valksta
There are still some people that are having trouble doing these with the D-Pad and I have now cleared these trials around six times all together as of last year (Including SF 4 twice) and will be doing it a seventh time whilst recording my hands. I started recording 3 days ago and have been uploading a set of one character's trials per day (rendering is a bitch! ). If you have any requests for a particular character, let me know. I am strictly a pad player and don't use a stick. Update! 6/23/2012 Sakura Added! 6/26/2012 Guy Added! 6/30/2012 Re-did Ryu for better quality 7/06/2012 Cody Added Ryu: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIPXlQG1Yt8]Super Street Fighter 4 Ryu Trials 1-24 PS3 Controller D-Pad Tutorial - YouTube[/ame] Ken: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWi2PcVzJvE]Super Street Fighter 4 Ken Trials 1-24 D-Pad Tutorial - YouTube[/ame] C. valksta
Nice videos, well done. This will probably help people out there. Thanks man, hopefully this helps some people out there as it takes along time to render these after editing in my hands. The quality for Ryu is so-so as I just hopped on and strapped my camera to a desk lamp after haven't playing in so long. I now have a bench light that has a crane mechanism to better record, so future vids will have better quality

valksta
Can you do trial videos for charged motion characters like guile, chun-li and others? No Problem, I will start with guile's tonight and work on getting it uploaded by tomorrow morning. Sagat added.
LostRonin
Nice vids. Still at a loss though at trial 20 sonic boom to double flash & trial 21 flash kick to double flash executions.
valksta
Nice vids. Still at a loss though at trial 20 sonic boom to double flash & trial 21 flash kick to double flash executions. Trial 20: After connecting the L.P to M.P (holding QCB) immediately follow through with QCF+M.P>QCB>UF+ H.K, then Follow through with Ultra( just be sure stay away from the corner to ensure that you have enough time to buffer your ultra) L.P to M.P and Sonic boom into super are very easy done separately. You are pressing M.P twice, the second one being a split second after to follow up the rest of the combo, just remember to get that first M.P link in. Trial 21: QCB>UF+L.K>QCB>UF+L.K (L.K to help prevent Dan from flying behind you ) Hope this helps. I am sure you will find it very simple the more you practice it. I will do El fuerte's trials next. I like to put the controller on a table or on my lap when I do trial 24. Should be interesting when I record my hands Edited June 2, 2012 by valksta
DoveCity187
Thanks! I found 1-23 to be a breeze, just hate that loop. Also, I had just cleared sagat c viper and rufus, sometimes if you go back to a trial that your stuck on the next day, it seems much easier. I re-did all of El Fuerte's trials last night after your post but the rendering after editing in my hands took about 2 hours. I am glad to see you finished it, though! Let me know if you have any other character's you want me to do.
DarkByke
My problem is the PS3 controller. It's not responsive and doesn't register the proper movements.. I play this game on XBOX and It's much better, just because of the design of the analog stick, where it registers Left, Right, Up, Down much better. Hmmm I haven't played SF on the xbox controller, so I wouldn't know. But I DO know that the PS3 controller is very responsive when inputting movements. The controller is fine,..and if you don't want to take the time to learn it, you can either go back to playing on the xbox or get a stick. Simple as that. P.S bro, there are many top players who happen to use Playstation pads such as Wolfkrone and Vangief. Edited June 3, 2012 by valksta

M00nkey
I cannot use the xbox controller at all for fighting games. It feels so unorthodox, and the d-pad is tiny. I don't know how you guys use analog stick, its way to weird for me.

LostRonin
What's the proper timing in doing gen's gekiro in the trials? I know you can't do it either too slow or too fast, I just can't get the timing right.
TJWorks
What's the proper timing in doing gen's gekiro in the trials? I know you can't do it either too slow or too fast, I just can't get the timing right. If I remember rightly, it's got a certain rhythm for each hit to come out. Something like "tap... tap.. tap. taptaptap." I can't remember exactly, but you just need to know when to press each kick gradually faster. If you get me. McGarnigle
For Guile 20 and 21 I find it easiest to spin the analog stick 450 degrees to link the Sonic Boom and Flash Kicks into the the double flash, it works quite well. I'm still struggling really badly with his last trial though, I can get the super to come out very consistently, but I can never get the ultra, I've failed on it at least 100 times (no exaggeration) between this and Street Fighter 4, he just jumps or something instead of doing it and it's missed the few times it's actually worked, very annoying. Meanwhile for his 23rd trial I just can't get that Flash Kick to come out at the end, I don't know why, it should be easy but it wont come out. Guile just sucks, there's no two ways about it, I honestly have more trouble with his trials than anyone else in the game, including Fuerte, Viper or whoever, and he's even harder here than in vanilla. I just re-did all of Guile's trials in under 20 minutes and will be uploading it along with Ryu's and Ken's for better quality... It becomes apparent that you are either not buffering properly or you entering the inputs incorrectly. Not much can be said other than this, so no point in constantly comparing to other trials. There is no secret strategy for trials 23 and 24, so instead of complaining about the difficulty... try working on your hand dexterity. Hope the vids help. Ryukori
Thank you so much for these videos! I started playing this game again only because I found this thread! It helped me get a few trials done, but I think I need more practice myself. My synchronization when pulling off some combos is off by a little bit, so I have to be more precise. I will keep trying, though. My goal is to get at least 50% of all the trials done in this game. So far, I'm at around 30%.
