Introduction

This is my first attempt ever at a Trophy Guide, I apologize if I'm doing it wrong, but I've gotten a lot of the trophies for this already and I'll tell you how to do it. This game is a lot of fun if you're willing to put the time in and learn it. There is a Trial Mode in this game similar to Street Fighter IV, but much harder so you if you've played that you should have an idea of what to expect. It's not impossible, will take tons of patience and you may want to smash your controller at times. Aside from the Trial Mode, the rest of the trophies are not that bad.

Step One: Complete arcade mode.

If you preordered the title then you automatically had the final boss Gill unlocked. He is the key to making this as quick and painless as possible. Play on default difficulty and spam his LP fireball from across the screen, his MP and HP will also hit your oppenent when they jump in. Throw in random lariats, sweeps and headstomps and you should have no problems beating Arcade Mode. If you don't have Gill then I would recommend learning one of the top tier characters (Chun Li, Yun, Ken) and practicing until you're good enough to defeat each character without losing. You have to win 8 matches in a row without losing to face Q to unlock 'Mystery Man'.

When you have done this, you should have unlocked:

- Pocket Full of Quarters

- Mystery Man

Step Two: Start Multiplayer mode with 2 controllers

Many of the trophies in this game can be obtained by going into 2 player mode and spamming moves. You can unlock all of your 'moves' related trophies here.

Step Three: Going online

Online you will have to participate in a tournament and watch each match without quitting, upload a replay, watch a replay with someone from your PSN friends list and win 5 ranked matches in a row. Simple right!?

Step Four: Trials

This is the part of the game that will take the longest, by far. You must complete 55 trials. They're all unlocked from the start so it doesn't matter which trials you complete. Each character has 5, and there are also parry trials and so on. This part of the game is hard and why I put the difficulty at 9 instead of a 5 or 6. The trials will not be for the faint of heart.

Complete the challenge 'Pocket Full Of Quarters'.

Play through Arcade Mode on default difficulty settings. I found this very simple by playing as Gill spamming fireballs, headstomps and lariats. If you didn't preorder the game then Gill will not automatically be unlocked, so if that's the case you will have to actually learn a characters ins and outs, get good enough and play through legitimately. If you did preorder the game and you're looking for Gill, he's hidden on the select screen beneath Alex.

Fight against Q in Arcade Mode to unlock this trophy. A special thank you to LoneGunman1986 for updated and more accurate info for fighting Q.

Normally Q will never show up as a CPU opponent. However, you can

fight him if you fulfill the following requirements by the time you've

reached Stage 7 or 8.

- Don't lose any rounds

- Don't continue.

- Get a grade of at least a D or better on every stage.

- Get 2 or more Special Points.

- Get more than X Super Art Finishes, where X equals:

1-round battles X= 3 Super Art finishes

3-round battles 5 Super Art finishes

5-round battles 7 Super Art finishes

7-round battles 9 Super Art finishes

Complete the first tier of the challenge 'Sticks & Stones' in any mode.

For this trophy you must defeat an opponent with a taunt. The easiest way to do this is to go into 2 player mode and play as Dudley against whoever, beat them up until they have very little health left and taunt. For his taunt he tosses a rose at his opponent which does a small amount of damage but can defeat them.

Complete the third tier of the challenge 'Wax On, Wax Off' in any mode.

Perform 75 parries to unlock this trophy. To perform a parry, press foward and the exact moment of impact from an opponent's attack. It sounds much harder than it is. The way I did this was by turning the timer to infinite & going into 2 player VS and player 2 as Ryu and I picked Chun Li for player 1. From fullscreen have Ryu do LP Hadouken (his slowest one) then on 1P controller hit foward at the moment of impact. Do this 75 more times to unlock your trophy. While you're here and have the timer turned off you might as well do the next three trophies as well...

Complete the third tier of the challenge 'EX-ceptional' in any mode.

Perform 75 EX moves. An EX move is any super move performed with 2 attack buttons instead of one. Your character will flash when the move is performed. You must have your Super bar at the bottom of the screen flashing blue and white to perform an EX move. You can fill your bar by performing any attacks. I chose Chun Li because her bar seems to fill the fastest by pressing Away+HP for her palm thrust. Just spam palm thrust to fill the bar then perform EX, do this 74 more times and the trophy is yours. Another easier way if you have a turbo controller is to map a button to all 3 kick buttons and keep it pressed down and she will spam lightning legs.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/684/925.jpgSuper Artist(B)

Complete the third tier of the challenge 'Super Artist' in any mode.

Perform 75 Super Moves. Use the same method as above. Go to 2 player mode, pick Chun Li and spam Away+HP (palm thrust) to fill your completely then perform her Super move. Do this 74 more times for the trophy. (NOTE: A 'Super' move is different from a 'Special' move. Your 'Super' is the move that you select after you select your character that you will be using. Along the way you will also unlock...

Complete the first tier of the challenge 'Big Finish' in any mode.

Just finish the match with a Super Move.

Complete the challenge 'Practice Makes Perfect'.

For this trophy you must complete 55 Trials. The trials are the reason I put 200+ hours for the time to 100% this game. They are quite difficult (especially for SF newcomers) and will take a lot of practice to complete 55. The trials vary from performing a single parry, to recreating [ame=www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS7hkwbKmBM]EVO Moment #37[/ame]

Each character also has 5 trials. Youtube user RoydRoydRoyd has started to upload a guide to completing the character trials but hasn't yet completed it. I'm sure there will be several in the coming weeks.

I got quite a bit of the trophies already including the 5 wins. I just haven't synched them yet. I love this game, but it seems to be a bit buggy here and there. Great guide.

Oh and that damn EVO moment is harder than I thought. LOL I get so damn close and then I lose it. The last kick always comes through for some reason.

I dropped the difficulty at the main menu and Q did not show up. I believe you have to leave everything default for him to appear. Unless I had a stroke somewhere and didn't realize I lost, he didn't come up.

I also somehow managed to beat Gill losing only 1 round. I feel like a damn God.

They didn't change the number of wins but it is possible that difficulty affects this one..

I have now beaten the arcade mode twice with Gill, no Q and no Pocket Full of Quarters trophy. What's the deal?

Pocket Full of Quarters came up right away for me, and a number of people are having issues getting Q. See above :-/

diffculty 3 stars

round time 99

rounds 2

it didnt work

What didn't work? Q?

So it seems that if you toy around with the settings, trophies in arcade are turned off. That's the only explanation I can think of.

Edited guide to reflect arcade playthrough needs to be on default difficulty until further confirmation otherwise.
