Introduction

Street Fighter IV consists of 48 trophies (27 offline, 20 online), which you can get in Arcade mode and in different Challenge modes. Also, some offline trophies can be obtain in online battles.

Step 1 - Arcade Mode

Begin the arcade mode with any of the 16 characters that you are good with. If you aren't good with any of them, I would suggest going into training mode and learning some of characters moves. There are 8 battles in arcade mode that you must complete. There are unlockable characters that you must get with certain characters in order to get
The World Warrior
trophy. (All explained in the guide)

Step 2 - Challenge Mode

It is best to do this mode after you have achieved all 25 characters in arcade mode. Don't take these challenges for granted, they are quite hard to complete, especially if you are trying to receive a gold medal for each one. There are 100 challenges that you must complete (Time Attack, Survival, Trial). You will also receive a reward after each certain challenge. (All explained in the guide)

Step 3 - Online Mode

These online trophies are easy, but a few of them are time consuming. You can do this online mode before the challenge mode, but that's entirely up to you though. If you want to boost the wins and playing many online battles use
thread to find yourself an online partner.

Unlock all characters.

This game has a total of 25 characters and you only start out with 16 of them. To get the secret characters you must complete Arcade mode on any difficulty setting with only certain characters like:

Sakura - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Ryu.

Dan - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Sakura.

Cammy - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Crimson Viper.

Gen - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Chun-Li.

Fei Long - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Abel.

Rose - Successfully complete Arcade mode with M. Bison.

Akuma - After unlocking all the characters except for Akuma, Gouken, and Seth, play Arcade mode with any character and set the rounds to 1. Get at least one 'Perfect' victory, and do not lose a single round to fight Akuma after beating Seth. Defeat Akuma to unlock him.

Gouken - Successfully complete Arcade mode with Akuma, then play Arcade mode with any character and set the rounds to 1. Get at least one 'Perfect' victory, three 'Ultra' combo finishes, five 'First Attack' hits, and do not lose a single round to fight Gouken after beating Seth. Defeat Gouken to unlock him.

Seth - Successfully complete Arcade mode with all characters, including the bonus characters.

Titles are what you get for doing certain things in battle. There are 432 titles and 240 icons to achieve in order to get both trophies. Here's a list of titles & icons and how to get them. (Credit goes to X360A)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/006.jpg Special Move Master * (B)

Perform 100 Special Moves.

To take a look at each characters special move, press :start:, go to Command List, and choose a character. All of your character's Special Moves should be listed there.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/007.jpg EX-cellent Master * (B)

Perform 100 EX Special Moves.

EX Special Moves are performed the same way you do a special move, except you'll have to press two of the same type of attack buttons at the same time. This will also drain 1 EX bar each time you perform these moves.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/008.jpg Super Combo Master * (B)

Perform 100 Super Combos.

A Super Combo can be performed once your EX gauge is completely full. Look in your Command List to figure out how to perform your character's Super Combo. Note, your EX gauge stays filled between rounds, but not matches though. If you have three or more rounds set, you should be able to have it filled by the second round.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/009.jpg Ultra Combo Master * (B)

Perform 100 Ultra Combos.

A Ultra Combo can be performed once your 'Revenge Bar' fills up halfway and starts flaming and flashing. You can let it fill up all the way for extra damage. Ultra's are the same as Super's, but instead you have to push all 3 buttons instead of 1.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/010.jpg Focus Master * (B)

Perform 100 successful Focus Attacks.

A Focus Attack can be performed by pushing medium kick and medium punch at the same time. When it comes to this kind of attack, it's about timing it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/011.jpg Crowd Pleasing Master * (B)

Perform 10 Personal Actions.

A Personal Action (Taunt) can be performed by pushing the :r1:+:r2: together at the same time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/012.jpg Super Combo Champion * (B)

Perform 50 Super Combo finishes.

You have to end the match by defeating your opponent, using a Super Combo.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/013.jpg Ultra Combo Champion * (B)

Perform 50 Ultra Combo finishes.

You have to end the match by defeating your opponent, using a Ultra Combo.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/014.jpg Sunny Daze * (S)

Perform 365 flashy background finishes.

You have to defeat your opponent 365 times, with either a Super or Ultra Combo.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/015.jpg Simply Perfect * (B)

Achieve 10 Perfect victories.

To make things easier, you can set the difficulty to easiest in Arcade mode and defeat your opponent each time with Perfects. This also counts by rounds, and not matches.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/016.jpg Arcade Rat (B)

Clear Arcade Mode with 1 character on Medium or higher difficulty.

See Storied Reputation trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/017.jpg Storied Reputation (S)

Clear Arcade Mode with all characters on Medium or higher difficulty.

Self explanatory.

An easier way to do this is by setting the rounds to 1 with 30 seconds of time. You can pick Zangief and keep using his spin technique. Once you get to Seth, you can either try and take him out or do more damage than he does to you, and block until the time rounds out.

Clear Arcade Mode without using a single continue on Medium or higher difficulty.

Self explanatory.

To get this done over quickly, set the rounds to 1 and 30 seconds.

Clear Arcade Mode on Hardest difficulty.

See Legendary Champion trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/80/020.jpg Legendary Champion (S)

Defeat Gouken and clear Arcade Mode in Hardest difficulty.

In order to make Gouken appear, you must successfully complete Arcade mode with Akuma, then play Arcade mode with any character. Set the rounds to 1 with 30 seconds. Get at least one 'Perfect' victory, three 'Ultra' combo finishes, five 'First Attack' hits, and do not lose a single round to fight Gouken after beating Seth. Defeat Gouken to unlock him. I would suggest pressing the :ps: button on a second controller, and when your about to lose, just press :start: on it. This will prevent you from losing to him. Defeat your second controller and you will go back to him afterwards. (Note: people have been having a problem making him appear, just keep trying and he'll eventually appear.)

Here's a thread, from X360A (credit goes to them), on techniques on how to beat Seth.

*These trophies can be completed in any game mode that allows you to defeat your opponent. This includes Arcade, Versus (local and online), Survival and/or Time Attack. They do not unlock in Training or Trial.

Time Attacks will take awhile to do, depending on your skill and if you are trying to receive the gold medal. All the normal challenges are easy to do if you do the Zangief technique. You can't do Special Moves on Level 14, so you can read below on how to pass it.

Choose Dhalsim and use his  Heavy Kick(:r2:) and Heavy Punch(:r1:) all the time until you have a Super or Ultra Combo, and then unleash it when you see a chance. The first opponent should be Honda, if so, keep your distance and guard a lot. The difficult part will be Akuma. When he does his Ultra, jump in the air. If you get hit, press :start: and start over, because your done for if you get hit by it. Watch the timer because you only get 5 seconds/match. Use your Ultra's if you have an opening, just like Super, it will give you bonus seconds. (Credit goes to X360A)

help! the Legendary Champion trophy is proving to be a nightmare, i followed capcom's guide to make gouken appear but everytime i complete the game akuma appears instead! i have tried 1 perfect, ultra finishes 3 and 5 first attacks with 1 round and 99 seconds on the clock, i confirmed it by watching someone on youtube do exactly these requirements and gouken appeared, but when i did the same, only akuma appeared.

i then tried, 4 perfects, 9 ultra finishes, and 20 first attacks with 1 round and 99 seconds on the clock, but yet again gouken didn't appear, the question i want to ask is why is he not appearing even though i have done all the requirements, it puzzles me. and yes i made sure it was on the hardest difficulty too.

try putting the difficult to easiet and then do it. i've seen a youtube video where the person did it on the easiest difficulty and Gouken appeared.

i am going for the Legendary Champion trophy that requires you to play on the hardest difficulty, not easiest. you should know what the requirements are, it's your guide after all.

What about the XCM KO Gear? Is it help a lot?

A XCM device, turbo controller or fighting stick can help, I'm sure. I have an XCM K.O. Gear and I wouldn't have been able to complete all of MK vs DC kombo challenges without it. I've used it on some of the SFIV trials and I've been able to get past some of the trials I was regularly struggling with on normal mode (haven't tried hard yet). But since you're a casual gamer, I'd recommend something cheaper, like a turbo controller.

Hey, that's cool. How you set up that device? Do I have to manually synchronize with every possible skill/movement each character? Or it will auto synchronize?

A combo has to be inserted manually. You are given five memory buttons and you can program moves or a string of combos in any of those buttons. Say for instance you are given a trial of Crimson Viper which calls for you to perform: jumping high punch + standing medium punch + crouching medium punch + super move, then finally an ultra move. If you have trouble executing the full move, on a XCM you can program half the combo in one memory button and the super + ultra move together on another button. Time both the two buttons correctly and the combo gets completed.

My favorite thing about the device (other than the multiple programming buttons) is that it also remembers how you time a move. Many turbo programmable controllers will only execute an inserted combo but won't recognize the pauses the player inserts. However, the XCM does, which is important if the player needs to strategize the timing of how the opponent falls or if a particular move calls for specific timing or break before the next hit. It's a great device, but I still recommend a controller or fight stick over it only because of the price tag. It's a really expensive little gimmick. Yet...I like my little gimmick lol

Thank you for your explanation.

After you memorized i.e Crimson Viper, can you use that memories to other characters? Or you have to insert manually again?

And is it mean that you should overwrite the Crimson Viper memory?

Thank you for your explanation.

And is it mean that you should overwrite the Crimson Viper memory?

You'd have to manually insert a new button combination if a trial calls for different combos. Otherwise, the current programmed combos will carry over to the next trial and to other characters as well. Or you can just enter a new combo in any of the remaining memory buttons if you're afraid of overwriting a saved combo. Even after you unhook the controller from the little memory unit, the device will still keep your saved combos stored in case you want to use them again on another day.

The unit can program a string of 20 button strokes total for each memory slot. I assume it could piss a lot of people off if you used it for actual fighting. I tried it online for Tekken 6 only once and I entered a 10-hit combo in one memory button. The person didn't have a chance. I felt guilty since it wasn't by my own skill and never used it for the purposes of fighting human players ever again. I doubt inserted combos would work well for SFIV online since many for the great combos ask for super or ultra moves at the end of the string. All it takes is a person to block your first move and it screws up the entire sequence, so you would have wasted your ultra/super move.
