Introduction:

Welcome to Street Fighter x Tekken, the first crossover game between two of the biggest fighting game franchises out there. Whilst there are two versions of the game coming out, the other will be known as Tekken x Street Fighter which will use the Tekken engine, this version of the game will be using the Street Fighter format of fighting and utilize mechanics from the Street Fighter games. Street Fighter x Tekken will also incorporate mechanics to have that Tekken feeling in the game as well. Along with new mechanics the game also brings to the table new modes to the Street Fighter universe. Some of the new modes will give players something to play around with and others that greatly benefit competitive players such as the Customization Mode and Online Training Mode. In the Customization and Training modes you and a friend can share ideas and tips with one another without worrying about the match timer running out or of killing each other.

The game also features characters exclusive to the PS3 such as Cole MacGrath from Infamous, Sony Mascots Toro and Kuro and unbelievably Pac-Man and Mega Man (Mega Man fans be warned). Be sure to check out PS3T's Street Fight x Tekken Review for more information.

Trophy wise the game looks like your generic Street Fighter trophy list i.e. challenging players to utilize the in-game mechanics many times, defeating Arcade Mode in various ways and of course the dreaded Trial Mode. Do not fret though as we do not have to complete them all in this game and, with the large amount of characters in the cast plus 20 missions per characters, it is sure to be attainable by many. The biggest challenge will be Mission Mode where the game forces you to complete battles under the harshest conditions.

Note: This first portion of the Road Map will talk about the new game mechanics and bring those up to speed on some of changes going from Street Fighter IV to Street Fighter x Tekken. Regular players may already know of this information and some may want to skip ahead to the steps of the Platinum process, if that is the case go ahead and scroll down to the "Breakdown" portion of the Road Map.

Getting Used to the Crossover:

As mentioned the game will play more like Street Fighter than it will Tekken however will be utilizing some aspects from Tekken games as well as some new mechanics to the game itself. A lot of the game mechanics will be described under there respective trophies in the guide and you can view the list of them under the "Breakdown" of this Road Map. For now here are some new mechanics to help transition players used to Street Fighter IV and all of its iterations to Street Fighter x Tekken.

Before we dive into the mechanics lets explain how the two member teams will influence who wins and who loses. Coming from the Tekken Tag Tournament's format of deciding a round, here are the ways you can win the round in Street Fighter x Tekken:

  • The team with the most accumulative health remaining wins the round.
  • The team is defeated when only one of their fighters loses all their health.

The Gem System is easily one of the most controversial topics during the games release, tournament players and organizers alike are wondering how will this be properly planned out for regulated during tournament play which is where the true gameplay and magic lies.

To start off, each character you use in battle can have 3 gems equipped to them out of the large list of individual power up gems as well as 5 pre-made loads attached to them making gen selection much faster. Here is a list of the different gem types in which you can have:

DLSsrLO.png

Attack

TU7mEU1.png

Defense

9glouaR.png

Speed

Sh5i038.png

Cross Gauge

F3czwGZ.png

Vitality

sJNxAAw.png

Assist

These Gems activate mid-battle after you reach a certain condition, most of which only last a couple of seconds. The gems aren't ground breaking to the point of creating a broken game, however they can turn the tide of battle and even create combo possibilities with various Speed and Cross Gauge Gems. For more information the Gem System, please refer to the individual trophies relating to Gems in the guide or to the Official Street Fighter x Tekken Gem System page.

In Street Fighter x Tekken you play with a team of two characters from the large cast of characters given to us in this game making for larger combo possibilities, think Marvel vs Capcom 3 almost with less frustration. When playing you have to consider a balanced team to fight difficult match ups as well as the new tag mechanics to utilize them.

Basic Partner Tag (judGaw3.png+0f6X5CD.png)

To switch between your characters you can use the basic tag to do it for what is known as a raw tag. Doing a Raw Tag brings your characters out but because your opponent is still able to move he is open to attack your partner when they get switched in, as they are in recovery if they are in range so use this sparingly.

Switching (judGaw3.png+0f6X5CD.png during normal or special moves)

Much like Partner Tag, Switching is done through judGaw3.png+ 0f6X5CD.png. However you do it during a normal and special move and it will take up 1 bar from the Cross Gauge. While the cost of 1 bar may seem like too much of a price to pay, it is a safe way of getting your partner out and if you prioritize your hits correctly you could build back most of that meter you used for the switch.

Cross Rush (l3sv7Dr.png > l3sv7Dr.png > judGaw3.png > CsNznxg.png)

The Cross Rush is a form of chaining that came from the Tekken format of the game. Chaining as mentioned above is much easier to do then "linking" moves together as traditionally done in Street Fighter however won't deal as much damage if you were to properly learn linking. The Cross Rush is a universal mechanic to all characters which can be performed with any chain-able normals ending with judGaw3.png into CsNznxg.png (l3sv7Dr.png > l3sv7Dr.png > judGaw3.png > CsNznxg.png being the basic way of doing it). The Cross Rush is a quick combo that launchers the opponent into the air and tags your partner to continue the combo however there some pros and cons to this.

Pros:

  • It is a safe way of tagging your partner in as well as leading the previous point character health and sub health taken during the match.
  • Its much easier than linking combos and can utilize the strength of your partner character when ending the chain.

Cons:

  • You cannot cancel into a Special Move at the end of this however you can cancel into an EX Special which requires one bar of the Cross Gauge.
  • You cannot perform another full chain combo after the Cross Rush.

Other Street Fighter x Tekken Mechanics:

Cross Cancel (http://bit.ly/1lGwKgRhttp://bit.ly/1Yr9n98+http://bit.ly/1Yr9vWa)

Similar to that of BlazBlue's counter assault, Street Fighter x Tekken's Cross Cancel takes up some of the meter and is used whilst you are blocking an opponents attacks. This move takes up a bar from the Cross Gauge and is a good way to stop your opponents pressure, if skilled enough you can even prioritize more damage off of it.

Wall Bounces

The Wall Bounce has been in previous iterations of Street Fighter and has made its return in Street Fighter x Tekken. Some special moves or EX special moves will cause a wall bounce. During this Wall Bounce you can extend your combo with other normals and finish it with a Super Art, you can even Partner Tag your other character in safely whilst the opponent is recovering from the Wall Bounce. Explore your characters capabilities and utilize any Wall Bounces he or she may have.

Charge

Charging is done by pressing and holding down one button in which you perform that characters Super Art, a good example is Xiaoyu Hakkesho Combo Super Art which is done by http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q http://bit.ly/1SYWTSs+http://bit.ly/1P5in2d+http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98, instead you will press http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q+http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7 and hold that http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7 for a charge attack. If you hold and release it after a spark flashes it will do an EX version of that special move in which the input is done, if you continue to hold it even longer it will automatically perform the Super Art. Neither of these will use any of the meter.

Additionally, Charge is a good way canceling out of your normal strings allowing for more pressure options when going on the offensive against your opponent. To cancel out of your Charge simply double tap back or forward and your character will cancel out of the Charge animation. Lastly, if you hold down the Charge and cancel out of it after the spark the first attack you land will have counter hit properties for higher damage potential given you as the player know any counter hit combos.

Final Note on the Game Mechanics/Meter Usage:

When playing the game against other players be wary of your meter usage and all the options you have with your meter. Having even one bar to use say an Alpha Counter can turn the tide of any games momentum and shift things in your favor.

As most fighters go you can do these steps in whatever order you wish but keep in mind that, from the very start, you will have a lot of misc technical trophies where you must grind out a certain amount of EX specials, Cross Assaults, Cross Arts and much more. Keep all of these trophies in mind whenever you do multiple Arcade runs or grind out online trophies. Progress for these trophies only count for modes outside of Training, Trial and Mission Mode.

If you come up short in the end or you feel the need to grind this out right away, make use of versus mode and the handicap setting. With the handicap setting you can put yourself at Pandora requirements and go Pandora right away for instant meter, however you will have to perform your meter related moves fast before Pandora times you out each round. You can keep track of your progress towards these trophies under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress for every little thing.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

When going for the "Finish a round" trophies you will not get progress towards any of them if you finish the round with a perfect, it will only count the progress towards the A Perfect Victory! trophy.

At the start of the game there are some trophies you can unlock within a couple seconds of attempting each one, most of which consist of trying out each of the new modes and features. Here is a list of the trophies you can earn at this time:

(B)

Fruits of Labor

(B)

The Stones Guide Me

(B)

Doused In My Color!

If you didn't feel like reading the large write up at the start of the Road Map or would rather have some hands on practice with the new mechanics, this mode is the one to go to before you throw yourself against the A.I opponents. This particular mode is also good for beginners as it breaks down even the simplest of fundamentals. During this portion you can unlock the following trophies:

(B)

My Big First Step

(B)

Maturity Through Discipline

http://i.imgur.com/yysjaNi.png

Just like in the previous Street Fighter game you are tasked with triggering various "Rival Battles" within the game but now you are also tasked with defeating each of the multiple bosses on the hardest difficulty. You are also tasked with playing 30 matches via the Arcade Fight Request again which will require connection to PSN as you do it. During this portion you can unlock the following trophies:

(B)

After The Dust Has Settled

(B)

Trail Of Ruined Dreams

(S)

The Root Of Chaos

(B)

Any Time, Any Place! (

:psn:

http://i.imgur.com/j0Id4rb.png

During this portion you will be completing various tasks given to you by the game, as well as completing various combo challenges just as you do in any new gen fighting game. While trophies like these may be the bane of all casual games alike, the game doesn't task you with completing all of them this time and not even a large percentage either thus making it an easier to obtain trophy. During this portion you can unlock the following trophies:

(B)

Just The Beginning

(B)

Trial Expert

(B)

The Excellence of Execution

(B)

The First Mission

(S)

Mission Specialist

http://i.imgur.com/kOMSo4E.png

If you had to spend most of your time in one mode this might as well be the one. The Online mode tasks players with doing a variety of things, not only do you have to play 500 matches but you must also win 100 of those matches and increase your battle class in ranked and much more. For this portion I would highly recommend you find a boosting partner to lessen the amount of time you must spend here. Also, you could use this step if you are using a boosting partner to complete any of the technical trophies mentioned at the top of the breakdown. During this portion you can unlock the following trophies:

(B)

The Warrior's Road

(B)

The Crossroads of Tragedy

(S)

The Harsh Road

(G)

The Endless Road

(B)

Learn The Fundamentals

(B)

Forge Your Own Path

(S)

Transcend All You Know

(G)

Your Legend Will Never Die

(B)

(S)

To The Victor...

(G)

Proof Of Your Victory

(B)

The Battle Never Ends

(B)

Head Of The Dojo

http://i.imgur.com/riOsC0C.png

During this last step you can finish up whatever technical trophies you may be missing through versus battles or online boosting in a player match, as well as completing any trials and missions you might have skipped and work on the last titles you may be missing. During this step you will have the following trophies unlocked:

(B)

Observer

(B)

Evangelist Of The "X"

(S)

Title Idol

(P)

Zenith

Conclusion:

Overall with this games reduction in the trials you must complete, the game has become much easier to Platinum compared to other Capcom fighters such as SSFIV and both MvC3 iterations. The game will be quite the grind requiring players to finish multiple rounds, with moves that take up 3 meters and what really will be the deal breaker to (P) i.e Mission Mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/606.jpgTitle Idol (S)

Obtain 300 Titles.

For this trophy you must unlock 300 titles in Street Fighter x Tekken. In the last Street Fighter game we were tasked with getting all of them which held many great feats within the list of requirements, luckily we do not have to do it this time and you can easily achieve the amount needed for the trophy. Here is a breakdown of how you will be getting your 300 titles.

Character Related Titles:

Each character has 10 titles connected to them, 8 of which are linked to your completion of their combo trials and two which are connected to completing Arcade Mode with them. To get a title with a character in Arcade Mode they must be the first character in your tag team, whether or not they land the finishing blow on the final boss does not matter like in Marvel vs Capcom 3. You will get a title for completing Arcade Mode with them in general and you can possibly get one for completing Arcade Mode on the the hardest difficulty as well.

Here is where you will get quite a lot of titles which is from the combo trials. While there are 8 titles related to completing trials you actually unlock 6 of that characters titles from 40% completion (8 trials completed), if you multiply that with the rest of the cast you get a total of 228 then an additional 18 with the PS3 exclusive characters that are on the disc i.e Cole, Kuro and Toro. Finally if you have obtained the DLC code for Mega Man and Pac-Man you will have an additional 12 for a grand total of 258 easy titles out of the 300 required for your trophy.

Online Activity:

A large amount of titles can be unlocked through various online activities such as playing a certain amount of matches, winning and losing a certain amount of matches in Endless Battle and Ranked. You even earn titles for the amount of replays you had downloaded off your replay channel. If you're aiming for Platinum you will surely get the final amount you need for your trophy.

Overall, this trophy will come with natural progression towards getting the Platinum but above is the breakdown of how it will come to you.

Connect with 500 Special Moves.

Every character has a unique list of Special Moves under their command list, all of which can be done with a simple rotation and push of a button. A lot of the Tekken characters have special stances within there special move list that match that of their styles from the Tekken games. Here is an example of Special Moves from Chun Li's command list:

  • Kikoken: http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Qhttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR+ http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7
  • Hazanshu: http://bit.ly/1lGwKgRhttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q+ http://bit.ly/1TbJvLG
  • Spinning Bird Kick: Charge http://bit.ly/1IcZtPa > http://bit.ly/1QFszPh + http://bit.ly/1TbJvLG
  • Hyakuretsukyaku: http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Qhttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR + http://bit.ly/1TbJvLG

For each special move to count towards this trophy it must make physical contact with the opposing character when they are not blocking. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/FAA.jpgBlink Of An Eye (B)

Connect with 500 EX Special Moves.

Performing an EX Special Move is similar to that of its regular version but instead of pressing just 1 one of the attack buttons, you will have to press 2 and give up 1 bar of your meter. Here's an example of how to use an EX move using the move list under A Very Special Gift:

  • Kikoken: http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Qhttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR+ http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7
  • Hazanshu: http://bit.ly/1lGwKgRhttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q+ http://bit.ly/1TbJvLGhttp://bit.ly/1TbJvLG
  • Spinning Bird Kick: Charge http://bit.ly/1IcZtPa > http://bit.ly/1QFszPh + http://bit.ly/1TbJvLGhttp://bit.ly/1TbJvLG
  • Hyakuretsukyaku: http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Qhttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR + http://bit.ly/1TbJvLGhttp://bit.ly/1TbJvLG

You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

Easy No Meter Cost Method:

An easier way of performing an EX move is to use the characters special move that can be Super Charged, in this case it would be Chun-Li's Hyakuretsukyaku: Simply make the input and hold http://bit.ly/1TbJvLG until you see one spark light up on Chun Li and at this time, let go and it will release an EX Hyakuretsukyaku at the cost of no Meter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/731.jpgTime For Some Fireworks! (B)

Connect with 500 Launchers.

A launcher is performed by http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98+http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98 and at the cost of no meter so it can be used at any time. A launcher will launch the opponent in the air and tag in your partner to follow up with a short combo. Perform this 500 times for your trophy.

Utilization:

While this does seem to bit too easy or obvious you can actually squeeze it in regular play, the lower part of your character is completely invul during the launcher animation so if you were to react to your opponents low normal attack with a launcher it would beat their attack out and put you in the offensive with your partner.

You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/913.jpgAnything Goes (B)

Activate Cross Assault 500 times.

To activate Cross Assault you must use 3 bars of meter and input http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q http://bit.ly/1P5in2d+http://bit.ly/1IcZ9Qt. Cross Assault brings out your partner for a simultaneous assault of both of your characters. When playing with only 1 player the partner will be A.I controlled however if you are playing with a friend he will have control of the other character given you both more mix up and cross up options.

Utilization:

In actual play this may be a viable way of trying to get in on your opponent however at the cost of all of your Cross Gauge it might not be worth it. Keep in mind that when trying to go for unblockables under Cross Assault using a high and a low with both characters, the game will allow your opponent to block both hits.

For a grinding method for this trophy please refer to "The Cross Revolution" for more information. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/EDC.jpgAn Unknown Power (B)

Activate Pandora 500 times.

To activate Pandora you must have your active character at 25% health or less, this does not require an amount of Cross Gauge to perform. Input http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPa http://bit.ly/1P5in2d+http://bit.ly/1IcZ9Qt and it will sacrifice your current active character and bring in your partner emitting a dark purple aura, this is Street Fighter x Tekken's unique comeback mechanic. In Pandora Mode your character will have unlimited Cross Gauge usage and their strength will increase significantly, however they only have 8 seconds to finish the fight before Pandora runs out and you lose the fight as a result.

This mechanic isn't as broken as X Factor from a certain Marvel vs Capcom 3 but opponents should keep in mind that with unlimited usage of Cross Gauge, careless actions could lead to a possible defeat.

Utilization:

When using Pandora mode it would be very wise only to utilize it as a Combo Ender. While it may still fall victim to damage scaling, if you can find time within a combo that has possibly a wall bounce to activate Pandora and use that characters Super Art, it may be more than enough to kill off a character depending on other factors.

When using Pandora keep in mind that the time in which Pandora is active still runs even during the animations from Supers. Watch out for carelessly using long ones or getting caught up in a long animation of that sort.

For a grinding method for this trophy please refer to "The Cross Revolution" for more information. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

Connect with 500 Super Arts.

To use a Super Art you must use 2 blocks of the Cross Gauge. Super Arts are supers that are traditionally in every Street Fighter game. Each character has their own list of Super Arts and special input connected to it. Every Super Art requires the character to input all three Punches or Kicks along with the rotation. To view a characters Super Art and how to do it, press :start: and view it under their command list. Using Chun-Li's command list, here is her Super Art:

  • Senretsukuaku: http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Qhttp://bit.ly/1XnGM2ghttp://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR + http://bit.ly/1I7SwnKhttp://bit.ly/1IcZ9Qthttp://bit.ly/1Yr9n98

Easy No Meter Cost Method:

Much like the method listed under Blink Of An Eye you can use the Super Charge Special Attacks to use a Super Art at the cost of no meter. When charging Chun Li's Super Charge attack, which is Hyakuretsukyaku for those who forgot, continue to hold http://bit.ly/1TbJvLG after the lighting sparks on her and it will release on its own once it reaches the max and releases her Super Art.

For a grinding method for this trophy please refer to "The Cross Revolution" for more information. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/12D.jpgTwo Minds, Fighting As One (B)

Connect with 500 Cross Arts.

To perform a Cross Art you must use up 3 blocks of your Cross Gauge, a Cross Art is performed by inputting http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1jhwC5Chttp://bit.ly/1lGwKgR (http://bit.ly/1P5in2d+http://bit.ly/1IcZ9Qt) for every character and team in the cast. The Cross Art can be compared to Street Fighter IV's Ultra Combo's where at the cost of all your meter, you will perform a very damaging super which utilizes both of your characters. The start of the Cross Art usually begins with the beginning of your point characters Super Art and ends with your partners ending part to theirs.

Utilization:

When using Cross Arts, if you have a common team you use online be sure to test out the Cross Arts with both characters in each others positions. Lets say you are using Xiaoyu and Chun-Li, test it out with Xiaoyu in front and Chun-Li in back when you use the Cross Assault and vice versa to see which one deals more damage. Character placement is important and you should be considering it in just about every mechanic in the game.

Also keep in mind that, when you use a Cross Art, the opposing character getting hit will not retain any sub health they had during the match. This will leave them in a horrible position even after they get tagged out as they won't have any health they can recover.

You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

To perform a Quick Combo you must input http://bit.ly/1SYWTSshttp://bit.ly/1Yr9vWa or http://bit.ly/1I7SwnKhttp://bit.ly/1Yr9n98 at the cost of one bar. A quick combo is a quick preset combo that every character has attached to them, all of these are catered mostly to beginners. You can view each characters preset quick combos under "Quick Combo" in the Customize menu. If you want to grind this out, utilize the handicap option in Versus so you can activate Pandora mode right away. From there you can execute at least 2 quick combos before Pandora runs out.

Activate your Assist Gems 100 times.

Assist Gems are represented with a purple gem icon within your gem loadout (http://i.imgur.com/sJNxAAw.png), these gems can be referred to as "Beginner Mode" in Street Fighter x Tekken. Some Assist Gems are active throughout the whole match and others activate for you depending on the gem in question. While Assist Gems make things easier for beginners they also comes at a price, here is a list of the starting Assist Gems in the game, their effects and the price of using it:

NdN2I7Z.png

If you are using the first 3 gems you will have to chain them in a combo for it to count towards your trophy, the other two on the other hand just have to activate in battle.

Grinding Method:

An easy way to grind this would be in Versus Mode utilizing the Auto Block Assist Gem and Pandora Mode with a second controller. First go into Customization and equip a character with Auto Block (preferably a big character like Hugo) then when start up versus, set it to best of 7 rounds and infinite time (the time doesn't matter but put infinite anyway). Now during character select, select who ever you want as your point character and place your character with the Gem in back, then pick any attack opponent (pick Ryu for the sake of him having a consistent http://bit.ly/1IcZtPahttp://bit.ly/1SYWTSs). After the characters have been selected set your point character to 25% health, leave everyone alone and start the battle. Have your point character activate Pandora Mode and once your character comes out, let the Cross Gauge fill up from Pandora and once it hits max, proceed to hitting him with the other controller and activating the Auto Block gem with each hit. After his 3 bars have been used him let him reload and you should have enough time for 3 more hits before Pandora mode time runs out. You can push your character to the corner to make it easier to connect the hits from Ryu if you want. That's 6 activations per round so under these settings that's 24 per match, rinse and repeat until you unlock your trophy.

Utilization:

While the drop in attack is quite a price to pay and losing Cross Gauge when you forget to block a move it can be handy depending on the modes you are using it in. The Easy Input Gems can help beginners in Hard difficulty trophies utilizing their characters special moves if this is the first time picking up the game, for those who want their trophies fast you can also utilize Super Easy Input with Zangief for strong command grab inputs without having to perform the 360 and 720 rotations. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

Activate your Boost Gems 100 times.

A Boost Gem comes in 5 different categories, here is the list of each different category as well as how some of them aid you in battle specifically. While some may be pretty straight forward such as Attack and Defense others may confuse players on what exactly they do.

http://i.imgur.com/DLSsrLO.png

Attack

http://i.imgur.com/TU7mEU1.png
Defense

http://i.imgur.com/9glouaR.png
Speed

http://i.imgur.com/Sh5i038.png
Cross Gauge

http://i.imgur.com/F3czwGZ.png
Vitality

http://i.imgur.com/DLSsrLO.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/TU7mEU1.pngAttack and Defense

As their titles say that is all they are, they increase your Attack and Defense of the character using it.

http://i.imgur.com/9glouaR.pngSpeed

Speed increases your characters jumping and movement speed, the speed gems do not alter things such as the start up frames of your moves.

http://i.imgur.com/Sh5i038.pngCross Gauge

The Cross Gauge gems increase the amount of Cross Gauge you build during your attacks and can reduce the cost of your Super and Cross Arts by up to 40% depending on the gem you us.

http://i.imgur.com/F3czwGZ.pngVitality

Vitality Gems can gradually increase your characters health during battle or give them a set amount right away depending on the gem you use.

3 Gems can be equipped per character so that means you can activate 6 gems per match towards this trophy. Easy gems to activate are usually ones that require actions from you such as hitting your opponent a certain amount of times like the Attack gems. Look at all the activation conditions and use the ones you feel more comfortable with yourself to activate more often. Keep in mind that Assist Gems from "A Glimmering Light" will not count towards this trophy. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

Finish a round with a Cross Art 300 times.

For these trophies you must complete a round using one of the following mechanics, all of which can be done in easier ways. Lets review how each of them can be obtained easily if/when you have to grind them out. All of these methods are assuming you are grinding them out in versus mode.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

When going for the "Finish a round" trophies you will not get progress towards any of them if you finish the round with a Perfect, it will only count the progress towards the A Perfect Victory! trophy.

(B)

Splendid Conclusion

(B)
Power Consumes All

For this trophy you want to utilize the handicap option between character select and stage select, switch the handicap of both players to 25% you can and go into the match. At the start of the match go into Pandora then use your characters Super Art for easy progress towards this as well as the "The Trump Card". Sadly this will not count towards "Splendid Conclusion" as it will only count as a Pandora Finish so you will have to do it separately for the Super Art Finishes. If you really want to be efficient with time use Ryu against a 75% handicap Hugo and spam Ryu's Shinku Hadoken Super Art, when you build the meter it's arguably the fastest Super Art in the game and you should easily be able to use 3 of time against Hugo before Pandora times out.

(B)

Sturm und Drang

(B)
Cross Revolution

For these trophies you could utilize the handicap option however, you want to build up your Cross Gauge fast as well. Set the opponents Handicap to roughly 50% or 75% to be on the safe side. For your gem load out you want to have the following Cross Gauge gems equipped with the following activation conditions:

http://i.imgur.com/Sh5i038.png

Onslaught Lv 2 (Connect with a launcher)

http://i.imgur.com/Sh5i038.png
Proficiency Lv 1 (Connect 3 special moves)

http://i.imgur.com/Sh5i038.png
Proficiency Lv 1 (Connect 5 normal moves)

The plan is to first trigger Onslaught Lv. 2 which increases the meter you build now build meter by connecting with special moves and normal moves which will also trigger the Proficiency gems which reduces the cross Gauge cost for the moves you need to finish the round with. Once the opponents health is at its lowest and you have enough meter, go ahead and finish them off.

Win a round without getting hit 100 times.

For this trophy you must win a round with a Perfect, you can boost this in Versus mode with a second controller and by utilizing the handicap option mentioned in the above options. Keep in mind that your handicap must be at 100% so you cannot do this while you are grinding Power Consumes All and Splendid Conclusion.

You can keep track of your progress towards these trophies under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.

For this trophy you must play 5 rival battles in Arcade mode. To trigger a rival battle you must play using a special specific team in Arcade mode: Here is a list of all the special teams in the game:

Street Fighter

  • Balrog & Vega (Uneasy Alliance)
  • Chun-Li & Cammy (Cool Beauties)
  • Dhalsim & Sagat (Indomitable Force)
  • Guile & Abel (Military Spirit)
  • M.Bison & Juri (Blood & Anguish)

Oddly enough when you start the battle the trophy will pop up right away.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/682/DA5.jpgThe Root Of Chaos (S)

Defeat all of the bosses in Arcade mode on the hardest difficulty.

For this trophy you must defeat all the bosses in Arcade mode on the hardest difficulty which are only Akuma and Orge. The boss you trigger depends on the first person within your team, if you have a Street Fighter character on point Orge will appear and if you have a Tekken character on point Akuma will appear. The second character in your tag team does not matter, that said you could easily use that to your advantage using Zangief's tactics once again, when starting up arcade mode play under the following settings:

  • Rounds to win: 1
  • Timer: 30

This will help a great deal as you won't have to play long dragged out battles, Zangief has a lot of health so if you block and punish accordingly you are sure to win any time outs. When using Zangief you want to utilize his two greatest tools; Double Lariat (http://bit.ly/1SYWTSshttp://bit.ly/1P5in2dhttp://bit.ly/1Yr9n98) & Spinning Pile-driver (360 motion + http://bit.ly/1PWy6z7). The Double Lariat is easily one of Zangief's abusable moves with the upper body invul he has and deals 150 damage on its own. The Spinning Pile-driver is his command grab and does 180-230 depending on the version. However if you are having trouble performing the 360 commands or if you are too lazy, you can opt to equip Zangief with the Super Easy Input Assist Gem so that you only have to press http://bit.ly/1QFszPhhttp://bit.ly/1PWy6z7 to perform his Pile-driver at the cost of a 10% damage reduction.

For this trophy you must complete 300 combo trials under Challenge Mode within the menu. These trophies are usually the bane of casual gamers looking to obtain the full percentage in modern fighting games however with this one the difficulty as be reduced quite a bit.

The game offers 38 characters of which have 20 combo missions attached to them so you are looking at 760 possible trials you can complete for the trophy, plus the PS3 has console exclusive characters i.e. Cole, Kuro, Toro, Pac-Man and Mega Man which is an additional 100 trials from them. Finally the game will have 12 DLC characters added throughout the year, adding another 240 possible trials which brings us to a grand total of 1100 possible trials you can complete for this trophy. The first 8/20 missions go over special moves for most characters and normals that even a novice can perform, with the large cast of characters anyone should be able to knock this out in no time.

For anyone looking to complete more trials then is required or if you're just having trouble somewhere, please refer to VesperArcade's Street Fighter x Tekken Trial Mode Playlist.

Fight 500 matches online.

For this trophy you must play 500 matches online, win or lose, player match or ranked match, all of them will count towards the trophy so long as you finish the match from start to finish. If you are to boost this with a friend consider boosting some of the technical trophies as well if you are missing any just to get them out of the way in the process. Before anything else you want to have it under the following settings:

  • Rounds to Win: 1
  • Timer: 30

If you are looking for a fast method of going about doing this, have one player select who ever they want so long as they have Attack Gems on their character and have the other player pick Akuma as their point character. Akuma has the lowest health in the game (850) so pound on him until he dies out or you could spam http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98 or http://bit.ly/1Yr9vWa if you want. If done fast enough you could finish each match in about 8 seconds on the clock. When doing this also keep in mind that you and should partner should switch off for victories toward "Your Legend Will Never Die" and pick the same characters if possible for progress towards "Love Is Blind".

Turbo Controller Method:

Boosting this is possible if both players have a controller with a turbo function on it. Have turbo set to :cross: (before doing this both players should map http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98 to :cross:) having it on turbo for :cross: will ready both players up in the lobby right away, select the characters and stages and play out the matches. For the player aiming to get "Your Legend Will Never Die" have your point character set to Nina and for the one purposely losing have yours set to Orge. At the start of the match Nina and Orge will step forward and attack each time they use http://bit.ly/1Yr9n98 however Nina's is much faster and will always beat out Orges resulting in fast 10 second matches while on turbo. Now leave it on overnight for two nights (each respective night should give you roughly close to 300 matches depending on how much one sleeps) and wake up with your trophy in hand without any work.

For these trophies you must win various matches in Ranked Match and level up to a certain rank. To level up you need to accumulate a certain amount of BP online, here is how much BP you will need for each trophy:

(B)

One Down!: One Win

(S)
To The Victor...: 500BP (D+)

(G)
Proof Of Your Victory: 1000BP ©

While you do earn a certain amount of BP for each victory depending on the level of your opponent, (50BP against someone of the same rank) you will also lose a good amount of BP as well (40BP against someone of the same rank) so you will have to be consistently winning in order to earn this.

Boosting Method:

While we do not have a searching method as we did in SFIV we do have loop holes around the system. Typically players online play under the traditional 3 rounds 99 seconds format so any other format is up for grabs for you and a boosting partner to search under, making it easier for you to pair up with each other. Recommended search settings would have to be:

  • Rounds to Win: 1
  • Timer: 30 seconds

While this seems to be the typical way of searching for boosting, you may find yourself pairing up with other people searching under the same settings for the same purpose. If that is the case try changing the time on the search settings then see if you and your partner can pair up.

If you need to find a boosting partner please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

Tips for Legit Play:

While most people will use the above boosting method some daredevils want to do it with their own skill and really earn it (there is nothing wrong with that) so here are a couple tips added to every other bit of information within the Road Map and guide to help you:

Team Synergy

Just like in Marvel vs Capcom, Team Synergy is important so here are some factors you want to consider when selecting your team. Meter usage is important in every way possible but using it offensively some characters may benefit from it more than others or some characters may be better at building meter than the other, keep that in mind when selecting your team order.

Balancing your team is also very important. While in Marvel your team could be used for many things such as combo extenders, ways to get in and many other things due to the ability to call them out through assist, Street Fighter x Tekken does not have that same style. When choosing characters for your team it is important to actually pick characters of playstyles you enjoy and are comfortable with but also consider picking characters to tends to the other characters bad match ups. Picking two characters who are weak against grapplers for example is a battle you don't want to put yourself in.

Match up

Knowing your characters is important but knowing the capabilities of your opponents character is just as important. Learn what moves are unsafe for your opponent and what tools they have such as overheads, cross ups, possible command grabs etc if you want to have a better chance of winning the battle. Also learn what moves you can punish on block so that you can put yourself on the offensive more often.

For more information to better yourself with your character you can refer to Shoryuken's Street Fighter x Tekken Wiki or the Street Fighter x Tekken SRK Character Forums.

Proceed to making the Broadcast Lobby under My Channel (after you select My Channel hit :r1:, after altering your settings press :cross: and it will create your broadcast lobby), when making the lobby make sure you specifically create a Broadcast lobby and keep it open to the public.

Now in the menu of Broadcast Mode go to the playlist and add whatever videos you want from your collection with :triangle:, you can add up to 10 however it will not increase the amount of downloads you get so just keep it at 1 for faster saving for your viewers. After you have selected the replays for the playlist press :circle: and it will save and start the broadcast, now random players can join your lobby if they run a search on My Channel.

If you want this even faster you can get a boosting partner(s) and have them continuously rejoin your lobby to add to your download count. Whenever anyone joins they automatically join and download your playlist and are then kicked out, they can continue to rejoin without having to delete the playlist they just downloaded and can just rinse and repeat. However the search is random and they do have the option to search by typing in your username though that would be a bit tedious. If you have any boosting partners, send them multiple invites into your broadcasting lobby so that they have easy access to your broadcast to help increase your download count faster. Once you have reached 20 downloads your trophy will pop up.

If you need to find a boosting partner please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

Use a character in battle over 300 times.

For this trophy you must select a character in character select at least 300 times over Arcade, Versus and Online mode. While doing all your online matches keep that in mind and stick to the same characters if possible to ensure you get this. If you decide to turbo boost as mentioned under "The Endless Road" the game will automatically reselect your previously selected characters, it will gradually add to your count when you leave it on overnight.

Use Arcade Fight Request 30 times.

To use Arcade Fight request you must be connected to PSN while playing Arcade mode as well as having the Arcade Request on in the settings pre-lobby. Depending on how want to get the Arcade Request you can have it set to two different settings; 3 rounds 99 seconds and 1 round 30 seconds.

With 3 rounds of 99 seconds you will be playing under tournament standard which is what most players play under online, so you will easily get matched up with opponents online. With the second option you are basically boosting with someone so while you face them you guys can boost for "Proof Of Your Victory".

If you need to find a boosting partner please refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

Access the Store.

For this trophy you must be connected to the PSN network. The last option on the main menu is the store, which is basically a quick access to any Street Fighter x Tekken DLC they release on the PSN Store. Once you enter for the first time the trophy will pop.

Special Thanks:

RED_REBEL44 for taking ALL of my graphic requests for this guide, thank you again for all your help

Kurushii for helping with various trophy/information confirmations

Notice:

For the most part the guide is complete, there may be a couple errors or things that need to be fixed here and there but those will be addressed in good time. The biggest factor missing is a Mission Mode guide which is probably the most necessary thing for this game, at this time we have the following thread for information and aid:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/street-fighter-x-tekken/149746-all-missions-cleared.html

Once a proper guide is made it will be added to the main guide.

Another great quality Trophy Guide, Setsuna! :applause:

I was just waiting for you to make a guide for this game. :D

Do you plan to give a advice for each Mission? Some are a real pain.

Thank you ~ (It seems you were waiting for all the parts to be posted lol)

Waiting for more information atm, trying different things but it seems the A.I just doesn't want me to have my way. If no one else does it I plan on making a separate thread for Mission Mode.

Yeah, lol

I didn't want to post in the middle of the guide, so I just waited until the reservation were done. ;)

Since Zangief's Lariat is not as effective as in SSFIV, I tried to find a substitute.

For now, Hugo's Meat Squasher seem to catch them 70% when they get up after you knocked them down and if you are the one who is knocked down, Moonsault Press will catch like 70% too.

The only problem is if you miss because they jumped or did it too soon, you will get a nasty combo. :(

I know I destroyed Mission ? (The survival vs. all the females) by timing Meat Squasher and Moonsault Press. Its not the best thing but its helped me, I also put the Super Easy Input gem to not have my thumbs hurt from the repeated 360 motion.

Yeah I run into that problem too, I tried all the grapplers in the game and they just don't seem as viable unless you really know how to use time and even then you also have to fight against the clock so being alittle hasty can get you punished and ruin your flow :(

I found this guy's videos completing most missions.

Showing my tactic with Hugo on Mission 18.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVx7RUpyBhU]Street Fighter X Tekken: Mission 18 - Ferocious Instinct - YouTube[/ame]

His other videos might give some idea around the AI and advice for the missions.

Hope this help.

Ryu's solar to shoryken works also. Turtle a bit and wait until that dumb bear rolls and own him. 25-30 hours for this. No way with 500 moves and 300 each finish lol. I'd be done by now if there was a shorter way :D

This will probably take a little longer than the estimated hours because of the grind online and the current lag problems... And much, much more if you actually play instead of mindless boosting. I don't want to ruin my average. :p

Lol'ed at Hugo just squashing Kuma over and over. Thanks for those videos.

I hope when the time comes to rate the difficulty of this game people don't only compare it to fighting games and underestimate it... of course it will be easier than most of those, but the standard for fighting games is 9-10.

Great guide Setsuna! you improved an awesome effort, congrats and thanks! will be very helpful :D

500 online matches even with 10 second wins and 1 round is going to take a minimum of 8 hours just on its own. Combine that with needing 1000+ vs matches for the move use trophies, and honestly, that 25-30 hrs is just crazy.

Yh... a looong grind, and you did not include the missions & trials HOURS!! :S
