it in immediately and finish the request! Later on, you will begin to need more advanced weapons. You will need to dualize one weapon with a dualized material, which you will then have to use high tier piece items to get the nature you need. Natures are categorized by tiers. A tier must be dualized with another same tier in order to become a higher tier. However, a tier may be dualized with a lower tier to go back down in tiers. If a tier is dualized with a higher tier, it will not change tiers. Keep in mind this is not always the case, as there are exceptions (especially for upgrading tiers; there are only certain natures that will combine with others to upgrade). General Tier List: Tier 1: Hiragana letters (ex: するどい, かたい) Tier 2: 2 Kanji (ex: 豪快, 上品) Tier 3: 2 Kanji + しい (ex: 禍々しい, 刺々しい) Tier 4: 3 Kanji (ex: 野性的, 紳士的) Tier 5: Katakana letters (ex: ワンダフル, ゴージャス) 2nd Playthrough only Grade Shop Purchased Tier 6: Tales Character Name +さ (ex: ウッドロウさ, ルークさ) Examples: Tier 1 + 1 = 2 Tier 2 + 1 = 1 Tier 2 + 3 = 2 Tier 3 + 3 = 4 Tier 5 + 2 = 2 Tier 1 + 5 = 1 There is also a tier of its own, which is basically the "fail" tier. Avoid it if possible. It appears by specific random natures combined together. These natures are #33-42 according to the natures page on Atwiki. You will not find piece items with these natures. You are bound to lack the piece(s) needed to dualize your weapon to the right nature eventually. Before grinding in the area where you can find the pieces you need, please equip the following to your Arles Pot: -採掘の魔導書 (Magic Book of Mine); increases chance of pieces dropping -発見の魔導書 (Finding Magic Book); doubles rate of getting items -採集の魔導書 (The Magic Book Collection); gives a chance to double amount of items aquired With these equipped, use the Piece Natures Location link and scroll down until you find the right piece nature and its location. Head to the area and repeatedly kill enemies until the piece drops. Unfortunately, even with the equipped items on the arles pot, piece items still are very rare and you don't even have the greatest chance to get the right natured one. When you turn in inn requests, keep in mind that new ones won't necessarily appear immediately. It has been said that it may take around 8 minutes for new requests to appear, so keep rotating towns until new requests appear for you! Defeating Kohaku on the 9th floor of the Zoon Cage secret dungeon gives you a request item that won't appear in the inn request list until after beating her. So, with that said, good luck! Happy hunting and use each link provided at the top of this post to get each and every one of those evil requests done! iNf3Rn0 Lan
For Gentleman Defeated! am i able to gather up all the items for the inns at anytime or are some of the items required from time specific events? You should be able to get them all at any time. Do try to follow Kouli's guide though, as you'll get all of the request items early on and not have to figure out what you've missed. Also, there is ONE missable request item, and that's the Hankerchief for Frederic (Request Item at Lhant), so make sure you get that from when Hubert joins your party to before the final dungeon's last floor, as Frederic disappears after that for some reason. Also, to everyone... I've been doing some stuff recently. I should have this guide done soon. Unfortunately, Maxing the Arles Pot and Gentleman Defeated trophies are very complicated, so I'm going to have to write a ton of stuff for those. Hope you guys can get some good help from this guide! ElixirelDaath
^ I almost didn't see the second page and almost answered that fellow's question. Yep, Kouli's guide works wonders For the gentlemen kill trophy description, I would just say "use a wiki with google translator and good luck!" That trophy is such a pain for non Japanese speakers; your warning made me smile. I appreciate you taking the initiative to make a guide for this game. Hopefully some more Tales fans will be more inclined to import it. Edit: I let you know this on another thread, but in the event that you don't see it or incase others may need help "at the moment"-- As a non Japanese speaker, I found this wiki http://wiki.mmo-station.com/wiki/ps3togf/ to be much more helpful than @wiki for inn requests, because the item names are links to their descriptions and locations. @wiki trumps mmo-station in every other respect though Edited January 16, 2011 by ElixirelDaath

Lethal-Hjorth
Wait... so theres 100 titles to every character except one? How easy are these titles to get in general? 100 titles per person sounds like pain in the ass. Welcome to the site by the way /Lethal

Welcome to the site by the way /Lethal Actually there are around 160-180 titles per character, and you only need to get 100 for each. And only 80 for the future arc character. Rockman_Xelnia
Very nice road map here. Getting the Gentleman trophy became a dozen times easier with this even if I did most of the requests. Just to put it out there, the Narikiri Doll thread on GameFAQs is the one I put up I had a link going to YouTube for a visual guide, but the link has changed. Here's the link, which you can put in the roadmap as a visual guide as well: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRaMHfj3Ptg]YouTube -[/ame]

ElixirelDaath
^ yep. You can get everything on the first playthrough iirc. Oh wow. That doesn't sound too bad, not like Vesperia. This game is soooo much easier to 100% than Vesperia. I had a few weeks off from real life and 100% Graces and Vesperia back to back and god is Graces so much easier.
