Section 2 Introduction

Table Ice Hockey is an arcade style AR game that can be completed in an afternoon. It can be a bit of a grind, but the hardest thing you'll need to do is find an ad-hoc boosting partner.

Section 3 Walkthrough

Step 1: Tutorials and Customization

First, complete all eight lessons in the tutorials. Next, change the name of a player on one of the custom teams.

Trophies Earned:

(B) Teachers Pet

(B) Name Changer

Step 2 : Play in Tournament Mode

Play through and win the tournament. You will play three “regular season” games before entering the elimination bracket. You can lose once in the regular season and still make the playoffs. One loss in the bracket and your tournament is over.

Most of the trophies will unlock naturally during this step. If they don't, you'll have plenty of opportunity in the next two steps.

Trophies Earned:

(B) Penalty

(B) Victory

(B) Rookie Hockey Player

(B) You can't win them all

(B) Face to Face

(B) You have the power!

(S) Against The Odds

(S) Cup Winner

Step 3: Get 50 Wins in Any Game Mode

Self explanatory. This is where you will spend the majority of your time. If you won all your games in the Tournament you'll need 44 more. You can get your wins in Tournament, Solo or Ad-Hoc play. If you didn't lose a game during the tournament you can throw a game here.

Trophies Earned:

(S) Intermediate Hockey Player

(G) Champion Hockey Player

Step 4: Ad-Hoc/ Cleanup

Get together with someone who owns a Vita with the game and get a win. If you or your opponent are missing any other trophies, now would be a good time to boost them.

Trophies Earned:

(B) Defeat the Human

Complete all Tutorials in the game.

From the main menu select How to Play. There are four Beginner and four Advanced tutorials explaining all the game mechanics, from skating to fighting. They are very simple and you will likely complete each one on your first try. Complete all eight tutorials for the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/29B.jpg Penalty http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Receive a Penalty.

There are two easy ways to do this. You can get into a fight or interfere with the opponent's goalie. To get into a fight body check someone (press :square:) on the other team every chance you get. Eventually they will start a fight and you will both go to the penalty box, regardless of who wins the fight. To interfere with the goalie, skate in the crease (the half circle in front of the goal) without having the puck or body check the goalie while he has the puck.

Change a player's name.

From the main menu select Customize, select any team you have unlocked and then choose Edit Player. Tap on any player's name and change it to whatever you like. The trophy popped for me after deleting one letter in the name.

Win your first game of Table Ice Hockey.

See Champion Hockey Player.

Win 5 Games.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/66E.jpg You can't win them all http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Lose a Game.

Lose any game. You can sit idle for the entire game to ensure that you lose. Can be done in Tournament, Solo or Ad-Hoc play.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/5CD.jpg Face to Face http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Win a Face-Off.

At the beginning of every period and after every penalty and goal there will be a face off. :circle:, :square:, :triangle: or :cross: will appear on screen. Quickly press the correct button to win the face-off. You will have to go out of your way to not get this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/8A0.jpg You have the power! http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Score a goal when on a Power Play.

At some point your opponents will get an Interference Penalty, giving you a Power Play. Score while you have the man advantage. Quick shots, especially one-timers (a pass followed by an immediate shot) work very well.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/3F0.jpg Defeat the Human http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Beat an Ad-Hoc Network Opponent.

Get together with a friend who owns a Vita with the game and win a match. From the main menu select Play Now, then Player V Player. Choose your team and tap the arrow in the bottom right corner of the screen to enter Ad-Hoc mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/62D.jpg Against The Odds http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Score a goal when you are shorthanded.

Can be done anytime you have a player in the penalty box, but the easiest way to do this is after an Interference Penalty. Skate in the opponent's crease (the half circle in front of the goal) without the puck. This will put one of your players in the penalty box and cause a face-off in your opponent's zone. Win the face-off by quickly pressing the correct button, and as the puck is being passed to your teammate start tapping :circle:. This is called a one-timer and scores a goal almost every time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/6DA.jpg Intermediate Hockey Player http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win 25 Games.

See Champion Hockey Player.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/3B6.jpg Cup Winner http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win the Tournament Cup.

From the main menu select Tournament. I suggest playing as the Canadian Bears. You will first play three “regular season” games. You need to win at least two games to advance to the Elimination Bracket. If you lose at any time in the Elimination Bracket the tournament is over. You shouldn't have too much trouble, but if you ever find yourself behind in a game, use the one-timer after a penalty as outlined in Against The Odds(S) for a quick goal.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1740/D4E.jpg Champion Hockey Player http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Win 50 Games.

This will be time consuming, but easy. Wins in Tournament, Solo and Ad-Hoc modes all count towards your total.

To help speed up the process try to avoid checking too many players, as each fight adds around 30 seconds to your game time. Each goal adds around 10 seconds if you skip the replay so once you have a comfortable lead try to run out the clock. If you can average 6 minutes per game, 50 wins will take five hours.

If you're having trouble getting wins try playing solo games. Select the Canadian Bears or Russian Tigers (if you've unlocked them) and play against the French Roosters.

Beware of the Ad Hoc trophy, it can be glitched, I tried with a friend, I got my trophy for the first time and my friend never had it after 5-6 wins. We tried all possible requirements (he was the host, I was the host, he put a goal, 2 or 3 goals, I put goals against myself, ...) but no trophy !

 I helped four or five people unlock the trophy and didn't run into any trouble. Did the trophy eventually unlock for your friend?

French Roosters have such hilariously bad AI. I'm pretty sure Hodor is their goalkeeper.

can help me with the 2 players trophy??

If you buy me a round-trip ticket to Australia, I'll hook you up. I could use a vacation. ;)

Yeah, they're pretty bad. I had them score on themselves more than once.

This will be one expensive Ad hoc trophy.

On the plus side, if you know someone who has a Vita it shouldn't be too hard to talk them into buying the game. 13 trophies for $1.99 is a pretty good deal.

I'm becoming very convinced that the 25 wins trophy is glitched for me. I haven't been counting but it feels like I'm at 40+ wins and still no trophy for 25 wins. It's bad enough having to grind out 50 pathetically easy but boring wins and needing 2 Vitas in one room to get 100%, but now I don't know what to do. I really don't want to delete the game and gamesave to start over, but I'm starting to think that's the only way it'll unglitch itself. To anyone thinking about buying this game, avoid it like the ugliest girl you've ever known.

For the Cup Winner trophy, if your struggling to beat the opponents, or start loosing. You can press the PSbutton and close the game, then when you reload the game you'll start from the beginning of the match you were loosing at. helpful for when you can't be bothered playing 6 matches again

Thanks for the tips... i am having a hard time with the "Tournament"
